I just read that the next cryptocurrency explosion will not be triggered by bitcoin price surge but another. What do you think it will be and why? I also want to know why it won't be bitcoin since from the very beginning I am a follower and believer of bitcoin.

The whole movement of the cryptocurrency market has been pegged to how Bitcoin is moving and this has been true for the past many years as many coins could not be able to detach themselves from Bitcoin and if there will a good coin that is exploding it may not be affecting Bitcoin at all. All of these things are just ideas, speculations, projections, imaginations and even hallucinations to say the least but all of these talks are just adding more excitement to the table. There are now many expecting that we are on the verge of a bull run...this is not a question of IF but of WHEN.

Only Bitcoin will trigger the explosion of the cryptocurrency market. Altcoins are dependant of Bitcoin and are waiting on Bitcoin price.

I second this opinion. No other coin can take over bitcoin. This is as if you ask what other search engine will overtake google. There is no other search engine that can do that. Google will lead in the future the same way it has been leading in the past. The only peculiar thing with regard to bitcoin is this: bitcoin did it first and will remain first. Not often does it happen that the first solution is the best solution. But with bitcoin it did.

all through history every single altcoin pumping season (not single altcoin pumps that happen every day but a all around all altcoin pumps) have been started when bitcoin price had a huge rise.

these pumps happen because when bitcoin rises it attracts a lot of newbie investors who idiotically invest in altcoins too to make profit in something they think can grow as big as bitcoin. that is why these pumping seasons exist in first place.

Almost every cryptocurrency is pegged to Bitcoin and as such, they're all dependent on BTC for a bull run to be triggered. We've seen some price surges with XRP causing it to temporarily replace ETH in no.2 spot and how it was not enough to trigger an explosion in the market,  it therefore goes to show that not one single altcoin can trigger massive price surge in the space, except BTC

Still bitcoin, if there will be another coin that will be triggered for the next pump then it's a follower of bitcoin.

Knowing that most of the crypto's are bitcoin's follower then they have to depend with bitcoin first. Though some unusual and unpopular coin are being pumped by some groups, do you think that coin will be pumped that way? Before other alts go pump then bitcoin has to go first if there will be a coin that will trigger, I don't know how to determine it.

I don't believe that it would be any coin other than bitcoin. No alt-coin has the same global reach and recognition that bitcoin has. Even if they did great things (some alt-coins already have) they won't get the same level of attention and investment that bitcoin would. If bitcoin had a major partnership with a big company (not that it can because there's no one controlling it, but if some company decided to incoprorate bitcoin in to their day to day runnings) then it would create a big bullish movement.

You should watch the news and the bankers consider bitcoin still doesn't enough to be adopted massively. Lack of scalability and it has become the main concern of bitcoin.
Remember we need something new. Bitcoin can be considered as digital gold but it's not what we are looking for. We need crypto to be adopted by a lot of people and it needs the more revolution.

I don't have much love for ripple but i have to admit that it did trigger a small bull run last month. With that in mind it is possible that it can power a larger bull run to lift the entire market

While bitcoin may not be the first coin to rally big in the next bull market, it is still the leader of crypto market and therefore, affects the market rise and fall considerably. Other coins can have a pump from time to time for various reasons such as bitcoin cash getting a boost ahead of its coming fork.

As knowledge, all crypto currencies refer to the price of Bitcoin as a whole from the beginning until now, but if indeed Bitcoin can no longer be a reference, Ethereum will be the next, maybe maybe someday in the future Ethereum will become a reference for all crypto currencies because of Bitcoin it's no longer valuable or much cheaper

Until now there are no coins that can explode like bitcoin, I think this is a difficult site, many altcoins appear and want to change the position of bitcoin, but no one has been able to. Although the bank does not want to adopt, the bitcoin community is increasing and always freefall on the internet.

Probably some random altcoins on the top 10 of the list of marketcap and if you want to know what exactly is it. Then, nobody knows because as far as i am concern no one has ever been guessed the right price or even the right coins that will succeed or who comes first. It is just going to base on the people's demand on whatever coins they have to trade first. So, better look at those charts if you see any sudden big movements then that's it, that's the signal you've been waiting for.

As much as I dislike ripple, at the moment I think it could be ripple. They're getting the most real world adoption of any cryptocurrency. Even if it's not actually using XRP tokens. Please don't bash me, I know ripple is centralized crap.

It would be hard to determine since no crypto at this moment is showing positivity in the market except ripple which have made something unexpected this year, surpassing ethereum despite of the bad market behavior. So there might be a chance for it to be the trend leader on the next bullrun but still there's no assurance so holding is more advisable right now than to make risky actions due to false speculations.

In reality, only bitcoin can do such things whether ups and downs especially as we all know the fact that it is #1. And see when someone (doesn't know anything about crypto) was introduced to crypto they will always say btc and probably will invest into it. But with this topic, I would say ETH because of its flexibility and usage.

Explosions? I bet it will be some coins we don't know as of now, it will be something small at it's ICO but if people embrace it like how people embraced XRP. It gained so from it's initial ICO price. BTC/ETH and any other big coins might boom but if you're looking for a multiple digit multiplier number for your money, then it's not these big guys.

By the time Bitcoin has become accustomed and do not consider raising the coin by 1k or more as something outstanding. But other coins, especially eos or stellar, are now heard, here already for $ 5 it causes euphoria.

pump season? it sounds funny, but that's the reality and maybe it is causing explosions that don't come from bitcoin, like the OP say.

There is a lot of altcoins as well as bitcoin are having a great potential that can have a huge value in the market. Bitcoin is in the top  and I believe it can be and if it's not, maybe ethereum.

Where did you read that? Who's the author? I find it very unlikely that there will be another coin who will lead the next bull run. So far there has been no scenario like that. Bitcoin has always been the main cause for alts surge. Look at 2013 when Bitcoin hits ATH $1200, Litecoin was able to reach $150. Recently when Bitcoin reach ATH $19K, ETH was at $1000, and LTC made another new ATH at $366.

Also by looking at how the crypto scene growing today, no alts is even close to Bitcoin in terms of development. Well, maybe ETH also had a good development. So if I had to choose an alt, I'd pick ETH.

Market cryptocurrency has been fulfilled by various unclear information, lots of information that is not accompanied by clear data. And know I just found out about this news from you, can you share a link that you read here? Moreover, if an information related to the cryptocurrency price prediction, then only a few percent that is worth the rest is just a delusion. Be careful of all the information you get, you must check the correctness of the information and I think everyone must have extensive insight when investing in cryptocurrency to avoid trapping the trap that will always be there.

Bitcoin will lead the way for the foreseeable future. Something might come along and knock it off its perch, however, that would take some doing. Majority of people outside crypto hear of bitcoin before they know other crypto currencies exist, if at all. For some bitcoin is crypto, for others there is bitcoin and the rest.

Hearing about the development of ETH 2.0 makes me think that ETH could be the one to trigger the next explosion. ETH is already the no 2 coin, arguably no 1 in terms of usage, with added scalability it will be able to be used in a lot more real world situations, potentially enabling the breakthrough in to mainstream.

Historically an alternative asset hasn't led the market forward by any significant degree without Bitcoin playing a big role but that doesn't mean its impossible

The quickest growing asset in terms of adoption with the fastest transaction speeds would probably be the leading candidate in this case

all the altcoin pumps so far have been happening mostly when bitcoin price was stable or when bitcoin was gaining popularity to bring in "fresh blood" for the pumpers to sacrifice and take their money.
other than that you can't expect any major pumps to happen if it is not because of these two reasons.  people are gaining more experience and that means they won't fall for the pumps any more.

At the moment, bitcoin has got no rival. Cryptocurrency starts and ends with bitcoin and this is a simple reason that another bull rally will be triggered by bitcoin. So is going to be either bitcoin or bitcoin fork especially, bch.

Firstly, I think the information is baseless because no proof is provide about the next coin which will trigger price surge and if you check out all cryptocurrency exchange site they all traded other coins against BTC,ETH,USDT or TUSD on it. The last time I checked Ethereum definitely wont the coin is subject not to mention Trusd and Tether.

And as a perfect example, the market crashed again this night and look on what the alts did. They also went down so this significant fall is due to bitcoins dominance in the market. It predicts where the alts will go whatever happens to it.
Yeah, right now it has no rival and the cryptocurrency market will always have bitcoin as the king of it and there will be no next crypto explosion if its not for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a part of crypto family so if any incident is happen surely Bitcoin is occupy major role in that situation. But next cryptocurrency is Ethereum because Ethereum smart contract is one of the best platform in crypto once it will died in the market total altcoins are sleeping in the same time so ETH is the next crypto for another one.

I think that many will believe in other new coins, such as eos or stellar. See how the pump ripple pulled and overtook the ether, which by all indications was supposed to be a replacement for bitcoin.

For a coin different than bitcoin to create an explosion in the market of cryptocurrencies then that coin will need to take the place at the top out of bitcoin, something that is incredibly unlikely in my opinion and as such I do not believe that will happen, the next explosion in the price is going to happen because bitcoin is going to go up in value and that will probably happen because of the lightning network.

The entire crypto market is pegged to Bitcoin and price movements of altcoins have been known to respond to movements in the price of BTC. Two days ago, there was a sharp drop in the price of BTC and 98% of alts were affected, some are yet to recover from the shock. This implies that for any major crypto explosion to be triggered it will have to done by BTC

Hello, Stellar und Ripple are looking very strong maybe they will decouple first but then i think we will see a rally from bitcoin and Ethereum. If you come for the King you better not miss :)

I really think that this has to be Bitcoin, it has always been Bitcoin that has started the bull. But I also think that by some coincidences a crypto explosion could happen through some other coin.
Let's say that Amazon implements paying with some altcoin (Ripple/ETH/Zilliqa,...), that could really bring crowds back to cryptos and spark high interest again.

You do not  need any single coin to lead the next big rally even though bitcoin is the obvious pick for it. When the market turns bullish, most coins will go up together.

Nothing altcoins can give trigger for the cryptocurrency stability only bitcoin wake up itself, i think the reason some people finding the new one because they lose hope  and believe the capability of bitcoin as stable currency.

Isn't a single coin we referring that could triggered the rise of crypto market but it's just because we have massively increase the numbers of investors who put their money in here. Cause without them, everything won't work even though how strong and good is your project.

The possibility outside bitcoin is very small, every pair especially in big exchangers still uses bitcoin, and in recent years the dominance of the bitcoin marketcap has averaged more than 50 percent.

I don't see how Bitcoin is not going to be the coin to trigger the next Crypto bull run, I think ICO was the primary event that resulted in the drive of the market in 2017 but I think think could trigger the next bull run is the death of more than 1000 tokens in the space that are just for good to nothing  and this would then free up space for the next growth.

Exactly, it is as if people are obsessed it to try to make altcoins independent from bitcoin but that is only going to happen once the developers of those coins stop copying every single thing that bitcoin does, once that happens then altcoins will begin to move independently but since many are coins are just scams or have very low quality the chances of that happening are not very high.

It would be really impossible to determine at this moment wherein continuous downtrend is more dominant thsn price increase. But I would exoect ethereum or ripple to be the ones who may start the bullrun or recovery if it wont be Bitcoin. These cryptos are known to be next to Bitcoin when it comes on popularity and long term progress. There are no assurance so therefore, we should focus on waiting.
