FAQ

How much CoinDice costs?
1.1 BTC

What the price includes?
Script + support + future updates

I've heard you had problems with support, is it true?
Yes, in the past we didn't have a guy to do it, for more:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507515.msg10400100#msg10400100

What's included in support?
Installation of the script + database, resolving problems, answering your questions.

What's not included in support?
Installation of the wallet, custom modifications of the script.

How can I get the script?
Write a PM to Johny1976 at bitcointalk or buy on Cointoli (https://www.cointoli.com/?product=14)

How the purchase is made?
You send 1.1 BTC to a given adress and write us your e-mail. Once transaction reach 1 confirmation, we’ll send you the package.

Can I trust you?
It’s up to you. You can check our trust ratings or use escrow service :-).

Do you accept escrow?
Yes, if you pay escrow fees.

Can I pay via paypal?
Sure you can. Exchange rate BTC/USD will be used from coindesk.com to a given moment. Also you have to cover the Paypal fees.

Is code of script closed or encrypted?
No, it’s fully open and you can change there whatever you want.

Does it support every cryptocurrency?
Yes. You simply type its name during installation and the script will change itself.

How can I install the script?
Script has an auto installation which will guide you step by step and also HOW-TO file is included.

What do I need to have installed before the script itself?
Wallet of your chosen cryptocurrency and mysql database. You then use login information to your wallet and mysql database during installation so the script can connect to it and do everything for you.

Is it necessary to reinstall the script when upgrading to the newest version?
Yes, it is necessary to reinstall because of changes in the database system and new theme system structure.

Is it true people using this script someone creates admin and steals money?
In version 1.2, there was X-Frame-Options set to allow, so if you've been logged in and clicked on some weired link someone sent you, he could possibly misuse this option and create 2nd admin account.
This flaw had been removed in version 2.

Why do you keep creating new versions for minor bug updates. That's a big put off, you should update the version like 3.1 etc.

Thanks for feedback.

It's actually major updates there. It's not about minor bugs, but mainly about new features like 2-factor auth. and other security improvements, new design system and new skin.

Script works only for crypto-currencies.

You can use PayPal as payment, read FAQ please.

Yes, the script supports only daemon wallet. It might not be installed right on the same server, you can use remote connection. But it has to be normal crypto wallet.

Anyway we'll secure your server (as it's the part of installation support) if you decide to buy.

Just an FYI; You're going to hit hot waters if you try to accept PayPal for a gambling site.

Also an option to allow manual withdrawals, so the admin has to accept the withdraws in case anyone cheats.

Add a F.A.Q:

Open index.php find:

Code:
<a href="#" onclick="javascript:return account();">ACCOUNT</a>

and add below it:

Code:
<a href="#" onclick="javascript:return faq();">F.A.Q</a>

Open up /js/includer.php and find:

Code:
        type:"info",
        opacity:0.8,
        buttons: [{ value: "Close" }],
      });
      return false;
    }

and add below it:

Code:
function faq() {
      $.msgBox({
        title:"Frequently Asked Questions",
        content:"<div id='faircon'><br>1. <b>What is the house edge? </b><br>The house edge is only 2%. We deduct 2% from your multiplier <br><Br>2. <b>Can I play as soon as I deposit?</b> <br>Yes, we accept 0 confirmation deposits. Your deposit will appear as your balance within several seconds. <br><Br>3. <b>How long will it take to receieve my cashout</b><br>Cashouts are instant in most cases. However, please keep in mind your initial deposit has to reach 1 confirmation before it will be sent. <br/><br/>4. <b>What is Provably Fair?</b><br/>Provably Fair is a unique sha256 hash to prove each and every bet made on our website is 100% legit. <br/><Br/> 5. <b>What does the \"High Roller\" tab represent?</b><br/>This tab acts as a filter between smaller bets and larger risks for your viewing entertainment. Be sure to check out this tab to see all the recent big bets!  </div>",
        type:"info",
        opacity:0.8,
        buttons: [{ value: "Close" }],
      });
      return false;
    }

That's for anyone who wants to add a F.A.Q to their site.

That's for anyone who wants to add a F.A.Q to their site.

Thanks for the HOW-TO for users who wants to add F.A.Q.

Just for clarification, don't use <div id='faircon'>  as it is the identificator div for other purpose. change ID "faircon" to something else, e.g. "faqid"

Notice:

When installing the demo servers we did not delete the install/ directories and of course some "big hacker" re-installed the script with his data and now he feels like a big boss.

So the scripts has been re-installed again and install/ directories has been deleted this time. :D

We apologize for confusion and thank CrashX for the notice.

Why did you delete my post?

Your actions, pretty much killed my trust, I was letting you know that you had an issue on the site.

So instead of saying that you forgot to delete the install folder, and it was honest mistake, you decided to delete it.

Here are some things I would like to have changed:

1. Minimum and maximum bets
2. REAL player accounts based on email address and password.
3. There are display issues in FF when currency is 4 letters (DOGE/DIME, etc)

In that order.

Also, in 2.0 your check_deposits script run in corn every minute and takes way longer than 1 minute to run completely through with anyone with a semi-decent player list. Does 3.0 fix this issue?

How hard is to change the design? template?

Also you said it needs a wallet? Which one do you recommend and why?

Also notice that demo runs a bit slow, will this be a problem?

1) It's clean css work, so you'll need just some basic coding.

2) it must be original wallet of the coin you're going to implement (daemon)

3) That's due to our server, we feels that it's not necessary to run the demos on better performanced server as far as it's enough for the demo purposes.

Do you have the url for the daemon?

I would agree with that. Shared server may work - depends on host.

What coin? Every coin has its own daemon.

It depends. It will work 100% on VPS, but on some shared servers it works and on other it does not so it depends on what your provider permit you to do.

Do you have any other questions?

I don't understand.. You told that guy his code he submitted was a way to fix the double deposit error, but you guys corrected it a different way.... But in fact the coindice 3.0 check_deposit script clearly has his way implemented in it.

Code:

 *  Please do not copy or redistribute.
 *  More licences we sell, more products we develop in the future.

    break;
  }
  if (

This is a patch for double deposit bug. Johny said his script is bugs free. No it is not.

/var/www/content/cron/check_deposits.php

Code:
     if ($delExed==true) {
+        if (mysql_query("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM transactions WHERE txid = '$dp[txid]'") >= 1) {
+          echo "TXID already exists!";
+        }
+       else {
        mysql_query("UPDATE `players` SET `balance`=TRUNCATE(ROUND((`balance`+$received),9),8) WHERE `id`=$dp[player_id] LIMIT 1");
        mysql_query("INSERT INTO `transactions` (`player_id`,`amount`,`txid`) VALUES ($dp[player_id],$dp[amount],'$dp[txid]')");
+        }

The fact that we have not used your fix does not mean that we haven't solved it other way.

The script is secure even without this edit. Smiley

Thanks for suggestion, we'll consider it. Currently you can only change the fee percentage.

This issue has been fixed in previous versions.

Have you fully solved the double deposit problem?

Whats involved in creating a wallet for the script (do I need to download the whole blockchain or something)?

thanks

hi

I did not use during installation wallet and I use the

But I have a few questions
After each user is stored in a cookie in his browser

Assigned to the user's wallet disposable
Is it something that should be fixed for each user in a bag? And wallets can not change the user?

How DEPOSIT is performed without the need for instant Confirmations will be added to the user account?

But WITHDRAW need to be a 1 Confirmations

Thanks

Hi,

Deposit also needs 1 confirmation to appear in user account.

It should not be problem with the blockchain wallet json api - users are only communicating with database, so no edit needed. Only thing to change is CRON check_deposits.php + ajax withdraw.php. this files is comminicating with wallet.

I want to comment on one of the trust ratings on johny1976's account. This one to be exact:
Quote
reselling scripts doesnt make me a scammer, your scripts are open source correct?
Open Source Software is not freeware and buying Open Source Software doesn't mean you can resell it. It all depends on the license used. I sold my Open Source faucet under the GPL v3 license. Which means that I am allowed to sell it, that people are allowed to change it and even resell it. They are not allowed to change the copyright part and it had to be redistributed using the same license. That being said, you could be a scammer if johny1976's license states that you can't resell it/if he sold you a single person license.

Johny1976, you seems like a legit guy in my opinion and I wish you all the best ;)

If Johny's software license says that no one can resell his software then his software is NOT Open Source software.  And not being open source is perfectly fine if that is what his license needs to be.  But don't go telling people you can't sell or repurpose open source software.  One of the only restrictions an open source can hold over down-the-line receivers of the code is that your copyright must be left (which is why in bitcoin code of forked coins you see multiple copyrights listed).

Now, anyone who take's Johny's script and says that they wrote it and removes all of Johny's name from the files and pretends that they wrote it is violating the open source license.  But if Johny says his license is open source, I'm free to improve on it and make my code available and even give it away.  That is the heart of open source.  If you don't like that then don't license your code under an open source license.

A side note... I had no idea Johny had open sourced his code, so I'm not sure if all of this is a moot point or not.

Can I sell Open Source programs? Even if I haven't written it?
Yes, you can. But depending on the license, you probably can't stop your customers from selling it in the same manner as you. See the commercial use for more details.  (from opensource.org )

Can I restrict how people use an Open Source licensed program?
No. The freedom to use the program for any purpose is part of the Open Source Definition. Open source licenses do not discriminate against fields of endeavor. Note that nearly all Open Source licenses also state that there is no warranty: you can't sue if it blows up your computer or destroys your data, even if it was the program's fault. (Some companies may sell you a warranty separately, for a fee, but that is not part of the open source license, it's just your private contract with that company.) (from opensource.org)

UPDATE:  I heard back from Johny1976 that the code is NOT open source... but that the code is "open", meaning you can see and edit the code and its not obfuscated.  So this should put to rest the "open source" debate.  And Johny's code can restrict end users however he wants.

Thank you guys for your support! We've been creating this script for the community and for building bitcoin economy from scratch. However behaviour of some of you is just far behind the line. We've let script open (NOT OPEN SOURCE) so you check it and fix bugs if we've missed some. If we had closed the code, we wouldn't be able to let people customize the product. You can also report if you find one and we fix it asap but that negativity isn't helping either. If you want to resell our script, why don't you write us PM and discuss options instead of stealing and blaming us for everything?

This is the advanced bitcoin community? Leaders of the world? Fighting with each other?

We've been also considering make it open source but when we see gratitude of some of you, we just don't see a point in that.

So what do you think guys? What is your feedback for us? What are your tips? How does new economy looks like?

Imrer & Johny

This user is such a troll, look at his feedback and the feedback he leaves for others. He left me neg trust because I called out his scam... If it wasn't a scam he wouldn't have deleted his post and locked the thread for selling his faucet site  ::)

Johnny makes good scripts that work. Most of the scripts people report errors with are the people who by the nulled scripts or the stolen ones that likely have backdoors or viruses in. PD should take the mimicking as flattering... However I personally wouldn't buy it, simply because I can have a custom dice script built for less than OP's price.

Primedice source code is not public and available to everybody. Server-side scripts are never public and you can check that our client-side (public) scripts are completely different than primedice's scripts.

Please learn something about client/server model before making yourself a troll.

Everything in our script is originaly coded (we've been inspired in PrimeDice's design, anyway everybody can customize it).

0.04-0.05 a month? Itd take over a year. Lease = premium, not less. You would probably be looking at 0.20 a month

I agree with you and this is why are we releasing new updates everytime the bug is found. We also give a 100% refund of all your losted coins when your bankroll is emptied by someone else. It's kind of guarantee that we do believe in our product.

Thanks for you question!

Thanks, we're definitely do our best to make more scripts like this and improve the old ones.

Does it support multiple currency's?

It supports all currencies based on Bitcoin API standard but it does not support more currencies in one installation. Maybe we'll include this in the new versions.

Is there a way to connect it to a Blockchain wallet for example ?

PM is fine.

Then it would work only for Bitcoin. You have to host your own wallet, but it can be any coin wallet you want.

As I can see, u r using PHP-MySQL and probably AJAX for real time updates. Does not it experience hiccup for real time update at high volume bet in small time window ?

Well, for example pocketdice.io sends a PHPSESSID cookie, so it's safe to say they use PHP ( https://pocketdice.io/index.php works too ;)). Besides that, you can easily see the socket.io socket.

A socket is an open connection between the client (browser) and server with bidirectional communication. If you make a bet, you send the info through the socket (and you get the result) and if others bet you get the bets from there. So it's all real-time, you only connect once. There are different libraries/servers for this, Socket.io is a popular one made in node.js. Perfect for a dice site.

An alternative is indeed getting new data with AJAX requests. With that, the browser would make a connection/request every x seconds to see if there are new bets. Obviously for a dice site this would be pretty terrible and give big lag and other problems. However AJAX is useful for other purposes.

Thank you for your tip. However most VPS servers are configured for PHP only by default and we must to make do with what our possibilities are.

It's not the best solution to use AJAX requests to get bets history, but at this time we can say this is the easiest way for us to make it all work together and give our customers profitable casino that actually works and doesn't require loads of non-standard technologies.

Thanks for your response. I think u r indicating Node.js+socket.io is a non-standard technology (please correct me if I'm wrong). A lot of gambling site owners have shared their backend technology in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=792805.0). Would u like to share your development details in that thread which r successfully used by your clients ?

Yes, those technologies might be widely used by casinos operators, but not with scripts which are sold to customers because of standard VPS configurations... We may consider building new engine for our future scripts to easier work with the new technologies.

Website hosting is not enought, you need VPS. One of the best VPS providers is DigitalOcean.com

1) you send us 1.1 BTC and provide us your email
2) we send you script package
3) you give us access to your VPS (optional)
4) if we've got access to your VPS, we install everything so it's online and ready to profit

We can also use escrow of course

Please send me PM to proceed.

Support doesn't mean custom modifications. Your offer has the lowest importance so far because customers with support questions, not cooperation offers, are more important. Will answer to your email in few days.

I like the concept of crypto gaming sites being available to everyone to develop...but honestly...I have all three...the dice, the wheel and the Blackjack version....none of which were able to be installed...our former lead Dev was able to get the wheel and dice game operational after about 3 weeks...Im not faulting the design team per se but I think one thing that needs to be addressed for the entire "DIY gaming site" industry is having to rely on bitcoind instances running on shared/hosted servers...not all of us are running a private VPS server...as I said...we bought a copy of all 3 games...which now sit idle on a flash drive while we figure out a fix for the "Cannot connect to Wallet" issue
Maybe a possible upgrade would be a simple install script to get a instance of bitcoind running...Understand not all of us are "Devs" or Sysadmin's who know this backwards and forwards...so making it easier for the total N00b in the room other then that I think the software is workable....

We are aware of how bad we were at support so we've recently hired a guy who will take care of it and we can focus on our strenghts (developing).
Imrer and me have found out that we have bipolar. You may noticed our swings - sometimes we can solve everything really quickly and sometimes we can't get up from bed and focus on our work. That's the reason why we've hired stable guy who will take care of you guys when we are down.

About recent script issue:
You may noticed our demo site was working without problem but some people had problems with js or/and deposits. We've find out mistake was in installation script.
Atomdice - we've sent you new package, Oldschool - we've reinstalled the whole server.

We're currently focusing on new version with investment option.

Hope this cleared up some things! :)

I can confirm this.  It may have taken Johny a long time to resolve the issues but he did put in a tremendous amount of work and then when he had to reinstall the entire server he actually configured my altcoin as well, something I thought for sure I'd have to redo myself.  Everything seems to be working great on my end so far.  Thank you Johny!

*Note - If this gets deleted, I will start a new thread about these scripts

1 - Does your support guy take care of things by deleting anything remotely close to fair criticism?

2 - What does "we have found out that we have bipolar" exactly mean?  Did you both just get recently professionally assessed by a doctor?

3 - Will you finally develop the script in the nearby future where you can actually guarantee for more than just the selling price of 1BTC that it won't get hacked and have all the bankroll stolen?

I for one am rooting for a well polished and successful product being one of your customers, but having one of my posts deleted for absolutely no reason is starting to doubt the professionalism of your team.

Let's see how your 'stable' support manager handles this.

Atomdice - we've sent you new package, Oldschool - we've reinstalled the whole server.

We're currently focusing on new version with investment option.

Hope this cleared up some things! :)

We're sorry for deleting your post in our CoinJack thread, actually we did have a reason - we needed to reserve first post for FAQ and the only way to achieve this was to delete your post. It was only suggestion post, so we thought it won't cause any problems.

3 - The code is fully open, you don't have to trust us. Or do you suggest something better?

could we know who the new support guy is? and how to reach him if needed?

The person is not from Bitcointalk, it's local employee (czech republic guy). He has access to our account (here and on Cointoli) and takes care of support requests or/and bugs, so just leave us PM.

1 - Fair enough.

2 - I know exactly what Bipolar disorder is.  What makes you believe that you both have it?

3 - The code being fully open doesn't mean that we don't have to trust you.  I'm not at all worried about some possible backdoor as I don't believe you'd do that.  What I'm more concerned about is weak coding and security vulnerabilities.  Since there are several copies sold, I think that a 1BTC (refund only) if the script is busted is really an unfair guarantee as people who are actually serious about your product will have more than that 1BTC invested into the bankroll.

You should remove the tag of "new skin" from orange square skin. Its also quite old one. You should at least introduce new designs in the background at least. Just to make it look better.

People could use it to misuse older version of the script so we want to make sure all customers have newest version online.

The code sucks, I found a winning pattern that you can use to empty the shit out of the hot wallet, basically set the bot to raise 100% on lose and to reset on winning and you will hit the jackpot every cycle...

https://i.imgur.com/ZTztW3K.png

I did notice someone using it at night when everyone is sleeping and playing with small amounts so he doesn't bring attention, so I sent few coins and emptied the hot wallet of that site and sent the owner an email to tell him about the "hack", he will get all his coins back as well.

don't be a victim of this shitty code, these guys don't know what the fuck they are doing....or do they ?

Lol did you really just reference the martingale betting strategy as a hack?

There is nothing about that, that is a hack. Eventually the player will have a streak of losses and wipe, max profit ensures that.

You would have to edit the code. Now it works this way - user deposits currency, plays and withdraws it.

When you start a -qt, it will automatically generate the data on %appdata% navigate there, find Roaming and find CLAM. Make a file called CLAM.conf(names can be different) and insert RPCuser and RPCpass there, CoinDice will ask you for IP, User, Pass enter the necessary info there, you are done.

I just had a look and this is awful code. Why is it all ajax calls? Why you not using websockets?
With even a little load this will bog down. You need to at least have a websocket server for doing all the communications like betting.
Even the chat function is ajax calls. This is bad design!

For 1btc, I suppose there can't be too much expectation. But if you are going to do something, do it right!

Also, don't you think there is already enough dice sites? Why do we need more?

Please do so :) I'm interested in buying this, but I am hearing too many bad things about its code quality. I'd rather spend a lot of money for a good script than some for a bad script, because a bad script will result in total money waste.

It seems that the script isn't running properly.Maybe after you fix it there will be more buyers.I personally am interested in it but you have to sort things out first so I can be more assured that there won't be any problems.

That code is actually not obfuscated, it just appears so in browser. It's well-formatted in the source code of the script. That piece of javascript code was checked several times for bugs and non was found. Also it's a client-side script and it couldn't really compromise anything.

If anyone is interested in seeing non-obfuscated code, just send me a PM, I'll send you the source code for review.

Thank you guys very much for helping us out improving our product and making it safe to use. :)

thanks for the prompt answer. are you sure? Moneypot API allows as far as I know only atomic games and
BJ is not an atomic game. if you edit BJ to atomic it will not be BJ anymore. please correct me if I am wrong

All scripts are totally not secure. Possibly they are made that way so johny can steel your coins from any wallet you connect to these scripts.

I have the latest versions and all these games i have had my wallets emptied out.
