Title: ETH Clay Miner - the latest miner based on Claymore's Miner
Post by: Waelmashaly on November 10, 2018, 10:03:31 PM
Friends, I present to you my new miner based on Claymore's Miner - "ETH Clay Miner"!

TESTED NVIDIA DRIVERS (other versions are not tested, they may be worse or better):
9xx cards in Windows 7 x64: use only the latest / latest drivers from the Nvidia website (for example, 368.81). Please note that the last 372.54 is slower than 368.81.
9xx in Windows 10 x64: you need to use old drivers (for example, 352.xx) and miner created for cuda6.5.
10xx in Windows 7 x64: use only the latest 372.54 drivers from the Nvidia website.
10xx in Windows 10 x64: use only the latest 372.54 drivers on the Nvidia website, note that you must have an update from Win10 Anniversary.

FEATURES:

- Support for the “double extraction” mode: both Ethereum and Decred / Siacoin / Lbry / Pascal are mined at the same time, without affecting the Ethereum production rate. Only Ethereum mining mode is supported.
- The effective extraction rate of Ethereum is 3-5% higher due to a completely different miner code - much less invalid and outdated ball, higher load on the graphics processor, optimized OpenCL code, optimized assembler cores.
- Supports cards AMD and nVidia, even together.
- No DAG files.
- Supports all versions of Stratum for Ethereum: can be used directly without any proxy servers with all pools supporting eth-proxy, qtminer or miner-proxy.
- Supports the extraction of salts Ethereum and Siacoin.
- Supports both HTTP and Stratum for Decred.
- Supports both HTTP and Stratum for Siacoin. Note: Not all versions of Stratum are currently supported for Siacoin.
- Supports Stratum for Lbry and Pascal.
- Supports the transition to another resource.
- Displays detailed mining information and hash statistics for each map.
- Support remote monitoring and control.
- Supports GPU selection, built-in GPU overclocking and temperature control.
- Supports Ethereum plugs (Expanse, etc.).
- Windows and Linux.

This version is POOL / SOLO for Ethereum, POOL for Decred, POOL / SOLO for Siacoin, POOL for Lbry, POOL for Pascal.

For better performance and compatibility for AMD cards, Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 is required. You can get very bad results for different versions of drivers, or the miner can fail at startup.
For AMD 4xx / 5xx (Polaris) cards, you can use any latest drivers.
For AMD cards, set the following environment variables, especially if you have 2 GB cards:

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

For systems with multiple GPUs, set the size of virtual memory in Windows to at least 16 GB:
"Computer Properties / Advanced System Settings / Performance / Advanced / Virtual Memory".

However, this miner is free, but the current developer’s fee is 1% for mining mode using only Ethereum (-mode 1) and 2% for dual mining mode (-mode 0), every hour the miner works for developer 36 or 72 seconds respectively.
Decred / Siacoin / Lbry / Pascal is mined without a developer fee.
If you do not agree with the reward of the developer - do not use this miner or use the option "-nofee".

Attempts to deceive and remove the activation fee will cause a slightly slower production rate (the same as “-nofee 1”), although the miner will show the same hash rate.
The miner cannot simply stop if a cheat is found, because the creators of the cheats know that the cheat does not work, and they will find new tricks. If the miner does not show any errors or slowdowns, they are happy.

Hi Waelmashaly,

Can you explain why someone should take a chance on this...I'm really asking because I just don't get it.

Hi dhmctrader

No, I can not. Everything is relative, and whether or not to try is your business. One like one thing, another another. If you are satisfied with your installation, then probably not.

How is it based off of Claymore's miner if it's completely different miner code?   Your statements are contradictory.

and what siacoin?  are you saying you have the only siacoin gpu miner?  that doesn't seem correct either.

Much of the wording is exactly the same as Claymore's too. What a proposal!

Claymore Miner has protected code. It is strange that you offer a miner based on his code, and don't indicate what differences you have in the new program. Probably the main difference is the implementation of hidden modules in this version?

OP what's your wallet address. That way the newbs can bypass the steps involved with getting their coins stolen from a keylogger or trojan and go straight to paying you  ;D
