So is it an ETH based token or a standalone new blockchain?
any ICO or fair mining/staking launch?

So far the plan is having the token on another platform like ETH, but could be NEO/NEM/something else. This also might be a short-term step towards a standalone blockchain

The current token distribution has 30% allocated to sales  - and 35% towards mining

The whitepaper has the distribution and proceeds laid out on pages 19,20,21

A great find for me ...I would like to ask if there]s a product testing already? Would like to know the development progress on their prototypes.

I don't see sales of tokens on the main website of Marlin Protocol - >> https://www.marlin.pro/.
With a team of developers who are experienced at Microsoft for 2 Patetnts, will this project make a difference in the Game industry?

Great question! The answer is a definite yes. Right now, most gamers dont use dedicated relays and suffer from lag and jitter

Check out this article that discusses the issues of lag and features Marlin!

What will be the business model of Marlin protocol? Is it B2B or B2C? What will be its focus?

What is the role of the token in the ecosystem? Why it is necessary to integrate a token in this project? You can speed up dApps & blockchains without token.

The problem that needs to be solved is capacity. Projects like TOR suffer from a lack of capacity growth, because these are volunteer projects with little incentive to contribute time and resources

By having a token, the system can reward contributions to the network. The larger the network, the more reliable the network becomes. The hope is that the economics work out to constantly grow supply as demand ramps up

Hello Mr. Legendary,
I see this project not developing because seeing the website is just like an old paper tray and without any point for selling softcaps and Hardcap.
Even the announcement is also only one sheet on the Bitcointalk forum. LOL

Is this coin for sale or specifically for mining?

Regards
Simss

If we measure the quality of a project by how many sheets it has on BTT, we are all in trouble LOL.

There is no bounty and no airdrop - so that should explain the lack of huge sheet numbers

The team is fully focused on development. The ANN is meant to be a place to ask questions about the techniques we use for scaling, privacy, and uptime reliability.

You can also reach out to see how you can get more involved in development, but we are not discussing any public sales at the moment.

The telegram is also pretty busy, you might be better served going there for rapid answers

I read your one pager brochure, there is one thing that catch my attention is the unrevealed advisor you have in your team.

Upon reading some articles in medium regarding the project I found this new article featuring Marlin reveals that a new member of advisory board has just joined.

-"Contributors to the project include PhDs from Stanford and MIT while rumours have it that the former CEO of Bittorrent has recently joined their advisory board. " as qouted from the article.

Can anyone from Marlin confirm the rumor advisor in your brochure could be the former CEO of Bittorent in this article? I'll appreciate it a lot if this will be clarified.

Here's the medium link

CEO of Bittorrent as an advisor? Can anyone from the team confirm this? Ethan Fast from NEX is one of the top-tier advisor (so far), if this is going to be true then this must be an additional achievement for Marlin Team.  :o :o :o

I can confirm that Ethan Fast and the former CEO of Bittorrent are advisors

When you understand what we are building, you see how important it is to have these kinds of minds on our team. BitTorrent is one of the best examples and heaviest use cases for P2P networking

Marlin has released its staking economics.

Marlin has released its staking economics. POND, MPond and even Uniswap LP tokens will be eligible for delegations. Rewards in POND will be distributed immediately. Initial APR will be around 900% and is expected to settle between 30-60% depending on the scale of participation.
