Terrible events. The whole cryptocurrency falls down. So seriously that ETH lost its position which it took so long. What will happen next ? Now a lot of projects have completed their companies and most of them are scammers. >:(

This is in direct response to the market yesterday and XRP was the first to start picking up again after the crash, even though a lot of people are in huge losses already. But as we all know, XRP's occupation of the no. 2 spot is only temporary

Yes, I understand you. I'm just worried about the situation with the ICO king. Last time he shows weakness. And if he loses the XPR which he is then the king  :( I am afraid that with such a fall and the withdrawal of funds from scam projects. ETH lose all confidence.

there is no difference between XRP and ETH, they are both centralized altcoins with no real usages which have an unlimited supply and will decline in the long run!
it doesn't matter if they had huge premines so they stay on top of the ranking list, they are still considered big shitcoins in this big market and in the long run, shitcoins can not last.

I believe it happened before, when Crypto market falling last August if I am not mistaken, XRP take over Ether position after bitcoin for a few days, but then when the market recovering Ethereum come back strong, and take over the position again. I think many people still believing Ether, so do I, in this time I think investing more money to Ether and other crypto is the best act. Keep believing in crypto guys.

You are overestimating the importance of market capitalization rankings. In reality, they are worth nothing and can be easily manipulated. Ethereum and Ripple are the same thing they were yesterday.

This is not the first time that this things happened where XRP took the no.2 spot on the marketcap. It will be short lived because per experience eth will bounced back after a correction as they call it.


Expect change, as it is the only permanent thing in this world.  :)

We should expect the positive thing in the market, be optimistic and that will happen after all of these dump.

I know this is terrible for eth holders but that's it and it happened, though their allowance isn't that far.

This is a temporary occurrence. Soon ETH will return to its position number 2. And if they finally launch Casper and solve the problem with scaling, the price will increase by 2-3 times.

Ripple is the second biggest cryptocurrency because Ethereum lost more % in the last 24 hours, not because Ripple grew more.
Its time to clean market from scam blockchain projects, only the best will survive!

Please not. Ripple is a great investment, but it should be on the stock market, because this coin does not have any limited supply and cannot reach the bar of 5 USD. It is nearly impossible for this to happen, even during the bull run.

My exact same thoughts. Market cap means nothing especially when losses are the order of the day, no one is looking at that in that instance. XRP is no.2, has it any impact on the losses you experienced yesterday?? In a industry where market manipulation is prevalent, these rankings mean nothing.

Are you panicking right now? XRP being #2 in the charts doesn't change anything other than the perceptions of the newbies who think that one coin is better than the other just because it's higher in the charts...so, who cares?

What can we expect? Nobody has the answer for that but, for now, don't anything stupid like selling your coins, on the contrary, if you can then buy some more coins and increase your stash, there are some great bargains out there.

Expect nothing. ETH suffered more than XRP that's why it moved to 3rd and having a higher market cap than other coins doesn't always mean it's better.

I don't know much about Ripple but it says on coinmarketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/#charts) that there's a circulating supply of 40 billion and max supply of 90 billion. Last year it peaked at $3 if Bitcoin reaches an ATH in the next years to come $5 is achievable for XRP.

Yes ethereum surrendered its position. Ripple stepped on his heels which is not surprising to me. Ripple many times ranked second in the capitalization rating and returned to the same place. If ethereum does not make its blockchain update soon, it will remain in third place for a very long time. We are waiting for the arrival of the growth of all coins.

we wait for the next few months, do we have to leave crypto or vice versa. if it's no longer promising, why are we lingering for a long time here

if I remember correctly, we had witnessed such a war of xrp and eth last year. at the end of the film, ETH made a big explosion and came back from behind  and eth moved to second place and started the bull run. I hope it happens again.

Not like we've not seen it before, what's constant is the fact that ETH always bounces back and it's usually not too long. I think ETH got a worse beating with the drop yesterday, explains the reason it surrendered it's place on the second spot. Well with the company of XRP been doing for the last couple of months there is no doubt that it attracted investors and buyers. With the continuously development of their cross border payments the demand for XRP has grown helping Service Providers to settle multi-currency transactions to minimize the overheads.

Before BCH forking cryptocurrency already fell down for a months, then until now the market became more worst due to the price value was continuing declining but it doesn't mean its terrible, this is trading world industry where most of the time happened is buy and sell, so with that what would you expect. It maybe for now XRP surpassed ETH but it is just only for awhile or temporarily but in the end Ethereum will still prevail.

Well ETH has dropped for more and XRP has gone a good market price advantage as there are good adverstisement also being made by the ripple team. This makes the way for ripple to be great and market price for ripple has a good market price fluctuations which could be enjoyable to all traders. This makes ripple market cap volume done good in its increase.

I dont think ripple is a good coin. Etherium has more chances to be the secong - largest cryptocurrency in the world, not centralized XRP.
