2018 it is said that the year that the ICO took the throne, but besides it exposed a lot of negative aspects. With SEC and China trying to suppress ICOs, the STO has come as a safe choice.Do you think that in 2019, ICO will be replaced by STO?

Lol Another name for ICO.Can you tell me the differecens between STO and ICO? But this is not my first time to see someone that created a similar thread like this one. There was a lot of icos are trying to replece the word of ICO with TGE, STO and many more. But basically they are the same.  Just curious about the legal view of STO.

Regardless of the difference between the two, all investment both ICO and STO still have risks. Indeed STO is seen as safer and better than ICO, but scammers are also smarter and always look for opportunities or ways that they can carry out their actions to cheat in investments under the guise of ICO and STO.

For investors point of view i believe that STO is a better alternative to anomaly-prone project like ICO. STO is more secure as they are processed legally although it is time consuming as long as the investor's risk are minimal compared to ICOs where almost 80 percent of the ICO project were failed. Although it is still an ICO with a twist of legal matter and securities.

About 95% is not ICO. They release tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. Therefore it is correct to call it ITO. (Initial TOKEN offering)

You do not know why everyone uses the name ICO?

Because ICOs don't want to change themselves. They must become security and share profit, they can't take more than 2-3 million on ICO, not 20-30  like now.

I think I agree with you, the reason why all these names are popping up is because of the insincerity of most people behind the project, in STO can the developers be voted out and do they still have 100% control of the fund, when I joined the space there use to be an Escrow account when the ICO money stays and will be released  until the developers fulfill certain conditions all is out of water now and that is why we are see abuse in the space. The main thing is to stick to best practices the better for everyone involved

Well It seems that STO has the potential to replace ICO in the choice of large investors,by looking at the good point of securing well minimizing scam projects that often occur in the ICO.Seeing the arguments of friends here is also quite good at knowing STO to be a choice in the future.
