Tom Lee a famous crypto-analyst predicted that bitcoin Maintains $15,000 by the end of 2018 Despite Market Crash. I am hoping that bitcoin will reach at least 10k$ by the end of this year because according to the previous price pump, bitcoin always started growth in End of any year.

What you guys predict the price of bitcoin by Year-End???

I disagree with him, if he said that by the end of next year we will reach the $15000? I would believe him, but for this year I think it is impossible...  we are in the $ 4500 and for $ 15000 we would need of a great increase. this is not something that is achieved from day to night, last year was possible because of the high optimism of many people, there was no pressure from governments and banks, people could buy cryptos very easily. the ICOs were getting a lot of money, it was clear that a lot of money came into the market very easily. But this year things have changed. I'm not an analyst and I'm not an expert, but I do not agree with this prediction.

Poor Tom Lee, he probably wish he would have sticked to his legacy market observations, which more often than not are pretty accurate.

He entered the market during the boom, and yeah, when crypto prices seem to go up endlessly it's hard to be wrong. I hope he takes the time to adjust his opinion based on the current situation, and not endlessly stick to his own logic that doesn't apply to crypto in any way right now.

There is no bad intent from his side, it's just that he's making a fool out of himself, which is pretty sad to see considering that this only works against him.

That's correct last year there was no pressure from most of the governments but now they have very strict rules and regulations. So people do not want to take risk in their lives, these guys are fooling us by predicting wrong statements. We are on $4500 and still every day it is playing seesaw its beyond the logic. A lot of investors have lost hope in crypto trading and this downfall has to be stopped and pump very soon else anything can happen.

BTC to 15k by year end is a complete fantasy. We'll be lucky to see the price back at $6k by the end of the year instead of being around $3000. There's bullish and then there's just unrealistic. Bitcoin will reach 15k again but not in the next 1 month.

First he adjusted his projections from $25k around November 15 to $15k by December and this is largely because the market was showing signs of more weakness. These men just look for ways to stay relevant in the space by coming up with unrealistic price projections and the gullible believe them. Anyone who's been in this space for a while and follows how crypto assets move price wise will know the cryptos have a mind of their own and most times these projections never materialize. There are indicators of a price surge to $15k as we speak, the only hope was Bakkt, and that has been postponed to a date in January. How then is the $15k supposed to be achieved? I would have listened to him if he was referring to a date in 2019. But hey, let him keep fantasizing.

All these CNBC pumpers are good indicators of a bottom. When they get frustrated and just give up it would be a good bottom alarm. Like if Novogratz ragequited or something along the lines, it would be a great time to start buying.

The reality of the situation is that most likely we'll have one or two years of "bitcoin is dead" while smart money buys everything they can OTC. Demoralization of holders so TPTB can hoard all the market is at play, then BAKKT and ETF and so on will come and they will pump it to $300k, but before that happens there must be pain and this means most people will be weeded out.

This year is the year of crypto downfall, and when it reaches the end of the year the price of bitcoin will range between $ 3500 - $ 4000. I think the opportunity to rise will occur in 2019, and for this year I doubt it.

I don't think bitcoin can still reach the $15k value but since bitcoin is too volatile it can be possible "why not".
According to the article, Tom Lee reduce his prediction from $25k to $15k last Nov. 16m 2018 according to CNBC.

This is just an old prediction(past days ago) from him but right now after the large price dive, it's impossible that the price of bitcoin can hit the $15k again before the end of this year.

Even him, he doesn't know or sure if the price of bitcoin can hit to $15k again according to video.

15k sounds absurd looking at the current state of the market. Blatant manipulation from big whales to tank the price, bearish sentiment, no buying pressure from months, lack of interest fom the general public, and many other factors are preventing us from even reaching 10k this year, so how are we supposed to expect 15k next month? To reach the 6-figure numbers we would need massive amounts of capital to pump the prices to such levels, institutional money could help the market reach new highs, sure, but it won't happen right away (meaning not this year), so to expect 15k in december sounds a bit like a wishful thinking tbh.

Hm, I wonder if Tom Lee is trying to be bullish just to keep his clients (and potential clients) calm?, or maybe it's just to keep the weak hands calm and prevent them from panic selling.

Bitcoin has broken supports one after the other in just a span of 3 days. We came from $6400 to $4400. After this loss, reaching even $6400 back is a huge thing, forget about crossing $10k that also in just some 40 days. Breaking of such crucial supports means that sellers are overpowering the buyers, trend reversal doesn't happen in such scenarios.

I would not say it impossible though, but $15000 by the end of the year is really something high and we shouldn't expect it right now. As OP stated, I would rather tell/predict that $10k may be achieved by the end of 2018. The current market is still almost unpredictable. From the OP, you have indicated of a TA but the current dip wasn't expected or shown any TA, AFAIK. So, TA is kinda luck and it may barely happen.

A bold statement of a wise man but I think if this growth will be perhaps and immediately will the price drop , I think that growth should be smooth.

This year expectation is impossible to predict anyone so I think it will be maintain 6k to 7k USD in end of the year. Because current market is moving to backward so next month we should expect some hype so it will be balanced in last month value. Some unexpectable good news comes in future it will be going to moon and it will reach 15k USD also possible.

enough, I'm getting bored with pumps at the end of the year. now the price of bitcoin has gone down very far. there must be a price increase of more than 100% to reach the price of $ 10k, and that is not possible  ::)

I don't think in the december 2018 the price of the bitcoin will hit again 15k dollars maybe the only possible to happen is 10k dollars and even that it's not guranteed to happen. But we can do that we want because we are the buyer and the seller of the bitcoin.

9k is easily possible as it would just require couple of days to reach that if bitcoin rises like 2017. But we do require some push from the whales so that when big buying comes into picture things would start shaping up better as demand will rise and more and more people would like to buy to make money in this period.

The article is positive news I hope so too the current value is very concerning many people panicked to find the value of BTC a few days ago,if BTC runs a 10K pump at the end of this year surely but if all of them immediately take advantage I think it's difficult to think realistically this year.

I think this will be a little difficult, because for now, even the price of bitcoin is quite far from the price of $ 10000. however, we certainly hope that the bitcoin price will be higher at the end of this year, even though the possibility is small.

Everyone says a number, I can give out a number if you want, I think bitcoin will be a billion dollars in 2019 very easily. Does that make sense to you? Do you believe me when I say bitcoin will be one billion dollars in 2019? You don't believe me? Well why would you believe someone else? Don't believe in Tom Lee's of the world, don't believe in that telegram admin that once hit the price fall on the nose once, don't believe in that tradingview "guru" who made a chart that resembles what happens.

Just believe in yourself. If you think the price will do something, react to it, do not wait for confirmation, go with your gut feeling. Because after all what decides on the price is none of those dudes, it is the whale doing something we can never foresee before. Who would have thought miners would sell thousands of bitcoin in a day to fuel their war, no one did, and here we are.

I don't understand how this prediction is a big deal to anyone. I can't even take it seriously. Yes somehow no solid basis at the moment for that prediction to happened but we have our own way of understanding a certain prediction if it's worth to expect or not.

There is no person in the world that can predict what will be the bitcoin price at the end of year and obviously we all know that. Even people say a realistic price for let' say, price will be at a range of $5,000 to $7,000 by the end of the year, still it's a prediction.

Remember that majority of some speculations today are "BASED"on the current situation. There are lots of WHAT IF to considered.

Nah, all of these speculations are nothing there is no bull run and we are facing in a massive fall this year. This event happens before and might still continue until next year if nothing would happen in this crypto market we would all see a massive players who will sell their bitcoin because they were tired of waiting.

It is way better to accept that from time to time you make mistakes, I am not an expert in trading or in investing but it seems almost impossible that we are going to reach that price, there is no shame in making mistakes because we all make them even those that are very good at something make mistakes but if you do not admit your mistakes you cannot learn from them and that is a problem.

Aside from that, more and more people who suffers with big losses will also start selling as they can't wait any longer seeing this massive downfall still continuing, though hope are still there as Bitcoin can rise back maybe even not 15k$ just give some double from this current value will make holders some breathing.

As we can see bitcoin not reach 9000$ and it will be a bigger surprise if can reach 15000$ in December. I think bitcoin will not reach that value this year, but next year in Q1 2019 we can see that value and until then i will still hold and not sell for this price.

Well, never mind Tom Lee because he's one of the biggest bulltards out there. He made so many wrong predictions before and why bother now with what he was predicting again? The cryptocurrency market is unpredictable so very few people can predict the exact what will happen next.

Look on 24 November 2018 bitcoin was at 8k$ almost and by the mid of December 2017 bitcoin was at 16k$ which means there is a potential in bitcoin and we can expect anything from bitcoin anytime so by knowing this fact we should go with the prediction of Tom Lee. Some analyst predicted that bitcoin by December 2018 may fall to 3k$. Let see what will happen with the price of bitcoin in near future.

This may the strategy of price manipulator Isn't it? because we have seen such type of downfalls in the history of bitcoin and we all know that there are some group of investors who are controlling prices of altcoins and bitcoin. They invest in any coin and due to their huge investments small investors start buying that coin and when price pump they sell their coin. The U.S made a department to monitor the action of price manipulators let see what will gonna happen with bitcoin in the coming years.

Well, I am predicting 10k$ for year-end but the thing which I want to say here is that 15k$ is not impossible for bitcoin as we have seen its progress in 2017.


Currently, it is trading on 3800$ it seems a bit difficult to cross 15k$ but still hope for the best.

Nothing is impossible with bitcoin but if we will not see some positive trending before November end then it will be very hard to pass $10k before 2019.

Ahh, I think you must be saying 1.5k USD by the end of December 2018. BTC fundamentals are baseless they are just based on speculation and in speculation things like this happens.

As at now bitcoins is trading far below even 5000 USD , the possibility it might reach even 10,000 USD looks mirage and impossible. The sustainability of bitcoins seems to be missing and more traders are dumping it than never before.

If you are hodling in a loss then the best thing you can do now is hope that some miracle will happen by the end of the year. But if you are looking at the numbers you are expecting BTC to have at least 200% of price increase in just a little over a month which is probable but with the market conditions we are in let us be realistic. Like what I said earlier there is no harm in hoping because that is all what we want to achieve and that is selling Bitcoin at a gain. I too is hoping that someday BTC will once touch it's ATH and that possibility is not yet over for me.

Hopefully, that will happen, it will grow more than we expected. But I think 15k dollars is too much on this end of the year maybe 10k dollars will impossible to happen. Since the market is unpredictable we don't know yet the final speculations on the price. Analytically speaking, I will be happy even the price will reach at least 7k or 8k dollars range that is good enough, but if you invested the first quarter of this year you don't get satisfied on that price range.

Just cut one zero and the prediction will be more accurate.

If this happens I would be really happy because no one want to lose a huge amount as this is the last quarter, and market is really bad Now. The profit is nearly half from 2weeks, crypto songs continues in bear mode. Will hodl coins till the end of the year.

Many people believe that it could happen because as of now the price of bitcoin is around $3700 or something. I think $15000 price per bitcoin very good price so guys what you waiting for buy now so once it happen you can become instant millionaire. If I have more money I think I will invest in bitcoin and believe that it could happen.

there should be a huge buying rally in order to push the market up to that level but were only months away before the year end and it seems very impossible, I guess bitcoin will only hit between 5k to 6k dollars before the end of this year and the price will gradually start to gain an upward movement in the middle of 2019 hopefully up to the price near $15,000.

Bitcoin can go YOLO in 30 days but I don't see $15k happening.
$5k would be a good new year.
