Hi guys,
I was reading this:

When you take decisions regarding Bitcoin, do you follow one's advice or you do investments as you wish?

the choice is in your hands to make a decision if indeed that you are participating in the investment now if you have to be patient in waiting for the price of bitcoin to stabilize again.

When you take decisions regarding Bitcoin, do you follow one's advice or you do investments as you wish?

The best way is always to do your research, and make your own decisions. That way, you have no one to blame but yourself if you ever lose some trades, if you make bad investments, or if you had bad buy entry points when investing in something. I personally almost never give advice either. If certain friends ask me if it's a good time to buy bitcoin, I always tell them to look at the charts themselves and decide. I definitely wouldn't want to be accountable if ever they make bad trades.

By the way, I definitely wouldn't take advantage from John McAfee. He openly shills coins/tokens for a certain price(a big price, that's for sure).

If you want to high risk high reward investment , crypto is the best option.
Remember that crypto still 8 years old and it's still young because I can see the future potential where anything will gone digital especially on transaction purpose.
Buy book and do some research to minimize loss and maximize profit !

The main thing is to have understanding in crypto, advice is only a consideration and in essence you also need to do research on what you will choose.

I'm simply a holder.  I don't try to day trade and I don't get emotional over price swings.  Holding is the the best thing for me because it is the most relaxing.  I'm not going to let the bumps along the road stress me out.  I keep everything secure in a hardware wallet as well so my exposure to theft is extremely limited.

I always prefer to listen to my own and decide based on my own research and intuition. John McAfee has become the prominent name in mainly ICO market and he is not an active advisor for any other mainstream cryptos.

I initially used to follow John's tweets for making ICO investment decision but the moment it was established that he is being paid for his tweets, I stopped looking at it, because they are clearly biased and can lead to a serious confusion.

I have come in connection with Bitcoin with my own search from internet, not influencing from others. I have decided to invest in Bitcoin with my own research not from others openion. Mcafee is a familiar figure in crypto, he is an influencer. Many people follow him but i am not at all.

I always follow only my own principles and knowledge when investing or trading on the stock exchange. There are a huge number of public and telegram channels that publish signals, but for all my experience they never brought profit. More damage, and loss of nerve cells. When you act out of your head, if you lose money, you can only blame yourself, not some anonymous uncle.

Therefore our success here is in our hand and would be depend on your decision as well. Though my best friend told me about this things
and I trusted him that's why I hose to learned here and to find out its potentiality.

I used to give advice in the past but  the market has made it difficult to advice people. The market is further shrinking professional advisors from reaching their goals with clients as surprises bumps up every now and then. For now it is difficult to advice newbies hence I advice myself all by myself.

Am very sure this is dependent on individualapproach of things. It is not realy bad idea to consult people and get their side of advice or opinion on bitcoin especially those who are expect in such area but to me i do plan and take action per my personal discretion without any third party after personally scrutinzing and looking at all posible angles of the opportunity it gives me.

Yes you are right, the real results are in everyone's hands, not someone else's hands, it all depends on their own thoughts, and if the decision to take action for investment, of course must bear the risk.

I don't trust anyone in doing my trades, especially deciding based on blindly following someone else. I might use their figures and estimates to use as a basis and create my own line but that's how far it goes. Also, John McAfee? He's known to ride the hype of some crypto and use it to create money easily. He does not really care about development; he cares about profits and his twitter feed tell just that.

Always trust your own instincts since it's the only way you'll learn the ropes of trading. Don't ever blindly follow someone as they might have other intentions in mind that could result into you losing money in the end.

influential, maybe not as expected, I think I only rely on his name to lift the hype from crypto that has passed and until now even though it seems that the crypto market is getting worse, he is still like that, not the type of person who can be trusted. I don't even think too much about people's advice in trading. Because when it goes wrong, no one can be blamed.

I think no one can advice you when it comes to bitcoin and even in other business. The only adviser and manager that you need when you are in this industry is yourself because all we know that we are prone in loss or in coin stealing. So the best thing to do is work and have a great strategy on your self. When you do this I think this is more clmfortable because we are already do what you know that what's good in your bitcoin business. And I think we can learn more or we will learn fast when we are doing thing on our own experience not in anyone's advie.

There will be no advice as i can read more news in many forum and website.
i can also watch videos for the currenct situation.
We should scale every situation and news in the society.
All the decision is in our hands and mind.

When I invest, I don’t listen to other people's advice. Investment is just my decision. I specifically avoid articles, videos and publications that advise me how to proceed. Moreover, I think it hurts when making an informed decision. That is why I independently evaluate the charts and news background, as well as reflect on the possible options for the turn of events, which are not spoken by everyone.
And if I make a mistake, then I will make the right conclusion, since this is my miscalculation.
If I followed the advice of someone and lost money, the only reasonable conclusion that could be made is not to trust someone else's opinion. But I wouldn't know exactly where I miscalculated and what I didn't correctly take into account, since the other person was doing this process (maybe he didn’t do it at all, but he simply invented something and advises everyone).

Someone who advice me is my friend about bitcoin on how to earn with it without  investing. That is good because form that I learn how to trade and how to analyze market movement for successful investment profit.

You should not be too sure about that. John McAfee will support anything if he gets paid for it. <or so they say> He is also a very bad role model, but decide for yourself.  --> Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee - 2016 ‧ Documentary on his life.

To answer your question, I would say I would rather listen to someone like Andreas Antonopoulos, because the guy is knowledgeable on anything Crypto related and he seems to be level headed with his observations and opinions.  ;)

I hardly trust those pieces of advice from websites and online consultants. They are sources I can not reach if anything goes wrong with my investment if I follow their advice. I am therefore resorted to following my own instincts. If am successful, my own praises and if I loose, my own risk. I only visit sites for updates but not advice.

I used to follow and listen John McAfee in last 3 years for the bitcoin and the altcoin picks but i have stopped to listen him in 2018 August. He made statement in June and gave 4 coins that would go higher and i did what he says. The coins were;

Docademic - The price were $0.25 and he said the price will be $2,5 now it is $0.02

Bitcoin Private - The price were $37 and he said the price will be $250 now it is $1,62

And there were several more coins and they all lost too..

So i can never believe anyone, anymore in this business!

My personal message harshly sums up everything I do when it comes up to taking advice on Bitcoin.
A successful experienced person will give you a good advice badge on his/her judgment, meaning it all depends on the person. But a lot of hardworking experience will give you your own judgment and it will depend on what you do that will matter a lot. Also, don't ever stay in 1 resource of advice. Be wise and calculate all the possibilities.

I think the most sounded advice here and the one I hear very often is "do not invest more than you are willing to lose" I have taken to heart that advice because sometimes you can get carried away by the FOMO or FUD and end up making bad decisions, such as investing your savings or some money you had previously earmarked for something.

Just because that article says he is the most influencial crypto trading figure as of the moment, you will believe it quickly. I believed him before because I was so gullible but it has changed now. It doesn't matter also if I agree or disagree with that.

And as for the decisions, I'm listening to whomever has something good to say but I won't decide base on what he said. I have my own way of determining my decisions though I may take some consideration with other people's advise.

don't rush into investing, read the latest news from sharing news sources so you know the best time to start investing so that in the future you get great results. my advice is careful when making decisions.

When you take decisions regarding Bitcoin, do you follow one's advice or you do investments as you wish?

Bitcoin is many things and one of those things is an investment and when it comes to your investments you need to take your decisions by yourself, that doesn't mean that you cannot take the opinions of some people into consideration but at the end you need to form your own opinion and make your own decisions based on the information that you have.

You better don't even take any advice and use your own hand to restructure your life yourself , it just a matter of time you need to get well equipped with some knowledge about the trading skill, and believe in your ability to do it and not depend on any one advice .

Lol. I don't take that guy seriously because he charges money shilling for coins. So that doesn't go along with what a influencer is, like Andreas Antonopoulos.

So I don't follow anyone's advise, actually I do read some predictions but it doesn't mean I will follow them by heart. At the end of the day you should make your own decision, just saying.

I don't follow another's advice but i followed his guidance about bitcoin. After that i make my own research about bitcoin market and think deeply. I think future world must dominate BTC as digital currency and leterate people also accepting this. Though in this time some panic is coming form crypto market as market is dull now. Very recently better days coming and there is no doubt as well as.

It's a combination of several things, first I follow several opinions and advisors, both on Twitter, this forum and Reddit too, then I analyze the information I got and try to draw my own conclusion, if it's something that pleases me I make my investment, but if I'm still not convinced then it means that the investment is not worth it and I leave it like that.

I agree  that it is a personal decision. But of course before doing it, I will make some research. There are many resources on the net, be educated. It is okay to listen those advise but buying it is a personal decision which whatever happens you cant blame anyone.

It is ok if we ask our friend or someone who is good at crypto, but it will be nicer if we can make our own decisition.

I only take my own advice but there are people who I respect and follow. Those people don't care about the price and remain very confident. Andreas Antonopoulos, Max Keiser are both great and I also like BitcoinMeister, who always makes me laugh.

Mostly I make my own decision though I am seeking for an advice to others still the decision is in my hands. Before making a decision in holding, selling, buying, trading and investing. I want to read more article about it, I want to read others point of view shared in this forum before making a decision. Its hard to make a decision without basis especially that crypto world is very risky.

It's not a bad idea to consult with other people and get their suggestions or opinions about bitcoin especially those who expect in the area but for me I plan and take action at my personal discretion without third parties after personally. Therefore our success here is in our hands and will depend on your decision too. Even though my friend told me about this matter and I believed it, that's why I studied here and found out its potential. watching and seeing all the perspectives of the opportunity gave me.

Personally, before making a decision we need a piece of advice of other users. We need it to have a basis before we decide something, because Crypto world is so risky so that we need to read, research or seek for an advice before anything else. We can not do something without a concern with other people. Its hard to make a decision by yourself because we knew that it is very disappointing once we lose some of our money because of a wrong decision. However, even though we are looking for some advises still at the end of the day we are the only person who will decide what we are going to do.

Right. We will never be as good as them if we keep on leaning to them.Atleast we should try to make our own research and learn from it so that we will move based on our own decisions, and not from someone else's.So that if we fail in the end,we have no one to blame but only ourselves. But of course we should learn from our own mistakes and be better the next time around.

I take advice from people like me, Bitcoin bulls. I'm a fan of Trace Mayer. He's so confident that not many people can keep up the pace. Also, he's not afraid to bet money and back up his claims with real trades, unlike some enthusiasts. John Mcafee is one of those manipulators who say something at first and then squirm out of it. He's an example of someone who I wouldn't follow.

I think getting an opinion to the other people you have a doubt investing in crypto, if you continue studying and reading about when is the right opportunity to invest in cryptocurrency is during the price dips, but do not depend on the other people for your crypto investment just make your own decisions choosing what coin do you invest.

Honestly speaking I take those advice from expert but still have some part of me before I take decision. Not all the time I follow their advice, sometimes I follow what I think js right and just consult to expert if that decision was right or wrong. In fact we dont need others to decide even on our won we can do that but we must be careful and think of it many times before we do an action.

Personally, I am not following anyone for many days! I blindly follow my minds about bitcoin investing or trading! Holders have no choice except holding! Because they hold bitcoin from the beginning of this year to see a good price of it. But at this moment bitcoin price is far below than expectations! So, they must hold tight until the market grows up!

I think that it’s wrong to blindly follow someone’s advice no matter who he/she is. Those people who take someone’s advice are afraid of responsibility. They want to have a person that would be blamed if they lose money and it’s very convenient. I think if you are really interested in something you will learn everything you can about it.

i fully agree with that. even that person is so famous, you can't trust those pieces of advice. it's only you who can decide what you will gonna do with your bitcoin or any other altcoin. even if you blame them afterwards, it's only futile. because at the end of the day, it's your money which is at stake here. and nobody but you is responsible for that.

for me investment is in your own mind and in your hands and hearts so that it is not wrong for someone to be chosen as an advisor and I think it is better than the bottom of my heart than others

I mainly listen to those who knows what he/she is talking about. If theme is about cryptocurrencies i follow my trading plan and proven strategy. Trading decisions is tough for non professional traders. I dont accept the advice of guys who call themselves as "guru".
"guru" can be interpreted as a teacher. but that doesn't mean they have crypto skills, you're right I will listen to someone talk if they
know what they are talking about, if they give certain evidence what he said maybe I will trust him and start investing like what he said

Well, I do the same but I don't really "follow" the market's trend, I make a strategy or a plan based on what is happening in the market. If you can analyse the possible movements of the price, I think it will really give you a good profit in the future. Some of those news might also be a scam or a FUD so you really need to be careful, in the end, the Bitcoin price chart is still the safest source of information as an investor.

That depends on your understanding anyway, because no matter how good the advise of the community member here in the forum, if you don't feel to follow others advise you won't do it for sure. Meaning, your success here will also depend on your choice decision too. If you choose rightly of course you will reap the benefit of it.

you can have an advice to anyone.
It will give you more information to take.
But never believe them, make it as a fundamental and make your own studies and research.
At the end, all the decision will be on your self.

I believe in anyone's advice as long as it is positive, and can provide useful input, but beforehand I had to study it first, to find out the truth of his advice. So not advice from whom we should hear, but which advice's right, then that advice's what we must take.

It's good to know that all advice for investment is not always a certainty for profit.  These people are humans and must not always be right.  Take advice from them but take decision yourself so you can stand for your decision in case anything happens for the positive or negative to avoid blaming anyone for your predicament.

I agree that the decision is always on our hands but we still need the opinion of others before we take an action. There's so many of these so called "traders" who make a video "bitcoin has bottomed" and 2 days later bitcoin falls and they make a video "where's the bottom? 3000?" :D

I will choose the one who is almost years using bitcoin. Because they are the one who is proven and tested the system of bitcoin. They know how to handle things especially those moments that bitcoin is in critical situations. Like, low keys and high keys of bitcoin. They expertly know how to handle when it comes in that situation. When to invest and when to not.

I generally do not take anyone's advice, but I do consider them when making my decisions. It is always better to have some basis rather than just going in with gut feelings in my bag. So yeah, I do not ignore other's opinions coz many of them are still worth considering.
And that is the correct way of thinking, when it comes to investments I see many people just looking for a secret formula to make a lot of money, which is a very important reason of why there are many television shows that are all about what are the hottest stocks in the market right now but that is not the way to invest, you need to identify which asset is going to go up before that happens.

I never take in consideration if anyone says that they invested in any coin based on zodiac, the position of the stars or because they feel it in their gut. If you can back up your opinion with some statistics or fundamental analysis, I will gladly listen.

Advices is an option not an obligation so when you receive advices theres no need to do it right away, better do your own research and analyzation about when, where and why to buy so if things comes to worst you can only blame yourself.
And dont ever forget that this is your money and you worked hard for that so better that the decision is from yours and nothing from others

We are talking about bitcoin here and not about bounty or altcoins/tokens , etc..    Anyway , that is still acceptable to take advice from friends especially if you already knew them because they can easily teach you about the mechanics on how cryptocurrency works  .

When we are going to invest in Bitcoin, of course we must know all the things that are related to the investment itself, not only the profit we have to know, but the risk we must also anticipate, therefore there is no mistake if we learn from who are experienced, but to do so all decisions are in the hands of the fund holder.

Follow your judgement, so that you will not regret and you will not blame anyone. It's good to hear others' suggestions/opinions but weigh them wisely. You study the market yourself. There are a lot of tools available that can be useful. Start from the basic, from the history of bitcoin to its previous and present charts. This way, you can understand it better and can make it work to your advantage. Remember: at the end of the day, it's you who will benefit or suffer from your gains or losses, so don't put this important decision in others' hands.

yes it is indeed a wise way, by asking for and hearing opinions from other people who are more knowledgeable and experienced, because then we have more options to make decisions, because if we only take the initiative themselves sometimes it tends to be wild lust that does not controlled, so that we cannot be wise in making decisions.

I always rely on myself but there's so many great people in the Bitcoin community that when I'm in doubt I go to youtube and listen to some of the well known Bitcoin bulls. Not the TA guys, the people who are holders and used to be holders in 2011 because they knew how this invention will change the world. One of the great comparisons is that none of us had a chance to invest in the Internet in the early 70s and 80s. Bitcoin is this opportunity all over again.

Of a truth there are informations that do affects our investments decision and most of those informations do come inform of advice from friends and those we meet online.  I could remember how a friend advice me to by ripple when it was around $2 early this year and now my investment is currently at loses.  Trading and bitcoin investments is game and I think one should develop its skills and knowledge on how to go about it before investing.  Those that lose money are those that invested through someone advice.

I am not relying to the advice of some people when it comes to bitcoin. I keep researching and studying and I rely to the information that I got.
Exactly.I guess that's still the best thing to do.We should not stop from learning in bitcoin because everyday there are new things that will arise. So in times when we have doubts what decisions to make,i'll just make a long study and sometimes i also asks some of my closest friends who are legends of bitcoin.I know in the end i just have to rely in my self.

Hi guys,
I was reading this:

today and i was interested if you agree with the article?
When you take decisions regarding Bitcoin, do you follow one's advice or you do investments as you wish?

Advice is good for us, as long we can obtain the advice from a trusted resource but i never blindly follow their advice.
Aside from advice, we need to do our own due diligence when we are involving in cryptocurrency.
Our money, our responsibility. So we need to take caution when we want to investing on some coins.

Absolutely! We can seek advice from the influencers or experts but at the end of the day our biggest competitor here is not our co-bitcoiners, it's ourselves. Our attitude would really tell how productive, committed, and serious we are in taking the task responsibly. We need to do our part and not to depend much on others as they are also busy doing their own ways. Nobody can help and save us but ourselves. Helping each other towards success is good but sometimes we also need to be independent and learn from bad and good experiences, from our failures because in that way it could help us become wiser, braver, and stronger.

For me the decision is depends on us and I think it's hard to trust other to do something it comes to your investment.  So its important that you are the one who knows and manage to your investment.
- Of course, I do not see any reason to trust others in our investment decisions, even if they are an acquaintance, a trusted person because the loss and profit in investment are ours, every decision we make can lead to different results. And with such important issues, we can not trust advice or any news from others, they are not responsible for this investment, they do not lose money or pressure while we are the opposite, we can be the loser and receive great pressure, so we need to be absolutely careful, analyze every problem, we can not subjective or believe in others

Some of my friend are known about bitcoin i heard that someone invest in it then earn a lot of money and change there life, but im not believ on it because idont know them if its true or just making story. I just believ on it when my brother buy a house and the reason is bitcoin. Thats now im hoping that someday ican buy my own too from the sake of bitcoin.
I take those advice that comes from my friend who was the reason why I knew and have bitcoin. Since they are the one who invited me here, and I see in their life the benefit that bitcoin gives to them. I believe that their advice was pretty much better than the advice that I get from the forum because some advice that I saw in the forum lead me before to lose my money.

The crypto market is growing at an exponential rate. New coins are rising above ground almost every day. In such a scenario, it is imperative that you check the top sources and then make a decision. Making such investments on a whim would be a mistake. So yes, I do think it is important to check your most trusted sources before you invest.

The thing is we don't all have the same level of skill when it comes to handling investments. What works for your brother may not work for you. You have to find your own feel of the market though it's always useful to get assistsnce from people who've been there. Both successful and those that lost.

When I make decisions about bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, it does not matter whether I buy or sell, I am always guided only by personal knowledge and most importantly personal experience. The network is a lot of people advising to do one way or another, but none of them will be able to give you accurate information about the next steps.

Regardless of how many advise they have on you, you are still the one responsible in making decision but it also good to take a look on what they shared specially those whoa re expert on this field and one who has many experiences on it. taking heed on their advise also give you a chance to warn whenever there is scam.

I will try to be more polite and say that it is not right to listen to all these prognoses. Even the best so-called crypto specialists make mistakes regularly. Trust yourself only.

Personally, I no longer believe any experts and their predictions, since I understand that no one can predict how events will develop further in the cryptocurrency market and what the price of Bitcoin or any other coin will be. But it is obvious that now is the right time to buy Bitcoin, because the price has dropped very low.

There is no better advise than the very one you give to yourself so you have no one to blame for your misfortunes as an investor you should be able you make you own research and analysis yourself and make better choices

Before taking advise from people first go do research know what you have invested in then add up with other peoples experience then make your decisions the way you would not get panic in the future.
Absolutely! You can have the final decision but try to weigh things out, never ignore the pieces of advise you received from influencers as you can learn a lot from them. You should learn to filter which you find interesting and applicable or not. Moreover, don't depend much on others, be adaptable and independent. Be strategic, find your own strategies because not all strategies that work for others will also work for you. Aside from taking their advise you should be able to do your own part in learning new things and in exploring for more creative ideas, because at the end of the day, everything you learn and all your hardwork will be rewarded and will be paid off, it will never be taken away from you. Learn not for compliance but for life.

The main thing is to have understanding in crypto, advice is only a consideration and in essence you also need to do research on what you will choose.
Is best to understand crypto before taken anyother person advice ,either been an analyst or expert so that you can understand the advice that is given to you.

I did not hear the advice of others when making decisions for Bitcoin.. instead, I don't like hearing the advice of others, but with the current market conditions I feel that anyone's opinion has no effect. but sometimes I make opinions in groups trading on WhatsApp and telegram as a benchmark too.

I just read some news but the decision will be mine well it's my money and investment so if i take others advice and it goes wrong i will totally blame that person. So the best thing is to make own research follow what your instinct says and if anything goes wrong you don't have to blame anyone but yourself.

I this crypto space I don't see any one special to take their advice serious like that cause every one has their way of doing things and saying what they feel or know doesn't say I must follow their way, so I believe in researching myself and follow my mind in any way and if I loss or gain I can know where the mistake is from or think more to make it right but following all these prediction that are not that useful is just a waste of time and making you weak as well as you will majorly will not be abke to take decision on your own which is bad for any crypto enthusiast.

Not many people around who understand  about bitcoin, so I just read articles and look at the trend. I have benn here since long time ago and I have learned many thing about the market. Bitcoin it self is very depends on the sentiments. When market look at bitcoin in the positive way then then price will rise because the hype will influence peiple to make decisions about buy bitcoin. There are some website in indonesian language that I thrust so I follow it. Many FUD that spread sometimes it's hard to know which one is the thrusted one.  Sometime I also got some advice from my family.

For me, i don't agree with just one person's advise. I'd rather take the advice of the majority or the experts. But with this article, its just comparing one person to other's point of view. And its kind of regretful thing when you follow ones advise then you just knew then that its wrong. So, better to follow self advise.

I prefer to decide on my own what to do with my finances: how and in what to invest them. Many major analysts announce certain forecasts specifically in order to confuse people and get profit from it. This, of course, is my subjective opinion, but I adhere to this position.

It is better and not to take the advice of only one person when it comes to bitcoin because there are many influential factors today that have a major impact on Bitcoin like the international trend toward adoption, the development of the blockchain technology and the regulation. However, you should depend on your reading of the current status of the market of bitcoin depending on the new and old charts and make a comparison.

I just follow my instincts though I also consider things that has been brought up by someone. I know that the system has some difficult aspects especially in its technical aspects but when it comes to trading and decision making, it is me, myself and I decides about the matter so that there could be no regrets in the negative consequences that will going to happen.

If you want to high risk high reward investment , crypto is the best option.
Remember that crypto still 8 years old and it's still young because I can see the future potential where anything will gone digital especially on transaction purpose.

I don't recommend following other people's advice, unless they've also invested in the coin that they are recommending, when it comes to investment, it's every one for himself set up a criteria find out everything about the project, do your own assignment, and not others let you do it for yourself.

Who he is this McAfee? In the news about the crypto currency, his statements and news are always taken lightly. For me, he has no authority in the decision to invest in cryptocurrencies. I'm used to trust myself and rely on the opinions of real analysts. If you want to trust someone with your funds for investment, then do it wisely. Find the company where your Deposit will be insured.

Asking others opinion is a good idea specially to those who have already experience  because they can give you some advice on what to do but the last decisions is yours. Youll be the one to decide rather to hold or invest.
