Coin Distribution

A total 13,736,000,000 (distributed over the next 200 years) of City Coin was premined, of which all was donated to three (3) individual non-profit funds.
The amount of coins made as rewards from Proof-of-Stake, will over the course of 200 years, be 2,102,400,000 coins. 200 years is not the end-limit for staking rewards.

10,512,000 new coins are created through staking (POS) every year.

Short summary of the fund's/foundation's objectives:

• The City Chain Foundation is a non-profit organization that develops and maintains City Chain and the Smart City Platform.

Are you going to disclose your team members? This project should not be scared in showing their faces if they really want to implement the usage of their coin to their so-called Smart City located in Norwary. This is a great example of how blockchain changes the way of life of a particular community. But credibility is important to know if the project is running legit. So, if this project is for smart cities, which are not existed in the world at the moment and there are no any dates when at least one of them will be started, when your token will give profits to your investors.

This looks like a very cool project! The association with Liberstad, which is physical and real, gives this chain distinct qualities totally absent in the majority of projects. I will download and checkout the client. Where can I get coins? Is there a faucet of sorts to try it out and perhaps start staking?

Seems like the project is closely associated with both Liberstad and Liberland. Liberstad and a very real thing. Whether it will become a "smart city" is an open question, but the idea of placing their land registry etc on the blockchain is an easy first step.

Also, I cannot find that they did an ICO and therefore have any investors. Where can we even buy these coins?

Hi and thank you for the comment! City Chain will not only be for private cities, or even new cities, existing cities and communities can benefit as well. There are many services a citizen receive today in a city, and those are often services with cumbersome software and procedures. Additionally they are built on trust, without the ability to perform independent or personal verification and validation. We're also building solutions that will be valuable to merchants, small and large, around the globe.

It is based on the fantastic work done by everyone contributing to the Stratis Platform, with improvements and modifications done by us. We also contribute back to Stratis Platform as much as possible.

The valuation should be based on the circulating supply, and all the details on what is circulating will be published and communicated in an open manner.

The premine was 13,736,000,000, or 13.735 billions. It was not 13 trillions, as you commented.

City Chain Foundation, Private City Fund and the Incubator Fund will seed 1 year of what was donated to it every year for the next 200 years, and this will happen through a smart contract when the smart contract functionality is launched on the City Chain blockchain.

As an example, the City Chain Foundation which will continue the development of City Chain and the Smart City Platform, received a total of 2,747,200,000 (20%) of the premine, of which 13,736,000 (13.736 million CITY) will be made available into the circulating supply every year.

Either a dedicated section on the existing website, or another website, will contain all the economic data and information that is available on this, but not available at this moment. Donations are public information, and what the foundations are spending money on will largely be public information.

We're sorry you think this project is a scam. We have worked hard on this since August 2017, and we will continue to work hard on this project. It has been thus far been funded with own funding, resources and time, no ICO was made.

To close off the comment, approx 68,680,000 CITY will be added to the circulating supply each year, in addition to the Proof-of-Stake rewards to stakers. As CITY has only been released for 3 months, that means approx 22,894,000, which should give an approx evaluation of $2,747,280

So the current market cap of CITY, is less than 3 million dollars, which places it around #520 on Coinmarketcap.

The private city of Liberstad in Norway is expanding by purchasing a section of land which will connect the two sections they currently own.

This will allow for additional residents to build homes in the city. Plots of land will be available for purchase using City Coin in the coming weeks.
