I asked some time ago for a "report a profile" button so we can report accounts which have no posts and skip posting threads like this one, but still nothing.

Yes, implementation of a "report profile" option would make more sense here but implementing it could sound impossible to some members as it would take days decades as per the current situation until the implementation is done by theymos.

I'm sorry, did you say "days"?  I think you're either not familiar with the pace of change around here, or you misspelled "decades".

Such a thing would be useful for reporting chronic shitposters/spammers instead of the now-tedious method of reporting each piece of shit post one-by-one.  I used to be a bit passionate about visiting Bitcoin Discussion/Altcoin Discussion and reporting garbage posts and then checking profiles to see if that was a pattern, but it's far too time-consuming.  A simple "report profile" would be nice, and then a mod could do a quick check of a member's post history.  Usually you can just look at the first page and conclude whether someone is a bounty spammer or not.

I also met the same thing about accounts on behalf of (dragon) I don't know for sure this is the same person or someone else.
But clearly this account is all position: Newbie and the same name.

Personally I don't see the need for a new button, simply using the button that we have and stating in the report that the issue with the account can accomplish the same thing. I'd be far more interested in the indicators of reported posts and "inactive account"(for banned users). Saves time for reporters which would be nice.

The thing is to use that button as described the onus would still be on the reporter to make sure the profile is in need of moderation as opposed to an individual post. I get it it's time consuming and annoying to have to justify reporting a profile, but without due diligence this could lead to bad reports and create a larger backlog for moderators. On that note more moderators sharing in the workload - maybe even some "trainee" Mods just to help out, we could consider them "unpatched" Mods until sufficient time has passed in the eyes of theymos.

Just a note here, the registration dates you have posted for the last 4 accounts to not match to the actual registration dates I guess you have copied them from those above to keep the formatting.

Just noticed that #10 and #12 are registered on the same second and I was wondering how this could be possible, but then I checked the profiles, and saw that the second account is registered today with a different time.

This is insane how can one person created twenty five accounts what for other then to spam the forum, mod should please do something about this before it get out of hand.

A trainee program could b useful to help take some of the work load off of the mods that way there is a fresh pair of eyes out there on the forum ...I get it that the mods have a lot of responsibility and it takes a lot of time to check the forums for spammer accounts so In my opinion it would b a good Idia to think about the trainee program just my opinion though

The underlying problem isn't in the efficiency of reporting it's just that there aren't enough people to follow up on those reports. If there were enough people you could have even simpler methods.

It wouldn't be able to be an automatic ban or else you could just create an account of the same name as someone you dislike. But having a system that autoflags any accounts of the same name but for 1 letter/number would bring these accounts to the attention of moderators very easily.

As I said though, them being brought to attention doesn't seem to be the issue, the issue lies in something happening about it.

I don't quite get your input really,who's training who and who's getting trained here..
Junior mods? Or assistant mods?
If thats what you intended to mean,i doubt we'll be getting new mods anytime soon, even though members of the forum have clamoured for it's introduction for a while now to aid already existing mods..
