I am down 50 percent and holding and undecided to buy more ALTS (Dollar Cost)

I still think positively about the altcoin even though its value is still going down and has not yet risen. we also cannot blame the market in full, because the role of crypto holders is also large here. most of them only trade without buying goods and that's what makes crypto value not good. if there is only one company that receives crypto as a payment, surely the crypto market will soon rise again.

A strong user case is paramount

we just think positively with the decline in altcoin prices we can invest our money with more profit if you think this is a golden opportunity for beginners who want to invest. the negative may be for those who have already bought when the price of bitcoin above 5000 dollars is a disaster for them the money held back by the economy being slow to sell is already losing money there is no good choice so I think just taking the positive course will certainly reap the rewards later

The whole alts market is a mixture of good and bad...sometimes it can be hard to decide which can be good and which can be bad. I am still hopeful though that there will be projects in the alts that will soon solidify themselves and will end up as influential and legitimate alternative to Bitcoin. It is just unfortunate that many of the alts are now struggling to get accepted though we can never blame the market why there is that hesitancy on alts as we know that many of the projects were categorized as scams and failures. I am still giving alts the benefits of the doubt.

Maybe you could add, stagnant in the option? If youre reaction is positive then you must know what to do now since youre in a good shape and positive vibes about the market. If negative then dont move for now. Undecided means you must not act accordingly to avoid necessary loss. Stagnant could be compared to a strategy where just go with the flow of the event.

so far, I still maintain altcoin.
because the price is so cheap and to profit from the altcoin so fast.
but if for me to save assets for a long time, I will hold coins like eth and litecoin

Actually, I do not put much faith in altcoins. But altcoins are still my main source of income (from bounty and trade). I find there are many potential projects but it takes a lot of time to prove that the project is really potential.

Anyway, I still choose "Possitive"

Well Alts are really good after BTC, Alts are a kind of mixture like there are good and bad as well. There might be a bad market today but for sure it will recover slowly, we need to wait until the market movement changes.

It remains positive despite all the negatives on the market. There will not always be stagnation, growth will once again begin, and many of the coins will continue to develop and delight us.

Of course, in my opinion, it is still very important, maybe now there are so many alts that go down even to the detriment of investors by more than 50%, but in fact the reverse has a price fluctuation that is faster than bitcoin. We just need to be careful in choosing the right alts to invest

i don't know what you mean by "sentiment" but it seems like you are talking about profit in altcoin market? in which case i am up about 10% in profit in the past weak and this year i have made even more than that. i haven't actually calculated my profits yet.
the trick is not bag holding any altcoin for longer than its pumping period. ;)

Alts is sometimes disappointing. I have many altcoins that have no value at all. I don't know why is this happening. I hope i can recover and earned this.

My sentiment toward bitcoin or altcoins are the same, Positive for all. Every market has its ups and downs, so it is temporary down for crypto. I believe crypto will recover and be better than the past.

I am still positive on my bags even I am currently down. As long as I can see continues project development then I am good. Price will follow suit.
On buying, I have no plans right now. I still can't tell if the market already reached bottom or if it can go even lower.

at this time I can't make a choice, maybe I'll wait a few more days before I take action to respond to market movements this time.
as far as I see, the market is down now, but there may be some altcoins going up. but all that cannot be determined at this time, so I better wait.

Clearly it is negative at the moment but in the longterm perspective market also seems to be hovering around support areas so buying from these levels is not bad either.

right now it feels so bad and bitter because my investment went down for more than 40% in total. But, i need to understand that rome was not built in a single night so do alt.
i believe it is a good time for them who want to invest for future, remember Amazon and Gold did the same thing too a couple years ago.
so i believe cryptocurrency still has a potential to go and grow like Amazon and Gold in the future, at least we know that we need blockchain technology to improve our financial system.

I can answer your question in timeline.

in short time: I don't think will a big change. so negative.

in a few months: We can see positive movements and more negative. So I think it is undecided.

after long time: market will rise. I am sure of it. It will be so big. (Positive!)

For me, I would take this chance to invest in alts because their prices are cheap compared on what they used to. But be sure if you are investing in the right one though. Btc and eth are the favorite ones to invest to right now.

Do you hold long or short term tokens? If you trade daily, did you not take this opportunity? And if you are sure of the alts development team that you hold, why not buy again when prices are down. If you are not sure, why still hold it and see price declines continuously. I personally always think positively if the alts activity that I hold is alive, surely the price will rise again.

I still think positively because altcoin isn't too bad to pursue profit trading.
However, for holding I strongly do not recommend, because most certainly will drop dramatically.
Unless you hold a bitcoin it will be useful in the future.

All in all we are in a pretty strong bear market here with altcoins and i do  jot like to trade in such amrekts so i wait till the whole market sentiment is much more postive (i know there arre some huge gains for early investors now...)

Many altcoins are really cheap right now, but only a few will be left. If you found some interesting ones and expect them to be a success it's likely they'll stay and be much more valuable next years.

I would go for undecided, most alts have already a huge loss and I don't know if the good ones will go down significant one more time.

If you are holding the Top 10 or 20 Coinmarket coins then you dont have to worry as when the market will recover this all coins will surely move up. If have got investment then you can average your bought coins buying price

If you look at the price of altcoins to the dollar, then now is a very good time to buy. If you in doubt, I recommend starting to buy

I agree with you, altcoins though gives us some nice profits but at times it is so frustrating to see them dip at most times.

@OP, i view altscoins as a scam so i can't hold them long.

I'm frustrated with the performance of the whole crypto market this year. The losses are large and by prognosis, the market reaction may come only after the second quarter of next year, for this reason I am not confident about altcoins in the short term.

My sentiment about altcoins is divided, why? Because a lot of projects are just scams, they have no use case, unrealistic plans and are just a team of people looking to make some quick money off investors.
On the other hand there are great altcoins that represents a great platforms with good use cases, and the necessary appeal to their target customers.
So my opinion is divided.

I still put my trust on the altcoins. But, not all altcoins are available. I will need to do more research when deciding to buy more altcoins. hat I need to do now is buying and making it as trading. Sometimes, i can make some profits by trading the altcoins. But once more, it needs better strategy and right time to decide when to buy, sell, and trade.

Positive for the reliable and worthy alts but not for majority that everyone holds because I have no idea what are those. You are down by 50%? Don't mind that dude, others are even struggling on how to endure the 80%-90% loss but we've been fighting that after all of those negativity of the market. Just don't sell until you are satisfied with all of the gains you've made or don't sell if you are still at loss, that's all.

There will be no change in short time. All of these things are going for long term. It might come in a few years later. But look at the market as long as bitcoin can defend its price and then this a bit better compared to see that will be back again to the bottom dude. I guess we will see that next year.

As an early adopter I would be greedy on buying on this point I focus more on the technology that many people will use. The cash will be obsolete anf cryptocurrency will be use as form of payment and store of value so as we move on in the next big thing, Cryptocurrency will be on the hot seat. Patience is the key.

Just quiet disappointed because there are so many alts that does not have or lower value. Maybe alts are manage long term in order to earn. So i am still believing in it.

My portfolio has been down for the last 6 months and it is because most of my holdings are altcoins. It is very frustrating to have experienced this fate but still i believe that altcoins or cryptocurrency in general will bounce back and i can recover my loses.

There are great altcoins out there, but investors are very hesitant to invest because of the market situation. Hoping that when we shifted from bearish to bullish, altcoins' potential will be unleashed.

altcoin is still a positive thing for investors. From the beginning alt coins is not too good as investment, tge reason is because there are still no real and big implementation yet for alt coin market, and the big falling didn't surprise me, and the situation got worse by more and more alt keep on coming out every day, and some even already label alt coin as a scam and shit coin

yes for this year, of course there are many disadvantages that we suffer, that's why you have to sell alt that are not important especially not having long progress.
I guess the speculation is too high I just suggest that you should stay and wait after this year.

Thoughts about altcoins are always the same, I think that the tokenization of the whole world has already begun and it is only very small, often of what is now generally on the market, very soon something global will begin. And those people who managed to now invest and managed to still buy tokens and coins will have their capital.

i am quite positive about it and let's face it, why not? it is a great choice of alts, and the projects are engaging, really, it has a lot to offer. i know that it requires some time but on the other hand, i am not in a hurry

in my opinion, great altcoin projects will sooner or later recover from this huge deep our job now is to identify those project and invest on them good luck everyone :)

Most of these altcoins are shitcoins and we may have a hard time to recover our portfolio back to its original price before. So we have to hold as long as we can until the market starts the bull run, so that we won't have a hard time holding our altcoins again.

We can't really rely in this altcoins during bearish market because it gives us nothing and mostly of the coins are very difficult to increase the price that's why we have to diversify our holdings.

for now I think negatively because indeed the market is currently experiencing a very significant decline, but for 2019 I am optimistic that everything will return to normal as in previous years, the negative assumption is only for 2018 which indeed becomes the lowest point for coin prices

You need to hold good coins and never sell at a loss: Cardano Stellar etc

well yeah.. the market is unpredictable for sure. But who else here feels confident about ALTS simply because of its strong features and potential? I certainly invest in things I know have unique features. Currently doing research on Virie. Apparently, it’s a distributed exchange network with a very user-friendly cryptocurrency functionality. Plus, it’s the first and only blockchain product which is actually useful and ready to use for anybody. Has anyone else heard about it? What other alts should we look into?

As of now, as bitcoin's drops its price the altcoins are also affected. I have also many altcoins and the prices of which are going down but i decided just to hold it and sell it in the near future to earn some profit.

Negative. My coins dropped its value and it's been on going for months now. I hate it when I look at my portfolio because all I see is red marks. The only time I see a green mark on my portfolio is when XRP goes up. Other coins just keep on dropping. My sentiment will be undecided if the market goes up before the end of the month. If its remain the same, I'm out and I'll just hodl my coins until it is good for selling.

My thoughts are highly negative about altcoins these days. Because they are reacting very bad. With dumps of btc altcoins are going weaker. I dont know. I have to believe my holdings and my altcoins but these days hard to trust altcoins because there is no dip for altcoins they can go very low if whales want that.

I am very optimistic and positive about altcoins as I have invested more in altcoins. But I have suffered loss at present as all coins I have have been down in prices dramatically. But I know cryptocurrency is the future of us and it will bring change in our lives in the future. So I want to urge all to stay positive about altcoins.

Not only altcoin but bitcoin has been decreasing a lot from its ATH. those people who have bought bitcoin when it was around 20k must loss more than 80% from its peak price. I guess we need bitcoin to go to the moon to make our portfolios will come back in the future but there's no eta lol
