it's really clear for all of us that btc is going to 4000 usd levels, how's your portfolio right now?
what plans you're going to follow?

Although, as they normally say that the rise and fall of bitcoin is unpredictable, but this is clearly evident that bitcoin is going down to $4000 in no time. It could even be lower than that.I've lost a whole lot of money with this, and I just hope it gets better next year, cause there's no chance of it coming back in a better form this year.

I do not panic at the price of BTC, this is what is called tranding, the risk is very high, I studied in the previous year, the price is very cheap, but what happened in late 2017, pump pump pump, I will keep it, even though I lost a lot

I really can't say antyhing about that. I thought we saw the lowest value when we reached 5.8k $ some time before. And now it is very depressing to watch or open blockfolio at all.

Only the brave hearted can even dare take a look at blockfolio these days. Imagine looking and seeing your money all drained out and still draining. At this rate, it's safe to say no one can tell exactly much BTC will shed further in price. I have no other plans than to hodl thru as any sell off now will only be at huge losses which I can't stomach.

You know that everyone has the same status with their portfolio's. We don't know how long this bear market would end but just go on with your said plans before of being a long term investor.

My portfolio has lost more than $ 6k4 in 2 weeks. That is the most crazy thing I've ever known in my investment career. Currently I am very nervous and panic. but i think i will calm down and still have to hold as planned. I will wait until the BTC rises to $ 7k.

I have lost my faith in the cryptocurrencies, when I invested the Bitcoin in the highest price in last year, then the price keep to dropped in this year, now only worth USD400 or go down in the future, I am sad and want to cut loss now.

Or else your mind will keep oscillating abput what we should do now,the only best thing we should do is just forget about out crypto holding and wait for the bull run to begin.

You can only cut your losses by holding your coins until the prices increase to level where you bought it.Don't lose hope because no pain no gain.

I thought the negative 75% I was seeing on my portfolio the past few months was the worst, now I am seeing negative 80% already :o

Nothing just hold all my coins, I don't see any big clamp down on cryptocurrency websites or programs or big fuds on blockchain technology, the market is not showing good progress but the technology is, and will be adopted by big companies and countries.

That would be really amazing, if BTC falls to USD 4k by tomorrow, that means 50% of Bitcoin price wiped out in 1 week, and that also means most other coins just lost even more. I think Ether was 215 at the time it all started? 50% is $108 and it's not far away at all. Crazy times and I cannot imagine this all happened this year, so well done to those who waited for good buying times. Wish I had more cash to buy because this is big bargain price!

Same as everyone, My portfolio now is on red.
But that doesn't make me feel depressed because my plan for the next days is buying more cheap coins and especially the top 20 coins.

The main plan is to adopt with the market situation, we can trade,buy at its lowest this time of course very risky but when the market become better you gonna earn a lot for sure. Im a holder and Im am positive with the current market situation, I see it like a slingshot.

The condition of my portfolio is in the bad situation because all the token that I hold have low price now and it is totally bad. The price of bitcoin seems to dropped at $4000 and its a very big problem especially to the holders of bitcoin. I think i will still hold my tokens until the price goes up.

I don't have bitcoin, but the alt that I have has no price, so this decline is very influential on all crypto, of course.

I dont wanted to look on my portfolio as much as possible because it will only ruin my day specially if your are using coinstats app  :D I already lost 40% value of my tokens but it will not be a signal for me to panic sell those because I will surely regret that decision. Selling at lost is only for weak hearted trader and i am sure that this bearish market will end sooner or later.

I just read something from the community about the speculation about the BTC price.

there will be 3 instances in this market now.

1. BITCOIN Will slide more and will 3000 USD EACH.
this is something really bearish.

2. It will play at 3000-4500 USD and will go 9000 USD each.

3. BTC will die, this is not acceptable in the market but it always has 0.000000001111 percent to happen.

I adhere to the plan for the fall of the entire market and most likely Bitcoin will fall even more until the bulk start selling their coins and only after that we will see some market growth, but this is not certain  ;D

You're right! The price of course can go up to 4000 USD for 1 BTC and even lower, but another factor is interesting, why does such a sharp drop occur? I think if we can understand the reasons, then we will know what will happen next. One thing is clear for sure that the market is being manipulated and now the price of BTC is specially lowered downwards and of course someone will buy it. Zanchit can be concluded that the fall was done on purpose to make a panic and to get stuck again at the lowest possible price before the market grows. Imagine another, lower the price of BTC even lower, who then wants to deal with such an asset? That's right, most of them do not want to, so the option with a large drop disappears. Yet this is the last chance to buy cheap and then only up.

At this point, there is nothing to really stop the freefall.

For awhile, there seemed to be signals that we could have an end of the year bull run.
BTC was stable, it refused to dip below $6000, current investors sentiment was strong, and adoption from governements and institutional investors was coming along nicely.
It was a tense scenario where everyone was holding their breath.

Then, the stock market crashed, brought btc down past $6000, and now we have a "mental break".
As the year closes, investors all around will be much more bearish and with no significant developments, this leaves an open road for btc to crash.
And, as btc crashes, it brings the whole market down with it.

I think we all need to make long term plans for 2019, as the more likely scenario now is another year of bearish trading.

Actually I don't seen my portfolio right now. It breaks my mind. This time crypto teach us huge lesson about investing plans. It will continue price around this level few month as my thought. I don't see anything to do rather than holding,

I don't know, but I intend to start buying coins that have the potential for their heads and also when it's a good investment.
in just a few hours I have seen that more than 10% of the price of bitcoin has decreased maybe this will continue until the end of the year and in 2019 later bitcoin will probably rise and the price will return in the range of 5000 dollars or more.

Yes you are correct the price might fluctuate but the technology behind bitcoin and its uses will always be there and BTC it is must needed for crytpo world. No problem what the price of btc is for me. Actually i am happy that BTC is falling. Because when it was around 6k, no one was selling btc. Now people make panic-sells. Me? Just watching the market and running people with wine i have in my hand.

That's will be quite surprising, it has never happened like that before. If Bitcoin fell to 4k, then it will means 50% of its decline within a week and this will further affect the entire market. This year is almost and I don't expect any magic to happen again but in all this, what's paining most is that I don't have money to buy more. Those that have money to buy now are the lucky breed because Cryptocurrency is here to stay and those that buys now will smile in some time to come.

The last week is for the bitcoin, but also for the whole cryptocurrencies the world really bad. Even in the worst of the dreams I would not expect it. With this decline, my portfolio is down sharply.

Mhan, I would not have believed that bitcoin ever got to $4500 low level if it had not happened in my eyes. I should have converted my btc to fiat when it was consolidating for many weeks.

I cannot see any solid reasons why BTC could not fall below 4000$. I can see it easily dropping to 1000$ range. This kind of a downward spiral we have right now has a great chance to trigger a massive chain-reaction (maybe it has already started) where coins will lose high % of their value with some days.
Those massive sell-offs mean that order books will get totally obliterated.

Just cut your losses when you need to, no need to suffer. Better times will return.

I'm still traumatized seeing the bitcoin fall again after the hardfork bch. this is the worst in this year, we all suffered huge losses, and this is the manipulation done by the pope to reduce the price of bitcoin to the lowest.

I really think this is caused by the $usd coins being used by big company's.. They are printing alot of $$ then they just pump and keep pumping ..
Now, the real value is showing off, they are withdrawing to pay the taxes maybe.. this will never end, it will, only if the community stops these games..

It is already close to 4000 dollar levels. I can't believe we called people who said 4800 was possible crazy just a week ago. If anyone said 4800 was coming a week ago I would be like this person is a fudder and he doesn't understand economics at all. Now we are lower than 4800 and I am afraid of getting to 3300 levels of resistance. I have learned my lesson not to call anyone crazy for going low predictions because even if the price goes back to 800 dollar levels I won't be shocked anymore.

The thing that kept me hope up was the miners and we are lower in price compared to what it cost to mine bitcoin. If the cost is higher to price it means we are at a level of unknown, it could drop insanely and we wouldn't have any reason not to. Mining cost was the only indicator I used but we are way below that now.

I sold them when they were $ 5k5. I think the bitcoin will be $ 3200 in the future. Sell early and you will have money to invest in bitcoin again. That will make you more money in the future if the price of bitcoin grow to $ 20000 as late as last year.

I think, that bitcoin can be less than 3000$. But also 10000$. And this fact will not cancel the possibility of bitcoin to be a means of payment. Bitcoin is not money In the full sense of this word. But it have some functions of money.

I'm not against btc in anyway, trust me, i trust btc even more than "real money'' .. That's not the reason behind my thread, i opened it to know whether peoples are feeling sad or they feel the vibes, this is bad for "slow minds'' but this is extremely great for begginers to start from a good point.
Remember that we can trade, we are not obliged to HODL. You can always trade and start cutting the loss, there's a bigger chance to earn mate.

Their is a possibility price of bitcoin will drops more than that. I will continue to hold since price of btc is very low. Well yes by investing at very low we could make more profit once it will increase.

well, now the price is at the price of $ 4xxx, it's only a matter of time until the price of bitcoin is under $ 4000. well, even at preev prices are down. this month really has a big impact on bitcoin.

Heres my view of this approach to 4000 area.   Its bottom of the channel for this move roughly -

We can go two ways of course, as always its never easy to see immediately which it will take but this could be a test of the prior bottom then we rise or its fails in that test.   I'm still bullish, it seems wrong to be negative after this move when it should be catching people off guard and checking those shorts out and then finally deciding its longer term direction.

The possibility that bitcoin reaches that price is very real, most of my portfolio consists of bitcoin and I have decided to do nothing for the time being because it is very likely that if I try to get in and out of the market at the right time I'm probably going to lose even more money than what I'm losing right now because I'm not that skilled when it comes to trading so for now I'm just holding my coins.

Current development is not really good for my portfolio in which i have already endured well the losses but still i will hold and keep on clinging with my assets specially Bitcoin as what is the point of selling it low now that it will just ensure my losses. I will keep on holding as i believed that the market will bounce back as per market history of Bitcoin.

Yeah, it is on the level of $4000 now and I don't know if this is still normal for the last stable amount which is $6000-$6500 levels. I hope it will get back to more than $6000 amount again and hopefully next month it will recover again. A lot of us now are making panic selling for sure that is why bitcoin price is slowly dropping right now.  :(

Probably it will go lower.  The coming good news will be next year so we can probably see more crash coming.  Panic had been everywhere if this thing did not stop it is possible to see BTC on 3k usd level,  But I guess we should hodl until all these confusion clears out.

We really saw about 4100 dollars as bottom if I am not wrong, that is incredibly low. So low that if you asked anyone if the price would hit 4100 dollar levels only 10 days ago they would react like you were crazy. Let alone 10 days ago, if you asked people even after the price went from 6500 dollars to 5600 dollars after the bitcoin hash war deal if the price would drop even further they would probably say (and some DID say that) price already dropped so much, it won't drop any further, yet it did.

This kind of shows how the market could do so much worse then anything you can think of. If I stand here and say that bitcoin could drop to 2000 dollars next week you would think I am crazy, I do not believe that the price would be 2000 neither but from what happened in the past 10 days we should learn that it CAN go to 2000 dollars next week and it wouldn't be impossible, sure unlikely but not impossible.

I think OP wanted to start more of a support-group discussion for people who are getting slaughtered in the market right now, which is pretty much everyone who bought bitcoin above $5000--and that's a lot of people, unfortunately.

I didn't expect bitcoin to tank this badly by any means, and I'm a bit surprised that it's at $4200 as I'm writing this.

But that's bitcoin for you (and altcoins, too).  Just remember, what goes up must come down in financial markets--and vice versa, IF the asset is actually worth something and isn't destined to head toward zero.  Bitcoin isn't in that category, so this is just another big dip that hodlers are going to have to sweat through.  It's not comfortable, but the worst thing you could do right now is to sell.

Well, the market looks pretty terrible at the moment due to massive dump that is going on. but for me, I cashed out  about 3 months ago, I'm in favor of the market crash as I'm ready to buy more cheaper coins.

I'ts impossible for bitcoin to go under $4000.  Don't fall for the fud, whales are trying to get everyone to sell their coins for cheap prices.  You know it is time to buy because all the mainstream news sources like CNBC are saying bitcoin is dying.  We eill never see bitcoin this cheap again so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

But, you're saying some "GOLD" words, that's true, Media has a BIIG effect on btc, that's horrible and we should learn from our mistakes and use these periods as a way to grab more and more btc in the future.

It's clear that everything is in blood bath and the trend continue to drop. Well, BTC is always having an issue in terms of its character and I think we should need to hold for a bit until we can see some green lights of hope for the next few years.

My plans that I still to follow is to hold my bitcoins. Because if Im going to sell my bitcoin right now I will lose more money.
I hope the mission of everyone is to hold their bitcoin and to get back their capital and get more money.

I don't care about what other people say about the price of bitcoin, because I will continue to maintain it, and sell it in the future when prices reach the peak. I did that because I feel that the age of bitcoin's still young, as the age of bitcoin increases undoubtedly the growth of new users will continue to occur, and in the future the bitcoin price will definitely be better than the current price.

Bitcoin has already reached its all time low at 3,000$ mark and i never expect of this too as i thought that 5,000$ will be its all time low this year. Well, i accept about what happened because i am also aware about how volatile bitcoin can be.

well, I suspect this will happen. however, I think this will only happen temporarily. however, this situation is indeed quite bad, but the price of bitcoin is still quite high today. well, I think there will be an increase in prices in 2019 to come.

Usually when everyone is expecting a number, price stops right before it. For example, people with 20K Bitcoin sell orders that never got filled because of all the sells stacked in the high 19K area. This time it was the low 3K zone that had tons of buy orders. The reason for this is everyone will be trying to catch a potential big move. Everyone wants to get their order filled. This is why I made my last small purchase at 3.3K.

You make this post some weeks ago and that has become the reality of the market.  Bitcoin is currently below $4,000, the level that in my wildest dreams I never thing it will be but that is the reality of were it is currently. 
The hardfork of bitcoin cash has really affected the market and that is why even bitcoin cash was below $80 yesterday and I did not see it recover soonest.  Investment is however a game and you should be able to accept whichever way it turned to. I could remember that many speculators are even saying that bitcoin is going down below $3000 and some are even saying this is the end of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin in particular.

If 3.1k was the bottom next step is logically 5-6k. From 3.7k to 5k would be 38%. If 3.1k was not the bottom and it’s even lower. To like idk 2k that would be from -45% from 3.7k. So I would says it’s about a 70% chance to go up. 5% chance to go sideways. And 25% chance to go below 3.1k.

A good price to start investing before recovery happens. We start to move forward and the price is somewhat in the way into $4k which already big recovery happen. If you buy BTC  at $3.2k, then you'll already have a profit right now.

that's exactly what worries me now, if a lot of people buy at a price of $3.2k before, then they must be prepared to sell it
and maybe it will make prices go down again, maybe there will be more obstacles before the price reaches $4k

Could be we run past that number because of a large amount of short orders on leverage who dont represent proper volume just speculation.   The shorts will get closed out and then the market finds the hardest wall it can to crash into as a test of direction, quite possibly we go up past this soft number/round number make the shorts sad and then back down to test support below

Here is us losing the 8 day momentum on pricing, I'm bullish above 3750 and that would be 4000 to 42000 I guess

well, for now, of course many are thinking positively about the price of bitcoin. it is possible that the price of bitcoin will exceed the price of $ 4000. well, if it happens this month, it will create optimism for every crypto businessman.

Indeed, if you think positively, the miracle will happen, so it's better to think positively because the demand for bitcoin in the market is unexpected. Looking at the market today is indeed good and shows improvement and seems to still have hopes of going over $ 4000.

Before the value of the bitcoin decrease at that price and last week ago the value became $3000 and now it will turm back again to $4000 and it will continue pumping the value again and as soon as possible this week it will become $5000 each bitcoin.

Its good to see the value of BTC now as the value has moved upto $1000 nearly this week, I wish it should go for few more weeks as a lot of investors will gain trust again. I hope a surprise is there for the investors for new year, let's see how it goes.

Anything can happen in the market.Bitcoin is very volatile so we cannot predict what will happen the next moment.Bitcoin in 2017 was almost $20000.Now you can see that what is the value of bitcoin.The price of bitcoin depends on a number of factors like the demand and supply forces,how much investment is done etc.Due to this reason people find it very risky to operate.But it has the potential to rise and create new records.It is the money making machine.

Bitcoin has a value of 4000 $ is a good thing, we have tried to be able to survive and not want the bitcoin to go down again, but if the market says otherwise the bitcoin community will maintain and try to take investor confidence back.

Don't you worry it looks like we have a strong support at $3800-$4000 so I don't think that we can go down anymore and it seems we have touch the bottom at $3100-$3200. I'm sure that we can caught the tail end of the bear cycle and we're on the road for recovery in 2019-2020 and who knows, we might see another ATH so just be patience because crypto investment is a journey, AFAIK.
