For me, i don't support the ideology that ICOs are killing Bitcoin. Remember, through ICOs most people has got to know about cryptocurrency. Through the awareness creation made by ICOs, the entire crypto space has gone global. ICOs added a new sense of value to the crypto market.

My opinion is the opposite. I think the BTC is killed the ICOs projects. The technology of ICO Token is based on the Blockchain of ETH so that the price of ICO Token is going down due to the decline of ETH's price. I hope that the exchange rate of BTC and ETH is going to recover at the end of this year.

but the bad experience experienced by investors when knowing that ICO is a SCAM, then the brains of these investors will think negatively about cryptocurrency. ICO has indoctrinated new investors that cryptocurrency is fraudulent, when in fact cryptocurrency is only a digital currency to make it easier for all of us to make payment transactions
I really hate SCAMMER, which is growing in the world of cryptocurrency, they are poisons that must be destroyed immediately

I do not think ICOs are to blame for current correction in the crypto market. Bitcoin has gone through worse corrections in past years when there were no ICOs. Some scam ICOs are bad news but are not the cause of this correction.

It's more the outright scams that are having a negative impact on the market not ICO's as a crowd funding model itself

More regulation is being introduced which will help to bring about a positive change in regards to legitimizing the industry which will lead to renewed confidence in cryptocurrency based projects

With the existence of ICO, the new coins will also appear that have good prospects. ICO is also a profitable investment if we can choose it well. there are many good ICO and have good prospects to followed. So, i agree that ICO not to be blame for crypto market's fall.

Having ico's is like adding spice to a recipe because basically there are new projects/coins/tokens every now and then and because of this payments using bitcoin or other alts are being utilized. I agree with the statement above that btc is killing ico's since it will not push through if there's a dump or their holdings will not be enough to cover their expenses on its project.

This is not true maybe some people but definitely not most because ICOs don't really help you learn anything about crypto until you start to invest. If you really want to learn about cryptocurrency start with the most popular which is Bitcoin there's a reason why it's popular in the first place.

I don't know what gave you the idea that ICO's are killing the crypto market since most of them eventually fail and it's very rare to see a token gain success even if they raised so much money during their ICO sale.

It is not Altcoins that are driving down the price of Bitcoin. It is the opposite. On three previous occasions to the current bull market BTC has fallen by more than 80% from their highs. BTC is just behaving as it normally does and trading on sentiment since its only use is as a store of value based on scarcity. That lack of any real utility is what makes it prone to wild swings.

Actually the ICO program is good for the development of cryptocurrency. But there are some parties who do use this situation to take unilateral benefits that make people view cryptocurrency poorly.

I support the idea, that scam projects and centralised coins are killing the crypto market. If investors would be more selective with their investments, there would be no problem of scam ICOs. They won't survive without our support.

they are not killing anything, least of bitcoin! since bitcoin is not even linked to ICOs as much as you would think. if anything ICOs are killing the platforms such as ethereum because ethereum's livelihood depends on ICOs since it has not other usages and without them it becomes completely useless.

I don't support this idea . This point view is superficial and erroneous. ICOs have a very positive impact on the development of the crypto industry, all the negatives come from scammers who pretend to be honest projects , but disappear with money after the end of the ICO. It is they who create a bad reputation for a crypto and kill the market.

I don't think that ICO are killing crypto market, i think hard fork are killing Bitcoin. We don't need hard fork. New projects need to run ICO for development money so ICO is needed.

Yes, I think so. Because the ICO was made to develop blockchain technology in several sectors. I think this is a good move in helping cryptocurrency to be better known to many people. But unfortunately now many ICOs are less qualified and not innovative in their development, instead they only copy pastes from other ICO projects.

Yes I really agree that ICO's are killing the crypto market but not all of them because there are also some ICOs which really have an impact in our daily life which are also legit but lacks the support of investors which would eventually die out in vain and there's also this scam projects and ICOs which sole intention is just to rob out the money of its investors which causes many of our fellow crypto investors to abandon their support on the crypto market.

I think it's not accurate to say that ICOs is killing the cryptocurrency market. Weak, scammed, and failed ICOs are just part of the factors that contribute to cryptocurrency problems. Pending upgrades and developments also contribute to the market problems.

I don't think we can generalize this. There have been some good ICOs too. Its just that with crypto spreading its reach, people who want to make swift money is increasing and thus we see an increase in scam ICOs.
This could be dealt with, if we are through with our research and invest carefully without being fooled.

ICO are springing up every day , many of how them dont even know what blockchain technology is all about and as result of the new altcoin coming on board many investors have been scam of their hard earn money which have brought lot of fears on the crypto market . currently with the large number of people that troop into the market because of the sudden rise of the market late last year 2017, the same number or even more than have left the trading market because of too much lost of money  to fake ICO that never get listed on cryptocurrency exchanges . these act alone also cause the bear market we are experiencing today.

ICOs are not killing the crypto market, they are just struggling under these bearish market conditions plus ETH also lost a big part of it`s market share this year. Last year ICOs made a big contribution to the market boom, this year it is not the case.

But is somehow some ICO's turn into scam which could affect the market image as well as the trust of the people. If this could stop then, it surely crypto will be great again.

There are over 2000 altcoin existing nowadays and thousand of scam ICO are now being recorded. Do you think that we need more altcoins?
