Did anybody watch the event?  I kinda regret I didn't...  Lol.  Korean Zombie had the match on points but Yair Rodriguez threw a crazy, no look elbow that sent TKZ down face first on the mat with one second left!  Hilarious.

Wtf!

I didn't watched it live but this KO send waves in the social medial and that is when I watched the clip of Chan Sung Jung (Korean Zombie) being knocked out with a lucky elbow. I did watch the full fight because I got curious that they are saying that Yair Rodriguez got luck with that surprise elbow and I will agree with them as the Korean Zombie's striking is really impressive during the whole fight, I guessed that he got to careless or tired during the last round that is why that elbow landed perfectly in the chin.

Their was no carelessness in the final round. The Korean was coming forward in the final few seconds and Rodriguez managed to throw his elbow upwards which took him out. A truly fantastic fight with both athletes giving it their all.

I didn't get to watch the fight, But after seeing the reaction video of Joe Rogan regarding the fight of The Korean Zombie VS Yair Rodriguez he is shocked and amazed by Rodriguez execution of his unpredictable elbow move at the final seconds of the last round of the fight, Well after watching the highlights that both men never give up and the opening round was merely exchanges of blows regarding Rodriguez had most accuracy on the punches, And I have seen the determination of Yair who really wants to make a submission over the zombie, This is what I think and Rodriguez is the mostly the one that shines in the ring that earned him the Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night awards after the fight.

It was a great fight between The Korean Zombie and Yair Rodriguez. At first look you will conclude that its an accidental head-butt however upon checking slow motion and some pics online about the match it was an elbow that knocked The Korean Zombie down. One of the best fight i have ever watched with an awesome ending.

I beg to disagree with you, during the final seconds of the 5th round you will see that both of the players somehow momentarily stopped fighting and both of them raised their hands and shook their hands together. Korean Zombie might have thought after, that it would be a playful fight during the last seconds of the round which he gotten wrong Yair Rodriguez luckily striked an elbow to finish the fight with a buzzer beater KO.

I don't think it was that atall. Both fighters raised their hands in a display of admiration for each other what with the crazy 5 rounds that they had fought. Anyway, great fight and a shame their had to be a loser.  :)

Sometimes these movements is been thrown out with a mixed of luck.I wasnt able to watch the fight live but seeing on the replay that was really a nasty no look elbow from below.
Hitting with that 90 degree elbow swing will surely give a KO. What a nice fight on both fighters its clear who had the lead but unexpected moves can happen anytime.

What a bloody fight out there. At first I thought it was headbutt that knocked out TKZ but as the slowmotion played it was clear as ice that it was an elbow. Well played by TKZ but it was an epic comeback for Rodriguez to snatch the win via KO.

Yup.  No way TKZ was being 'careless' imho.  I mean who would've expected Yair Rodriguez to throw a crazy no look elbow like that?  Lmao.  Nobody did, not even TKZ.  :D

I wasn't able to watched the fight lived, but indeed it was as entertaining fight as you can get. Those two really gives the fans the fight they wanted to see. During the last 10 seconds both guys raises their hands to acknowledge each other for pushing it hard but unfortunately, it was one Hail Mary shot (elbow) that got TKZ KO'd. Too bad for him though. We need a rematch.  :)

I am still not too sure if the hit was an intentional one or unintentional one. I mean they have been going at each other for the whole fight and it was almost over, I can't really believe they were both in good shape, they were both doing not so well at the end there because of the pounding they took, even a winning side is usually bloody in a UFC fight which begs the question was Rodriguez really in clear state of mind to elbow his opponent in a slight second move? Was he aware of his surroundings enough to actually pull something like that off at the end of the fight ? I am not really sure, if he did it than he probably did it out of instinct of all his training not because he had enough brain left to actually think it that quickly. Still a good move but doubt it was intentional.

@fasdorcas. Watch the replay of the fight. I reckon there were occasions that Yair was hitting air with his elbows. But he was already doing them using different angles. The last one might be Yair knowing where the poor korean's head might be and getting the correct timing hehehe.

Lots of talk whether the elbow KO was intentional or just lucky. Rodriguez stated that he learned the elbow technique backstage after seeing Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone practicing it.

Yair was like a matador luring Korean Zombie into making those bull charges, late in the fight. In the way that matadors with red capes lure bulls into charges so they can evade and hit the bull with their own attack. I think if Korean Zombie could have gotten up after the bell and recovered, it would have gone to the scorecards the way that Ovince St Preux vs Dominick Reyes did.

There's a bellator MMA card later today headlined by Emmanuel Sanchez vs Patricio Freire. Co main is Phil Davis vs Vadim Nemkov.

Anthony Pettis vs Justin Gaethje and Cowboy Cerrone vs Conor McGregor seem to be fights the UFC is targeting.

And of course Neil Magny vs Santiago Ponzinibbio is this weekend.

@Hydrogen. I reckon Conor will never accept any proposals from the UFC except if it was a rematch versus Khabib. It will depend on how their suspensions will be long, however.

Dana's UFC lightweight storyboard has become a mess hehehe.
