Title: What is this forum for?
Post by: macartem_3 on November 16, 2018, 03:19:33 PM
Normal forum created for communication between people, but why then this shit?

If this is shit why are you here?

I have a feeling I know what you're talking about, OP, but it would be best if you could explain your question/opinion in greater detail.

And yeah, this forum is like no other.  On other forums, people usually respond to other members' posts in a sort of dialogue.  Here, there are just a lot of statements being made, and they're more often than not incoherent, unhelpful, zero-value garbage.  If you don't know what a signature campaign is yet, educate yourself about them, because they're responsible for the way the forum is.

I think you should be asking yourself this question. Why did you post shit?:

You are the problem here. This was a discussion forum created for people to discuss bitcoin but now it's just a copy and paste/shitpost one.

Probably because the infraction was only spotted yesterday.

What have you been doing for 1.5 years? Okay, I understood my mistake, and I promise to write posts only in Russian. Unlock me, please!

Nice intimidation technique, you've got him offguard and he's going to unblock you now so he doesn't look like he was sleeping for 1.5 years.

But I'm sure for all those years he's just been waiting for you to wake up so you can feel bad when he blocks you.

Your comments legit cracked me up

Will you forfeit everything you earned over the 1.5 years on this forum with your illegitimately-high-ranked account? If you do that I wouldn't mind if the admin wipes all your posts and lets you start over without a signature and jails you to the Russian board.

I`m not sure if your question is serious, but if it is then here is my answer:

this forum was made to connect bitcoin miners/users to each other, for people to learn, discuss and share opinions on how to mine, whatto fix, fixing rigs posting softwares wallets pools etc.

its also a place to talk about anything else, i am sure you can see the various sections of this forum we have offtopic gambling BTC altcoin help etc.

this forum is a place where creators (people who make pools and mining software) can show others their work.
people can discuss the bugs or features in them and make things better for the crypto world.

thats just my 2cents.

Speaking of zero-value garbage... Why not climb off the high horse and actually provide some value here yourself? Seems like all you do is criticize others to try and feel important and get paid from shady signature campaigns.

Is't it a ban evasion? If someone banned it's only allowed to open 1 (one) topic in Meta about the ban, and nothing else. Usually ban evaders are banned too, if I remember well, so it's not a wise thing for OP to open numerous topics and spam Meta...

Ok, I agree to permanently lose the signature, and write only in Russian-language topics. The main thing that administrators have kept my rank. If I break my promises - immediately block me forever!

That doesn't make sense. You broke the rules to get your rank. You should forfeit the rank and ALL YOUR EARNINGS.

Good luck. Let us know if theymos lets you do that.

Yeah I said this a few months ago there was another plagiarist creating multiple topics in meta like their own person therapy board.

Either way OP just needs to move on. If theymos changes the rules allowing for giving up signatures and makes it retroactive. Until then OP can take a hike.

Nice intimidation technique, you've got him offguard
It's not intimidation so much as manipulation, and I doubt he's got anyone "off-guard".  Mods themselves don't catch all the forum violations--they rely on the community to report them, and instances of plagiarism (for example) can go unnoticed for a long time before someone finally realizes what happened.

The time between offense and punishment is irrelevant.  First thing that came to mind was the John List case (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_List), a guy who got arrested like 18 years after he killed his whole family and then went on the run.  Do you think he used the excuse in trial that "Gee, this happened years ago.  Where were all the cops in all that time?"?  No, I don't think so.

Oh. In my defense, I just woke up from a nap and haven't yet consumed the cold cup of coffee that was sitting there next to me whilst napping.  That's the best excuse I can come up with, and it will have to do.

it is complete absurdity. How can you compare forum post and killing?

Low value posts from bounty hunting spammers kill threads, and, if left unpunished, will eventually kill the forum.

I want to get a response from Theymos

Oh is that all.

Why didn't you just ask? I've heard putting @ theymos in the title guarantees a response.

You have been banned for breaking the rules so what you want now? When you are permanently banned you can't create any topics other than ban appeal or it will be ban evasion and this account also will get ban soon.

I have not heard a clear answer to my question, I want to know the reason!

You got a very clear answer from a global moderator, you just didn't like it and you're hoping for a miracle. I don't think that's gonna happen. You have many other plagiarized posts too.

OP knows what he/she violated in the forum rules but still could not move on the results as getting ban. Probably he/she knows how hard to get merit to rank up again into that position as a member of the forum. In my few months of stay in this forum reading lots of post in meta section seems like theymos has only responded few users but not with the topic about ban appeals. It is bias to tell that theymos will definitely will not respond to this so OP if I were you go have a SIP of beer and make yourself happy for you were being part and earn on cryptocurrency through this forum. I still consider you lucky for reaching that rank of your ban account whereas comparing to other lower rank users that has never been into that position and still fighting to earn merit and to rank up.

Just be positive OP you can still joined other forum aside from bitcointalk. But, if you will ask me which forum does better about cryptocurrency discussions then I am 100% for BITCOINTALK.ORG.

Or until a mod will ban this account as well, because this can be a ban evasion...
Mods or admins won't unlock your former account but hopefully lock this topic, becasue you have already got answer to your questions, and ban evasion is not allowed here.

Isn't it obvious that there happens to be no chance in hell you're getting your account back, really I think ban appeals need to be stopped, and the reason/link to the plagiarised post be written in the banned message for the banned user, that way we apparently wouldn't be going back and forth on the same issue every single day

Some people enjoy the drama. :)

ps. not me - I think it's boring, and should be sorted by pm, or on a ban appeal sub-board.

I am sure that there is some way out of this situation ... @theymos or Administrators and moderators, help me, please!
Stop this non-sense because you are never going to get back your account.Once its banned it is permanently banned.

I did not ask opinions from newbies, junior members,  members and full members!!!
I am not saying my opinion,I just said what is the actual condition, some hero and legendary were said the same things to you even global mod answered you.
Ranks will not decide anything here other than campaign pay rates.

no, I only agree to permanently lose the signature, and write only in Russian-language topics

If I understood correctly, the reason for the ban of your account was poor quality and plagiarism posts. It blemishes the forum and reduces its value as a communication platform. Russian board is part of the forum as a whole. If you continue to write unqualified posts, but only in the Russian branch, this will not solve the problem. You`ll still be the source of spam and shitposting, only on a local and not on a global scale.

Show me at least one post of poor quality in Russian
What about the english posts,so you are agreeing that you did plagiarism and yes you will be never allowed anymore.
Mods why still he is not banned yet for ban evasion? ???
