These are just due to greedy people and scammers that want to cash in on the rise of ico trend that is why thorough analysis of each ico is very important before investing into an ico, if you see anything bad simply do not invest and move on.

Projects like this are meant to scam the gullible and greedy who the scam will be starring at them in the face, but they'll never see it for what it is. I know someone who's heavily vested in TBC and all efforts to convince him it's a scam has proved abortive. In this crypto space, people will continue to get scammed and it's not about to stop

a year ago when I was just starting to work on cryptocurrency, I participated in almost all projects without verification, but today it’s really 90 percent of this mashenniki therefore you need to carefully select projects

You might fall from all these sweet words if you are new in this business, these scammers will say everything and anything for you to invest in their coin or plan, but we all know in the past similar sites like this have scam thousands of people so better stay away from this one or you will regret.

People just want to join project without looking well or research well before they invest.  I think I've se3n it times without  number when people get scammed and I've seen it times without number when people are told to do there own findings before they join any  project buy no one listens ..

The coin is not new and if you read threads very well, It has been well discussed on some occasions. Its a coin from one of the non crypto participating countries that was meant to be dumped in Africa and other ignorant individuals around the world. Those that have dumped it never go back to it, the present holders are the victim looking for where to dump, so dont be the next victim.

It's just a kind of easy money :). Scammer always wanna earn easy money by creating fake ICO projects cause investing in ICO project is a hot trend and there are so many new investors are trying to earn money by investing in ICO projects without having any knowledge or experience and they'll be victims for such ICO projects :).

I believe that most of the people who happened to experienced scam ICO's learned there lesson and with that particular ICO on the shared link,  I personally think that it is a scam ICO due to it's very hype information.  People that are new to ICO should be aware to this kind of scam and research further  before joining.

It's because ICO's are an easy way of collecting over $10 Million from unsuspecting victims by just showing them just a mere typed document of 50 pages(white Paper) and a bunch of passport photos of random people but we can reverse this. we should aggressively fight scam and keep exposing all of them. lately people are getting enlightened.

Because they have been getting a lot of inspiration from the early adopters of ico that has been being a rich person caused they have been buying it when the price was so cheap. I know someone from asia that bought almost 700k ether when it's around $3 for each and this time he was being a rich person dude.

TBC = the billion coin was the known scam and just by adding "new" to it makes it significant to the well known scam few months ago.

all because of money, they only make scam projects and hope there are many investors who want to put their money there.
After that it will be taken away, and the coins purchased will become garbage. And will keep repeating with the same person. So be careful before investing.

This is done with the aim to fool the gullible people. And I think it will never end. But I hope that soon someone will figure out how to deal with fraudsters.

Creating a worthwhile ICO is tricky, creating a half arsed one is not so tricky.

Most projects are like this right now because they know that whatever  it is that they are trying to put out, there is already a coin that is offering it so it is like they are just copying an already existing project. Most of them are just trying to make money though so they are not really putting in much effort into doing what will profit the investors in the long run

yes, I think there really is a time for us to take a short break. there are so many ico who come and go without leaving a reward at all, this is too bad when the market situation has not improved.

I think it is the marketing way of sale token or coin. People always wants to be a millionare. And wants it now :) Easy and quick ways attracts people but also most of this "promising" ideas are SCAM! I don't know this one it is or not. But most of it is!

That is the uniqueness of crypto if we are not careful because indeed Crypto runs without knowing the times and many fraudsters everywhere. That's obviously a scam because the billion coin who become rich only is the founder and also the first people who invested it's  look like  the pyramiding. As far as I am concerned, I don't follow the crowd nor hype to invest on any project. Too much of hype can deceive someone and end up investing on projects that doesn't worth it. Personal research is the best in order to make cryptocurrency investment decisions.

Well, i really see nothing wrong in building hype around a coin. Even at that, the coin must have a useful product.If a coin can solve a problem and nothing is done to create awareness about it, which is online presence, investors and other adopters may not know that such project exist. The marketing aspect of the project will help to give it more recognition through the hype. I am not just in support of a project without any god tech and yet hype is built around it. I see such to be scam.

Obviously, fraudulent projects appear in order to make money. No other reason. This is done by people who are not able to come up with something good and generally are not capable of anything.

Scammers are doing everything to attract potential victims. Normally this is naive people who think they can get very big returns at very little effort. The development and hype of cryptocurrencies have created a world where predator and victims coexist. This is the reason why everyone should be on the lookout for projects that promises the moon to its investors. If its too good to be true, then expect it to be a scam.

Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. Scammers will always exist.Most such projects can get the beginners. I hope that soon will find a way to fight with this.

The answer are so simple. they need big fund with instant way. how to make it happen ? I think you know the answer. make some product related with blockchain and cryptocurrency (because this technology are popular now) and give shitty promise with a big return if you all in on there. so please , smart people can consider and analyze before you join in any investment.

We can educate people and show them such situations. The more people will be aware of this type of fraud, the less will be earned by scammers and with time will be less and less frauds.

Most projects just try to make money. The idea that they offer is already in another project. But even in this version, if everything is properly organized, the project will be able to bring profit to its investors. But for this you need to make a lot of effort.

Everybody here is wanting to make money. All the projects are being created for making money but it should be from achieving the real goal of the project and should not be by just attracting investors during ICO phase. I mean an ICO may go for making money by keep attracting investors by proving their solutions but scammy people are cheating investors and dumping their tokens once they reach exchanges.

They want to make money, but they can not afford to develop the project into reality. That's why after most projects died after finishing ICO for a while, I read a lot of whitepaper and many different projects. They have great ideas but they never want to do it, they just want money

That is the main problem of crypto currencies market at the moment. Projects are investing millions of dollars in marketing, but much less in their own project development and such a scheme does not lead to great results.

I was thinking those failed ICOs were due to down trend of ETH or entire crypto space but you are giving another possibilities like they were all pure planned scams like they came here to run ICO only to get people's money. Scam tokens or projects like this is one of the reasons why many people lost money in 2018 and subsequently left cryptocurency market. I do wish there could be a way SEC or any body will screen all cryptocurrency projects before ICO

I think this is all because ICO as a way to promote projects is currently morally obsolete. Since it should be replaced soon by some new ways of promotion, in this way we can significantly reduce the number of unscrupulous projects that are only interested in receiving money.

hyped coin does not mean a project will be a successful one. You are right that most of hyped coin turned into a scammed coin, I cant recall but there are lots of hyped coin that is too quiet this time and the market of it is too low.

This is the thing that is keeping investors away from the crypto scene. The possibility to "create and publish" any project without any standard or rule. I usually tend to support projects that move towards blockchain after they have a working product in the market, for example, projects like Sylo which is a communication platform or Bravo which is a transaction platform, they both had products online for years now while trying to implement blockchain solutions to make their applications better.

The thing is just that, I noticed that those projects with too much hype always end up announcing that they don't make enough or any during their ico and why, is because they already hype their self than what they wrote in their white paper. You even found some trying to attract investors by lying about the money raised.

I really can explain why. All I know is that the more projects we have out there the higher the possibility to falling in the tràp of a scam project. What TBC is the article even talking about? There was this coin called TBC  back then, that was not listed on any exchange. The coin is not even a cryptocurrency... it is even worse than some  top centralized "cryptocurrencies" we have today. Or they probably are trying to raise funds through ICO?

Substandard/fake projects will always exist whether we like it or not. The consumers need to be protected in ways that do not violate the crypto ideals.

For me, i better avoid this kind of project. Something that saying something too much for can sometimes became a trap. Choosing the more realistic scheme on a project would be a lot safer to make an investment on.

New ICOs are basically free cash. Since it is not heavily regulated, those scams could just get away with it without getting caught. Just looked what happened last year. Most of ICOs are either dead by now or scams. It's sad that there's no way to stop them because this is a free forum.

You don't know why? Money is their motivation but the don't have enough product to make that money so they are creating hype and make buzz about them to create investors and steal their money for useless tokens created for some bucks.So don't invest on ICOs for now until you can know that it is capable of making some real use in this world.

In this case, in the current market it is impossible to invest in any project, because now practically there is no projects which have a real product and real application in the modern world. therefore, it is very difficult to choose a project. just need to choose a good idea and team and calculate your risks

Well, basically, Market analysis is not difficult to understand if you are willing to put your time and effort to it, risk a little bit for trading practice in order to learn to understand the market and its condition.

Don't you know that most of the ICOs from 2017-2018 were scam and it is now to identify a scam ICO. As you said that one of criteria for the ICO to be identified as a scam would be that it would not have much of valuable information in it's website and thread. Despite this there are many who still invests in such ICOs and get scammed. I have personally left investing in any ICO. Even if it is a genuine one I tend to buy the tokens only when the tokens is listed on an exchange.

I think this kind of unpleasant problems will continue and will not end soon. Every new day i see another scam website and they stealing our money.. The scammers are really good talented persons and they are very smart and hardworking. But i don't understand why they are scamming us? If they work with their honour they would earn lots of money too.. So why would they choose the bad ways? Do they feel anything when they steal from innocent people? How can they sleep at nights?

ICO are money grabbers a lot of them are a copy paste of a well known code and most of them will just drop the project if they fail to make some improvement, scammers do it for the money because they know its easy to set up, ETH smart contract make that possible with a little knowledge of coding your all set to make your own ICO.

They are tons of projects been launched everyday and the good thing is you get to select the project you are interested in and obviously has growth potential.  Not all project out there are worthy of investment as moat of them work so hard to hype the project so you can invest in them.  Watch out for such project as it is the easiest and saddened way to loose your money to some  shitty project.

Yes, this is the major problem of open source system. I hated this since we did start having many flours of Linux operating system. In my knowledge unix and then Linux is the first open source system and now a days every mobile phone manufacturer started to develop their own customized platform on android base. Android is another known open source based.

I guess there will be nothing wrong in having these many tokens or coins. But having them with duplicate purposes must be a big head ache for any investors and traders.

It’s quite difficult to really screen scam ICO since it is not being regulated, initially we do rely on their whitepaper as base to invest but it is no longer enough and if care is not taken Security Token Offerings (STO) will eventually take over ICOs same way ICOs killed 65% of existing Initial Public Offerings because STO already has lots of advantages over ICOs in term of security and safety of the investor.

At present, there is no real use and use of cryptocurrency at present, and the price can only be controlled by the concept of hype.

To be frank with you, the project you even listed above does not worth any attention. Considering the fact that there exists dubious project known as The Billion Coin so seeing this should tell you thatits probably a scam project. Look at the design also could explain it all

now many projects that contain fraud like you share, they only make fake whitepapers, fake roadmaps and fake teams. they only seek their own benefit and also don't think of ideas that will bring important information. they only use attractive appearance so that investors are captivated.

I met a lot of crowdfunding projects that didn't reach the soft top. After the crowdfunding, the team members disappeared. The Twitter and telegraph groups have not been answered and updated for a long time.

In as much as so many of them are scammers, there are still genuine project that needs to break the monopoly of others or come up with and enhance idea to am existing project. This can make projects competitive. Just be careful if you are joining any to avoid being scammered

Scammers are gonna scam anyway ,projects that looks awful as that are just low detailed scam projects and yet newbies are going to fall victims ,newbies are in rush to make money and they go anyway they see fit which isnt the right move ,I hope newbies will learn the easy way by listening to advice on here and not learn the hard way by losing money

In my opinion, there are ICOs which aim at money making. They make things look very nice by talking about the returns that could be made by investing in the ICO and many people go for it and invest in these ICO which ultimately results in loss and nothing else.

I believe that we have so many people who want to invest but only in the best project. Not all here are in for the money. Many among them are in for something big than money. People are wise today and this is the reason ICOs are poor.
