There are different opinions as to what will be the performance of Bitcoin as the year comes to an end. Do you think it would go back to the 6000 threshold it has sustained for the better part of this year?

I am seeing 2019 as good price for bitcoin and altcoins ,  I am thinking it can be more to 6000 usd . 2018 is not a good year for bitcoin but maybe in 2019 it will have a good price .

I believe bitcoin is going to remain in $6000 trading area for the remaining part of the year.  We all know how it was limited around that level for many days before doing a surprised downwards trend.  It is recovering now and we should expect that to continue.  However,  it will be difficult for bitcoin to surpass the $6000 as many are in the opinion that bitcoin is going to get to $10,000 before end of 2018.
On the other hand bitcoin might fall below the current price as many speculators are saying that it is not at the bottom yet and some say the bottom is below $3000.

Now everyone is sure that we fall below 3000. When everyone thinks that we will fall, this is the first sign of a reversal. Most people always make mistakes I think that by the end of December, Bitcoin will cost 8,000. In the first quarter of 2019, we have a lot of big events (Bakkt, ETF) and this will have a positive effect on the price of Bitcoin.

Hit 6000 before next year? I think this is impossible. In next year it gona be true. when bitcoin just already so low, mouth is so less time for good rise.

I do not believe we'll see BTC back at $6k but it could be possible with some good news coming around ETFs. I don't think they'll have a major impact on BTC price but once a bottom has been found the natural progression is a return to 6k.

It crashed and fell quickly came from $6,000 down to $3,000 and now its starting to get into $4,000. If the fell happened quickly, the rise can also come as fast as that. One more month to go for this year and everyone is waiting for bitcoin's move for December.

It will go back but it needs more time to create the stability and build a strong support. We need more good news to come to the crypto to make it happen in the future. Any good news will have needed to pump the price of crypto to go back again to the roof.

It might be too early to say but it seems like we've started a recovery phase in the past few days. We might have to wait a bit more to see if this upward movement can actually indicate the start of bullish trend since it's the first time in the past several weeks that we've had some buying pressure.

Personally, rather than seeing 6k again I'd like to see some consolidation around the current prices and then a steady and slow increase, but you never know what could happen in this market so I'm keeping my expectations as low as possible.

If we will do the math it might go back to $6k or more based on the remaining days but still it is unpredictable as btc can go down/up in hundreds of dollars in a day or two. Maybe, if something good will happen in the nxt few days/weeks maybe just maybe a bull run will start.

Yes thats right, looking at the time when it fell its justifiable if the asking price is only $6000 which most really think that theres a chance for it. And it can go beyond that but not too far from 5 digits.

Only time would tell what will the future holds for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but definitely this year is not a good year for crypto if we compare it to the year 2017. But i can say that this year is quite good if we compare it to the years prior 2017. If we compare the price sans 2017, it is on a ascending trend and there is a big possibility that it would continue to climb next year i think.

Bitcoin will have a better value than yesterday, and time will provide evidence. I believe that if the market starts to improve and almost all coins experience an increase despite only one percent, investor confidence will return and all have a good time with the volume movements beginning to rise.

yes of course it can happen but it is only for a short time because it will not last long and surely I am sure I will fall again because usually price increases occur because of the movement by the whales and provide manipulation of bitcoin prices.

Let's be hopeful it can reach that threshold $6000 or even more than that so everybody is happy. However, many investors are doubtful and hesitant to believe that it will happen because of the massive dumping of cryptocurrencies and altcoins. For now, let's just wait what will happen until the year ends.

I am waiting for May Dec 2020, few months after next bitcoin halving, because that's when bull returns ;-) :-P

I can not say whether Bitcoin will dump further or rise above the current market price (slightly above $400) what I do know however is that Bitcoin present price is far away from bitcoin value.  I believe next year will be positive for bitcoin!

what you are referring to as "difference of opinion" is mostly difference in goals not opinions. most of those who wish to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price or specifically those who have been shorting bitcoin are constantly talking about much lower prices and talk about "bottom" being lower because of their goals.

otherwise everyone already knows that it is not possible to predict that many things at this point because of the manipulation.
all we know is that it can't last that much longer before the price jumps back up.

We will continue to hope that bitcoin will reach 6000 in December this year, and I think this will not be difficult to achieve if investors' trust returns and the future will be good. Bitcoin had held around $6000 support area most of this year, only to breakdown below it some days ago. It can bounce back to $6000 but getting above it may take longer.

It is possible that reaching 6000 will happen but it may or not, until now there has been no good news yet in favor of bitcoin, so it seems that it has not been able to achieve that value. We will survive to be able to provide support for bitcoin to make it better and trust again.

It can easily cross 6k this year itself as already it is trading at 4k levels now. Bitcoin prices are currently falling very deep and it looks like this is a nightmare for all traders who still have bitcoin, it's a sad year, hopefully next year the prices of all cryptocurrency can be very expensive again.

I can see BTC hitting 6000usd level near 2020 or earlier if some random whale just feels like going on a shopping spree. Not highly likely though.

Opinions that differ according to me, are reasonable because each has different calculations and predictions.

Given that in 2018 this is a difficult year for bitcoin in my opinion at the end of this year there will be no major increase, but hopefully my prediction is wrong because it will be difficult to be able to determine when exactly it will go up or down.

Positive opinion yes it's possible bitcoin reach 6000 this coming year 2019 hope early of 2019 before end offirst quarter of the month more 6000$ price increase, but lets wait and watch wha will happen for cryptocurrency in these coming year.

I am hoping that it will have a higher market value before this year end because if ever the market price will be ending up low this year, it would give trouble to the market value of cryptos to make a comeback. Who knows, it is quite evident that nobody knows what will happen in this market, I personally see us testing 3-4k by the year-end, that support has gone which held us up over the last half year

May this year we are experiencing a bad market trend and it might be different by next year.  Hopefully this bear season will be over this year and a slow recovery start early next year.  This is a big challenge for us and everything goes exciting everyday as we really don't know what will happen next.

You have self-confident to saying that the price of BTC will hit $6,000 at the end of 2018. And I think the price of BTC will continue to decrease in November and at the end of this month, the exchange rate of BTC will be standing at $5,000. I hope that in the next year, the economy will be better than in 2018, and the crypto currency market will recover and the bull-run will occur.

Knowing the volatility of cryptos, it is possible but no way to know for sure. Best to just hodl and wait for market to show its hand.

I think bitcoin will surpass $6000 but there will be some adjustments, some growth and development before bitcoin begin to rise like it should. The mining architecture of bitcoin must change as there is general desire for energy efficient mining!

It is not hard for Bitcoin to reach to that value. It can achieve any price in the short term. It just need our support as if we will support it then no one will be able to dump the price. We also have to convince bigger investors to invest in Bitcoin this will also increase the marketcap of Bitcoin. This can help the price to rise more than that.

I think that we could either retest some lows and then go higher but only slowly or hit new lows on capitulation. Volumes are important here to be honest.

If you have seen how weak the fundamental support of the crypto market and it will be so difficult to say it will increase or rebound in a short time. The only way to make them wanna go back in the crypto again through bring them all a lot of good news about crypto. That will create fear or missing and they will buy that again instantly.

It depends on the fundamentals that will come out before the year ends. If there will a big news that will shake the market positively, it will be a piece of cake for bitcoin surpassing $6000. Lower price is already tested and found very much sustainability and now if some movement has to happen it will be only upside form here . So start buying if you were waiting to reach low and wanted to always invest in the market. When Bitcoin was at $8,000 I was waiting for it to go up to $10,000 before I might turn my little Bitcoin into real cash...alas it went to $6,000 and at that level I was wishing that it can be back at $8,000 which I decided can be the level where I will encash my Bitcoin. Alas it is now at $4,000 and at this time I am wishing that it go back to $6,000 so I can encash. NOW I am fearing that instead of going back to $6,000 it might soon be hovering to the $2,000 level...this is one of the many things I hate with Bitcoin. As for me, it isn't too impossible for both bitcoin and altcoins to reach a higher value in 2019. I guess it would be a better year for bitcoin. $5000 - $6000 area is going to be resistance on the way up so bitcoin is not going to go through it that easily. It will go above $6K next year very likely but hard to achieve that this month.

3 and a half weeks is a lot of time left. A bull run can take us above 6k in less than 7 days. Though it's unlikely anything of that sort will happen. Cross your fingers, who knows. Just keep your expectations modest to avoid disappointment lol

It is definitely very possible that bitcoin is going to recover to that price in the next year, the question is if it can mantain that price for a long time because it was able to mantain that price only for a few months and then suddenly the price went down and now people are wondering if they are ever going to recover the money that they invested in this market.

Since there are no positive marks in the market, reaching a market value of 6000usd seems to be not that clear. The market situation is really a problem for the cryptos. Most of the tokens including bitcoin, are dominated by red marks which is what worries the investors and holders the most. The best thing to do is to just be patient and to avoid being intimidated by the scenario.

Seeing a market that is not friendly, there seem to be no signs for Bitcoin to reach 6000, it actually goes down. But this is the crypto that is never stable and will continue to move up and down according to the demand. That must remain and continue to do good to be useful.

I am sure that 2019 will be a year of growth and Bitcoin can grow very high, for example up to 50,000 dollars per coin.

We do not need to wait for the next year, many coins that are in the market are disappearing already and are not going to recover while many other coins are still going to suffer from the lack of interest of new investors since they will prefer to invest in coins that have been in the market and that were successful in accomplishing what they promised on their white paper.

If we would base at the situation right now, it would seem to be not possible since the market is still on continuous market downfall. But there are still weeks before this year end, and let's just jope that a miracle could still happen to change the game around in the market. Be patient for now and wait. It can't rise to 6000 dollar in this year but according to my analysis it can drop to 3k dollar, half price of your question. Marketcap and 24h volume is too low and we need some big things for rising but it is not coming so it falls more if it can't rise.

Impossible, I think the odds are only 1%. It is difficult to see that the cryptocurrency market reached $5,000. The cryptocurrency that is not supported by big capitalists is growing slowly. We should invest in reason. The $6,000 is too optimistic.

What strategy that you used? You give the clear numbers to predict bitcoin price in the future. Someone has a difficult to predict it, even they got confused to convince that his predict will come true. But, it never happen for some poeple they just fall to loss again and just can leave it and come back when the price up until the price he bought.

BTC has faced the bear market for a long time and is showing signs of recovery. But maybe its recovery speed is quite fast, making me worry about this issue. BTC is stable at $ 5k4 and I think it will stay at this level for a longer period of about 3 months to be able to reach $ 6000 maybe by the end of this year.

It is just the beginning of the bull ride and already it has reached 5400$. So if more power comes in this bull run we can easily see it reaching 7k-8k in quick time . As last year was a bear market we could just be on other side this year and may recover well above 10k .

Since Bitcoin failed to overcome $ 6,000 treshold in 2018, I think BTC will do it literally this week. Today Bitcoin confidently passed $ 5,800 again, which means the next target is $ 6,200.

It is possible for 6k$ and I think this year bitcoin price will reach $10k. These previous days bitcoin is showing an increment of price so I can say it will reach a new target. Let’s hope for the best that good news will pop up in crypto to boost the price.

Seems as if people underestimated the bitcoin market, it smashed through the 6000 barrier even after the binance hack. Maybe they all dumped bnb for bitcoin which is the smart move

indeed binance exchanges have very strong supporters but I think to be able to penetrate such a large wall will be very difficult and certainly there must be good news that can trigger to be able to penetrate that many walls.

not really good . 6kusd is still small compare to the last pump that bitcoin reach and not all people wants the price to incease too early because they prefer the pump to occur in a latter stages due to the fact that they still want to purchase cryptos  while its still cheap   .

I'm surprised that BTC blasted straight through $6000 without experiencing any real resistance. It is looking encouraging.
Also looking at the whole market, in the last couple of months the upwards rise has been stopped a few times at around $185b... thanks to BTC the market has now pushed through that to $189b, so it's looking good for all coins really at the moment.
I'm hoping for a big price increase now, but that is tempered by the memory of the last year and a half, so perhaps it would be more sustainable to have a slow and steady increase instead.

The binance news doesn't give any impact to the price of the BNB tokens and the fact that it looks very strong right now. When the bull has started and the market has no reason to give a lot reaction to the bad news that can be taken by the party that involved in that case. As you can see binance will bring back that money to the traders but basically the party that gets lost is the binance exchange site itself and not anyone else.

Bitcoin just hit $6k and it will be hitting $10k before 2019 comes to an end. Looking at the current state of the bitcoin market ecosystem, Bitcoin can be worth about $10k to $15k by the end of december 2019. Within two months, it has moved from $4k to $6k indicating a rapid increase in worth value.

last year bitcoin did not hit $6000, but this time bitcoin hits $6000 and I'm sure it will go $10,000 price before end of this year.

Of course this is a good start that the price of bitcoin will skyrocket again at the end of the year, the most important thing is to keep buying and holding because prices will continue to rise and we have the chance to get big profits.

I'm pretty happy. I'll be much happier if it keeps above 6k until Monday though. And then let's see if we can maintain above 5500 for the next few months. Retracing is almost guaranteed, as usual, and 10% drop should be normal, but anything more than that and then we risk reentering below 5k and lower. Not that it's a problem short term. But I'd really like to end half year above 5k, 6k if possible.

You would have just checked the price of BNB too before saying this, do you realize that Binance price is still above $20, and the little dumped in price we see Is coming from those who are doing short term trade, and moreover, it is just barely $3 dump, and bitcoin has already added over $100, so whatever factor moved the price of bitcoin to break the barrier has nothing to do with Binance hacking.

Bitcoin is naturally gaining support of great communities by itself because those how are using bitcoin are really testifying to its performance which is already wining the heart of more investors.

Im still hapoy because even in the end of 2018 will nof reach $6000. The bitcoin price we can rise it more than that value and now is already $6300 and for the people who bought bitcoin they money become double now when they purchased the lowest value of the bitcoin in 2018. For this year recovering of the market will be expected and we know that is possible to happen.

if it reaches 10k this year I'm not sure because we can see for ourselves how the current market conditions always go up and down every day. maybe it will break above 6k more this year and in the year ahead it will grow.
