Friends, general trend of the market has gone down, do you think it will be jumping up to the end of the year? Is it a reason to buy it? If the growth is, will it be similarly sharp?

Whether the price is up or down a trader is always making profit and judging by your username you might not be pro trader base on your thread, having said thatit is really critical to think sell or buy when the market is falling I hope the market will soon be with us.

Short answer, we don't know. We have seen the lowest price of bitcoin and other crypto in today bloodbath so its hard to answer your question. Well, every dip is a perfect opportunity to get in because the price is so cheap so I would yes, go for it. I advise you to go long this time, no need to short crypto and just wait for it to have good bounce. No need to make things complicated for you or for majority of us, keep it simple and take the profits next year.

This is the question that no one can ever answer. You've got to put faith to the market, if you got in here without knowledge then you might sell at panic and loss a lot of money through your invested coins. But if you have high belief to the market and you know that it has a positive wave then you've got to hold on.

Simply apply the logic, buy low and sell high.

Crypto market is unpredictable.

If the purpose is just to hold no matter what the trend is, then it doesn't matter if there's a bounce back or not that will happened this year. You will really sees lots of rumors and speculation about the "downfall" but overall, it's on your own hands on what to do. If you will remained positive, then just continue on your usual. If not, then your decision.

Do you homework now and start analyzing what things you should do. You just can't take advices from the community because we have different approach on the situation.  

I am reminded of the end of 2017 trend before prices rose to reach $ 19,000, the market trend was forced to fall far away and this was missed by investors to buy more, a moment later prices skyrocketed and the whales got big profits

No one knows but I myself is expecting a few thousand rise before the year ends but definitely not an ATH-- its just seems so impossible rn, I think even $10K is hard but who knows. Its always like this, when the price is high, ppl are complaining they should've bought when the price is low or are asking if the price will ever get lower so they can buy more, meanwhile when the price is low, ppl are acting like its the end of the world, like why buy when its not gonna go up?  ::)

As said by the other user, every high and low is an opportunity but some ppl prefer to hold long term as it is more safer and less trouble or maybe divide their capitals and do both. If I were you, maintain your emotional posture, make sure its balance. A big example is have another source of income aside from cryto trading or just make sure your savings greatly outweighs your trading capital because most ppl whose trading with their lifeline (capital outweighs savings) are more likely to have panic attacks.

Your loss if you sell at this current market, not unless if you're one of these panic traders who sold when the price was still at 6400-6300. But as what other mentioned above, in the other threads or on any other community websites that when the market got this scenario just hodl. This event is due to this shitty hard fork, whereas the community doesn't agree but still they proceed until this chaos occured.

The same was happened in November 2017 too before the way to the new ATH. But this time, it's quite impossible to hit an ATH. I assume we will see some good hype sooner as someone mentioned earlier.

I'm still trying to absorb this sudden fall like I just woke up today and seeing my portfolio losses almost half, yet selling now won't makr it better as it will just worsen the losses. Just keep it or take a break and go back next week. Sure, we will see more dump as the weekend approach.

When market is falling down, the best thing to do is hold your coin and buy more coin. Don't you do panic sell because you'll regret it. Follow that three I mention and you're good. You have avoided losses, at the same you've make more profit. Patience is the key when we are at this moment.

Keep investing wisely, no one knows what will happen tomorrow or so on. The market situation has declined since yesterday, which proves that sometimes all the possibilities we speculate do not always go as expected.

Nothing can do.. Only patients is a main target because cryptocurrency patients is a important virtue. I decide to holding my bitcoin as a long time period.

Reason to buy now? The lower value is the reason and of course the market will recover. But in my opinion, there is nothing to do with this market, things are getting worse.

Not at all, since the market is still 100 percent active around the globe. Which mean, it falls but everything is expected...since this is a market that has a lot of different scenario. The most important part is the positivity of it's survival and continues growing of each field, the main thing needed is about regulation and take action of different wrong doers.

Buying Bitcoin at this time might sound like a good idea but keep in mind that if it goes down even further your investment will be in a terrible position.

We all know Bitcoin can increase next month since it always does every single year but expecting a jump is something unexpected.

Depending on what you can afford to lose and what was the main reason to use cryptos. If it was for investing you have 3 choices:

1) You are already at loss, you keep your coins and wait to see the market recovering, It can take several weeks or months.
2) You manage to reduce the loss by trying to generate a profit with the coins. You also increase the risk to lose more..
3) You're in profits but aren't confident enough for the future, you sell and leave the market. You don't take any risk.

It's up to people to decide considering their personal situation.

I think that everyone who comes to invest is to get a profit, there is no one who has a hope that he will get a loss when investing, it is impossible to happen even more someone who uses money sincerely even if he just disappears. And you too, have a target to get profits not to get losses from your investing. Actually you already have your own answer for this issue but you are hesitant to choose if you do not know what someone will do, if I myself will choose to keep hold even though the price of bitcoin continues to decline, because it is one of the best ways to realize a hope to get profit.

I think we all know that in crypto what goes down must come up, so knowing this...crypto price is expected to go up agnd if you buying the dip now it's quite easy to recover a profit in a short time.

Plain simple! It is either you are patient since selling should not even be an option now, as the time for selling have passed a long time ago and now is the time for buying or being patient till when events will turn out for good or you simply just have some cash to buy more into the market as it goes lower.

I think a lot of people before entering the market did not get to set their priorities straight and they were expecting too much from the market in the short term, but in reality, things do not just happen, they tend to develop pretty well for sustainability before they happen and can take some time.

Down markets usually should be treated like a test for our faith on bitcoins. I bought some bitcoins around $700+ by late 2013 but I decided to hold that even prices went down up to $190 levels by 2015 beginning. I am still I am holding them but in obvious profits. Holding is the only thing, we must do right away.

This is a General problem to all investors and its only investors that can determine  the stability of the market how do I mean by investing and through that the price would begin to rise.

Totally with you on this, the most important is to suppress panic and avoid selling at the lowest. Remember than the market is highly volatile as always, and will definitely bounce back. It is stressful, or course, but it is just the way this market works.

I don't think so that there will be any bull run this year. There is no evidence that there will be bull run at the end of every year. It's just the situation of the market that take attention of the traders. Whether it is going down or up people become attentive. This will ultimately help crypto currency market to get more investors or lovers from all around the world.

That is the spirit every single person should be having. Basically, as long as you understand the long term potential of the market, and you know you certainly have a lot to gain in the long term than lose in the short term, when situations like what we are having in the market now comes, you will really not be bothering yourself at all, and in fact, you will be seeing it as a means to buy more for the long run instead.

This is something obvious to everyone that the market is growing, and possibly I see this dips as an entrance for the institutions, and it is only if you want to be regretting why you bail out as a result of panic in the long run, that you will be selling now.

We never know when the market will be recover but for me if the market is falling down, there is a great opportunity to make profit by buying cryptos when the value is low then hodl it and wait until the price goes up.

We don’t know yet but I’m thinking the price will go up by the end of this year. As always, you have two options, which is either to sell or keep buying. If you think you can't hold for long, then its better to sell your coins and hope for an opportunity to buy again. If you’re investing in Bitcoin you should always have plans to invest in it for a long term and not panic when there are situations like this. It might take till middle of next year before another increase.

This is going to be a test for holders, its not easy holding tokens where the value is declining every now and then, if they decide to sell while the price is declining then its their loss.  The fact there there are bids to the top cryptos, then there's hope for it to recover. No one can tell when though.

Let's forget for a moment the price increase as in the past year, the price movement of the cryptocurrency will be different per year and this is what is happening now. Yes a lot of people will say that there is nothing to do with this market, but that’s not the same with expert traders, cause no matter what is happening they will always find a way to make profits daily. It’s only those with no experience that would be complaining. My best advise would be to continue holding since you already lost. So keep on holding and have patience till the price increases, unless you want to sell with loss.

I am giving my opinion that the market is now down because it is better not to trade now because the coins will now be dumped, it is not safe to trade now.

Avoid trading for some days till the time you see a slight recovery happening But if you are a investors then it is the good time to start accumulating different coins as for long term you cannot get this prices in future at so low. So great opportunity to make 2019 better by investing now.

we can not be said correctly, what is going on in the market, we do not understand anything. Bitcoin market is getting worse day by day. Like yesterday 1 BTC was 5490$ and now its price has been 4700$.
So I do not want to tell anyone about holding a coin. Buy and sell the market at your own risk. 

A pretty huge test, not just for holders, but for real believers, which I believe for any real believer right now, they will most definitely be trying as much as possible to take advantage of the market trend by accumulating while some other people are busy complaining.

I know it is a whole lot different considering how some people must have bought the peaks. However, let's imagine in the real world, you are a retailer, and then all of a sudden where you buy goods from decided to do a promo at a lot cheap price. Would you not be buying and stashing up as much as you can until the promo ends, and by then you will be selling at a good profit? Possibly, if people can, then they should approach market this way.

The good thing we should do is to wait till it going to up,coz if you got in here without knowledge then you might sell your coins and you loss your money. So dont be panic we can survive this.

this year is the year of falling prices for crypto and the peak occurred in November. I'm not sure prices will rise at the end of the year, the prices will soon recover and be said to be good at the beginning of 2020 and hopefully faster

I doubt the market will return quickly, this is a setback that bitcoin can still be monopolized by a group of people. they managed to create panic and maybe now they were laughing and some were crying.

Don't panic about the current situation of the market because most of the whales are manipulating the market to grab as many coins as possible. Once after grabbing they will start pumping the Bitcoin to the next level, so it is very good to hold them as long as possible until the market starts recovering.

Actually, that is a good one for the traders, but for investors, I will just say the best thing to do is just to chill now and watch the price action. Times like this always come with a huge bounce, and for what it is worth, we might actually get to see a huge one, if the market manages to hit as low as $3k which I am actually envisaging right now.

For the general market, we might actually get to start seeing a time for a lot of shit coins to be making their last call to the market, so you want to be very careful which alt you are holding as well, but in all, the market is simply giving a chance to buy lower, so don't blow it.

Well for me is it's time for buying also holding coins, but on the other hand i rather wait because it's not yet done, if the price keeps going down , by monitoring it i think i buy more, and hold it for the right time, the market is so volatile though, can't predict what will the price next.

- Definitely yes! let us take the chance to buy those coins that has been down in the market like Ethereum, ADA, Neo, Utk,
Nem, Pundix, Loyal and Bitcoin of course then hold in a long term, due to for sure in the end it will sharply increase again.

When market is falling down, then I holding my altcoins and bitcoins instead of selling bitcoin and Ethereum. Again market rich then I sell my altcoins, bitcoin.

We cannot predict the value of the market, now that it is falling down i think we must just hold our coins. Don't  be a panic seller just hold it for time will come for the market pump you have still coins.

If you wan to buy Bitcoin, you should always know to what extent you can hold if there happens to be a fall. Take for example, the price is $7000,if you want to invest, you should have it in mind that the price will likely drop, so to what extent will you sell out and wait for another time to get in? If you’ve lost much, maybe more than a fifty percentage, then it might be best to just leave your funds and forget about selling it and wait for when price will recover.

The market may actually be going down now but does not mean it would be doing that forever, one way or the other, what you should always have in mind is that, the whales and market manipulators generally will not have anything to gain by just making the market go in one direction, and what they do is to monitor the emotions on the charts, and before you know it, they are back again at it, making people to join FOMO. They have the bucks, so one way or the other, it is all about making people to get all emotional so as to keep gaining a lot, which for now, the best thing is to be patient and at least wait for the good moments to come while taking advantage of now to accumulate.

The market is does not always move in one direction. Prices keep going up and falling on regular basis. We as a community of traders and investors must learn to adjust to the trends of the market. Let us observe the market without panicking. For me, I’m holding every cent of mine.

There's no need to think. Divide your funds into several parts and invest when there is a price movement. I'm not sure this is the lowest cost of popular cryptocurrencies. Therefore, it is better to keep the opportunity to buy cryptocurrency at the lowest price in the current trend. Definitely, the growth will be more and I'm sure of it. It can not be that the market took and died after 10 years of existence. It's too simple and stupid. A lot has already been created in this direction. It remains to wait for the turn and buckle up before the flight.

Brother, I am waiting for market development because I already invested 100 Eth and 7 BTC which is undergoing in ground due to price decreasing.so I waiting for year end.

Maybe you should sell if you see no need to hold. You can sell and monitor the price to buy whenever it starts to go up again. But mind you, the market can start going up at anytime and can rise in a minute. It might be too late for you to get back in. If you wanted to sell it would have been best to do it at the earlier time when the market started to fall. But as for now, I will say the best thing for you to do is just to keep on holding.

No one knows that the prices movement of bitcoin so you need to decide it what you gonna do when the prices are falling,I decide to hold the coins because if I sell now I will be in loss,you can sell now and buy later if the prices falls more but it is not sure that prices will fall more.

What to do? You HODL, of course. Investing 101: it's only a loss if you sell. BTCitcoin will bounce back, there are already Way too many unique uses for it worldwide and it's practically a household name now. It might not be a "Get Rich Quick Investment" right now, but the long term trend will only be positive overall I strongly feel.

The way I see it, there are only three things to do:

First, if you bought BTC at high price, do not sell, for you will lose your money, because you are in panic.

Second, If you have money you can spent in more risk investment buy a lot of BTC and Altcoins when the price rich the lowest, and a lot people think this will be below 2000.

Third, find a new hobby, and wait as much as you can to sell again at a better price.

Here no ans as well as. We just pray to GOD for better market condition. No body guess that market will fall too much like present condition but unfortunately that happened. If market start up again, i think it would not be like previous market instantly. But if there would no wrong news spread in market, it will move gradually.

If the market is falling you should continue the same thing you were doing. If you’re a trader you can still make profit even when the market is falling, a lot of people do that, they make profit when the market is falling. Maybe you should just study more and know what they do and how they do it to make profit no matter what the market is facing

Buy and hold it, I believe that In the future the market will come back

The market is very new for if we think on all others, so highly volatile.
It will recover.

When market falling down, nothing can do without holding and waiting for better market. Now i am very tired to hold my assets because sometimes i need money hence i sold at lower price.

For sure when market is fall then we have no other way to hold our asset, if we sell our coin or asset then there is no doubt that we gain loss and also in falling market people not need to be worried because they have also a very good opportunity to buy more coin in low price and hold it till when market come back.

Feels like the market is slowly declining alongside with btc. First, it dropped to 9k, then to 6.5k and danced within the range of 500 up and down, now it has dropped once again to 4.5k. I think shorters will hold it there for sometime but then either the mass adoption will take place or eveything will go down once again by 1-2k (if not completely to 0).

Just keep calm and don't panic. This will not help you, you could only make things worse. It's not easy to look at current situation at the market and every time when it seams that price is recovering a bit, the price falls back again.
So, this is a hard period but it will not last forever. Hold your coins unless you don't want to accumulate even bigger loss. Patience will pay of at the end when the price starts to rise again. Maybe we will not have to wait for that too long, beginning of the next year might bring us some better news.

There is nothing you can do now except to hold and buy more tokens now that it is cheaper. Moon is coming soon and everybody will smile

"Moon is coming" my favorite term which is I also tell to others but we are uncertain and don't have an exact date when it will come. I guess we just have to hold for a long time and looking at the sell orders in some exchanges, I see many bitcoin's are ready to be disposed. Needed to add more before the bull starts.

The market fall creates another opportunity for us to own more good coins that can generate more profit when the market enters the bull market again, newbies should celebrate on that instead of panicking and doing an early exit in this market. Keep on holding folks, this is just a trial and we will survive on this one, big profits will come to us.

Buy more good coins, its really cheap and we have a lot of time to do that. Bull run will come for sure, have patience hold more bitcoin and top altcoins you will not regret from holding on it for sure. :)
