We will get ere that is so good, the decline that occurred at this time is only a small incident and will not last long. Crypto will get a much better position, we still have 45 days to go to the end of the year and by looking at the data that there should be a positive movement. The main point is don't panic, panic will never solve a problem. Support and try to increase crypto usage. There is good news that we have to wait and as long as we wait we must try to be patient.

Why would anyone invest in to an ETF that tracks bitcoin price when bitcoin has been going down all year? People aren't foolish, most people like to wait to see something on an upward trend before they invest in to it.

If there's one thing this piece of news didn't succeed in doing, it was affect the price of Bitcoin positively, rather we've seen a decline in price, forcing panic sell offs. Only a continued uptrend and stable price will lure more investments into this space. At the moment, the volatility is extremely high.

The price is going down more every day. Yes, the Swiss ETF will start next week but the good news did not help the market as the price still went down more. Panicking is out of the way now because all we are doing now is mere speculation that cannot help anyway to stem the sliding price. I will no longer hold my position because every new day is depleting my portfolio.

I am not selling.I am holding but I don't believe there will be a bull run in the foreseable future.I personally believe that bitcoin will go 5000-6000 for at least a year or so.I am content with that.I believe this will be an opportunity for the market for a better growth.

It must bull run in December, big players are coming, adoption is growing, we just need one ignition, I am waiting till march next year, if nothing happen I am out, but I strongly belive december is the month, the only thing that could prevent it to happen is any kind of exploit in the code, faketoshi is talking bullshit about segwit, this fraudester are scarying people about BTC.

Generally, it's difficult to acquired btc today even by any means so it's quiet a good situation if people really holds some now and just focus on getting an extra more "whatever the trend is". You decide.

If we look at the BTC/USD chart, we see divergence on the RSI, we see that we're oversold... Those are great trading signals, but there is more to trading than technical analysis, there is way to many factors, especially with all the manipulation and that "infamous war" =)

I personally believe that there is something they have been cooking for this to go this far. That one is creating this level to make up for that pump. I'm definitely sure that ETF is going to be the catalyst in this mess that's why there's this huge OTC buyouts going on under the radar.

Weak hands is a loser and they won't play fairly with crypto, and as they always do that I don't think that's one way of managing crypto in a profitable manner. Always bare in mind that advice of do not panic, just enjoy the current trend and don't ever lose your grip on it.

These developments may have an impact on the price. In my opinion Swiss's positive decision about Bitcoin will be effective because of the large banks in Switzerland. But as far as I remember from the past year, new year in China had caused to a price drop and there is no guarantee that this year will not be and we also need to calculate this. Whether this news is true or not I still believe to see a great price an the end of 2018. Its hard to know the reason of this dump but panicking is not good, the best thing that we can do right now is to hold or to buy more bitcoin which can give us more profit in the long run.

Don't panic this is just temporary and it is a god opportunity to buy some because when the time come that the BTC will be back at bull run then we can have our gain of at least 20 percent or maybe doubled. But if ever this one is true, I think December of 2018 might be bullish as long as the "Chinese Dump" could be over, also wondering which wallet is the source for this dump.

for now, I think those who don't panic, and still don't secure their assets are people who do have long-lasting souls. this proves that currently bitcoin and eth have lost 25% of the price since the beginning of this month. well, for myself I have taken several precautions.

I'm not sure about the Chinese dump though, I thought bitcoin and the rest of the crypto's suffered because of the ongoing war between BCH ABC and BCH SV.

in any case this drop is only because of the bitcoin cash/SV crap that has been going on for a short while but has been building up for it from a couple of months ago by starting their FUDs a while back.

as for bitcoin being bullish this year, I don't think so anymore because a small drop below the support line was nothing but now that price has gone way lower to $4k there is no way to recover from it fast and it will take a very long time, possibly most of 2019 to recover.

I just uninstall Blockfollio in my smartphone and I don't look at the Dollar equivalent anymore so that when I look at my portfolio, if amount today is 1.5 BTC, tomorrow its still 1.5 BTC. Nothing to panic if what you've invested in Bitcoin is just your extra funds or idle funds. Those who panic are those who placed their life savings or go all-in in Bitcoin.

Yes, unfortunately, those 2 put us in a uncomfortable position specially for those newbies in Bitcoin investment. They don't know what really happens in the past few days and just decided to offload and push the sell button.

We should look at 2019 now and just hope that this 2018 will soon be over. We can start fresh next year and be positive and hope the market follow. We can't be seeing this bearish trend that long, sooner or later a positive news will push the price, but it will take a lot more months or years as expected since the price has broken the $5000 barrier now.

I don't think this has anything to do with newbies (more precisely weak hands) in bitcoin market anymore because they have been flushed out a while back when price was actually dropping to reach the bottom at $6k.
right now it is only whales pushing the price down by offloading coins on the order books to artificially get a lower price so that they can accumulate more coins there.

Hahahaha, It is really not about someone with a long lasting soul, it is just one thing you will just have to inculcate in your mindset that panicking does not actually solve any problem at all. A lot of people who have panicked in the past have regretted it. The market is just bent on pushing away the weak hands at the moment, but fundamentally, there is a great future for this market considering institutions are really going to be getting into this market huge, and one thing I know for sure, they will want to enter when they feel they have driven the price down enough. If you are smart, you will know what to always do at this point, which is to accumulate more.

SEC ETF is coming on december so there is no need to worry about the bull run and BAKKT is back upping its price on this year, so more or less the bull run will be on 2018 to 2019 not like last year which the bull closed its doors before the year ended.

I don't know how to not panic during these situations. The market is basically collapsing and the hash war dudes are telling each other to back off or they will keep on spending more money and getting the win somehow. There is no winner here, the winner will have less money and the loser will have even less money and between all these dudes fighting and losing money by the buckets the market is collapsing on itself.

Ethereum is as low as it has been for a long time now and the miners of gpu mining farms are closing their shops for the day because they are not making any profits. This is the bad side of bitcoin right now, just because two sides are fighting for bitcoin cash, there are miners closing shop on ethereum mining. We are in some bad bad days and it is hard not to panic.

We cannot blame those people who are panicking at this moment. Because the prices in the market is truly disappointing. Its hard to control our emotions at this time.

Yes I agree on that this is in expected, some speculation is not dropping expert speculation of expert last September is rising of the price and not falling so I think this is unexpected fall.That is why many people is now getting panic and they sell in a panic way and the dip is really bad right now.

There are many things you can do in this market, including buying in at this price and holding coins you had earlier to dollar cost average, or simply hold and do nothing. It's up to you to make a decision in the end, as there is no perfect way to trade.

Yes, I'm also doubtful and it looks like bitcoin isn't really decentralized because it can still be manipulated by people who have a lot of money, they can sell and buy like playing market prices. Well, bull runs do not just happen overnight, and it is this bull run for no reason at all other than greed that has turned this market to what it is today. The condition of the market right now is favorable for those who want it to be favorable for them.

I have always noticed something about a lot of people here, 🤔they are always trying to catch the bottom. If you keep on with that, then I’m very sorry you’re gong to be missing out on opportunities. Whenever you want to buy cryptocurrency, you should set out the money you can afford to lose.

After you have done that, divide that money again and invest like half of it in cryptocurrency while the rest stays as fiat. There are times when you will need that fiat to boost yourself, maybe when the price drops and you can use it to buy more and add to what you have while you wait another jump.

I am still not well convinced with this but that doesn't mean that I am doubting about the market. As for me, it would help a little to uplift our spirits towards the dip but we can't rely everything in this kind of specualation. I hope OP is right about of this news he spreading so we will just have to wait for a couple of week for this event to happen. There might be a swift changes in the marketcap here if the news going to get real but let's not just get excited about it because it hasn't happen yet. As for the meantime we just have to HODL for our coins until bull run shows up.

You know there is one point you would have gotten to in the market, which you will not even be worrying yourself about what is going on right now. For what it is worth, the way things are now, I would rather let the market give more bonuses and take as much time as it wants to recuperate in the long run.

One sure thing I will not be missing with the market going down like this is to buy more at the dip. A lot of people may start getting themselves worried and worked up unnecessarily, but this is the time to be getting all happy for at least being able to hold more for the future.

I am with you both at this point, getting panic is not going to bring anything, be positive for the market recovery and it will recover soon or later, crashes are common in any financial market, something its a little correction and sometime a bigger one like this, we should not expect recovery overnight, it will take sometime but it will recover, bigger investor will be entering to buy cryptos on low price and that will push market upwards.

Manipulation does not make it less decentralized, we are all in it, and as long as people see the need to buy more, they always will do. But we also have to understand there are some with huge fiat to move the market always in their favor, and they would not have been able to do that, if the market is not hugely speculative in nature, but for now that is what we have and that is what we will basically have to live with.

In the long run, may be when we start getting to see the market being used in real life than just being driven by speculation and people who want to get rich overnight, then we will have less of manipulations.

Of course, price manipulation has nothing to do with decentralization. Also to cause panic on the market you do not need to have a lot of money (of course, the more the easiest to do it). The panic we've seen over the past two weeks has been more of a psychological manipulation than a financial one.

Of course we should have to choose the coins that has already been on the top of the list and that is Bitcoin next is Ethereum other than that there are token also who has a potential. honestly I'm trying not to panic at the crypto market conditions that are downtrend heavily,

but hearing news about the SEC my panic was slightly reduced, for now i stop trading crypto waiting for the SEC to be approved, I predict the price of bitcoin in 2020 can be fixed if the SEC is officially approved.

There is actually a lot of reference online and if you just Google it, then you will easily find it. It is not something new, and it is basically something we all know already. However, how that would be reactive when it comes to the market is something we cannot all tell, but it is not a bad idea to anticipate a bull run for the future, is it? One thing is certain right now, the smart ones already know what to do by picking the dips, the gullible ones are getting scared and selling at loss, and that is basically what the institution wants, probably it is time for institutional entry I guess.

No one knows for sure how the price of Bitcoin moves. Someone can only make speculations and we will all just hope that the Bitcoin condition will experience a positive change. Increases and decreases can occur at any time, so try to continue to analyze because then we can choose momentum correctly. The right timing in selling and buying will determine what we will get.

From the start of this month, every post was about the decline and  elaborating how it will go down further (although they were only speculating). After reading this post, I felt some positiveness. But let's suppose if it is right then only big whales will be benefiting. Small traders like us will be happy on few bucks. Frankly I am unable to understand the behaviour of market. 

No one is predict when SEC will approved in officially. But crypto dump and pumps are depends on demand and circulation supply so this will be move forward in as soon as possible so keep holding our investment is the good decision in this year. I hope crypto technology is rule the market in 2025.

These news guys seem to be happy  about bitcoins downing prices who I think are causing panic and all other negative effects,  but for now am hoping for the best.

It is just a matter of time before the bull run will happen, so for the meantime why not we buy more instead so that we will sell it during bull run. In my opinion 2018 is logical consequence of 2017... Whoever invested at the beginning of 2017 is still 5-10x in profit (depending on which crypto he invested in).
So nothing to be afraid here, even if price of BTC goes as low as 2000 or 1500, there is still no reason to panic.

Is that true? It sounds too good to be true. When you said it has been approved, what does approve your idea? Is that really true or just a big hope? or hoax? Can you elaborate more? or at least attach the article that talk about this? Because it sounds like it's really certain. Whereas, there's no certain thing in bitcoin, everything is unpredictable, I believe that.   

Bakktwas move to January 24 instead of December 12. And maybe this is one of the reason why market is going down deeply. Plus sec has no clearer view if they will approve the etf since there is no proof that Bitcoin is an asset.

As bitcoin is falling, everyone is panicking especially the newcomers who do not have enough knowledge in cryptocurrencies' behavior. For those who are already in crypto for long, they see this situation as an opportunity to buy more cryptocurrencies.

Something wrong with your brain, I don't see any valuable information in your post. This news doesn't have any positive impact into our faith as investor/ trader and I see it just like promotion. In this situation everyone will panic and try to safe their asset in many ways, you should give us solutions or new strategy about it, it's more worth for us. Yes it correct Swiss ETF is already up and running but Bakkt will come but not later than early 2019. This event will surely have an impressive impact on the price of bitcoin. Like your post, it's a good news but I think it's not easy to see the bounce in December but I will hope for bouncing. We are watching the crazy decision of SEC and the effect of Bitcoin price. I don't like to see it anymore maybe all trader.

Again this is a speculative market. Anything can happen at any time. A good example of stable price was the month of October-November price of bitcoin. It was extremely stable at daily change of only <1%. Thats how stable it became in several years till date. Overall crypto has the attribute of being "very volatile" but this is an over exaggeration and one could say the same for gold or other commodities as well.

Instability in price will not stop till the entire economic reserve is converted to bitcoins and that is a very longshot concept.

Since last year lot of new investor flocking in crupto market and hoping that bullish be sustained from 2017 other lend money just for investing in crypto market but worst came out instrad of bull we experienced bearish market which already last morethan a year. In general, I believe that in 2019 there will be no bull run, because I don't see any real reasons and prerequisites for this. As we see, all significant events are postponed for various reasons (it is quite possible that all this is not accidental).

Really? I bet there are more investors who left the market than those who got in. If there were a lot of investors then, then the situation now wouldn't be like this. Sharp declines can induce panic attacks which will be hard to control. It's easy to say do not panic when things are running smoothly but it's different if a dire situation is upon us.

 yes you are right the investors had no situation for making their movement and the next move will stuck due to the value drop that's why the suddenly changes happened in all the investors mind and panic is also be the main responsibility one reason for people quitting this field.

Let us not forget that; its take sometime 2-3 years for bitcoin to experience another bull run, so, my believe on cryptocurrency bull run this year is 50% which is likely to happen around or toward the end of 2019 and early 2020. But there is this strong thing that keep remanding me of the next bull to be year 2020, so, i will never panic because am already  seeing myself a self made Millionaire!..

I panicked when I saw the price of all coins declining, everyone would be panicked, they could not make a profit, because all coin prices in the trading market were unstable, wait for the price of all coins to be stable if they want to invest

my personal opinion is panic will definitely made you to take the bad decision if you are in the good state also so while the market is going down don't trust anyone trust only you if you think it will be good to hold your investment then you can definitely stay strong with your quality it will make you good future.

Its ok to panic but making decision because of your bad emotion can make your money lose. I mean panicking is not good at all and instead of feeling this you should be more wiser and invest while the price is dumping. Do good even if the market is in bear market, don’t make such decision to ruin your future.

There is no bull run happen in BTC but I will still believe that bitcoin will make us happy again and we will see green in the market again. December 2018 does not make bitcoin increase its price even up to today.
I am not panicking at the moment even if there is no improvement with bitcoin because I know in some ways bitcoin will recover and we'll see good amount again. The best way we can do is to be more patient because if we panic, we can just lose more than we lose right now.

Right, panic is an emotion that's hard to control and most of the time this emotions really contributed to us losing money because of bad decisions.
