But I think it would be hard or even impossible to implement it to SMF. But maybe it would be possible to implement it to new forum software, which now is under beta.

As of now, you're able to simply go into the Search page of the forum and type in your name -- I personally take a frame of 7 days, and sort by most recent posts. It works well enough for a "recent mentions" sort of thing, and there appears to be filtering for quoting of your own posts. AFAIK, quote chains lead to the very last post when you search for your name.
