Title: Bitcoin started to Die.
Post by: Buttermellow on December 05, 2018, 09:59:07 AM
As other investment scam being introduced from all other parts of the world bitcoin could be consider one of them. It has been slowly dying now because people do not believe on it already. Why? Bitcoin has no use and only few of the establishment uses bitcoin as a form of payment system and as an asset for the users.

If you don't believe in Bitcoin, don't publish fake news. This a just correction. After that Bitcoin will recover it's own price again. Just wait and see what happens after few days.

You are wrong. The number of businesses accepting Bitcoin is actually increasing.
I will give you 2 examples from this year:
1. 130 Coffee Shops in Europe Started to Accept and Sell Crypto (https://cointelegraph.com/news/130-coffee-shops-in-europe-started-to-accept-and-sell-crypto)
2. Pay Taxes With Bitcoin? Ohio Says Sure (https://www.wsj.com/articles/pay-taxes-with-bitcoin-ohio-says-sure-1543161720)

Yes, the market looks bad right now. But Bitcoin is far from dying.

If you are saying this just due to the price decline of bitcoin, they you should probably be saying the same thing for 99.99% other cryptos as well. The entire market is going down including bitcoin. It is not the exceptional case where only bitcoin is going down, so correct your statement as "Cryptos started to die" as that makes more sense to others!

Accepting bitcoin as a payment method is a different ball game all together! It is not because of the pricing of bitcoin but because of the unclear legal framework. In majority of the countries no clear legal framework has been given and that's the reason why businesses are not showing interest to accept bitcoin as a payment method. You visit Singapore and Japan and you can literally spend for all kind of expenses using bitcoin there because the governments are supportive to bitcoin.

It is not the fault of the coin, instead it is just the fault of the government and the policy makers who failed to understand the potential! The current phase of bitcoin is an opportunity phase. Those who will understand they will silently buy instead of screaming out of fear, those who fails to understand, will exit! At the end of the day, there is one winner only because opportunities are not for everyone to devour!

People use bitcoin as a form of payment and it is a fact and they also see the prospect of buying it. In the market, the correction and fall is normal this does not mean that bitcoin will not start to grow and people who do not believe in it and begin to sell will be very strong to regret it. I think so !

Maybe try and watch some long-term charts instead of focussing just on the 2018 ones?
All I'm seeing is steady growth. Sure, use of Bitcoin as a payment processor can be greatly improved upon, but we're on the right track for that.

Disruptive new technologies like Bitcoin take years, even decades to fully mature. It's still way too soon to say whether it has failed or not.

Edit:

Just a few months ago you were saying this:

Quote
Yeah it is really true that cryptocurrency is always risky but it is still worth it especially for those who take the risk. For those who feared about cryptocurrency then well just let them be because they dont know how much worth to enjoy the moment you take the profit though it might also end up losing on some of your money yet investing in a smart way could be successful like buying crypto when market price has fallen and sell it when market price is high.

It's booming on some parts of the world in terms of usability, and no, price alone isn't enough of an indicator to say that bitcoin is dying as infrastructures and businesses using at are still on the rise. One of the main reason as to why bitcoin lost its footing above $10k is the exhaustion of the money that came in from VC funding, futures market and the Gox trustee using the exchanges in selling a ton of its coins for the compensation of its funders that lost their money on the 'hack'. Most of the faint-hearted weak hands have already left the market, but the pioneers are still on the game, with institutional investors stepping in boldly.

YEAH, bitcoin has no one using it or believing in it. It's so right that your opinions are representative of the whole population. Whatever would we do without your great wisdom to guide over us?

Seriously. How many of you guys come here just to spread negativity wasting our time and your own.

simply the fact that so many newbies are calling bitcoin dead these days it means that bitcoin is stronger than ever because it has attracted all kinds of people not just those who invested in early days who silently keep buying bitcoin but also a lot of newbie kids who think spreading nonsense about bitcoin can help them buy more of it. looking at this board these days you can see at least a dozen of them hard at work every day. ;)

I am also starting to think like that since Bitcoin is steadily flowing down without stop and may not come back again.

Bitcoin has not yet begun to die because many investors are still looking at the value of bitcoin prices today and investors believe that once the bitcoin price is back then the money they earn will be enough.

It is not dying as it is established already as a payment method in many places.

I think this decline is not a sign of bitcoin's death, bitcoin only lowers the price and it won't easily die because too many people believe it and even want to have it.

Honestly, even I am not professional with this crypto or bitcoin normal motion, I am optimistic that the person behind will not allow bitcoin to die. This means that the decline could be part of strategy to let bitcoin talk everywhere in this planet. The decline is not the indicator to die rather the indication that possible increase could happen.

It has been slowly dying now because people do not believe on it already.
Just because the price doesn't go up it doesn't mean that people have given up on bitcoin. It's true that there's no hype or interest from the general public but it's mainly related to how slow this year has been, one the bear market is over and we see a clear reversal from bearish to bullish, you can be sure that bitcoin will attract a lot more people.

Bitcoin has no use and only few of the establishment uses bitcoin as a form of payment system and as an asset for the users.
Merchants are adopting Bitcoin as payment everyday, just because you don't see it, doesn't mean that it's not happening. And we're actually making some progresss regarding bitcoin as a payment option, for example, merchants using Coingate are now able to receive payments via lightning network [1], this is a major step forward as there's no doubt that more and more merchants will be interested in accepting btc as a payment method in the future.

Bitcoin's concept is very different from an ordinary scam scheme. It was designed to be a decentralized global currency, it has a usage, it makes transactions worldwide simpler, less bureaucratic and accessible for everyone who have just internet connection.

On the other hand, scam schemes consist in a person taking everyone's money and sharing it with the first investors, while the last ones lose money... A very simple and mediocre concept to be compared to Bitcoin.

Of course fraudsters will automatically go extinct, because they see that prices are declining, and they assume that prices will not rise again, they think that the fraud they run will not work anymore, there are still many investment platforms that survive. , because they consider that their platform is liked by people who feel confident about the platform they are using.

Dying? are you even sure on what you are saying? It is true that the cryptocurrency market is in a bad condition but it is not the reason for the bitcoin to die. Actually, the bitcoin is becoming more popular and its community is growing more.

yes, indeed, the bitcoin isn't dead yet. the problem is now that it's getting longer and more and more interested in bitcoin, and that also makes bitcoin survive. because there are still many who believe in bitcoin, the longer the bitcoin will increase. even though the market is currently experiencing difficulties.

It has been slowly dying now

dying? the price is $ 3800, how is this is dying?

because people do not believe on it already.

people do not believe it So how do you explain this:

Poloniex Joins Fight for Institutional Investor Market With Dedicated Accounts (https://cointelegraph.com/news/poloniex-joins-fight-for-institutional-investor-market-with-dedicated-accounts)

P2P Markets Report: Dumping Drives Record Volume Across Latin America and Asia (https://news.bitcoin.com/p2p-markets-report-dumping-drives-record-volume-spikes-across-latin-america-and-asia/)

Venezuela

It appears that the popularity of BTC among Venezuelan citizens continues to grow exponentially, despite the introduction of the national cryptocurrency, the petro.

This past week, the week of Dec. 1, the Venezuelan Localbitcoins market posted record weekly trade volume for the seventh time in nine weeks when measured in fiat currency, and the sixth time in the last nine weeks when measured in BTC.

Approximately 1,296 BTC has been traded over the past week, equating to 2.38 billion Venezuelan bolivars ($238.3 million) worth of BTC changing hands.

Colombia and Peru

The trade action of recent weeks has also seen P2P volume surge across other Latin American markets. Colombia and Peru, for example, have posted record BTC volume for two consecutive weeks.

Roughly 596 BTC changed hands in exchange for Colombian pesos (COP) last week, while 186 BTC was traded for Peruvian sol (PEN).

When measured in fiat currency, Colombian hit record volume during the week of Nov. 3, with 8.1 billion COP ($2.55 million) worth of BTC changing hands.

Peru posted record fiat volume for the week of Oct. 20, with nearly 3.15 million PEN ($931,730) worth of BTC being traded.

Argentina and Chile

The Argentinian and Chilean P2P markets also posted record volume for the week of Nov. 10 when measuring in fiat, with 8.25 million Argentine pesos ($220,730) and 243.5 million Chilean pesos ($363,000) worth of BTC changing hands throughout the seven-day period.

South Korea

A number of Asian P2P markets have also shown significant strength in recent weeks, with several markets posting the strongest trade seen in over 12 months, when measured in BTC. This past week, the South Korean P2P markets posted the sixth strongest volume on record with 74.3 million Korean won ($66,715) worth of BTC exchanging hands.

The week of Dec. 1 was also the strongest South Korean trade recorded since July 2017 when measured in BTC, with 16 BTC changing hands.

Bitcoin has no use and only few of the establishment uses bitcoin as a form of payment system and as an asset for the users.

dude, you can see that bitcoin is walking towards a bigger adoption, you wanted what? that all countries of the world would immediately accept bitcoin as a means of payment in their countries, and that the bitcoin price would only increase and never drop? this is what you want?

Regarding the words that Bitcoin has died, I suggest not to mention it again. This will not happen, and for Bitcoin, not only will it not die, it will be getting better and better, but now it is not yet time, because of the bitcoin is now just a newborn baby, it is not ready to enter the society. When everything is ready, you will see its true strength.

Why after the fall of the market this year, many are beginning to shout that cryptocurrencies are dying. 90% of forum visitors came here to participate in the bounty. Nobody wants to understand the reasons for the market decline. Meanwhile, the situation is simply repeated. Look at the statistics for the past years and you will see that this is not the first time. By capitalization bitcoin exceeds the annual budget of many countries. And you're talking about his death.

Why are you becoming pesimistic? When Bitcoin price rises people become fans. On the other hand when price falls, people get panic. Yes, it may be normal. But for a crypto investor, they shouldn't panic & be sure about the situation. Coin market it down right now but it'll recover very soon.

What you think so you think bitcoin will slowly die, because prices are declining. For people who are panicking, they will doubt Bitcoin and lose their trust in bitcoin, and I think it's natural because basically they think bitcoin is an investment that can provide overnight profits.

If Bitcoin is not seen as a payment method or seen as a scam currency it would have died before now, if you trace back to 2011 Bitcoin was $1 if am not mistaking and the rapid growth of bitcoin should indicate to you that it is not a dying currency

Lol probably no, he bought the piece of the pie at enormous price.  Now that Bitcoin price dived, he panic and thought that it is the end for Bitcoin without researching its current market coverage.  Well if OP wanted to at least break even, he should spread his buy now that the price is low, better if he can buy more if Bitcoin goes down to less than $3k.  That will at least lower his average lost if Bitcoin recovers.
