There are lots of dumb people around buddy, never underestimate how stupid the average person can be when ‘promised’ riches.

If something seems top good to be true, it usually is.

You'd be surprised how many innocent people who worship their idols like a God will believe and hang on to their every word. Even though they are basically lying to their faces, like DJ Khalid and Mayweather, fans will/might still believe them because "they said it". Especially if you are unaware of cryptocurrency and how it really works, if you see your idol "endorse" it, chances are you will believe them.

Well, crypto is still in the transforming phase and we are not yet matured that enough to have that self-sustaining financial ecosystem. This is the reason why big whales and institutional investors can easily manipulate the market even without a high amount of capital. This is the reason why influencers are getting handsome amount of commission to promote crypto-based projects. However, this situation will definitely improve over the period of time along with the improvement in the mass maturity of the users.

I heard of a story about 50 Cents and his profit hiding in crypto, but I would not call it as promotion.
I also know about a local reality show star which created her own crypto, but I am not interested in this shit at all.

The influence from the image of the celebrities makes everything more prominent. There are many great projects supported by influential people in the world that help the project to attract and complete hard caps quickly. But the profit that the project brings depends on the development team of that project.

There are all kinds of people on the planet, some adopt stuff on their own or by the recommendation of someone intelligent and who has any influence. But sadly, there are more people who would adopt something which is a trend or recommended by some celebrity. Luckily, the same people are too dumb to adopt cryptocurrencies.

Because they reflect the image of the field of crypto as a whole.

Of course, it's the same as if you drink Pepsi or Coca-Cola because Messi or Ronaldo promote it, if I take one or the other is because I like its flavor, not because someone is advertising/promoting them, maybe your favorite artist is in an ICO, can call your attention and thus you make the effort to investigate a little more, but nothing else, it is always better to do our own research.

Remember bitconnect? The founder of the said coin was nothing but just a con-man dressed in suits, and a lot of people actually believe what he's saying, resulting into a lot of tears and torn wallets along the way. It is within the nature of people that when they're promised riches, they'll believe anything that anyone says, no matter how uneducated or clueless the person is. Celebs, too, knowing that they have a fanbase that will believe anything they say as long as it comes from the mouths of their idols. Having said that, it's not rare to see people believing in celebrities to make financial decisions, and crypto isn't an exception to that.

sometimes we don't know what the scam project is and how. because sometimes the rules for the game have been fulfilled. so it's also difficult to distinguish between good and not projects. moreover sometimes there is celebrity interference that falls in crypto.

It's the 'cool factor', the thing with BTC is they have run out of suckers, so now they're bottom-feeding on the lowest classes in the USA, trying to reel new fish into the pond

It's good that SEC is now protecting morons, its sad that it took +5 years to close the door on criminal swindling that revolves around BTC.

Like PT-BARNUM, and George Carlin said, you take the most stupid person you ever met, and you divide his IQ by 2, and that represents the average IQ of the USA population.

If this shit didn't work, people wouldn't spend 100's of billions on advertising.

I think the key message here, and I guess it goes for any celeb promoting any product...is does the celeb actually know anything truly about the project/product? Are they a genuine fan, perhaps and hopefully an investor, have any skin in the game? Or are they merely just a figure head, a puppet in the hope that by Celeb A promoting product XYZ, the masses will follow?

There are celebs out there who genuinely believe in and support what they are promoting or endorsing. Sadly there seems to be so many more who are just there to take the photos, bust out a few tweets and then cash the check!

Why not,  since we all know Bitcoin is becoming popular in any form of media, and even popular icons may be involve to this given that when it comes to mass, they were one of the most easiest way to convince a large group of people and in marketing strategy it is a plus for them to be honest, and the usage of Bitcoin will be more and more popular to the people.

Yes listening to those celebs talk about crypto is not something one have to rely on. Most of them or all of them might be doing the hyping of some ICO's or coins jusy because of what they too have been promised out from the profit made from such project. Is just like they're been hired to do the hyping for them and after that have been achieved,  they leave and abandoned the project for thr project owner.

Sometimes, popular people help to promote the projects because they influence and get trust to people. They can be used to educate the people about digital currencies give benefits. When they are the first to invest, people will follow, that is how powerful they are. Even they do not do that much, they gain popularity on the public.

Celebrities promoting cryptocurrencies is paid advertising just like promoting Nike or Adidas or any other brand. They dont really care what it is as long as they get paid. Whichever cryptocurrency pays more they will promote it.
No reason to pay attention to it whatsoever. For me it is like a paid review on one of those ICO review websites.

I'm also worried when celebrities advertise what they have no idea about. I can't understand how people can trust them blindly. We should only listen to real experts who have experience. But even in this case, we must make an informed decision on our own.

Many projects use popular celeb and events to promote because it can raise millions$ in a day

Well those people who are uneducated on cryptocurrency would probably believe on celebrities most especially if they idolized them. But if they're knowledgeable enough on how cryptocurrency and ICO works they would never jump into conlcusion without even trying. If they try to they will know how valuable bitcoin and altcoin was and will not believe on their idol says. They will know its existence was very helpful to each one another.

It could be a new trend in the next year if this get success and the other project will follow this way too. But I am curious about what will happen later for using the celebs to promoting crypto, and I wonder how many people will come and attract to the crypto world. I wouldn't. Celebrities are usually paid for it or have a stake in the ICO. They're nothing but paid shills. A good example of this is John McAfee, who saw there's a lot of money to be made in this space. Just listen to some of his interviews. He's drunk and/or high and trying to bullshit people. Nothing's sure online, you can get hacked anytime by those intelligent hackers and scammers. They will do what they can just to get an easy money. I know that celebrities have a huge impact on the council, but this also affects negatively, when they accept a sum of money and promote it to make people believe it. You see this is not great, and I hope that when celebrities promote any ICO need certain legal frameworks to verify the nature of the project.

Those that only care about the hype a coin is receiving will care about that, look the market of cryptocurrencies is like any other market and those that create icos have realized one truth that the experts in marketing have known for decades or even longer, if you associate your project with a celebrity your brand gains recognition and people will desire to buy your product and service just because a celebrity is using it and this principle applies to cryptocurrencies as well.

So while I agree that those that invest based on which celebrity is promoting a coin are not ready for this market that is not going to stop them to invest in this market since they can do whatever they want with their money.

Of course. They are so focused on making money many of them would sell their family members if they could. They are selling their family secrets, sex tapes, nudes, what else is there left? Shilling is one of the cheapest and easiest way to make money, and can you blame them? Many of them are pure degenerates. If I were a celebrity and some ICO firm offered me 100 thousand dollars to tweet some shit about them I probably would. Easy money.

Maybe we cannot believe for those celebs who were promoting crypto but they have their own fans who will listen whatever says, and if many of them join in the ICO, then we cannot stop them. I am sure that the project will make sure their ambassador can works best to their project and they will prepare everything so the celebs can promote in the social media or the television. But the risk is if the project fails to reach the goals, the big name of the celebs will also get a bad reputation among the other celebs.

It is clear that celebrities are doing advertising for a reason, and I am sure that it is not because they have fallen in love with this or that coin. They are offered to cooperate for a certain amount, and from their side: why not, it is very clear. Many people want to psychologically introduce their ideas into people's minds, so they use advertising principles such as the "halo effect", with the help of which they act on customers. Celebrities of a kind are in advertising terminology, "icons" for people, and those who are fan of them will follow them, and this is a fact.

Celebrities are obviously promoting crypto because they see a business in it, they either get shares or get paid for it. People with a broader perspective in terms of marketing can oversee this, but others who perhaps see the celebrity as a rolemodel and believe in their honesty, could actually believe celebrities. In my opinion it is always better to follow, analysts, crypto enthusiasts and insiders.

Is a celebrity promoting crypto paid for by the pope, to disrupt crypto prices? there are indeed many strategies used by the pope to manipulate prices, but I never thought that celebrities were paid for by this pope

Celebrities are obviously promoting crypto because they see a business in it, they either get shares or get paid for it. People with a broader perspective in terms of marketing can oversee this, but others who perhaps see the celebrity as a role model and believe in their honesty, could actually believe celebrities. In my opinion it is always better to follow, analysts, crypto enthusiasts and insiders.

And who will pay these celebrities?

What would they say in their advertisement? Invest on crypto currency? on Bitcoin? People are idolizing these celebrities because of their talents, of what they are doing, some people might do it but some also follows their investments. Not all of the people are believing them because they know they are actors, actresses and they act before the camera, they are paid to do that.

I think the teams of the ICO projects know that the celebrities will have a power to gain more follower and with using celebrity to promote the project, at least it could help the project to be known in public. The dev and the teams can expect to reach their goals especially if they are serious with the projects, so the investors will know that they have a good project. It depends on how much budget that the ICO project has because they need to negotiate with the celebrity manager to make a deal.

these aren't exactly celebrities. or at least you can all them lowest tier celebs :D
and what they are doing is in fact shilling, since like anybody else in the world they also want to make profit and like any other newbies they also can fall for the s cams of altcoins and ICOs. so when they are already caught up in the web of deceit set by the ICOs, they want to get out of it by pulling others in that trap.
this has also been happening for a long time too. the market always corrects itself in about a year or two when it gets rid of all these shitcoins and these "promoters" together as they get dumped to zero.

DJ Khaled and Mayweather had an issue about shilling an ICO. And other celebrities hyping or promoting scam coins. Who would actually rely on their words? If you're listening to celebs then you are not ready for this type of market at all.
These two are just good in hyping the market, but they have the influence so there are still people who will invest when seeing it's promoted by celebrity.
Now that the SEC fined them, the people now are more aware about this things so they will be more careful in investing next time.
I believe these 2 makes bigger money less the fines they have to pay.

You're right. We should listen only to those people who understand cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. And celebrities will talk anything if they get paid. Some people tend to believe them because they're public figures, but they're just like us. But on the other hand, it is a great way to promote your project and raise funds for ICO. The main thing that it all did with good intentions.

If you’re really a fan of some artist, then you would believe mostly everything they say. Well in fact, not all celebrities actually use all of the products they advertise. Not all artists who promote crypto can guarantee us that they really know how it works. Mostly, they just use them as a marketing strategy and it’s up to you if you are smart enough to believe them or not.

I think celebs should do due diligence before promoting some Crypto projects especially if the project looks suspicious but I think it is hard to decide if they are offering a huge amount of cash and pretends to be legitimate by all means. I think what happened to DJ Khaled and Mayweather will be an eye-opener to those celebrities that are offered to promote an ICO or a project related to Crypto Currencies.

You are right, of course you should not blindly trust celebrities and any "experts" who promote any project or ISO, as it can be elementary advertising. The most important thing is to be able to think, study information, analyze it and understand whether you need this project and whether it is worth investing in it.

Correct .  its too costy to use a celebrity and promote your goods on t.v , radio , online , evrywhere ..

That also means that the project has a big budget to finish their plans  . so its safe to say that they are legit  and paying .

Its really believable that a celebrity can promote crypto because they are being paid  . who know, maybe they are also investing with it  if ever they get interested on what they are promoting .

The problem that is see is that they are promoting icos as if they are a product that you can buy in any store but that is not the case, do you see any celebrity promoting Google or Facebook so people buy shares of that company? Because I do not.

An ico is a very risky investment that can make you lose all your money very fast and people do not really understand the risks they are taking when they invest, so while in a decentralized market is impossible to regulate what the celebrities do with their fame they are taking a huge risk too because if the ico scams its users then it is likely that will reflect in their image as well and that is something they do not want.

I try not to listen to anyone at all in choosing the subject of investment. Especially a boxer or a musician. What do these people generally understand in cryptocurrencies? They were paid money and they told you what they were asked to say. This is the same as believing in everything that is said in advertising on TV. ) Even people who really understand cryptocurrencies are hard to believe, since many of them can be biased or simply bought by someone. Or they may just be wrong. This is peculiar to people. The most correct way is to make decisions on your own. Learn more about where you plan to invest and then make a decision.

No, celebs just promote it because they get paid for it no more no less, its just like another endorsement. For them getting into this just like another gamble, they don't know about it actually or maybe some assitant control their assets. The important things are don't let big people who didnt know about crypto can make you trapped with their ads

Celebrities are considered very influential. With their fame and influence, it stimulates individuals to pay more attention to them and they can easily gain our trust. However, I don't think that most of these celebrities are actually doing as to how they are being paid for. They are mostly featured to be a model and to attract more viewers and gain interests from the public. It's still very important to do our own research, be creative to decide, to build a strong foundation of knowledge, awareness, understanding, and not to rely much from how these celebrities promote such products or projects.

We have a celebrity culture in many countries, just take notice of the amount of time that things like sports and celebrities take in a regular news paper or in the TV news and you will see that they occupy anything between 30% to 60% of the time and as you know there are websites, magazines and TV shows completely dedicated to that so I agree that many people will fall for it because they do not know any better.

I am sorry for those people because they are going to be scammed of their money but even if that is the case you should not let yourself make the same mistake and if you see a friend or family member about to do something like that prevent them and explain to them why it is a bad idea.

I for one certainly would not.  Far as i'm concerned, celebrities seldom promote anything they strongly believe in, either because its not worth their time, fear of being criticized or not wanting to be affiliated with it.   In most cases, they promote only things that they get paid to promote.  IMO, its the one thing that crypto doesn't need.

If a crypto startup project hires an actor or famous celebrity, expect that their product is nothing more than a money raising scheme. If hype would have been the most important for an ico they can easily get it in this industry, but the real fight can be found after ico and while they are developing the product and establishing real market use.

Yes that is true , I believe there are actually many celebrities that are promoting crypto currency, even if they are not been payed to promote crypyocurrency , but the celebrity themselves are joining the cryptocurrency activities, also for there interest in acquiring bitcoin and other altcoin , just like also naking investments.
It's no secret that many celebrities have crypto, and promote crypto among themselves. Certainly not a strange thing, because celebrities have a lot of money.
Why don't they promote openly? Of course they don't want to, because open promotions in the media have to be paid. So they invest in silence, and make cryptocurrency in their wealth portfolio.

Many celebrities have no idea what they're advertising. It's all about fees.Due to the very bad fees at ICO, this method will attract a lot of investors.I think that this is currently the best marketing ploy.Any blogger will not be able to attract such a scale of people as any celebrity can easily.

It is our responsibility to research about the project and make the investment. Celebs indirectly have crypto portfolios, and for money they'll do anything. If they're promoting scam projects then that wouldn't be much of a promoting rather than its making the reputation of crypto look bad on institutional investors and average citizens. A good way of promoting is sharing knowledge and awareness of crypto currencies and how to use it and once they known they wouldn't dare to convert their money to fiat ever again.

Maybe not trust in one celeberity when they decide to promote cryptocurrency but an entire organization instead.
Just as the soccer team who endorses their own alt coin.
The club is a professional soccer team in a league located in the united kingdom.
This is a better example in who you should trust in the cryptocurrency space.

What you see is what you get , so yes i believe it .  celebs are promoting crypto because they are being paid to do that . the advertiser pays the network or the media to advertise his cryptos because he wants it to become more popular in public  .

the network or the media will also hire a celebrity and they will pay it to do the advertising job  . there is nothing illegal about that  . infact this was actually a good idea .  kudos to them  .

If you will just see the GCOX, you will see more celebrity having their own token!
MANNY PACMAN PACQUIAO is one of them and as i remember MANNY did promote it on one of his fight!

It is our responsibility to research about the project and make the investment.
A very wise investor wouldn't buy the promotion of the celebrities. It may sound good and promising because they are promoting it but we are all aware that these celebs were paid just to shill and promote those tokens.

Celebs indirectly have crypto portfolios, and for money they'll do anything. Even they promote scam projects, but they won't invest on those projects. To be on the safer side it is our money and we need to take responsibility than going on someone else words.
They might even don't know what they are promoting. As long as they'll sign the contract from the advertiser and give the script, they are good to know. In the crypto world, everyone should be vigilant and don't be too gullible with your idols.

Celebrities are the last people I'd listen to when it comes to finance. You can't even trust them with product endorsements - they'd endorse anything even if they are not using it as long as they get paid. Likely what also happens with ICOs for alts.

I think this might be a new strategy most people are adapting to since they've realized most of these celebrities do have a lot of followers, it is easily possible to influence them through that means. Although it might be true its about time we stand by our own choices and stop getting influenced easily by these people. Most of these celebs have little knowledge about the crypto world.

Eventually, many people have the so called "Bandwagon Effect", they buy things that being used or promoted by their idols in showbiz. They like to know more things about the celebs. Moreover, ICO promotions have been the way of these celebs to attract people specially their fans to buy tokens. They can influence this industry through their fame and I believe that they conveying people for money and succesion of the project.

Well they are not the only celebrities promoting about ICOs and cryptocurrencies. I have seen some and I'm not sure if they are aware that what they are promoting is a real project or they are just concern of their pay  for their promotions. The truth is seeing a popular person promoting a certain cryptocurrency gives a big impact to that project. People are thinking that because they believe in that celeb they ought to believe also to what he is talking about. It somehow build trust in the part of the investors to the project the celeb is promoting.

We are always advice not to rely on the advice of others when it comes to cryptocurrencies investment cause it can be misleading, we have seen a lot of celeb promoting one cryptocurrency or the other but the fact is to make the right decision we must carry out our own research about a coin before we invest otherwise we may be mislead by hype and speculation.

Their fans might believe since buying the same things your idols have would make you feel you share a certain connection with them. Endorsements like these though is not an effective way in the long run since first, promote ICOS--which we know that has quite a reputation when it comes to dumping. So people brought by that endorsement would think that this kind of trend in the ICO space is the norm for all crypto market.

Agreed with you, Celebrities are too cautions of money and fame, they can promote any shading program in the name of financial reward. Have seen some celeb who sold out their trust just to get financial rewards, this attitude is very much found among celebrities, so, never take their words because they could be endangering potentials investors.

We have people like Lebron James promoting Kia, do you really he thinks he drives a Kia around?

Especially Mayweather, this guy loves money and material possessions so he won't turn down anything.

Celebs are always going to get paid for promoting something, they will even be paid for tweeting on their channel e.g. John Mcafee though he seem to be involve very much in cryptocurencies but he still is considered a celebrity and some of his followers worship this guy. Anything he says can impact what people will think of a project and you can see this from the previous projects he shills.

Definitely the project will pay those celebrity that helped in promotion, but there is one question i ask; for celebrity to promote the coins, will it give it express to be successful?  Of recent there were coins that celebrities promoted during their ICO and those coins all end in dust and scam. Celebrities can do anything for monetary gains even though they are not investing into that coins, just doing it to earn.

I totally agree with this. Promoting the ICO using the popularity of the celebrity is very effective for advertising especially if that celebrity is well known and also have good investments in cryptocurrency. As well as manny pacquiao when he fight he uses the logo of the ICO to promote and thats the thing why it is good.

Yes you are right, there is no point buying products or following investment ideas from celebrities. But, we can't ignore the fact that, they could introduce the product to a large audience. They could grab peoples attention. In ICO's case shilling makes projects popular and eventually investors would be interested in popular projects. That is why we have seen many people following celebs and famous investors.

This is very true, because everyone talks about the advice that Mcafee can give, but recently the last one he gave has not convinced me, although it would be something very big, but I am somewhat skeptical about it. However, it is necessary to make an analogy: it has been proven throughout history that many celebrities of the Stock Market have failed completely in their predictions, as happened to Isaac Newton, could calculate the movement of bodies, but could never calculate the movements of the masses with the emotions of Supply and Demand.

If celebrity will going to promote crypto which possibly become a scam project, I think that doesn't bring a good reputation to crypto and also for the fame of that celebrity. Promoting crypto shouldn't be handled by prominent person or a celebrity, maybe social media and youtube could be enough. Involvement with crypto to celebs isn't appropriate, because at first it was anonymous that's why more scam project was likely to use it for cyber crimes scamming people around the world.

Some celebrities are aware of bitcoin and crypto but most who are paid to advertise aren't aware of it.

Don't listen to someone who isn't even know what he's tackling about. This is the best thing to do when you are in an unpredictable market, don't take each person's advice as financial advice because in this volatile market, you can only trust yourself when it comes to decision.

yeah even they may not care about the content of the ads they are promoting, the most important thing is that they get paid for it, unless celebrities become investors in their coins, and become a symbol
for a particular project, maybe that will make the coin more trusted

Not to generalize celebrities but most of them only have the means of investing while lacking the proper understanding and fundamentals of the topic. To give you an example, Mayweather is absolutely considered one of the greatest boxers of this time but his lacking of basic investment methods hinder him from making proper decisions. In addition, they get easily attracted and captivated by ICOs while failing to do background checks or research on the company.

If I were to base my decision on someone, I would rather listen to an financial/trading expert who has a background on investing compared to celebrities who know little to nothing about investment.

Celebrities will advertise anything. After all, they get a fee for this and, moreover, not a bad amount. So why not earn a little, and even remind yourself through advertising. After all, they get paid for advertising immediately and with money, and not tokens like bounty hunters

That is their job in the first place since they target the audience with little understanding of investment. Unfortunately, that is the sad state of some advertisements. Lack of authority in promoting something that does not coincide with their profession line or background.

Basically they all get paid when doing promotions. That is a natural thing because usually they will not be too familiar with the procedures they are promoting, they are only brand ambassadors and when the project fails then we cannot blame them. The result is that the one who will continue to be responsible is the development team of the project.

I wouldn't be relying on any celebrities pushing ICOs no matter how good it is. Still I would rely on my basic understanding about the project. We know celebrities work because they are paid or may be used to promote the project without consent. Many of these scam ICOs could penetrate using the same idea effectively towards the market. See websites you will see some faces of celebrities endorsing a product which I think was edited to look as if they pose for the product. Relying too much could only lead to nothing but trouble, not unless if it is confirmed authentic which could serve us a basis for thinking that the project's management is really doing their best to promote their product. Yet always stay with your logical reasoning for you not to be caught in the net by any scammers.

So I think crypto at this point needs to be supported by the enterprises and bodies
Even though the support is limited but it is more reliable
It will have a positive impact in the future.

Money is the reason why they accept to promote altcoins. They have a little bit knowledge about what is cryptocurrency is but I don't think if they are really interested in it. They are using Celebrity for hype, like Stox did.
I have seen allot of celebrities promoting bitcoin and crypt currency because they are having good benefits from it if they will not support it, even then it don’t any bad effect on value of crypto currency but it is good for crypto currency promotion and its value as well as price because still there are so many people in the world who admires different celebrities and they try to adopt all those things which are being use by celebrities.

I might listen if the celeb have already been known for engaging in the technology sector, say someone who has invested in certain tech startups before. I might think that he/she knows what he is going into, invested and now promoting it. But seriously, Mayweather?

For a long time products and services has employed celebrities to promote there brand and this strategy has been paying off.
Cryptocurrency being promoted by the right celebrity with the right idea can improve the popularity of cryptocurrency

If it's a big name doing the promoting, I'm pretty sure the majority would buy it.

Though having the celebrities to promote coins will sell based on their fans who will be interested to buy into the promotion, but the real picture of the product will be the most concerned. Many celebrities are always after financial gains and fame and for them to promote a legitimate product in crypto-space will be rare in my own view.

There were in the past icos that used that tactic with some success but to me that seems a cheap tactic, let people to decide what it is the best coin based on the the actual performance of the coin, the developers and how fast they can reach their goals instead of using the tactic of hiring a celebrity to promote your product, this is especially true because many of those celebrities are not really going to understand what they are promoting and could easily get in trouble with the authorities if they promoted a scam.

And that will be terrible for them since the thing they care more than anything is their public image and it will be tarnished if they promoted a scam.

Crypto is still developing and still transforming and that is the reason why celebrities and influencers get often approached by different companies to promote and advertise crypto-based projects. When talking about influencers in general , 90% of the time they don’t use or know anything about the product they advertise, they’re in it just for the money.
I hope the situation improves with the improvement of the crypto, market and its users.

Maybe in some range celebs could promote cryptocurrencies but this is not substantial. First of all they use any kind of promotion to promote themselves in the first place and beside that cryptocurrencies users are mainly not kind of population who would be intereseted too much what celebs have to say.
Cryptocurrencies need promotion, that is true, because that is still rather new technology but I don't think celebs are the right persons for that.

They have tons of followers and supporters ,
Maybe they could use it to boost the project,
The only problem is what are they promoting is it a food one or it could be a scam that they didn't even know.

DJ Khaled and Mayweather had an issue about shilling an ICO. And other celebrities hyping or promoting scam coins. Who would actually rely on their words? If you're listening to celebs then you are not ready for this type of market at all.

We all know that this is a developer strategy to attract sympathy, especially for new investors, and in fact it is a joke. because celebs don't know about crypto or bitcoin.
so this is where you have to use your experience and knowledge even more in every investment speculation

I heard a news that Akon (singer) will be launch his currency. According to some sources i found an article but still not any progress or further updates. Some people are quite interested to spread these kind of news and they get views, claps, and followers. And everyone knows that celebrities have their own business and they are not taking interest in these kind of risky business.

According to some authenticated Sources

LOL that's correct and Crypto Currency users do not watch Television often or not watching television at all, I guess celebrities have a small amount of impact when it comes to promoting an ICO or an STO. I don't think that Crypto Currency needs more promotion because it will only create a FOMO effect just like what happened back in the year 2017 when the hype is extremely done and a lot of people got affected by FOMO and entered the Crypto investing world without knowing how risky this industry is. This is just based on my own opinion and point of view. :)

I think some people filed legal cases against those two personalities that you mentioned and they already paid some fine for the shilling that they have made with some kind of scam project if I'm correct. Well, no one actually knows if a project will succeed or not even if the most famous celebrities will promote it if there are no investors of that certain crypto related project it will still fail unless there is some kind of manipulation that will be going to happen, lol.

There are lots of dumb people around buddy, never underestimate how stupid the average person can be when ‘promised’ riches.

If something seems top good to be true, it usually is.
Correct, even a person with high intellect sometimes get caught and taken the bait of scammers when it comes to money returns for their investment, even if the ROI is so fascinating and unbelievable they will still believe because there is money involved and they are too greedy. 8)

They were only hired to promote a crypto .  it does not mean that they are using a crypto before or today  .

They dont really care on what they are dealing with as long as it is legal . they will promote the product even if they dont ever use it before because they are bieng paid   . may weather is a famous boxer , so its also normal for him to become an advertiser/promoter   but we dont know if he is also investing on crypto in real life .

Celebs are certainly bad for ICOs in my opinion. They can only be helpful if the coins are already established like Eth or Xrp. I'm very sure that in the future when mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies has happened, a lot of celebrities, models or hollywood actors will shill their own tokens in the ads.

In here, local celebrities are promoting crypto also they are using crypto as well as their investment. This is why crypto is "kinda" famous here, why I said "kinda' because" still people are neglecting the fact that crypto is not related with crimes and they think crypto is just MLM and HYIP stuff.

I happened to see one Ann thread of a Russian ICO, project of a Russian celebrity. I didnt hear about the project anymore but during that time, the project was so noisy and talked about by many since it belonged to a well known celebrity. I was just not sure if there were genuine supporters and investors just because of the celebrity.
I am sure many have bitcoin among famous celebrities, because they are people who are greedy for money and bitcoin one of the promising investments for the future.
They invest everywhere, from restaurants to cruise ships, the important thing is that their names can be sold to make a big profit. Therefore, I'm sure celebrities invest in bitcoin.

Of course bro, i'm sure many rich celebrities invest too on bitcoin. For promoting cryptos, maybe some celebs accept the offer but i'm sure the celebs is not use the crypto that they promote. They only do it for money, endorse the altcoins like DJ Khaled and Mayweather.

In our everyday lives, people use products that celebrities promote, promoting coins/icos/tokens is no different from it, they get paid to do shilling it's you who needs to do due diligence.

It is not that they are bad but I don't think Celebrities will just accept it like that.

There are a lot of ways to advertise cryptocurrencies especially the new ones since there are a lot of sites, forums, and platforms that posted these things and there are also, obviously a lot of people there looking up into it. Why would you pay a Celebrity to advertise your coin if you can just (for example) start a Signature Campaign here in the forum? They are Celebrities and that means a lot of people are ready to watch him or her but with a huge talent fee of course. Even if you pay them huge money, I don't think they will say yes that easily as we all know how cryptocurrencies are viewed these days.

celeb will not guarantee about ico, that is good or bad. it can be good or it can be scam. even, expert cant guarantee it. its like gambling if you are not analyze from beginning. they just want offer from developer. so its not about how great that ico, but about the money ;D

yes, I agree with what you say. if we really listen and believe in celebrities, that's the beginning of your failure in this cryptocurrency market. we better study with someone who has been long and understands about market analysis and believes in analysis and speculation alone rather than having to believe only in an artist. maybe celebrities are already known to many people, and everything said will affect everyone. but for this market, I don't think celebrities have a big influence.
