Title: Has anyone played at everydice.com
Post by: 888 on March 08, 2014, 08:58:15 AM
I tried this game and think it has a nice design and good user experience. However, it experienced some "attack" yesterday and the site was down for 2.5 hours: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476334.msg5581049#msg5581049

Has anybody played there? Is it legit?

I haven't gambled there, but I invested some minor amounts. It seems legit to me.

I haven't tried it, and I don't know about the legitimacy of the site.
But one thing I do know is that 99% of all the sites that "get hacked" or experience "an attack", are really the owner shutting it down and running off with all the money they possibly can. It's the standard way to scam people with those sites.

I think I tried this site before. I think I tried using the freeroll and have successfully withdraw.

Hm, that seems like good news. However, most of these sites actually work properly for the first couple weeks - months to gain people's trust. It's no guarantee that they haven't actually just ran off.

I played there and the experience was good. Don't know how much they lost during this attack, but they said they'd cover the loss of investors: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476334.msg5568357#msg5568357

Haven't played in it. I'd stick to more reputable sites until you can smell a scam from a mile away.

No matter how reputable a site is you are gambling anyway.

But gambling on an uknown site has triple the risk due to the fact they could hve rigged the game.

There is a difference between gambling with your money in the sense that there's a chance you'll lose it, but in return there's a chance you'l win back the money you risked + a profit, and gambling in the sense where you THINK you have a chance of winning back your money with a profit, where in reality the owner of the gambling site is collecting enough cash to run off with.

Reputable sites are better, you can't argue with that.
Try a real site, like Primedice.

My experience is never storing any BTC on any sites, no matter for trading or investing purpose. Just make a few bets, try the luck and withdraw.

Meh, even if a site has positive reviews from earlier doesn't mean they can f*ck up / run away at any time.

You should never store your bitcoin on an exchange/gambling site IMO.
If you don't have sole control of the private keys, you don't control the bitcoin.

I have played this, just made 0.05BTC withdraw :)
And I deposited just 0.03BTC so I almost doubled it.

Still my total profit is -0.0065BTC but it was funny to play :)
I think I am going to keep at least small brake for now.

I don't play. Never gamble, you always lose.

In long term, you always lose due to the house edge.
In short term, you could win or lose, but the chance of losing is a bit higher due to the house edge.

I suggest NO ONE to start gambling if you don't and the fact that mostly you will lose the money you gamble.

for current gamblers: I played there once with a 0.001 free account and it's little slow but with good graphics and a wide variety of options (including an advanced looking investment system) I got my cashout sent too.

It all depends on how much you bet. You can make 1-satoshi bets just for fun. :)

That's just a waste of time. What's fun in Dice games?

Yeah you can lose bitcoin quite fast there on dice sites. I like roulette or poker where u can play slow and lose or win money slow.  You wil have time to realize to leave the game.

It all depends on how much you bet. You can make 1-satoshi bets just for fun. :)

That's just a waste of time. What's fun in Dice games?
The fact that you can win money? Lol. All gambling is exciting imo. :)

But with 1-satoshi bets you can't make money so it isn't exciting.

People are showing proof that they've been paid. For the future, googling the site name + scam when you're unsure about something usually gives you all the information you need, unless the site is brand new.

Haven't played in it. I'd stick to more reputable sites until you can smell a scam from a mile away.

No matter how reputable a site is you are gambling anyway.

PrimeDice doesn't not even have instant withdrawal, everydice is much better on this.

It is not important to me.
If you trust the site, a short delay shouldn't be much problem at all.
If you don't trust the site, you won't feel comfortable depositing your bitcoin even if it claims to do instant withdrawal.

That's basically what I was thinking as well. A illegitimate site won't let you withdraw even if they claim it's "instant". :)
Both every dice and primedice are good sites though.

Haven't played in it. I'd stick to more reputable sites until you can smell a scam from a mile away.

No matter how reputable a site is you are gambling anyway.

PrimeDice doesn't not even have instant withdrawal, everydice is much better on this.
And what are the benefits of instant withdrawal? Except for the obvious, that it's instant, why is it important?

It is not important to me.
If you trust the site, a short delay shouldn't be much problem at all.
If you don't trust the site, you won't feel comfortable depositing your bitcoin even if it claims to do instant withdrawal.

Isn't it important? Maybe I'm a little bit paranoid, but I'm eager to see my money.

Have you tested the investment side yet?

I invested, played and referred people on this site, the experience is quite good.

Where is the refferal program for that site?

There's no specific such rule, but moderators ( from my experience ) tend to delete posts / remove the referral link, if they're posted solely to get referrals.

Most of the sites don't even ask for a username.

Yes, I tried this site but I would suggest not to use any of sites like these because eventually you will lose your money there. It's really a gamble If you will back out at the right time maybe you'll make some money but eventually you lose money there, so It's not a good place to go with intention that you'll make money and from my experience they seem to be legit.

I agree with you. Never gamble for a profit because eventually you're gonna lose.

Invest in the bankroll of a casino might be helpful for getting a profit though.

Now I have tried this and the unfortunate thing is when it comes to gambling for me, I never usually win. However for this site I have been successful and have successfully withdrawn a few times in the past. It did have some type of hiccup or some type of glitch in the recent past when I tried to bet but I believe that was a minor issue that got fixed fast. The problem that really arose for me is when I actually play is the betting. I truly don't believe the chances are what they may seem because I get on some pretty massive loosing streaks and it's a tad bit ridiculous because I constantly loose bitcoins over and over again while the ratio of win to lose gradually becomes smaller and smaller. And when I do on the off chance score a win the cash out process is a huge lag and an annoyance. Your best bet is to go with Luckybit. That gambling site I can actually vouch for not because I've won anything major (at this point I think I may be a bit below) but the provability is pretty fair and cashing out is a breeze. I personally would go there if you are wanting to score some easy bitcoin by taking a risk. It would be the most fairest out of most all gambling methods. More so then everydice.com

Good luck man trying to win some Bitcoin! Hopefully you are more successful then I am (which is never for the most part lol)

for me 2x 100% on loss 100 base.

0.01 for 100 base

you can increase base according to your deposit.

always work 3 out of 4 times.
