I go on coin market cap everyday but this time when i look i see a significant drop in crypto! what happened?

A major withdrawal just happened in Crypto, I see it as manipulations, from $220b there about to $191b, thats massive.

All the cryptos were belleding in red for now but don't know what is the exact reason behind this and as above says it maybe a whales action of huge withdrawal or some negative news about the cryptos were launced to the crypto community.But I believe this won't stay much longer we will see the red days in soon.

All prices are down due to Bitcoin's price. Checking last year's price movement the same thing happened during the month of November the price suffered quite a bit but eventually recovered. Now that almost every crypto is starting to lose value others are quickly moving to stable coins as the trading volumes nearly doubled for tether.

It could continue to drop more in the next day/week once more people are aware about the price but let's hope that it won't.

I likewise don't know the exact reason but the previous bottom has held strong so far. If that continues to be the case then it's positive news, at least in the long term. If the bottom holds then the bears become weaker.

I have long been not afraid of such a sharp prices drop, the main thing is always to be ready for such a scenario and if you trade, don’t forget to set stop losses. I don’t trade actively , so I didn’t set anything, It can be a bear trap. We'll check tomorrow.

The major causes of this sharp drop on coinmarketcap is as a result of panic sellers who have no believe on Bitcoin and in general cryptocurrency. Bitcoin price has drop below it normal support zone which is unimaginable at this time were things have fall apart. Hope that the price recover soon and panic sellers never sell to worsting the market current price

I believe you are referring to the market capitalization of all cryotocurrencies. Well when it decreases or increases it is not as a result of withdrawal.
Market cap is gotten from the product of the total supply and market price, and when the market price goes down, so does the market Cap.

Let's hope that this is another manipulation, and soon the market will recover. I agree that this situation is a bit similar to the situation in November 2017, not only the fall, but also the manipulation of bitcoin cash.

Could be a lot of end of year selling people thinking to capitalize on losses for tax reasons.  Personally, I think we'll see prices around $2K pretty within the next year and then a slow climb followed by another massive explosion around 2020/2021.  Just seems like it follows the previous bitcoin halving cycles as well as significant crypto events like ICOs.  

Sort of just depends on various news aspects and what might drive further demand for cryptos.

Yes, now there is a sharp decline in the rate of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is in the price of around $ 5,600, and its capitalization has dropped to $ 98 billion. Ethereum fell in price to 179 dollars.    I think it's a just a quick downfall but it will not stay longer in the lower price. It will increase more in just an hours. We need to stay positive and calm. Make this time as an opportunity to buy more in a hurry before it will xlb high.

Do not panic, the market had been dropping and rising a lot since the year started, so I guess there's nothing new here. Well, if you can just buy the dip, the market had been holding a strong support and the prices never dropped to hard. So, once the market recovers somehow, you can gain some money from it.

It's a total crypto bloodbath today. I'm speculating that it has something to do with the Bitcoin Cash scheduled fork. Just scary though to see bitcoin breaks it 52th low's today. There's probably someone big decided to dump his bitcoins prior to the said fork to make more money or just afraid of the uncertainty surrounding that event. So let's see how it pans out or when the dust have been settled.

This may be a bad sign that the bullrun may not be coming soon. It might be called a panic sell off, to me it is still my description of market manipulation. manipulation will always have a name tag. If the market does not get back soon then it might get more difficult in the coming months.

It is very difficult to understand why the market went down. I have not heard any negative news in the world of cryptocurrency. Perhaps this is the result of large manipulations.

I really can't explain it because the price drop happen so quick, i check the price of eth it was 210$ and few hours later i check back it was already 196$, I think the drop is that some people are selling off ahead of xmas and it could continue to go downwards until it find new support level.

Big dump from big guys 8)  During the crash, I usually buy the most perspective tokens at the lowest price. Wellknown: Ripple, Ethereum. I also bought some VITE and Loopring, because these coins are going to be among the greatest in a several years.

Bitcoin cash is having some kind of dumb market sell war where Craig Wright probably just convinced a bunch of madmen to market sell 35k Bitcoin cash and completely break market liquidity.

Even if they drop more it won't be stay at this level because whales won't let the price of bitcoin to be in that range since the mining is profitable is only at $6000 range so if they are not making the price to go higher then the problem is for them so don't worry it is the right time to buy coins soon it will go above that range.

If the conversation is still about the reasons for the collapse of the BTC price, then I think the news will come later, or maybe they already have it, only I haven’t yet seen and understood why it happened, but in general I would probably say that the situation is local and soon we let's go up again.

Has the world ended yet?   Massive impact from incoming BCH fork i believe is the reason for this episode, and of course a ripple effect as can be expected.  Going by the recent green shoots of recovery, woke up this morning and checked blockfolio, bang it hit me.  IMO, this is just another opportunity to buy at discounted prices to decrease my investment average.  It seems that we're stuck in this cycle for the remainder of 2018.

The price of the bitcoin drops too much as I can see, last day, I saw it as 6000 dollars in the market but not it falls again to 5675 dollars. It's quite disturbing to see how the market is performing at this time. What we can do is to still believe that there is hope that awaits us.

I don't think it has anything to do with Bitcoin Cash . It is a manipulative dump which has triggered a lot of shorts.

It seems very similar to the early stock market. Tycoons who made fortunes at the start use their wealth to create monopolies and alliances. They control the markets and manipulate it until the government pushes back with regulations. This kind of fighting in crypto will likely result in a big crackdown on alt coins and unregulated exchanges.

I think the manipulator organizations have come back and they are making investors panic again. The market has come to an end and we should get rid of it as soon as possible. If we go away, the whale will die because of holding too many altcoins. It's also a strategy for us to deal with them.

There is some war between miners.  Because of that some guys selling their bitcoin and they are buying some hashpower etc. Because of these news and selling prices dumped . That is very sad too see that kind of thing in crypto market. Crypto should be decentralised but people can manipulate the market easily.

The recent price drop has been attributed to the bitcoin cash fork. A lot of people sell their crypto to have a share of the bitcoin cash fork. According to a crypto news I read, the news made it known that bitcoin cash fork caused the sudden plunge of crypto market.

The reason for the significant decrease in the price of BTC is an increase in people who begin to not believe in BTC or Crypto. They were rather frustrated by what happened so they sold their BTC at a cheap price because they panicked, this was called panic sell.
Hopefully people like this don't multiply. they were supposed to arrest their BTC, they even went panicked and sold it.

What I am seeing is that a lot of people waited for the opportunity for the slight increase. They sold their coin and I think the price drop is not over yet. Expect the worst this coming weekend as coins worth billions of dollar will be on sale. Maybe this is the worst weekend for all of us who were hodling crypto. It could have even be good if you sold at on 14 November 2018 when you opened this thread and buy back at the current market price.  Bitcoin has dropped significantly and I think it will take some time before it can recover.  Cryptocurrencies market have a bearish year in 2018 and it is very bad for those that started to invest in 2017 especially towards the the of 2017.I think no one is currently selling out of panic but those that are dumping are the long term holding and some of them has been holding since 2011 and 2013. we really don't need to think too much about complicated things. it's better to just follow the path because actually setback is not entirely a bad thing. Now you can get coins at low prices so that you will make a big profit if the market goes up again and that is far better than focusing on things that are difficult for you to solve.

Some months back the market cap used to be twice what we have now and then btc maintain this market cap and today we having same figure for the whole of market which makes every coin to drop by 50% in just some days , but this bear will takes control of this situation for some time now and when the bull return we will all be happy.
