yep that marketcap reduction is definetely good in long term but I mean LONG term. it means there are gonna be long tough times for hodlers. They have to hold their huge bags for a year at least

Holders always win some expert says..but in this market situation what we have? Keep hodl? I think 40 percent holder is cutting lose right now..

The first rule in cryptocurrency trading and investing is never to panic.  The cryptocurrency is volatile and there will be surprises.  The best position you could take in cryptocurrency as participants is to follow the idea behind a coin,  not the price!

If we are speculating the price based on what it did in 2014, i believe there will be no significant movement in a few months later.
but, everything is possible.
lately we heard a good news about Bitcoin ETF from Switzerland, might be it could help our market and trigger other countries to do the same thing.
just like japan did a few years ago, of course it needs a time to do that.

Actually there are some positive news about crypto currencies in the recent days but they were not spreading as much as the negative news so the price continue to fall always.If you want to save yourself from loss you need to save the market as by you can like spreading positive news or by holding your coins other than selling it and buy later.

I think that it is not necessary to panic. you just have to wait a bit when the market starts to recover, it will start soon

You may want that type of news but what's the sense if you are only thinking about that which isn't going into reality. About the ETF? can you just move on and don't overhype it. The hype for that thing was already done and the other hype for Bakkt which is about to come on December has been delayed.

This situation always happens all the time, when there is a dump, I am very optimistic that a pump will occur. We all just need to wait and when we are successful in being patient it is very likely that we will get satisfactory results. Investing requires courage and for anyone who does not have the courage to take risks he will get nothing.

I have been thinking about the market situation, I think there are many things some of these projects can do by start offering people part of the company instead of just these useless tokens that have no usecase, this could stop the dump in the token price because you see more than the present market situation but a big company in making. I know most of these projects are relying on BTC and Ethereum prices to pick so has for them to regain their value but I can tell you most of these projects are not coming back, we need to learn from history

if we look at the previous year it was true that when the market conditions were checking, a pump would occur which would occur afterwards, but all of that would still not happen because in cryptocurrency nobody would know in the future.

Agree more smaller market cap,more room for future growth.But imagine if you bought for example ETH when it was 1k USD and now it will fall to 50 USD and then if it will sometime rise to 500 USD somebody can make 10x profit on it but you will be still in 50% loss.

Its is normal for the market to lose 90% before a massive bounce back, just look at the figures from before and you will see the same thing over and over again. The next one is going to be so massive that anyone buying now is going to be super rich by hodling a few years

If you expect a huge pump based on news then this market isnt fully based on products development but news puming and dumping.

This is true that whenever you are investing in the time of small market cap in the crash market, actually you were doing a great job and a wise thinking. So, it is very sure if not in the near future but it is mandatory one day market will recover and enter into the high market cap. Then you will become millionaire in any time. So, panic is not necessary now just create more portfolio of your cryptocurrency.

The market is bearish and the trend is persisting.  I will continue to hold and trade down or up as the case may be.  I think the market could turn for good and when you have good plan,  there will be success.

Investors have been waiting for almost a year withholding their coins for buying them at a decent price. But the market still is in the same condition and it can be because it is a volatile market. According to my logic investors should not be panic but keep patience for a little while.

Like I've said countless times already, hodlers are usually the worst hit when the market nosedives forcing them to hodl even further, which therefore makes the incentive of hodling almost useless. But overall, a small marketcap is usually a recipe for a big jump, so in the end it's profitable for some and yet bad for some too.

When the market crashes there are many opportunities to make money, that is true, but most of those opportunities come with a price and I'm not talking about money, most of the time the price that you will need to pay for getting amazing prices is that you will need to wait for a long time before you recover your investment, that is not a problem if you know from the beginning that is going to be the case but if you think you're going to recover your money in a matter of weeks then you are not going to be able to take advantage of the opportunities in the market.

If you wanna see news like "Facebook will run their own exchange", you just need to go to sleep then it'll happen in your dream. It'll never happen in real life for sure, of course Facebook is very interested in cryptocurrency but the real thing they interested in is blockchain technology so I don't think they'll take any action to run their own cryptocurrency or their own exchange :)). Agree here. Let us remember that throughout January to November, we have seen countless threads telling us WOW everything is oversold. Everything is totally hit the absolute floor. Market is so extremely sold it will bounce back. And marketcap will explode for ABCDE coins.

Panic is understandable with such huge price drops. This is the behavior of markets where the investment risk is very high. Always in such situations, try to stay calm, because sooner or later the price will start to grow, and then we can regret decisions taken in panic.

It's happening before so we should learn our mistakes from the past if we like to change something in the future. So HODL is the only key to succeed in this bearish market. Don't get affected with the FUD as long as you control your emotion no one can change your decision to HODL and this is the only way to avoid of losing.

That's exactly what I meant. Such huge price drops probably surprised everyone. I did not expect the ETH price to drop below $300 and today we have $120  :o :o  I strongly believe that it will not be worse anymore and now the price will only increase. But even if it fell even more, I will definitely not sell anything.

Panic problems can't be avoided because some of us can't carry their emotions. Coins are just behaving of what's supposed to be their character and some people really tend to be hooked. Definitely, only those who have strong faith of holding can survive with this such kind of phenomenon and it will took years before they can earn their efforts.

We've all been there when we are noobs at that time but now we should know what to do in times like this instead of being a noob again. This is outright gambling at this point. Small marketcap means that a single holder could flip the market to the bottom or the top. It means that there's no maturity and whatever price you buy to it's uncertain if you're going to lose everything or not.

Wasn't it always gambling when it comes to holding bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Well more like controlled gambling. When you are holding it for a short term, there is no way to predict what is going to happen to the price. You are taking risk when you are holding it. The case is totally different when holding it for long term. In the long term, the price will eventually rise (assuming no such havoc takes place that will bring down every crypto currencies). In other words, when it comes to short term holding, it is always like gambling.

ETF is now in January and I think we can decided to hold till then or sell now and buy when it is more low more than the current price.  There is no need to be panic about the current market situation,  what we all need now is to keep holding until there is a recovering again.
