Title: Cast XMR vs. SRBMiner (CryptoNightv8 mining)
Post by: PoWoWoW on November 11, 2018, 07:25:00 AM
Questions about the mining software of Monero's hash algorithm "CryptoNightv 8".

  • Cast XMR: Hash rate is low but operation is stable
  • SRBMiner: Hash rate is high but behavior is unstable

I mined with Cast XMR which is stable using RX 470 and Vega 56, but which minor do you use?

In my experience, currently the best miner for mining Monero is XMR-Stak Monero Miner. It works for me with the greatest speed and without errors, unlike others. For R9 280, I use the Adrenalin 18.5.1 driver, because with other versions there are a lot of errors.

Mining "CryptoNightv 8"
You can try TeamRed
It's more stable than SRB. :)

SRB tends to auto set the intensity too high for some cards, try to lower it for stability.
