Title: Order Delay
Post by: outsidertrader on November 20, 2018, 04:19:52 AM
Is there any exchange without delay to place orders ?  Wich one has the lowest delay?

Trying to scalp in this market but the delay is too high!

What do you mean with delay? My orders at bitfinex are getting placed rapidly (I am definitly not talking about seconds), even via their mobile app!

An order should be placed instantly, I've used Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex, Liqui, YoBit, Crytopia, and many other exchanges and I've never got any delays. Which exchange are you using?

The only delay you should have is while waiting for the order to be fulfilled and that's pretty normal If, for example, you're trying to sell your coins a little bit higher then what other people are buying for.

You should not invest more in this market anymore. Bitcoin will go for $ 3000. That is the prediction of so many people. If you place a buy order now, you will again delay again. wait for its price of $ 3000 and buy, that is reasonable price.

Try nearly any exchange and there won't be any delay unless there's some extreme volatility. You might find often you get beat to it by bots, you'll never be faster than them. Scalping in this market will be a blood bath anyway.

So you are pointing about "orders filled" here? Or the act of placing ones?

Looks like their servers can't handle the volume. The placing of order should be instant. Didn't have an experienced on Bitmex though.

Well then, try those suggested trading platforms above. They should be good. Don't want to specifically pinpoint what exchanges will you used. I want you to choose based on your own preferences.

Not "order filled". I mean "placing orders"!

The delay bettwen my click and the order Book placing.

It goes about 5 to 10 seconds, not instantly, sometimes it got instantly, but it's untrustable.

For regular daytrade its ok, but scalping would be extremely lucrative.

I don't know what means of delay, maybe it is from connection or maybe server of that exchanger, I think if want to scalp you must do it in market that already trusted and always have high volume. It means they already prepared for high volume trading activity.

as long as I trade there is no delay in the purchase, maybe you buy at a lower price, so your transaction is postponed, the number of transactions is delayed because most people predict the price will continue to fall. If you buy at the current price there will be no delay

So far this is only my first encounter of this kind of issue on using up Bitmex.I dont see any complaints from other traders as well when it comes to placing order delays.

Usually this thing is instant even how high the volume does a platform would have, be placing orders wont be an issue. If this thing persist then delays might caused by poor connection.

I suggest you use a trading application or market that does have trading apps, you use that. Usually the use is better than using the website mode. Binance, Bittrex and Yobit are usually quite good at processing buy / sell orders. If it's still in trouble, it's probably because of your internet connection

it is a common thing that exchanges experience heavier load and slower response time due to that during the price rises or price drops since there are a lot more traders communicating with their servers. but also the problem may be because of your connectivity. you need to have a good latency if you don't want these delays.
also try using their API (if they have one) through a bot it is always a little faster.

This delay is quite unusual for centralized exchange if there's' any or same one that we think of. Because of the fees should be worth to be fast. Maybe because of your net connections or pc issues. Also more traffic could be the case.

I have been trading for 2 years and I have never been delayed in place order. If you are trading at small exchanges, give it up and you can trade at major trading platforms like Coinbene, Okex, Binance, ...
It will not delay anymore.
