I've been adding my activities for months and still couldn't rank up.
It seems i can only rank up when someone send me one merit point.

Can anyone help me to get merit points please?

 

Begging will not help you, it will make your situation even worse. Better get a Copper membership, it's not that expensive.

You should write some kind of quality post for which you will be rewarded with a merrit. I read in chat rooms that people are very easy giving merrits for good topics. My friend got 4 merrits for one topic.

Just post some good content which bring value to the community, that's not too hard, to be fair. Maybe help newbies in the Beginners and Help section, if you do so it's likely to receive a Merit. But there are many ways more to receive a merit.

And in addition I would recommend you to avoid asking for merit, many DT members classify such comments a "merit begging" which can lead to red trust. I don't presume your comment is intentional begging, but it's better to avoid it. Finally, such comments won't bring you any merit.

You can buy cooper member. This is in addition to your current account. It will help you to participate in many bounty campaigns.

You should earn it and not by just begging for someone to give you one. There are many ways you could rank as long as you have the will to do so, giving some time to post, effort and lastly the knowledge for it to be interesting.

Do not ask to put you a merit. You need to write quality posts and it MAYBE earn you a few merits. But I do not believe that now you can raise the rank, you need too many merits for this. The time to get free ranks is gone, now it remains only to rejoice at what is)

I feel you mate, I can't even have another merit. But don't beg that someone will give you a merit and there are many ways to earn it. Just don't give up and keep on contributing valuable information in the forum and you will get a merit one of these days.

The scarcity of merit points being given nowadays is a serious problem and i think it is time to modify this system, the rank system can be relaxed a bit to discourage buying and selling of merit points, i agree with the suggestion that after an year an account should be promoted to next rank even if that account has not been able to earn required merit points, so this will take like 6 7 years to rank all the way up to legendary, i think this relaxation will also ease the discomfort and dislking exhibitted by most low ranked members here.

After merit rules implemented it become impossible to level up especially for members and above.

But i must admit with combining newbies can't wear a signature rule, it limited spam a lot.

Get a good write up and contribute to the forum can earn you Merits on this platform. Haven you opening a trend and start begging for Merit doesn't work like that on this forum. Endevour to make contribution to the forum to earn Merits.

Although the bitcointalk rule is getting strict everyday but if you post quality post on bitcointalk the merit givers will give you some merits in one of these days.

If you have been making good posts, do not be tired making more. The more the number of good posts you have, the higher your chances of getting merit.
You are just looking for one merit, you might be fortunate to have more than that at a go.
One of the clues to getting merit, is if you are able to help people on the forum to solve their problems.
What i am saying in essence is to be a problem solver.

I was affected by the recent downgrade of accounts where junior member accounts with zero merit were reversed to newbies, buying a copper member was the only solution even though I have not earned anything reasonable to compensate for the amount spent. The merit is based on a number of persons generosity and personal judgment

Thou my own account is not also merited but it does not warrant begg members to merit you. Get a copper account for yourself and continue to improve on what you post in this community. Post things that add value to the community and one day someone will reward your good works.

You don't need to beg for merit giftings. Focus more on writing quality posts and hope that someone decides to appreciate your efforts with merit gifts. Stay hopeful, despite the frustrations that lack of ranking could bring. You will rank soon...

Ask yourself how come you have almost 200 posts and 0 merits. Try to find some posts with a lot of merits, to get an idea how to write useful posts. When you start sharing useful information and give good advises you will have enough merits to rank up.

Merit system has its advantages where posters make quality information inorder that we can give reliable informations to our co bitcoiners.The problem nowadays is that not everyone of us can please anybody because everyone of us has its own perspective and idea or opinion in different topics.That is why its been so hard for now to rank up,but in this community mate we need to have alot of patience to survive,just don't give up.

Write  quality and informative comments and you will get merits Simple as that. To speed up the process you have to be visible for merit sources, so find them on the forum. There are sections like "beginners" where the merit sources appear more frequently. So, go after your merits and deserve them. You can do it !

Unfortunately, few people give Merit now. People do not want to create competition for themselves.
I do not know how in the English-language section forum, but in the local section it is very difficult to get rewards.
Here, for example, I wrote some very good articles for the Russian-speaking audience and collected only 29 Merit.
Although the articles were excellent and there would be a lot of awards. But unfortunately, my poor knowledge of English prevents me from publishing my articles here.

It is not helpful to you if you beg for merits. I would come when you work for it. Merit system is working fine to minimize spammers so i think it would stay and all you have to do is contribute and avoid spamming the forum. Understand why you are here and don't focus on just earning through bounties as there are many ways other than that to earn.

make interesting posts so that people like to read your posts and give merit points, besides making interesting topics, and can attract a lot of readers to create interesting discussions

I think you should write quality posts. Keep track of good information and post it on the forum. Do not forget that full plagiarism is punished to the fullest extent. You can write a couple of articles after analyzing.

I think if they are good you will definitely get a promotion.

It's too bad that I didn't get too early to rank up before the new merit system shows up. I could have gotten a high rank before but I was too lazy.

A high-quality post will get you some merits. You should start writing now because begging won't get you any.

I think the fastest way to get a merit is to write a very good post about tutorials or catch some fraud ICO I have some merit to giving but only the deserving people that can help the community to create great content, and to help the industry with bad ICO I have given few to some scam busters.

Maybe some day the merits will became a token, and people start to trade it... ::)

I don't think this needs to be asked, you can just make a positive post, which can help other people find the best way to solve their problems that they ask in this forum, so they will give sMerit for the help you provide

Try to make a post that is really useful for users of this forum, I'm sure you will be able to get Merit. I mean that the latest posts about Bitcoin, and the information you provide can make things change to the better.

Please dude dont begging for a merit in here. You need to try first make a super quality post or thread. There is so much merit challenge in this forum. You maybe try one and if you lucky you will good a lot of merits. Your rank will upgrade ASAP if you have a good content.

Hello, this is the new rule for the bitcointalk forum. Like the last rank up requirements, it only needs 30 activities. But for now, it needs a single merit to rank up. You need to make good quality posts to make the other users give you merit points.

I only have a few merits but only giving it to those who deserved it, I've checked your post and you are right you have a lot of good posts that deserves merit so I gave you one but you need to keep up and I gave you a merit not because you are begging but some of your post really deserves it but do not ask for merit it's not allowed

this is the whole point. they are very hard to get. you have to do something worthwhile to get you down

I think merit begging is not allowed in the forum. The only thing you can do is to create posts that others might think useful. However, some users never care on giving out merits. It's difficult to rank up now due to the new ranking system. Good luck on your stay here in this forum.

Maybe we need to post a very creative and meaningful posts here in order to earn merit from members who have higher in ranks already or from moderators from this forum. Just continue the good doing in this forum and you will earn more merits.

                  Yes asking merits to someone else doesnt seem good enough to approach ones self dignity,so better for you to give or share usefull thoughts or not a common topic to be shared to inside forum.,and im sure somebody will recognize your ability to do so.,and give you merits from that.

I am a jr member and I never thought anyone would give merit to me. I just poured my heart and mind in writing sentences about a particular topic. Because there is no merit source that deals with this merit in the forum btt I am sure they are professional peoples. so who provide informative informative posts or smart ideas that can improve quality or be useful for all forum members .

If you really want to get merits to rank up you should post a quality post or creat a good topics so you can get merit. Its hard to get merit but if you really want to get merit just create quality posts and try and try until you get more merits.

Already OP got 2 merits and ranked himself to be a Jr.member now,so better to lock this thread and stop further spamming that make good quality posts to get merits on each replies. ::)

To rank up you have to get merits points also along with activity. To get merit points you have to make a good quality post.
When you make a good quality post then if someone realizes that your content is best then he can give you merit.

Yes, he can promote himself as a copper member which is now member ranked. He can not earn merit if he had no good or profitable post or reply. He should increase his knowledge and spreading among the forum.         

No need to ask to send merits. For this you can be blocked. You need to write information that will be very helpful to users and in this case they will be able to thank you.

This is only a risk for someone who does not use good and correct English or does not make a good contribution to this forum, till now I am only stuck in rank members and have activities like senior members, surely this is an encouragement for me to learn like English well so I can give positive things to this forum.

to get merit nowadays is really a hard things to do. Imagine even no matter how constructive your post is you still not going to receive any merit from the community, but only they would agree on your topic. Unless, if someone get happy on your post for sure they will give some merit on you.   

It would be better if you make useful posts and don't be easily discouraged when you want to rise in rank. I hope you do not ask intentionally, because it is tantamount to lowering quality in contributing to posts in this forum. Keep the spirit of friends, it's still a long time for us all to work. 8)

Be good and make more friends with high smerit points sp.that they can give you if they think your posts is constructive. The hardest part is to make friends.with them because we are all anonymous and it is hard to know them personally. lol. This is just an opinion and I never done it before.

everyone dream to get merits, but it very hard to get it, also bad situation that if you once vote - merits will not be appear again in easy way, it hard

Getting merits is not difficult, OP already ranked up to Jr member. It's relatively easy to get a couple of merits and be eligible to wear a signature. If you have higher targets (ranks) you'd need to put in more effort.

Well at least you've earned a few merits, but you didn't get them by making friends here I'm pretty sure.  Unless you know a member in real life, bitcointalk tends to just be a collection of individuals who value their anonymity--not to mention that a lot of folks can be pretty prickly sometimes.  Lots of disagreements and drama and so forth, so "friendship" is a rare thing around here.  At least that's how I view it.

This is yet again another thread where people with no earned merits are giving advice on how to earn merits.  I have most of the members who've posted on this page on ignore, too.  One of these days they're going to learn that writing one-liners about "making good constructive posts" isn't going to do any good for them or for anybody.

You do not need a one merit to rank up, you need like 50 to become Member user. And like just someone said begging will not give you even a single merit here.

At Junior Member, nothing stops him/ her from participating in campaigns. I am actually wondering what his/ her cry is all about.
