Title: Save Crypto? HiHi!?
Post by: christof123 on November 28, 2018, 02:16:34 PM
Was looking into www.celsius.network as I'm trying to find ways to make money from some BTC I'm hodling... just sits in my wallet at the moment. Like what they are offering but the rates are quite low and they also only pay interest in BTC and will end up paying interest in their CEL tokens...

Also saw these guys -> HiHi! Wallet https://hihiwallet.com as their CSO is speaking in Vancouver at VanFunding tomorrow - they look new but say they will pay interest in Fiat... eager to see how this pans out and to see what she has to say! Will let you all know...

Anyone else have any other recommendations?

My recommendation is to keep your money in your own wallet. If you send it away, you have no guarantee at all that you'll ever recover that money.
Most of such services are plain scam. I don't know about the one you discuss about, but the risk you take when you send them your money is too big to take for a couple of extra bucks.

thanks :) will dig deeper with the HiHi! site to see exactly how it works as the information is quite scant at the moment, might join their Telegram! seems they have a real team, doesn't look like they are live yet, site looks more like holding/investor site.

This is one of the founders. Used to work at UBS Bank https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-guffanti/

also found compound by Coinbase but doesn't seem that easy to use.

To be honest, the first time I have heard about such sites that you describe. Now I plan to spend time studying them.

OK, hold on for a long time and not pay attention to the value of the coin, so hopefully when we check, then the price will go up to the moon. That is why people always believe that long-term will bring much value to us

I heard about Celcius. It does have a good concept and it was even ranked #3 best blockchain project of 2018 by Forbes. Team is also skilled and their CEO is one of the guys involves in invention of VOIP. The only thing is that whenever you transfer your funds for staking on third party platforms then there is always a risk of losing them. Mostly coz of ill-intention projects but sometimes also of lack of security measures or other stupid mistakes. Plus fund management companies like Celcius are always on target of high profile hackers. But ya, if you have loads of stuff lying around, and you just wanna see it grow passively then you can invest small part of it in such projects. Only thing is not everyone has such luxury!

for sure, i'm not sure if this is staking though, i am intrigued indeed- seems HiHi! updated their Telegram saying the Crypto is locked so not like Celsius who seemingly use it.
