Title: Cryptocurrency in Australia
Post by: ArturoProfit on November 17, 2018, 08:02:35 PM
Recently I heard from one friend that in Australia at the airport you can use cryptocurrency as payment for services. Including the purchase of tickets. Is that really the case?

If this good news is true I think we can easily find out tons of news on the internet but for now I still don't know anything about it and still don't hear anyone tell about it. Maybe it's not true :). I don't think it's easy to legalize cryptocurrency beside I don't think if any country can legalize cryptocurrency they'll apply it as payment in a place as airport.

I believe your friend could be right, because Australia Brisbane International is the World's First Crypto-Friendly Airport accepting Dash, NEM, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc for payments. But the only doubt is that we are not in Australia and cannot be sure. If more countries can effect more positivity towards, it would be good

So, I think it would. I don't know what about Australia, but ICO and other campaigns in Russie are scums and I hope australians are not.

I personally have not heard that someone can buy plane tickets for the cryptocurrency, but I know that Australia is a very developed country and maybe they have already entered payment in the crypto

Good news if this could be true but how could they cope up the volatility of cryptocurrency?

That is one big problem for entities that wanted to adapt crypto into their system.

I think that crypto in Australia is a good way to give people a chance to earn money on trading. In my opinion, crypto market is going to recover in the nearest future and we will benefit from this much. Let's wait a bit !

I believe if it was really the case, there would be huge hype about this news. With no hard evidence it seems like a rumor, although very easy to believe in.

I think this is a really good leap forward, as these methods of payment with cryptocurrency, bring us closer to the future.

If it's true that your friend is right, this is excellent news for the cryptocurrency market. However, now I have the news tracker not seeing any information showing that the cryptocurrency is used to buy tickets at the airport in Australia :). If that is true then you should have evidence that people can believe, avoid rumors are not true.

Of course it is true, and No it will not.
It already happened with them for a few months already, just like japanese.
read it : https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-australia-is-becoming-a-cryptocurrency-continent-markets-regulations-and-plans

what we need right now is a news that comes from ETF. i bet and hope 2019, ETH will trigger the bull.
because the market always moves like that, we got pumped for a year and a year later we got a dump.
2017 we got pumped because of CME, 2018 we got dumped because of drama, fud and 2019 we will get it back!

True - Even further, on the back of it one of the tourist towns in Queensland further up the coast from Brisbane is starting to use cryptocurrencies at over 30 businesses in the town as an option for payment using specified cryptocurrencies (BTC, LTC, ETH, NEM, BCH).

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-06-03/australias-first-digital-currency-friendly-town/9828306

https://www.ccn.com/australias-first-digital-currency-town-accepts-bitcoin-to-boost-tourism/

https://zycrypto.com/famous-tourist-australian-town-agnes-water-embraces-crypto/

This is just a sign, other locations in other countries would no doubt be doing similar.  But am very happy to be seeing my country doing something.

That is a good sign for the growth of the crypto market. This shows that in Australia there are many businesses involved in the crypto market and that will be an advantage for our strong growth. If there are more such businesses, the capitalization of cryptocurrency will increase.

This is possible as Bitcoin and Crypto currency in Australia are declared legal so expect not only in the airport but soon in the ports and any means of travel will directly receive Bitcoin as form of payment. Hopefully this will happen in out country too that we could use Bitcoin as an alternative payment options in any establishments.

Yes this is a legit news and that has been in the web and verified by other people too before.

No, this didn't brought any bull in the market and that's why this has been the most popular news before as they have been the first airport that started to accept crypto's. But we don't have any update if its really useful there and customers are even tried to pay with bitcoin or any accepted crypto.

Yes, it really is. And in addition to paying for airport services, Australia accepts cryptocurrency as payment for utilities and fines

I heard in Australia, you can not only pay for tickets at the airport, but also pay utility bills with bitcoin and 40 more cryptocurrencies. Very smart people live in Australia, they know how to make more money.
