Title: How about Hashcoins.com ?
Post by: crocko on March 09, 2014, 12:25:47 PM
Hello !

I found another ASIC producer: hashcoins.com
Apollo miner
500GH/s, $2499 USD, 28nm tech, at the wall: 0.75 watt per gigahash, Corsair Hydro Cooling System, PSU Corsair
Poseidon miner
1500GH/s,  $6899 USD, 28nm tech,at the wall: 0.8 watt per gigahash, ...
Zeus miner
2500GH/s, $10999 USD, 28nm tech,at the wall: 1 watt per gigahash, ...

quote from the site:
"Power Consumption at the chip: less than 0.65 W/GH/s +/- 15%"
"Orders placed today are guaranteed to ship by April 30, 2014."
"Payment is to be made in BTC online, PayPal or via wire transfers (USD)."

Can someone confirm if this is legit ?

I cannot confirm is it legit or not but it seems interesting.
And seems legit as you look to their contact page:
https://www.hashcoins.com/company/contact

And no bad opinion around.

No 100% sure but perhaps they are ok.

It also needs a computer, so factor that in for power.  :-\

Check out the shipping page:
Recommended Control Unit
• Any Linux** PC (desktop, laptop, or rack-mounted server), with the following:
• 1G RAM, 500GB or larger disk, at least one USB port, paired with one or more USB hubs
• I.e., most any computer that can run CGMiner
• Needs an ethernet port to connect to the internet
• Needs one USB port per miner

and it's a pre-order...

pre-order is the word I don't like too :P

Just have a look at Trezors "owners" :)
Well there is always a risk in everything we do in our life :)

Kind regards.  BTC

I don't know guys, this one looks extra scammy.

I don't remember them having an "ANN" thread or anything here in BitcoinTalk.  I'd wait until a Sr. or Hero member/developer got their hands on these to confirm the company's legitimacy.

Okay this confirms the scam for me:

If you go to https://www.hashcoins.com/company/contact/ (https://www.hashcoins.com/company/contact/) , their "headquater" is mispelled and their company is friggin' CGI'ed:

Stay far away!

And look here:

They are not a scam.
