I think that bitcoin is the one which has an edge in the market and in my opinion Bitcoin can not be challenged by another coin and i love to say that people who have crypto holding now they are very lucky because they can get benefit from it and when the market recover many new projects will start this for payment currency so bitcoin can be the leader now and in future too,

The market didn't crashed in moments,it just happened all the way through this year so people are ready to face it for now I hope but taking decision to sell their coins is really a bad idea in my opinion since we are at bottom for now selling will cause huge loss so holding little bit longer can give us hope the prices to increase in the near future or later.

It is just some sell off
Bitcoin is still best performing  asset in the world
Apple  stock lost more than 50% from 1 October and not only Apple
That is crash because Apple  is not emerging asset like btc
We have still news about Bitcoin ML but we have no investigations done when banks are suspected for money laundering
Now we have that DB scandal
Will be somebody jailed somebody will pay from his own pocket
We have really big scandals related to big companies  but gov is always helping them at the end
In  theory govs represent people but it is only theory
Now somebody pay to create bad news about btc meanwhile NYSE Nadaq is highly interested to list bitcoin like a asset

Do not worry you so much - everything will be fine with Bitcoin in the future. True, I think the future will come somewhere in a year and more.
The governments and banks that are now waging a war with Bitcoin will soon join the blockchain themselves and then we will see a bitcoin resurgence.

Even how good the analyzation is, no one knows what will happened to the future. There are lots of reasons to become optimistic even with the current situation like this. Bitcoin still has decent value compare years ago although it's really a disappointment for those who purchased at higher prices.

So what are we going to do now? Will just cry and will stay disappointed forever? There are lots of ways to take advantage of the current cryptomarket status not just in bitcoin. We just have to think outside the box or much better if we will removed totally the box.

Focus on our goal why we choose to become part of bitcoin community in the first place. The moment we enter here, we should understand the risks we are facing.

I am not an astrologer so can't really say what is gonna happen to the market. In fact, no one will be able to! All we can do is watch and monitor the market closely and find opportuntiy points where you can execute trades to earn some profit.

However, if we really want to see the positive energy back in the market, we must start using bitcoin as a currency and not as an investment! Holding up loads of bitcoins in our coffers is not going to show us good times! Healthy Circulation of any currency is generally good for the value and trust of that currency.

Obviously, a reversal should happened. But we need to wait a bit further as there's no significant news to push the price, I'm expecting that 2019 will be a good start because of the BAKKT offerings.

Most of the time, its better not to do anything. But if you have some extra funds then I suggest you take advantage by purchasing because the price is so cheap.

Yes, we all need to be positive and optimistic that the market will reverse and we will see another bull run. No need to listen to bullshits FUD going around. Used your common sense and I'm sure that we will see potential growth next year.

This questions now is becoming asked by most bitcoin users or holders for its crash for several days. I think bitcoin will be maintaining the existence or it doesn't mean the end of bitcoin and other major crypto. As we know that this is not the first time that bitcoin ever crash or break down the price, even bitcoin was ever on lower than it. One should be remember is don't be a panic for it.

I hope a new recovery stage starts after the end of this cycle. All these prices fluctuations are very strange, it smells manipulation, so only whales can revert the scenario, when they see the price reached on a good baseline for them (dumped enough), it's probable they will start putting money in the market again, so the little investors will have a chance to join the new wave, growing their investment too.

Another factors like new developments, regulations, adoptions, news in general may influence, but I think the whales play the biggest role on it.

I am not a big fan of the conspiracy theory, but I think there is something misterious behind all of this (something big).
Only powerful organizations with a lot of money (or governments) can manipulate the crypto market like that.
Whatever the cause of this, I hope things will get better for the sake of all of us.

Want good news?Just wait for the Bakkt launch and the ETF approval.Those aren't good news for me,but if you think that they are good news,good for you then.By the way,the situation isn't critical,only the noobs think that it is critical.It's pretty normal for a market to have a big price crash from time to time.

Year 2018 has shown that cryptocurrency is very unpredictable with almost all predictions on bitcoin had failed. Even the expected fourth quarter bull run seems to be buried in the ground. Now, how could we predict of what will happen to bitcoin. Crypto analysts are actually staying low towards the end of the year.

Bakkt, Nasdaq and otherr investors wanting to get in? I'd say we're in for yet another tremendous gains should the 2017 pattern repeat, but that's not an easy feat. We're still pretty much in a bear market, and projections state that we could even hit lower figures should this continue. Hopefully these institutional investors save us from the carnage, and let 2019 be a year of good things for bitcoin.

This will change in a few years (or maybe sooner) when the adoption phase kicks in, but for now, to the average joe and most of the btc users, holding coins just to increase your chances of getting profits once the market starts a bullish trend outweighs the need of wanting to spend coins to purchase stuff.

Things will change once there's a solid regulatory framework in place (and also once the lightning network goes mainstream) that can encourage more merchants to start accepting bitcoin and other cryptos as payment, and this will encourage people to spend their btc .

It seems to me that even before the spring of 2019 there will be a decrease in the entire market to the levels of 2300-2600 for bitkin. Next will be the accumulation of assets and then possible further growth, but it's just a theory...

If you went in at a higher price then you cannot sell. It will be a fools decision to exit in a big loss. There are better ways to make more while waiting for a higher valued bitcoin which I think will happen but not just now.

Help the community to be more open and do not let them be in panic everytime the price goes down. It will not help but will just make it worse.

The real problem is now is they can do it instantly. Trading websites are all over and whenever they feel they are in a losing side, they sell without thinking it twice. It is a sad reality but it really happens. Small buyers are the most affected by it. Maybe we could start there and give them the truth of what risk they have taken and should not be in a hurry to sell their coins.

Just like any market crash out their after the end of it we will see that Bitcoin will recover. Look the demand for Bitcoin isn't gone yet and other businesses as well as the government are still preparing for the regulations to come for the industry, they are not fazed by the fact that the market is crashing and they still continue their way on how they will adapt with cryptocurrencies in the global way. Mining difficulty has decreased, Bakkt has partnerships with Starbucks and Microsoft, Institutional investors have a chance to be part of the market all of these are goods news and will be translated to demand soon it is just that we are in the wrong side of the market cycle that is why even bullish news have no effect on the market.

Still nothing bad had happened to this place. We are still on the profit as we saw that in 2013 the prices continued to decrease for three years and no one was there to support it and only the halving helped the price to recover while this time there are many companies and institutions in the support of it and the halving is also coming ahead.

The next big thing to happen on bitcoin will be recovering from the current downfall market. Do not ask me when that will be happening. But that is the thing going to be happen hereafter. It may take time but definitely it will happen.

After this crash, it will be another days of the market that will be on spotlight again. Those haters of bitcoin would turn again to lovers because all they see now are the good days of it.

Rampant of positive predictions would still come and even higher will be said. When the market turn upsidedown, it will be another greatest moment for bitcoin and expect that there will vast number of people that will be interested to it again.

I don't see this time around as critical as what you are emphasizing. What we see right now in the market. And tthe price are dropping but we should consider this as an opportunity to have profit in the future.

Pretty sure everyone is waiting for the market to recover but its really hard to tell when will it happen, not to mention, we could still experience huge price drops along the way. But as long as the market's fluctuating, there's an opportunity.

There are only 2 kinds of people here on this crypto world. One is hater and one is the believer but current conditions can potentially make bias commentaries
so I'm aint surprised on whats happening.

I really like your ideas and the move you take by cashing out for Christmas because there's always a down trend of the crypto market when it almost the end of every year and the best thing to do is to cash out during the working days when the market seems to be making some pumping price so ones can sell at little or more profitable price and then wait for another opportunity to enter the market again.

bitcoin will become more radiant if all the coins and team dev make improvements in all their activities because users and investors need it all for the profit they want after being slumped in this year. I think users and investors are now starting to fret about the market trend that continues to decline and if this continues they will leave and it is difficult for crypto to be able to persuade them to return. let's all be optimistic about crypto and give the best without needing to create FUD or other clutter for temporary gain and that is not good for long-term crypto

What would be the next?
Well, every one of us just like waiting for sunshine will come after the storm happened. Just like in crypto we are waiting for a bull run after this bearish trend market and hopefully, it will happen. People now hoping on that especially this season a Christmas season we need financial support to buy stuff on this season's coming. Probably others they already pull out their investments which is not good.

It might go down more then go up again the future. The bear market this year than the previous one and might even spill on the first quarter of next year. It will be a hard time for the cryptocurrencies and the investors but this bear market will not last long. Those who still believe in the ability of the cryptocurrencies to bounce back and patiently wait for it will be rewarded later.

I guess this time is a waiting game for everyone. Whales are obviously delaying all bull trends because they see a lot of people still wants crypto and also inside it.

Even though I expect more lose on BTC price which we can see 2k prices, selling BTC that you have is really a bad idea. Because it is not the time and this realize your huge loss. Thus, holding for a while and waiting for raise on the prices seem preferable. At this stage, use of BTC as a currency is critical within a reasonable time and BTC must be transformed to a currency from an investment tool which it is now.

As usual, they have been in the market and never say any single good word when the market starts to slump. Yes, this ain't a surprise anymore but this is the reality that usually happens.

We've used to it so its not surprising anymore when we see the market move sideways.

The major challenges btc market is facing isn't something that started at once but gradually. So my thought on this is that the time for it to pick again won't just spike but will move gradually.

After this bear cycle ends we shall see a slow n steady upward trend as the good news starts getting in 2019. And for now, it's better not to look into the market much and focus on something else may be your work, studies whatever.

In order for the market to rebound, the world's financial markets must recover. Whales here are big investors in the stock market. When the recession ends and it starts to grow again, we will be rich.

Yes that is true, cryptocurrency gives colors to everyones life. It is because if you have crypto your life will be easy it is because it can be done with transaction and can fullfil the warmth that all of us wants and can buy what we really wnated and needs in life, BTC is joyful to all.

What you are mentioning is having nothing to do with the current critical situation of bitcoin price levels. Bitcoin is always the leader and it will become the primary currency for new projects an well as for existing projects without any doubt on it. But OP is asking about what is going to happen next in bitcoin market. My answer should be the "recovering" is going to happen.

I think we are going to a level where it would be really hard to stay. I mean even this price is really difficult to stay but bitcoin manages to hang around here thanks to low volume in both bitcoin and in crypto as general however as soon as something good happens in crypto world and money comes back into the play and starts to pour in believe me it would be really difficult not to go up.

Hence, I don't know when it will happen but the price will start to go up, maybe tomorrow maybe December 2019 who knows but it will start going up. Only reason for me to say this is that the lower the amount goes the higher amount whales buy, I have seen $8k+ bitcoins bought all together as soon as it reached 3.4 thousand dollars, think about how much they will buy if it reaches anything under $2.5k.

Overall, I think whales believe these prices are great and they will help us balance the buy/sell orders.

Bitcoin now is really down so expect the next thing to have is the rise.
If this will occur then another big slide will be on our market soon.

Like others investment market, there is end for this bear market. Hopely soon market will recover and bouncing up again in near future. I am believe cryptomarket will survive like a several years ago.

Others are saying BTC will recover again at the end of December and go back to its fix price to 10k and above, But I doubt that will happen because of the chaos happening now on the crypto market.

Yeah i believe that after lows, highs is the next thing to happen so 2019 would be a great year for the btc. Recovery is just  a step closer and more will be rejoicing once again.

There's no certain  things that can possibly happens  but as long as you trust this market bounce back will happen after this huge downfall, it will take time as it is as many spectators are just pausing for a whole and waiting for a good sign before they will buy back again and make a good value for their investment, you have to assess carefully and make sure you fully understand your next move to avoid being trapped from this unstable market.
