Title: What is death really?
Post by: redlips06 on November 08, 2018, 10:20:10 PM
I have been thinking many times about death.. and that scares me only when thinking about the word.
I really don't know how to overcome this fear. Sometimes gets stuck in my mind and i can make all this horrible scenarios where i end up in hell or i wake up in darkness and i can only talk to myself.
Does anyone fear death same as me?

When you die, you no longer exist.  You won't wake up.

I don't fear death - I just don't want to suffer before I die.  But in the end, it doesn't really matter.

If you fear death, perhaps you can be comforted with the news that there are already researchers doing everything they can to make virtual immortality possible. I've read that they are expecting it to be done within this century. You can have your mind and consciousness uploaded into the internet or something and possibly be able to live like that FOREVER.

I think death has its own path, and fearing death won't make an impact in any body's life. The dead are gone and there's no amount of worries or fear that can  be done to bring back the dead or change anything.

Nope. Because I believe that one day in my lifetime, some tech giant will invent a technology that can extend my life. Whether it's through biological extension or using a technology, I'm not sure, but I have no doubt that it will happen sooner or later.

Did you fear the time before you were born? Most people probably have some anxiety about death, but it's pointless wasting valuable time and life thinking about the inevitable. Enjoy your life now and don't worry about things you have no control of. I don't believe in heaven or hell but if you're a good person then why worry about the latter? If you're not a good person then work on improving that and maybe that will reduce some of the anxiety you have.

But in the end, it doesn't really matter.

Just because you don't remember your womb life now doesn't mean that you didn't remember it earlier but forgot about it.

Why would I trust you about an afterlife ? Have you been there and come back ? Why would I distrust science and instead trust some random dude on the internet?

Actually there were the time I’ve been thinking really a lot about death. I feared to being alone, to die alone, to die with the feeling that I’ve done really nothing in my whole life. But now I just think that everything has an end and the only thing you can do is stay strong and not to fear the end.
So death for me is when you meet the end and you're like 'OK, well, this is the end of me'

I think for many people the older they get the more they worrie and get a bot of deze around it.....
like 50+ peoples sometimes see old friends get sick or die young age.... so i understand it would play in peoples mind
(@ the same time its also very personal-religion related in many cases etc )

I would say do not think to much on what you absolutly cannot change

Usually they say, if you're afraid of death, you probably haven't lived life to the fullest. So, while you're alive, live a good life. Don't procrastinate on things that you ought to be doing now,. Be good to people. If there's anything you want to try out (skydiving, etc), go have fun, try it out and enjoy life. Don't worry about what happens after you die. That's another world and no one knows.

Now if it helps to ease a little bit, there are some virtual reality research going on to "preserve" you in virtual space, a concept of virtual immortality. I know it sounds a little crazy, but if immortality eases the thought of death for you, hope that could help.

First of all, what is death? Death happens when your entire body just stops functioning. That's it. No resurrection. No more waking up. Do I fear death? Hell yes! I'm young, and I want to live long. Like, if there's a way for me to live forever I would, even though I know that's not possible right now. But it will come for us one day. We just don't know when.

Death is a state of mind. You aren't your body, you are your mental states. If you let your mental states perish, you perish.

Why would you think death is just a dream? A dream would imply some sort of consciousness. What if the dream turns into a nightmare? A dream that you can't wake up from sounds like a nightmare to me. Maybe you meant an eternal sleep? Or an eternal, dreamless sleep?

I went through a stage in my life where I was obsessed with death and was really afraid of it and I still am but don't think as much about it. The thing is you won't wake up. There is no perception or consciousness left. The interesting thing about it is that we are our consciousness, it's like the software stops running. I wonder if we can replicate the same software in other hardware.

Also this is an interesting video on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGUpYD_Ze_E

Death isn't the end. Like as nobody knows how life came about or how it works, so nobody knows that it won't happen again.

People of science and the medical now recognize that the chemistry of living is made up of complex machines. Machines have makers. Look for revelation of the Maker of the machines of life so that you can find the way to eternal life.

I recommend the Bible, starting with Mark in the New Testament.

Afraid of dying means you still have sins to be forgiven,because theres no best thing in life than to die with God and fearing nothing because of Gods on your heart

When i was i my younger days i made lots of sins thats why i dont wanna die for being afraid to go in hell,but when I accept God in my life things has changed and now i am ready to die at any time

The first thing I think is that you should not think about what is still very far, why overload yourself with thoughts! Everything has its time. Just accept and forget! There are many versions of death, but no one has told the truth. Many mediums say that death is just a transition to another life, to another dimension, and it’s not clear that this is true, and no one will tell you that. There are only many theories that have not been proven by anyone, for one reason only - that no one has returned from the world of the dead.

Death is the end of your life, human flesh, soul and spirit.

But, there are two forms of it.

It seems that all people die physically.

There will be a resurrection. All who accept Jesus as their Savior will not experience the second death. All who don accept Jesus as their Savior will experience an eternal destruction that is the second death.

Loss of pulse, and consciousness. When there is no man and never will be. Death can be considered the end, but in many scriptures it bears meaning not only as the loss of people's lives, but also as a transformation, the end of something, such as bad periods in life, ie death is a new stage and often changes.

From what I observed, those people who fears death, are the ones that are afraid to leave this world without it acknowledging his existence. It is sad to be just the ordinary guy who just existed and has no "meaningful" contribution in the society.

TRansfer from one world to another world.
It's the same as when child is born.
Child die in one world (mother's womb), world of water and is born in other world, world of air.
In order to live in this world, child must develop lungs in the mother's womb, so 9 months of preparation is needed.
When our physical body die, we are born third time, in the spiritual world.
In this world we have to prepare our lungs for the spiritual world so that we can breathe in the other world.
We can breathe in the other world if we developed love in this world.

It is really unfortunate to think about that but it doesn't mean we shouldn't strive harder. This world may forget us but at least you could become the best version of yourself. To think about it, I realized that every decision I made has lead me on this road. That road, has many bumps but at the end of this, my goal is to be happy before I die. So, don't let yourself feel down by obstacles because there are also a lot of solutions that can answer our problems. Just like what the upcoming exchanger of Bitrus (https://to.crwd.cr/z7G). Things like this can greatly help us to continue our journey in this career.

I used to fear death when I was a young child because I thought we disappear forever from the universe and we are lost forever. Think that death is inevitable and eventually it is going to reach to everyone of us so there is no point in fearing it. Just live your life at the fullest and enjoy it because you only have one life.

What is death really?

Death is the separation of the body and soul. The body has the ability through its brain connections to form complex shapes in the neurons. These shapes are so complex and tiny, that they affect the aether (which we call empty space). In their affecting of the aether, they actually reach outside the universe.

Death of the body allows the soul (the shapes) to fly away. The problem is that the soul has no method for operating if it doesn't have a body. It simply exists.

People who believe in Jesus salvation are given a new, temporary body at death. This new body allows them to be active within the universe. Remember the thief on the cross who asked Jesus to remember him when Jesus came into His kingdom? Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in paradise," not Heaven. He received a new, temporary body from God... one which has been holding him alive to fly around the universe for the last 2,000 years.

Why is the body temporary? Because at the Judgment Day, God will start a destruction of this universe, and start a new universe for His saved people. The new universe will have no imperfection in it. God's people will be raised from the dead to a new perfect body to live in the new universe forever.

What happens to the people who die without believing in Jesus salvation? They simply float out of control in the vast voids of space, never seeing or understanding anything... because they have not been given a new, temporary body. At the Judgment Day they will be raised from the dead to go to their destruction along with this universe. They will never die. They will continue on to eternity in their continual destruction.

How can they be continually destroyed without dying? When Jesus did His work on the cross, He won a new body for everybody... not only the people who would be saved. The new body is not able to die any longer, just like Jesus was raised from the dead, and lives forever. Since Jesus won a new body even for the evil people, they won't be able to die. But not being taken into the new universe with the saved, they will continue on forever in the destruction of this universe, because everything in this universe will be destroy, even if it takes to eternity to do it.

Death is the separation of the body and soul.

Eventually, death is the separation of every cell in your body, as it decays.

Every person has the fear of death, but the degree of it's manifestation is different.There are two fundamental truths: the first one -is we all die, the second truth -is that's unknown, when it happens.
An obtrusive fear of death or a thanatophobia, scientifically speaking,one of the most widespread fear.A thanatophobia is the fear out of some source of threat. Because, we are alive, there is no death ! And when He comes, we have already passed away!
When a person is thinking of death, the first of all, he or she is afraid of:
- non-existence, absence of reality, namely, not-being;
- uncertainty.What cause of your death will be, what happens when you die;
- to lose control of  a situation;
- to have incurable illness and die hard;
- to leave relatives and thoughts of their living  without you;
- to lose "public face" in the teeth of death .
How one can reduce the fear of death:
They will remember you!The more you have done for children, relatives, mankind, the greater is the memory of you. It's the fundamental truth, You won't go missing. So, it's better to do good things, than shiver in your boots thinking of death.
Let you not fear death, because a thanatophobia is the fear of life. Live, as you want, and as you can, and as you have to you, but not as someone is necessary. There is no sense to spent the precious minutes of life to fear.
Be optimistic. Optimists are able to find positive moments in any bad situation. Don't fear death and you will live longer.
All the health and long life.

It should not scare you, it's normal and it's part of life, just worry about doing things well and not doing evil to people in this life,
with that you do not condemn yourself, because there is something that should be clear,
 everything bad that is done, in this life you pay.

Everyone must be afraid of it but death is a secret that we do not know how it is, its time, place, etc. However, this fear will be lost if we prepare ourselves closer to God by increasing worship according to each religion.
