Hey guys, what was your best investment/profit in this “red year” 2018? I want to read your success stories to become motivated!

2018 hasn't really been the year for me in terms of profits. The best I'll say was buying GO coins at 598 sats and selling them at 1264 sats. Unfortunately, it was a $100 investment so the spoil wasn't too significant.

My investment this year is not encouraging at all because I've lost about 70 percent on my investment in ethereum, the other investment that have given some yield is stellar lumem, I bought at 0.06 and now it's trading at 0.2 and still growing

I think the best investment in 2018 is to invest in Ethereum. I believe that, ETH in 2019, will cost 1000 + $

I think the current market situation is enough for us to become motivated to buy more and invest more since the price is low. After that, we'll just sit in the couch, wait check the current status of the coin, and wait for its turn to give us some profit.

My best investment in 2018 is Ethereum give a big advantage when I sell it. Currently my investment remains focused on Ethereum, buying at this time is a good opportunity for long-term investment.

2018 is not investment year so i think there is not best investment or profit investment. When the market goes down in the whole 2018, some short term investment gave me profit but it's not worth to count. I hope the market in 2019 will be better.

At the early of 2018, all investments were always successful especially are ETH and LTC.

I have envolved in this cryptomarket on 2017,and it was profitable year, but this year is the worst and no earning for me I lost 70% of my money, I think it was better to stay away or freez from the market this year.

Nothing big gain in this shit year, i just doing daily trade with small amount, cause worry about bear market. Sometime daily trade is a good way. Small profit but low risk i thing.

All my investments this year had given me loss only. Still I am not sad because of this because I know that prices will recover. I had invested only that money which I would not mind loosing as well because I wanted to be safe. This allows me to be patient with my investments.

I have found several coins during 2018 that pegged ETH at a higher level than was current during the pre sales ICO period which meant you were getting more coins for every ETH you invested than during the main sale. As the coins haven't yet unlocked that means with ETH having dropped from a peg rate of $800 to under $200 I have already made x 4 by retaining its value compared to the open market.

It seems that 2018 did not find a good investment project. Many projects started to be very good, but after the listing, the price of the token always fell below the crowdfunding price.

I made the best investment Altcoin as 2018. because of the many developments that indicated Altcoin able to make Altcoin as the main advantages with increasing development and making it so expensive.

I think this is a dull year. I made a small dollar in July. At that time, the market was rising, but the cryptocurrency fell rapidly when the World Cup was coming, so I left the cryptocurrency market. This year's unsuitable investment in cryptocurrencies has been releasing its own bubble.

the best thing when I invest in 2018 is Ethereum and Bitcoin, indeed when looking at the second exchange the tokens are in a bad price, but I trade with long term rather I can get profits from the ups and downs of the coin price.

I can only invest in time and effort since I am a bounty hunter. The most profitable bounty I have ever joined will be Nebeus NBTK token(The project is dead now)I joined the signature campaign for 3 months and sold my reward for $1500 USD. After that, I got unlucjy and joined scam ICO's. :-( Hopefully, I can that amount of money again. Those scam ICO's are affecting even bunty hunters.

The best investment of this year is the coin QuarkChain. The price has grown 6 times in one day. But not many were lucky enough to participate in the ICO. Many applications have been rejected.

I think the one that is developing this year is Ripple, the increase can even beat the volume of ethereum, I think this coin will still continue to grow until next year, maybe the second position is indeed the place

In mid-2018, I was a participant IOS signature campaign. And at the time each participant is paid with an IOS token and the signature ran for about one month. I earn profit even the market turn to red. I invest to the ICO in the first month of 2018 and I get more profit once the ICO ends and that is good for me. But for now when the market turn into red or dump more again I did not get high profit only some profit that I get in trading weekly.

The best investment in 2018 for me is no. I think if this year there were no losses due to the red market, that would have been very good. Many people suffered losses due to the red situation throughout the year 2018. And hope to take profits early in 2019. ::)

it has to be bitcoin. although i say this because you asked about the most profitable "investment" and bitcoin has always been the most profitable one and will remain that way.

if you want the most profitable trade then it is a different question because a trade is not an investment exactly and i have done a lot of them this year to make a lot of profit. for example there were shitcoins that i traded for 100% in a week. they are mostly dead by now.

A plethora of bad investments for me this year and only one good one, 0chain, which is still way below its ICO price. This is particularly interesting if taking into consideration its partnership with NEO and some other strong projects. Recently it has had a solid consolidation, so it seems that it is ready to reach new levels.

this year was not great for me but still i have made some decent profits in 2 coins  one is farmatrust which i bought very cheap and sold recently and made 300% profit from my investment and other coin is EFX which made some profit and also i am holding neo for the future profits and iam hope huge price spike next year hope so i get to my desired price.

Iam invested 20 type top coins in this red market duration. I cant tell whats the specialist coins. But through top 40 coins i brought since last three month. Now last days for buyers.

You will not  be motivated by this but I bought ethereum at a price of almost 1000$ i think and now it is 175$ but , I am expecting that it will kick-off to more than 1000$ before the year ends or the Q1 of 2019. So if you are planning to invest , ethereum will be the right choice.

My investment in this year all failed. I'm just a bounty hunter and the only thing I invested in crypto market is my time and seem like it's useless cause all bounty campaigns I participated in are shit. Yumerium is the special example. Horizen has been the best altcoin for me in 2018. I have no regret to invest in, despite how the crypto market is. And I am sure it will perform well in 2019. No doubt about that, so I stick to ZEN.

If I only invest with low gwei ico mostly ico that I invest here up 2x a normal price but which is very unfortunate the price of ethereum is very down and the results can be less than optimal, if you want to invest low gwei must be careful because many are scams

I think my best investment for this year was to invest in the ICO of trusted cars and their flex tokens. Trusted cars ist one of the most interesting blockchain projects in germany and award-winning company that is changing car ownership in a new way.

Yes we all knew that year 2018 is not really good for crypto, particularly first, second and third quarter. But there's a fourth and last quarter to wait. And my best investment for now is my deep and strong patient to wait.

I think this 2018 profit for investment still doesn't get much profit. Because we all know the crypto market is not good. But if you have a long-term investment this year it might be better. Nothing good happened with my investment this year so I changed my plan. I go with the flow and ride the waves so I sold my shit coins at lost but was able to multiply my ethereum higher that last year. I was able to keep 5 ETH to my hard wallet so far and I can say that it was one of my biggest achievement and a good preparation to take a profit by next year. I am still confident that ETH will reach an all time high next year and during red market, the best strategy to take is to multiply your holdings and do not focus on the value. There was a time not so long ago when MGO brought more than 100%. Wings brought about 50% last week. In general, the market has been showing itself from the good side the last few months.

I wish I had a resounding success, but the only achievement is that  I haven't sold my coins and I'm still going on believing in them. I bought them at a nice price, so my losses are not as big as they could be.

There was no good investment during this year. The only coin that gave at least something was HYDRO. They even did not planned to go on exchanges, I just got some free tokens and this coin gave me more profit than all investments.

My major investment this year 2018 was basically for Bitcoin and Ethereum. I invested in these two giants when actually yielded much profit to me before the sharp dip started. All am doing now is for me to buy more of Bitcoin and Ethereum for hodl in a long term.

I remember that i invested matrix with my 5 ether during crowdsale 1 phase and after matrix hitted 5x i think and i sold all of my coins and accumulate from dip again and i sold again :D . Something tells me that 2018 for investment was very difficult and almost all investments this year will be unprofitable for people. To make a profit in such a heavy falling market you need to be a genius. but I do not rule out the possibility that someone else made such a profit.

Throughout 2018 I have to be patient for longer. Finally get a good price in January and July, then often suffer losses to date. Corrections that occur this time are very long, prices tend to fall and are very difficult to bounce. Hopefully in 2019 there will be an increase in prices, at least enough to cover losses.

It was probably into myself. I have realized my dream of staying as a freelance worker for the whole year. It was the only year that I had not worked anywhere for the whole year. I had times when I did freelance work to supplement the work income I had to go every day and there was times where I worked somewhere for couple months and did freelance for the other couple months. 2018 was the first year I didn't go to anywhere for even a single day.

I have achieved this during the WORST bear market of bitcoin ever and still managed to live with all of this and even managed to go to vacation abroad with it. It is incredible feeling to be able to be my own boss. Even though I know I am not the best I can be I am still trying my best and trying to learn more and be better in the future so I can stay like this without going to work.

I have participated in several bounty companies, one of them is Shivom. I was able to make about$5,000. Mostly, my investment are fails in this red year. I think the best investment in 2018 seems to be an investment in bitcoin because I see that the growth of the year seems like the supply of bitcoin is getting depleted and will make the price conditions at the exchange place have a very expensive price and will benefit you.

My best investment was at the beginning of the year when the prices just started dropping. I bought some coins just after ICO at Etherdelta and after three weeks when they was listed in the big centralized exchange just sold it with 300% profit.

this year, I bought Vet and DATA, I got a big profit, then I bought Agrello (DLT), because of the deteriorating market I didn't get any profit until now

I think my best investment this red 2018 is credits, I invested in the coin and it make a great X return but I didn't sell, I was waiting for it to get to $10  :) now i have lost all the profit i made from it and now it's below ICO price

Why? because There has an active Dev, I always see good and not coins from Github's activities,
if the Github is always updated even almost every hour, then the coin is really good, and the project might not die,

I think the best thing i've got during 2018 is from XRP, i've got a good profit form it in just a few moments after i purchase the coin in the exchange market.

Yes this year was really bad for investing but there are some people who earn very good profit so my friend who invest money in Doge coin when its price was 40 sat and sell it on 84 sat really he was also very lucky same as you and i think he gain .2 btc profit from doge.

almost overall in every month this year the red trend dominates, so there is nothing profitable from investment in 2018. I think we all feel it especially after bitcoin falls to 3k. but I agree if at this time to buy a lot of altcoins including for bitcoin.

This year, I practically made a profit only from trading, plus I sold some of the weak altcoins in my opinion and invested in more promising ones, sometimes in bitcoin, making a profit in the number of coins.

my best was in the very first days of this year.
even whole year, market went down, but you can see there were alot of recovery wave when there was a big dump.
it's not hard to get 10-20% instantly right after the dump.

This red market year is not good to me. I have to say I don't have any best investment this year because all of my coins are droppig down. maybe I can say that I have best investment in 2019 and looking forward to it. my folio is dropping everyday so bottom line is I lost my investment this year.

Daily trading is still good option for me although small profit i get, but that is better than loss my fund because holding to long..

The best thing happened at the beginning of the year. It was Tron and Verge. It was a rare occurrence, and I have not lost. I don't remember any good moves after that.

with our experience investing in altcoin will definitely vary for the best coins this year. I see so many coins that continue to grow but cannot continue above. ETH, RIPPLE, EOS, STELAR is quite good because the coins are already included in the top 10 marketcurrency.

the best investment in 2018? maybe there isn't, all the altcoins I bought in 2018 didn't make a profit. bitcoin, ethereum, EOS, Nano, Ripple and many of the altcoins I bought did not produce anything. even I have been hodl for more than 6 months.

In general, 2018 is a bad time for making such calculations. However, XRP showed good result. I have noticed that Ripple is not very subjected to the behavior of bitcoin. It can grow while other cryptocurrencies fall, but unfortunately, it can act controversy during the bullish market. Anyway, in November I got pretty good returns when XRP pumped and sold it for bitcoin on CEX (https://cex.io/xrp-btc). Maybe it's not the wisest choice, but bitcoin is number one for me, and I believe in its potential in the future. Apart from successful stories, it is a good time for investment due to the extremely low price which we may never see again.

Unfortunately, the year 2018 did not help me to get rich. I sold a little, then bought a little, without risking large sums. At the end of the year I made a mistake, bought at the peak and got a loss.

nothing good this year. none of what I bought made a profit. eth, btc, bnb, and many more. all of the altcoins only make my money disappear. and maybe it's not just me who feels it all. :'( :'(

I have had my portfolio plunged from $25000 to $7000! I remembered investing in a low key ICO project midex exchange,  and luckily,  midex turn out to yielding fantastic profit for me. U made almost ten times of what u invested!

You've lost a lot and same as mine. I won't give on how much I lost but it's higher than yours.

What I did for this year was to hold my past profit of bitcoin and the newest profits are the ones that I'm selling for fiat. Not much success for this year but still grateful that we are able to survive though its not really a good year for most.

My best investment in 2018 is not investing in the market because since the beginning of the year the market has only fallen and there is an opportunity to earn only traders so the best investment is an investment in yourself  8)

Very hard to find it in this year! Selling most of cryptos and staying in cash would have been best but very few people did that. Anyway, next year should be good for cryptos.

I do not want to allocate any coins, for the reason that all of them are still at the lower price level, but I have high hopes for their growth in the future. I am convinced of this and will definitely share with you the results of my investments.

My all investments are red :/ however, I was lucky to get Ontology airdrop, I sold it for $1300, It became as much as $9000 in April-May but still, earning 1300 dollars from nothing is pretty good.

But all ICO investments are minus 5x lol. Even if I profited in the beginning.

now I still believe in ETH that the price will be better next year, so the best investment now is to buy some and hold it until prices become truly stable, maybe it can double and be a big profit, eth turnover is still very good, but there's nothing wrong with buying some other altcoins

This year become bad time for my investment, all coins become red and I can't recovery again because all asset already changed become bitcoin and eth. My best investment only with LTC, even only have little movement but for me is enough. Complaint will need help me but now I try to buy XMR for long term period, hope become the best one.

This is a very difficult year, I experience more loss than profit this year. Prices are hard to bounce off. Likewise, bounty rewards cannot be expected too much, the price is quite low, many tokens are posted and postponed in the market listing. Hopefully next year there will be a good change, at least capital can return to full.

After what was a difficult year, I finally found a grumps of light from investing in XYO. it's one of the few coins that have profitable even in the face of the onslaught.

My best investment that gives me the highest profit is credits, I invested just $200 and after some months, it went so high, my $200 investment become $1900, i have sell at that point, so i still consider it my best investment for this 2018. 

Ontology. This is my best investment this year. The project showed itself very well, even with the fall of the market, now it retains its position, which is one of the main factors of a good project.

Investments this year were all so unprofitable that I do not even want to remember. The only HYDRO pleased me, but it didn't block my losses.

this  year I have no investment which gives me profit . so it is red year for me. from January 17 price continually down, so it is difficult to manage your profit. unfortunately I didn't  this.

throughout 2018 I have not made a big investment, or have not made a big sale. only trade in small amounts, and get a little profit by presenting an average increase of + 0.4%.

This year I participated in a lot of ICO and they, oddly enough, were quite profitable. The best investment was in ONT, although there was more investment of time than money, but still it was profitable)

I buy nothing. Because im a investor i like to invest more and more, as much i have money in my wallet i invest it.

This year is full of bad deals, but the good ones I can be proud of, I can't remember. I did not lose money on the fall of Cardano as I opened a short position on this coin and was able to amortize all the losses that were in the future.

selling in bearish could be best decision for us to avoid bigger loss when we hold this coins.and some people didnt consider it as strategy.they just holding although price continue down sharply and extremely.and i think only few investors could earn profit in current situation.

for sure the 2018 is the best time to invest in coins because they are too expensive and I'm also certain that all those investing in coins now will be bigger in 2019 because the possibility is high its price.

This years is really a struggle for all crypto enthusiast. But still the earning is there even a low market prices, its so different from last interm of earning. Almost half of the prices of coins decrease in 70% compare to last year. Even this is the market situation just enjoy your journey here in crypto and dont lost hope because theres a big chance it will bounce back next year.

2018 as bad as it might be seen by many, was actually kinda interesting and a year full of investment possibilities through some DAPPs. My favorite one was Fomo3D by Team JUST. They are just amazing with producing DAPPs that really pay out when you are willing to risk and fast enough.

Other than that, my only investment in 2018 was CONI. This story started so beautifully and ended in flames. The dividends from CONI were just awesome in the beginning until their own devs kinda messed up and after that CONI has been just awful.

My best investment was HYDRO and XYO, because despite the red market, these coins have shown that if a coin has a potential, it does not need any great market conditions to increase its price. But for some reasons 99 percent of devs are thinking so.

My best investment of this year is losing value of my holdings like 80% off already so I'm not happy about it in any way,I'm just hopeful as I'm able to get my hands on few ones I never thought I would own due to overprice of the coins ,I will wait patiently and continue hoping for the best

This year I bought OST coins, and then participated in their project to create their own coins, quite a bargain was) the Exact figures do not remember, but the fact that I was able to fly on vacation - should talk about something.

If we consider all my transactions in 2018, the most successful was with STOX in mid-July. It at that moment just showed positive movement on which I could make 300%. It was a pretty good week then.

I am full of failure in the crypto market as I have suffered a huge loss with all my holdings declining dramatically in prices. I have held some coins like ripple, EOS, cardano, verge, bytecoin, siacoin, cindicator, stellar, tron to name a few for the past three years. But I have not lost my hope. I am still trying to buy some ripple too this year, as the year of 2019 is believed to be a good year for cryptocurrency.

My most successful investment in 2018 came from BTM, which earned me double profits, but the long-term bear market also made me lose these profits.

AUN has been my glorious one cos they have agreements with couple of contries for offering their solutions. Forgot the countries tho lol

Even this year is the bad year for crypto holders but we still can get profit from dailly trading, my best investment in this year is SXDT. I get a lot of money with that token and this token is very promising.

My best investment in 2018 was in the projects of Docademic and HYDRO, i invested 1 000$ in each project and earned 8 000$.

I think i can't say what is the best investment on 2018, cause during the year, most of what i invest is facing a downward.
So i won't say which is the best, But i hope it cane be fixed next year.

I don't have good investment on 2018 and for me in this year attempt to not lost deep is good achievement and i was not thinking about the profit currently but my target achievement is how to recover my previous lost and this is necessary to makes me confident stay longer for crypto trading

My best investment in 2018 is buying BCH at 90$ and selling at 200$ and it's not been long ago. Lesson learnt from this investment is that there is time for every good coin, a good news will definitely cause a positive price action. 2018 generally wasn't cool for crypto, so many FUD and regulation rumours causing a red market.

For me in reality there is no best investment that I earn a big money in this year 2018. But I have some investment that I can earn some profit and I believe this coming 2019 I believe there is a lot of good or best investment because there is a lot of project will become successful.

In 2018, I began to invest only in the autumn, so far I can not boast of significant success. Besides one - for the sake of a joke, I bought one old shitcoin and it suddenly made 4x.

In 2018 i invested with different altcoins but i didn't get profit because in the red market crypto collapse which i bought. Waves and NPSX is the profitable investment in this year. Actually in this volatile market you can't expected profit from every single investment. Market is good improving hopefully in 2019 will be green market.        
     

I have no profit in this red year 2018. As I remember I got one coin in the first month of 2018, which was good. I got some payments but they are valueless. So 2018 year is the worst year for me.

i think most of the people are in loss in 2018 as btc itself down from 19000 usd to 3500 usd so there should not be succes story in 2018. Instead you should go befor 2017 or earlier as that was the best time for the investors as well as for the success stories.

I believe that regardless of the month in which you have invested, you will be losing now, because the market has been the lowest in this year, of course, you can also think that you are here for the technology, which would be very beneficial in the long term.

For me the best investment was the one that I did in bitcoin, it is the coin that has made me the most money so far and although some of the altcoins did a good job when it came to making me money there was no one that could compare to the profit margin that bitcoin brought and I have a feeling that the coin is going to be the coin that keeps making me the most profit

This year I was pleased with two coins, this is XYO and LCS. Behind them are really worthwhile projects and strong teams. Despite the terrible year of 2018, thanks to them I am pleased.

This year was pretty hard to get any profit on such a market. The best possible profit was available if you were a trader, and have used margin trading. This is a very risky method, but you can get awesome profit.

For me, sad to say, all the investment on ICO this year is all red, though I have manage to save my other fund by just reaching the ico price. But for the other projects that I have invested, it has no chance for recovery due to market condition.

My best advantage is the token coffin when the token enters the big market so that the price at that time rises very high, maybe all of that is only because of luck because at that time the Token Pundi price rose very high.

I was interested in buying the token at that time because each month their prizes and projects were so good that they produced quality products and the volume of trade at that time was very small so the tokens had a very high chance of increasing.

Oh that was bad .  ico's are indeed pretty risky but you are not fearful to try to them and unfortunately the worst did happen . anyway i agree on you when you say that nothing is best this year because all cryptos were down .

Best investment could be on other things but not on cryptos . lets just hope that 2019 will act differently .


Ico is not a good way to invest , not only on this year but for every year due to the fact that they are risky and many factors can affect thier success .
