I see some time that happened to ETH, I see ETH is very difficult to rise at all, for example if BTC rises 5% but ETH only rises 2.5% while if prices drop, ETH falls further than BTC. Will the ETH Developer keep silent about this? because in my opinion, ETH is a good and well-known coin, this coin is used by many platforms and it's a shame if there is no new idea from the developer

The bear is still here and we hoping to see turn around soon as the situation is becoming a very alarming one and with patient and hope we are going to see new thing so let all hope for best and only the strong one will enjoy it when it comes back.

The development team is working on updating the idea they have but the implementation is lame. They have not released one update now planning another I don’t know why. If they do not release it in 2019, then the coin will have a terrible fall, I hope everything will be fine.

so the price drops as well as the ethereum is still in the downfall of the cryptocurrency market. this is affected because bitcoin breaks but again recession increases the need for patience.

ETH like every other coin out there is suffering from the same bears market condition. This is followed by scam projects who dumped so much ETH on exchanges for fiat forcing the price to crash as well. Except there's a major bull run, ETH I think will continue to nosedive

Yes, they are following bitcoin's footstep but all of their gains and losses are tentative. You don't have to blame and put some fingers to the ETH developers, they can't do something about the market unless they are going to manipulate the market and they can do that.

Eth is mainly used for smart contract and in this kind of market the supply will be way higher than the demand because most of the projects will sell their eth in order to secure the funding for the project. Bitcoin rise won't affect eth as there's different demand for both of them, the developer can't do anything about the price because it is entirely based on the supply and demand.

You are right about the price speculation and that is going to happen with most of the altcoins when bitcoin will start rising. But the developers do not control the prices and hence they cannot help the price of ethereum to rise when the whole market is plummeting.

For me, there's no need to worry because it's not just Ethereum that falls drastically, but the whole cryptocurrency market including Bitcoin. I think Ethereum's developer are looking for the best timing to implement the upgrades. The bearish market this year really made these coins to be on a downward trend. Hoping that recovery will happen early next year.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, eth has never been silent.
In fact, they are one of the most transparent organizations out there.
They have a ton of developments going on, mostly to address the scaling issues of eth and also stability in the network.
Just look up plasma cash, lightning protocol, and of course, the switch to pos.

The main reason why eth hasn't performed as well as btc is because the utility of eth itself has gone down.
The huge selling point of eth was that a vast amount of icos used it as the main way to invest in their ico.
With a bear market and now a crashing market, people just stay away from icos.
This has caused the demand for eth to fall, which , of course, will also cause the value of eth to fall as well.

Ether smart contract which gives power to ICOs are the coin that is most sell after ICO investors want to cash out so you don't suppose to see it going up the same way as bitcoin does, but when bitcoins goes down, it goes lower.

The Ethereum price is very much influenced by the Bitcoin price. And unless the price of Bitcoin is rising, it doesn't make sense to expect the price of Ethereum to rise. All positive expectations were postponed until January 2019.

How oddly coincided the hard fork of Bitcoin Cash, the delayed launch of BAKKT and Black Friday. Someone is manipulating the market. With this in mind, I think that cryptocurrencies from the Top 10, which will fall the hardest, then grow more. One of the leaders will be Ethereum, which will be able to regain a well-deserved second place in the crypto market.

As far as I know, the release of the update is planned for the end of January 2019, but I do not think that because of this the price will fall, most likely it will continue to fall in any case.

Just a question, what do you expect the developers of ethereum to do? They are in charge to improve ethereum, they are not in charge to make sure that people get profits out of their investments, that is the responsibility of everyone that invested in ethereum and if they cannot deal with that responsibility it is better for them to get out of the market.

Do you look through price in Bitcoin? Than it is even greater for you, because in $ you get 7.5% instead of 5%.

Developers are not responsible for price. They are responsible for technology. You and me are responsible for price.

Well said, it will be a very big shame if things are not done to correct this present mess the ETH is into because if care it not taken and things are not fine to properly address this, a whole lots of coins will be affected as many coin depend and have their platform built on the platform of the ethereum. Bitcoin is the king of  all cryptocurrency coin, therefore the present dip from BTC has an impact on ETH, Ethereum is sure a currency with good team, we can be sure of a price pump, when the general correction is over, ETH is a coin in demand by alll in the space.

Does this mean that ICOs are cashing out to fiat via ether? It make sense though because millions of ether if simultaneously cash out will bring it's price down and it will continue as ICO is continuing to accept ether in exchange of their token.

Actually nearly nothing happened to ethererum if you compare it to other currencies. I have been calculatin the price of neo aginst ethereum.last week you could buy nearly same amount of neo with this week.all of them did go down the same.

The falling of ETH down to below $100 is due to the downtrend of thw cryptocurrency market. Expect to rise when the market shift to bullish.

I think ETH is not the only Cryptocurrency which is affected by the current market situation, almost all of the altcoins are decreasing and it seems that the entire market is affected. If bitcoins price will increase again, there might be chance that others will do also.

The developers have been doing their part just to make this coin great. You may not notice their development because of the bear market because you are comparing development through prices.

It doesn't mean that the price is low, there's no development. If you are looking to it that way, I'd say that you should look on the brighter side where Vitalik have been discussing with its upgrade to 2.0 soon.

You know both are different coins and not all the if bitcoin pumps ethereum would pump too, it is not like that how the market works. Though ETH is just following the market of bitcoin, and it is up to the people. If bitcoin would pump then ETH would pump too but not the same percentage as what bitcoin was.

Eth has dropped really bad like the value now is $130 which was unexpected from the investors, eth was the king of altcoins but today it has badly affected by the market. It needs to recover and need to regain it position.

For what I can see the number of icos is not going down what it is going down is the demand of people for these new projects and it is simple to know what happens next, with less demand then more icos are competing for a shrinking pool of investors and most of those projects die before they are even born and with a lower demand people do not buy as much ethereum to buy in them and then the price of ethereum goes down as well.

Ethereum's current independent investors are not willing to buy, because it is impossible to judge how many Ethereums the team holds, so investing in Ethereum may result in very low profits, which makes it difficult for Ethereum to rise.

Ethereum has gained nicely over last two weeks and now just digesting those gains. Hopefully, its next run will be $200 and above.

ETH isn't difficult to rise, we just witness on how slow the pump is.
But last week it has shown on how well it is when a pump comes.

it took a long time to get back to the original price because all the altcoins and coins were unstable, so also eth dropped very drastically but waited after hardfrok later whether there was a change or not.

i think it's not only ETH had been affected with the downfall of the market as we can see on the market prices that mostly all alts have been down by almost 80% from their all time high. This is a good opportunity for us to accumulate many coins on those good quality crypto while at affordable prices. The launching of ethereum fork will be a turning point of ETH price to rise higher as those will create a huge demand.
