The fact that you have been offered stupid numbers before in the past and no matter what it is you just scoff at them because you have a lot of sentimental value attached to it for whatever reason.

Just so people are aware, Risto Pietila owned this coin first because cryptonic sent it to him personally with the 1KingCK engraving on it in reference to the crypto kingdom game that he single handedly scammed people out of thousands and thousands of Monero back in 2015 (maybe 2016?) I think including a lot of the original devs who were first working on Monero.

It’s an interesting piece of Monero history I totally agree, but to be asking like 500 or so xmr or whatever it was last year is totally ridiculous for some scum bag’s designed coin.

Let the OP hold on tight..... when Mooooonero moons they will only get a fraction of what they could get today.  ;)

Scamming allegations are all false. Person who lost most of his Monero because of the events that had happened was Risto himself.

Obviously i am very keen on this coin. Obviously i am not looking for a 1000 xmr anymore  ;D. I had a very good run in the game, had a lot of in game real estate and valuables. Made a good profit when more and more people joined the platform.

Nobody can deny it has history and it is a very good looking memorabilia. I will keep updating every year just in case someone who has same values as me is looking to buy it.

He has designed a B1 coin supposedly backed in Bitcoin (not really), resulting in people depositing bitcoins inside the game and trading numerous game items including XMR with the B1 token

BTC withdrawals were never processed and the XMR and other game items were traded in for the B1 which is basically worthless

It all happened after his wife left him and took the kids - allegedly
He claimed he had a fire and all his paper wallets were burned down
Later on he also claimed 4 robbers visited his premises and robbed him

He also issued E1 which was 'backed' with Euros, I don't think anyone withdrawn any euros from the game

I have a 9.224BTC pending withdrawal on the website

The problem with that is that people deposited new money in order to trade and they traded ingame things for B1 and E1, and they basically sold everything they had for something that is now worthless since it's not backed by bitcoin nor by euros

I believe my initial deposit in the game was around 2000 XMR

When you come back with a realistic valuation you might get an honest and viable offer.  But while you sit in la la land in terms of what you think these are worth you are going to keep getting the same responses.

Yet over the years none of this has come to fruition..so ya kinda have to ask yourself do I know what I'm talking about, as someone not submersed in this collectibles hobby, or should I maybe listen to the people who collect these and know the hobby far better than I?  But I suppose that's just silly logical thinking..and whats the point of doing any of that.  You may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but you are entertaining, give ya that.

It's not how these things work anyway.  Usually the artist of the piece (if collectable/valuable) goes up when the artist dies.  It would be like me painting a picture of someone and then when they die my art goes up because they passed.  Sorry but nope.

You are correct. It goes up. One of the reasons is that artist cannot produce any more, thus becomes limited in quantity. If you really think about it, art piece dies too due to many reasons such as materials will decay, item can be lost in the deep ocean or content destruction due to heavy natural or man caused disaster, volcano, inability to mature in value in the time constraint and the item is not valuable to the new generation, someone stole the machine or equipment to create the same products and so on.

I answered this in PM for owl but It just hit me that maybe others were wondering,

When the coin was $50 I went ahead and bought some pre a major announcement "according to developers" team leaders etc.
The day came and they said it was just a Joke and that's what you get for believing everything you hear or something close to that. It tanked to $29 or so an I figured its just a total scam and they just wanted to scalp investors. So I dumped before it was a total loss... In the stock world you are held accountable by the SEC but in the crypto world is unregulated. Left a bad taste of dishonesty in my mouth. Any way as fate would have it BTC exploded to $20k shortly after taking all other coins with it and all was forgotten by most investors.

I have a good story on some .999 MONA coins I purchased from Tokyo back then I will share in collectables soon.

That was Fluffy's "Joke" on everyone , and yeah, it cost people a lot of $. But at the time, it was about proving a point more than rekking people on purpose. :P

Where is the engraving on this coin. It looks just like all the others to me.

Two things:

1. At this stage in the history of the thread and all the messing that has gone on - the
engraving is not a stand out feature anymore, the coin has been hexed. The coin with the
engraving has only a voyeuristic or curiosity value.

2. Because of the history behind this - Vigens even if they wanted to isnt going to sell this
coin without escrow and without compromising on everything they have said previously
in the thread thus far.

So yea it would be nice to see the engraving ^{on the edge of the coin, thats the only surface left}

If you are local to the east coast of the US in short enough distance I'd consider adding in some of my famous ribs if you can sweeten your side of the deal up.
