Title: I'm hoping to see coin prices decline A LOT in the next couple months.
Post by: Paycheck on December 05, 2018, 03:10:38 AM
Over the next few months, I want to see coin prices crash big time.  Go WAY down, before recovering in the spring and booming again.

Why do coin prices need to drop a lot?  Simple.  So I can buy in cheap and maximize my profits during the next big coin price surge.

I'm already HODLing 5400 Ripple XRP, and I'd like to pick up some bitcoin, litecoin, and ethereum at rock bottom prices.

I'm also enjoying seeing bitcoin difficulty plummet, because miners are shutting down ASICs, because prices are dropping.  So difficulty drops, and prices drop, and more miners shut down, and so forth.

Will there be an even bigger boom than the last one which almost touched $20,000?  Absolutely.  I don't care if Tether is used to artificially manipulate the prices again or not.  All I care about is getting as much money as possible out of crypto coins.

So the next few months that you are expecting is already happened now as btc value and other altcoins have fallen a lot. So now for next couple of months it should be a good rise so that people who had being buying on lows make the money and also it will bring back the momentum in the bitcoin market.

In short, you are thinking of making a profit without doing anything. If this is your intention, investing in any low-risk investments is better than investing in cryptocurrencies because it is not the main purpose of setting up it.

I do not think we will get a drop below $ 3500 in the current situation or below $ 2000 in all cases so if you want long-term speculation, time may be perfect for buying.

By the way, such behavior will not help advance this technology.

I don't think this will happen in 2 years. According to the experience of most people who have experienced a bear market, the biger of the bubble, the longer the recovery time will be.
$20,000 is obviously a huge bubble for last year’s bitcoin.

At least the OP is brutally honest so say the least, as compare to those FUD trolls around who's predicting the demise of Bitcoin but we all know that they are secretly buying from behind, LOL. One thing I agree is that I still think that we haven't touch the bottom yet, we might see need to touch the (last)bottom for this year before we can see the price go on a bull run, it might take a bit longer to break or even touch $20,000 again, but if you're here for the long haul, its worth the wait.

I'm no tax expert, but all the people who mortgaged their house or otherwise dropped a lot of cash to buy coins during the last boom cycle - wouldn't they want to sell now in this year, to claim as much of a loss as possible, to do better on their taxes in a couple months?  I think they would want to see prices crash hardcore as well if this is the case.

The technology of crypto coins?  Yes, that's all well and good, and I enjoy reading about it as well, but making money is making money.  I didn't discover Bitcoin until April 2013, so you can imagine how much I have smashed my head through the wall for not knowing about coins sooner.

Time to pick up the pieces, take my best guess from what I have seen happen in the early 2013, late 2013, and late 2017 price boom cycles, and get my coin purchases in place for maximum PROFITS!

My initial purchases of XRP were around $2.15, and then it went to $3.80 and came back down.  Did I sell?  NO, I sat on my coins like a jackass!  So over 2018, and as XRP price fell more and more, I bought more and dollar cost averaged my way down.  Now when XRP goes over 76 cents a coin, I'll be in the profit zone.  I also bought some Stellar at something like 86 cents, but before long I traded it into Bitcoin, and then into XRP after a while.  I'm hoping to see Stellar get down under 10 cents.  The last time I added XRP was when it was down around 28 cents.

I'm looking for the bottom! ;D

Actually XRP and XLM now dominating ETH and other tokens also. I think people not hope less with ETH as market is going down and down. So people was searching to another tokens which may make him profit. So at present days XLM and XRP trading in huge volume and Exceed ETH in Coinmarketcap in number 2 position (XRP) and number 4 position (XLM). You are very good to see that you make a decision in right time.

Buy bitcoin while you can and it's buy time before you missed the train and i think all of bitcoin users should be consider when the price cheap then it's time to buy and i think the real investors have thinking just like this but unfortunately not all investors have same mind because when the price fall mostly they will dump their coins and quit

People do have different minds some might consider to get in but most of them already lost their confidence on purchasing into these prices. Its just a matter of risk
management and only those people who took the risk will definitely get the chance to make profits but well it is already been accompanied with loss.

So, right now the market is so much messed up kind of. Well, no matter what happens or however bad it gets, one thing is for sure, crypto is here to stay. One day, we'll surely get going up again and that time, tyre Will be no moving back. Best is to buy bit by bit with every dip, waiting for a bottom might not come and the next thing you'll see is another ATH.

But I'm sure this month is the last way the crypto market continues to fall and it looks like in the near future maybe there will be a big surge early in the year due to the effects of the current market collapse Whatever can happen in this market, so while you can afford to invest, now is a good time because the price is broken.

I do not know if all altcoins will recover, because in my way of seeing, in the next few years many altcoins will disappear because they have no practical use or because it has no popularity due weak marketing and lack of partnerships with big companies

I'm already HODLing 5400 Ripple XRP, and I'd like to pick up some bitcoin, litecoin, and ethereum at rock bottom prices.

Ripple is very strong and did not have a big drop in relation to bitcoin, only fell in relation to the dollar because the price of bitcoin fell, bitcoin will also recover in the future, but ETH leaves me with a lot of doubts. I do not think ETH will recover the price of $1200 again, it could be as high as  $500

I think so, when prices fall a lot complaining and they sell panic, for what? I am adding to my investment more now because of the big deacons on some famous coins and this has great potential to provide fantastic profits in the future. their fear is a good opportunity for me because without the present situation it is impossible for me to buy more for the future like the bitcoin under 2014 which is still cheap

The crypto market has not bottomed yet so it's most likely the market we'll go down even more possibly around $3000-2000 it would be wise to wait for a buying signal before buying while the market is crashing. Cause in the Q1 of 2019 there will be a huge bull run trust me ive joined a lot of ICO and they're all be launching in jan 1st.

Crypto will never have a future, if people are thinking how to make profit in fiat money.
BTC was not made for profits but in order to give the people an opportunity to control their own money without banks or other intermediaries.
If the majority thinks like you, cryptos will fail.

Haha… I was just laughing when I can across your reason for saying that. Lol, like seriously, so this is your plan. You’re not even the first person I’m seeing that’s saying this. No one is investing because they want to own cryptocurrency any longer or support the technology, you all just came for the profit. So who exactly are you going to dump it on? Me? Nah, that won’t work.

Already the prices fell over more than 90% in the last 11 months,do you still want the prices to fall more?
There is no reason to invest on any coins of the prices are in big crash from now just because the prices will continue to decline to none at some point.

Market has fallen enough as you said so it means now the time will come where the market will start to rise as well as volatility will continue and after some falling it has to rise. So be ready as you will be missing ride of the upward journey and probably you would have sold all the coins and holding none.

I mean, you using the term investing is showing that you're not even real here for the tech. Most people are here in bitcoin and the rest of the coins for profit, they don't care at all what the hell is going to happen with the tech itself. If they can make some good returns, then they're happy. That's the sad truth of the world.

The same as you haha. Each decline creates a great chance for buying more

While I used to think this was the truth, I really don't even know anymore. People have thought they were buying the dip all the way down from 20k, so are they really even buying the dip anymore?

In the past month, bitcoin and altcoin have fallen down. Since then, as a bounty hunter I did not really overlook the crypto market, they always say, just need to be patient because the bitcoin bitback will come back again and I can prove that the market rate will gradually increase and it would have really improved. because there are many people waiting for the crypto market increase, we just do not know when it will come out, it's hard to predict we can keep track of the increase in market pricess.

It is the right time to buy the coins as market is almost low at present and if it suddenly start rising in coming days then it will reach new high soon and then it will not be worth investing at that high prices. So better to start buying and stay holding the coins.

That's exactly what's happening a price manipulation in order to bring down the market for institutional investors to get in and buy in cheap and this could be also profitable for miners cause the decrease of mining difficulty has gone 15%. Another news is all ICO will launch in jan Q1 so we should all prepare a bullish trend.

Do crypto coins have a good technology and a good future?  It's possible.  But can the mass market of consumers handle it?  Probably not, for the most part.

Nowadays, your average non-technical Joe Idiot gets his paycheck, it is direct deposited to his bank, and all he has to do is take out his card at the ATM to get cash, or swipe his ATM card to buy pretty much anything.  That's the beginning, middle, and end of his financial concerns for the average day.  Now you go telling him that he has to make an account on a currency exchange, send in scans of his drivers license, passport, social security card, and last 3 pay stubs and some recent utility bills to confirm his address, so he can even buy a crypto coin of any kind, and then he could lose money by buying and selling at the wrong times, and he will say "Screw that noise", and walk away.

The more technical among us understand how to buy and hodl and sell coins, and it's no big deal.  But your average 9 to 5 moron walking down the street with their thumb up their ass won't get involved.  The process of buying and selling coins is simply far too complex for the ordinary jackass.  Even if they figured it out, they wouldn't fully understand the hows and whys of how it is done.

As for buying coins on the dip, I'm looking at which coins can give me the most profit, nothing else matters.

I'd like to buy 0.25 or 0.50 BTC, but if I buy at 3000, it has to rise to 6000 for me to double my money.  That's a pretty big step.  I want to own BTC but I'd have to get it CHEAP to have good profit potential.

If I buy Stellar at 10 cents, or Litecoin below $20, they don't have to rise as far to double, triple, or even more-ple my money.

Would I buy Ethereum?  Maybe, but it would have to come down in price a lot, like under $30.  Same for Monero.

I think Bitcoin Cash / Bitcoin SV is a load of crap, I probably won't buy any of them.

Tether price is always very close to $1.00 .  So no profit potential there.  Screw Tether.

I don't know anything about EOS, another top-10 coin on coinmarketcap, so I probably won't buy much, if any.  What is EOS even good for, and more importantly, how can I profit from it?

You know what we need?  Some collusion between some big money coin holders / miners and some big news media outlets.  Publish a few stories saying the ETFs will never happen, maybe a big security flaw, or some other bad news, to crash the coin prices.  Then the big buy-in happens at low low prices.  Then the news media says "oops, our bad, the source of the story lied or was proven wrong", then make up some great news, and the profit train leaves the station!

The price of coins has stepped down a few times in the last few weeks, I am hoping for one more good step-down, then maybe it'll be buy-in time.  Who knows?

I read stories of people whining how they mortgaged their house and lost big time when Bitconnect collapsed.  Know what I say?  Screw 'em.  They had no business being in a market they had no knowledge of.  As I have read in other places - "When your barber is getting in, it's time to get out".  So true.

By the way -- if anyone here does know of anyone who is controlling or manipulating the market, I would appreciate a PM with an email address or something, that leads to me getting some inside information so I can better place my limited funds, and when can I expect to sell at the peak and profit out.  I promise I won't tell anyone, that would not help my profits.  Thank you!  :)

If I were you, you should start learning to go in and out even if the price drops are not that high

Whoever's holding Litecoin or bought it now will be enjoying the surprise gains, wondering if some of the other big top10 alts will be seeing the same. All this temporary of course as they're definitely pumps.

I'm hoping things stabilize for a few months but I guess seeing new bottoms a couple times more should be expected. 2019 is not looking like a year to rally based on most technicals. I'll just sit here and eat stale popcorn.

I just have some dust amounts of Litecoin in HitBTC might as well see and take a look at see if I can sell them.  ;D. Of course all alt coins pump are temporary so we need to take advantage of it.

I agree 2019 will be a another period of accumulation but I do hope that we won't see bottom price specially for bitcoins. We really need to see it as a opportunity and take the risk and enjoy the rewards in 2020.

No its not based on the patterns but it is rather based on the mood of the people.  If someone feels good , then they will sell their coins in which it can result for the price to decrease but if someone feels that they want to hodl more . then  you can expect that the price will stabilize and wont fluctuate .

@op
No please  .  dont hope or even pray that cryptos will fall off because most of us will only suffer . dont be so selfish bro ,  youd better think about the status of other people .

Your hope to see bitcoin and ethereum declines a lot comes true. It is now the good chance to buy from it before it rise again and beat their highest peak last 2017.

We are seeing some 200$ rise has happened in last 12 hours. It has crossed now 3500$ which is some sign of recovery to happen. Those who are smart would have bought when it was almost bottom out near 3k levels and still a good price to buy.

it is not a smart buy when you bought a coin with the near bottom of 3000k dollar it is a good timing, and yes if you bought some coins in the market with a low price then people are on the profit now, being a smart is good but it is better if you are on the right timing buying with coins in the market.

I understand you are talking with respect to bitcoin and in that case when more number of people like you when looking for selling their holding then those 90% downfall may continue. I like to suggest people like you to look for making use of your coins for your day to day life instead of looking for selling in the open market. If you do not have enough infrastructure for using your bitcoin in your life then you must keep holding your bitcoin and should wait for better prices like $100k or million dollars and situations where you can use/sell them.

Over the next few months, I want to see coin prices crash big time.  Go WAY down, before recovering in the spring and booming again.
Why you want to see prices crashing big ? Is there any specific reason for that ? But, you have not mentioned about that. People are praying for crashing for the reason of buying for lower prices. At the same time some other people are praying for booming. Only time will answer who is going to make their wish coming true.

It is good and I think it is good thing to see the price falling because it gives more chances to buy high amount of bitcoin at very low price. So I think he/ she must saying this because same as millions of investors they want to buy low and hold to sell high later in future.

That’s already a big loss for all of us, and I think we already hit the bottom so I don’t expect the price to go lower than $3k for bitcoin. Yes, we want to see the market to pump again so we can take profit, but its hard to see that level again because of too much manipulation in the market. The future is still good and hoping for a great run in the first quarter of 2019 so we can have the chance to sell out our coins.

That's right, for people who have bought bitcoin at the price of $ 3300 some time ago, it is certain that they will get a big profit now. Based on coinmarketcap, the price of bitcoin rose to $ 4000 and remained stable, after previously only stabilizing at prices of $ 3300 and $ 3500. This is just a lesson for everyone who is going to buy bitcoin, don't just keep watching from hoping that bitcoin prices continue to decline even deeper, it's good that you set aside money to buy and the rest you can watch out when prices decline again.

A lot of whales are also waiting to buy in cheap, they are stepping on each others toes to get in the door.  When bitcoin hits 3k levels there is simply too much buying pressure.  You can be too greedy by not selling but it can also backfire by waiting for cheap prices that may never be hit again, always cost average your buys.

You are right mate people are happy to buy bitcoin and waiting for the opportunity to buy at very low price of 3k dollar. Whales use to plan and sell high amount of coin to make the market down. For this purpose they use new users and make them sell panic but in actual fallen price is to buy more and store for long.

You’re just wasting your time. Keep on waiting, you will be surprised when what you’re expecting won’t be what will happen. The price will go up and its already doing that.

Although I do think this is just for this December period, maybe price is just going up and after December it will drop again. But instead of you waiting for when price will crash heavily, just because you want to buy from the bottom, why not buy it now, cause it’s still cheap.

Already the prices fell over more than 90% in the last 11 months,do you still want the prices to fall more?
There is no reason to invest on any coins of the prices are in big crash from now just because the prices will continue to decline to none at some point.

Bitcoin prices will not fall more as you can we we jumped from 100 Billion market cap to 129 Billion now and still rising. I think we are down with the all time low for this year and now is the time for crypto to boom.

This is the tendency to happen when you do wait up too much or patiently waiting for the bottom price which isn't still discoverable.Yet we know that Crypto is indeed a very unpredictable market.
Regarding on my buying behavior I do always buy up when I do see its already the bottom. If it did dip even more then buying out again. Its risky but the tendency of percentage loss would lessen
unless if you have bought all in on a certain one point than making gradual buy orders.

The price of the coin has already dropped much, I don’t see why you should be looking forward to any more decrease in price, although I have seen a lot if people say that there will be a decrease to $2500 but I don’t really know how accurate that would be, cause a lot of predictions (if not all) this year were totally wrong. Even if it does go down to that, it isn’t much difference and anyone can still buy from it.

Regarding on my buying behavior I do always buy up when I do see its already the bottom. If it did dip even more then buying out again.
Keep buying at every dips will give you better results over the course of time. Because, you will never miss another opportunity just due to the reason of waiting more. Regular buying at dips is the most recommended way of ensuring not missing big opportunities.

Everyone wants it, which is to get a lot of benefits from crypto. But what we expect is not always right because sometimes the market moves not in accordance with what we expect or predict. I agree with you who have held ripples for the future because I am very sure of the potential of the ripple.

Most digital currencies have made a big dive to the bottom. with a total value of $ 6 billion! The number is not imaginary at all, if you want to invest, you should hurry to buy at these diving moments.
The biggest loss was Ripple and Ethrium, according to Coinmarketcap data. After rebounding slightly from last week's loss, Ithrium barely floats above $ 150, and the XRP is floating around $ 0.32 per currency.
etheruem  reached $ 85 in  December last year. If you buy in theis price, you will have a 100% profit or more .

Market varies due to volatility it involves and prices fluctuate a lot due to this . At present would say market is really on lower end and also a good time to buy and store for future . Coins would depend upon once choice of research and risk which they can take .

Currently bitcoin is 3500$ almost and when you say that the support is too strong at 3000$, means that bitcoin will not go below 3000 dollars. The difference between 3500 and 3000 is only 500$ and this is the best time to buy the bitcoins and even if it falls to 3000$, it will surely cross 3500$ again and further up.

ETH price has been declining recently , even bitcoin took a plunge and is down from $4000 to $3600 as of recently. XRP has taken the second position with a little difference between the market cap and that ETH market cap. I’m not surprised, with all these hard fork lined up, ETH is going to drop further, but after the forks, I believe the market will recover.

As for BTC ,that’s one coin I don’t want the price to drop anymore, the price has already dropped a lot ($3.6k should be bottom). I’m seeing predictions that it might drop to $2k, but some are saying that would be after it reaches $5k

For you it’s only 500$ but for so many people it means allot. Price has started to be normal once again because participants are increasing day by day. I don’t think it will decline further infect in some areas it’s rising above 4000$ that’s why agreeing with you I must say no time can be better than now to buy bitcoin.

It's Ethereum for God's shake, obviously it took a nose dive for almost a year now. Why would I hurry to buy when the market is getting worst? As investors, sometimes it's better to stay out of the market. Let it settle down or at least look for a upward trend because entering again. Be wise and smart, here, otherwise you will just ended with a big loss again this year.

yes eth is the greatest loser last year but even other cryptos like bitcoin and others do also experience a hard slump  .

with thise kind of market it safe to say that this is the best time to buy and invest because all coins were still freakin cheap . if you are really an investor you would not waste your time waiting because cryptos are verry unexpected and unpredictable  .

and also  ,  the market is not getting worst but this is just normal  . cryptos are useful and in the future they can always rise   , so dont be afraid buddy  .

That is a very good way, but if what you imagine will come true, we know that the market can move up or down in accordance with the demand on the market. But it seems that there will be a lot more despair if this market continues to decline.

WAY down may not happen, Think about it, think about the amount
of buy orders that will kick in before the price reaches even $2500.

You are right about the difficulty level for mining falling, if it goes low
enough we could see small time miners setting up to try and get some
mining reward for themselves.

Dont get em wrong, I think there are a lot of people who want low
prices to increase their holdings.

The issue of coins going down will cease to amaze a lot of people very soon and every body who are fond of predicting that price will continue to go down. The reason is simple people would be get used to the low range of price and would forgo the never ending thirst to see price rise to the all time high of 2017 and the moment that reality has been achieved, it ceased to bother people whether the prediction is about how high the price will go or how bad the price will move towards.

The market is stable and looks for some catalyst the bring the bull run on the screen but there is no news like that yet to make it happening while the other people just keep dumping their coins and not able to recover at all so there will be a price decline if we are not going to get any positive for crypto market in the next few months.

Its too good for us and too bad for those people who always panic sell. The decline is so alarming but if you will just open your eyes, you can see the better opportunity lies beneath the false curtain. I actually bought few coins within the market range now and not bother if it drops down a little because im sure it will increase this year.
