Title: New scam schema on the forum - Free Money To Test Casinos
Post by: seoincorporation on December 07, 2018, 12:54:08 AM
So, we have a new scam schema in the forum, and want to give a warning to the community.

Users create an account and make a post offering $17 to test their casino as we can see in the image:

Then they told you, to withdraw you only have to place a bet, your bet will win, and after that, they will ask you for a depo to verify your account and that way you will be able to withdraw.

And i know this because i get scammed by them some weeks ago, i think it worth the risk to lose 0.01 for the chance to withdraw 0.7btc... I lose that money and learn the lesson, but if the forum doesn't stop these fuckers lot of user will get scammed with this schema. So, be careful people because they will not stop creating accounts and spamming.

What i want to propose is to block Brand new and newbies accounts to post links.

Scams are not moderated but you can report these as "ref link spam", or perhaps just "spam" if they're on the wrong board.

Worth to take the risks? After all that you are in crypto for long period now, it's totally an obvious sh*t even just by reading their post. They will make you win 100% and that's it.

Also along the process, you will eventually understand that the process of claiming the reward is totally a sh*t. You can test the waters without risking the amount. The other one related is installing a browser extension which from there, already an obvious scam.

Well then you learned your lesson. Greed is sometimes not good.

Here's another example of the thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5081243.0) that was posted on the Gambling board. These $17 bonus threads have been spammed on the gambling board multiple times and everyone who replied were suspicious about it. I tried to look for the older threads but couldn't find them I guess they're already deleted by the mods.

And according to DarkStar_'s trust rating the site also involves malware extension so mention that when you report any of these threads to moderators.

What i want to propose is to block Brand new and newbies accounts to post links.

They would simply post the links like this - instead of:

http://www.google.com

They will post:

Google (dot) com

So it won't help, right?!

We actually fell for this scam:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5077276.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5078190.0

We would be happy to see no one else getting scammed neither, but HOW?!

Why won't we collectively contact the domain/registrar where he creates all these scam sites and get him arrested once and for all?!

Just looking at their offer it's crystal clear it's a scam attempt, and it's really a cheap scam, that I do not expect anyone to fall victim to, except of course you wanna gain far more than is possible.
But nonetheless reporting the issue is the best way to warn others about such, so they do not get to lose like you did

Sounds legit  :D

I've seen this scheme many times, someone offers you free funds and then ask you to deposit before cashing out. Before you know it, your funds are gone.
This should be first sign to stay away from site:

I don't think it is so hard to do little research before giving money to strangers.

The funny thing is I double checked the site.

Signed up via proxy on other ID and actually lost the bet.

My first sign up I won the bet with 5% win chance.

Now while goin to withdraw he ask me to install the extension on this site - https://cryptocashback.org/#

Just read what it does LoL now Im scared to withdraw but I might try with an empty wallet.

Installing shady extensions is how you compromise your browser. Just don't do it!

By simply controlling the greed of grabbing any thing that look like free/easy money

Why won't we collectively contact the domain/registrar where he creates all these scam sites and get him arrested once and for all?!

How Domain registrar is in fault ? Did you checked that business was registered or not? Did business looked legit? Did business model was sustainable?
if answer to any one of question is "NO" then do not deal with it.

The extension they ask you to install, is an extension who work with blockchain.com wallet, if you install the extension they will have access to all your addys.

The site where i get scammed was btcrolling, and after reviewing the site i was able to inject code. You can even inject code in your username, so that site is ready to get defaced.

I saved the links, so I could add it (it's a bit more work though). I'm still waiting for Vod's (BPIP) list of all banned accounts, which would make it much easier to remove the nuked ones from such a list.

Unbelievable, you as a legendary member is not as good as a beginner!
I met the same experience as you, but fortunately, I posted a question at Beginners & Help and avoided scam.
Someone on discord recommended me to gamble on a website and gave me a referral code. After that I won 0.6 BTC. When I withdraw, the website prompts "New user. Your balance have been frozen until you make a deposit. Need to make a Deposit 0.1 BTC!"
The URL of this website is here, please help me check if it is a scam.
https://bitcoinxbet.org/

I have not deposited any money so far, because my principle is not to deposit on unfamiliar websites.
It seems that sometimes high rank does not mean smarter.

Strange, report is still unhandled. In meantime:

Hey.

Website: https://btcroulette.eu/

How to get a bonus?

Enter this code: KOLO2019 in settings (promocode) https://btcroulette.eu/ )

IF YOU WANT WITHDRAW WITHOUT DEPOSIT, YOU NEED WRITE TO SUPPORT: "Hello, I want deposit" but before it you need to play one game in roulette from bonus money.

What is the reason for the site to give me a free bonus? This is a lie? - not. This website is absolutely unique and has no analogues. So they edited another thread with new site, changed crypton-exchange with btcroulette.

Brand new account popped in to spam crypton-exchange:

Hey.

Website: https://crypton-exchange.net

How to get a bonus?

Enter this code: HAPPY2019 in settings (promocode) https://crypton-exchange.net/profile#promocode_page )

I just found this thread, there is someone on the forums spamming his links to death, and every time the mods delete his account he posts with a new one. I hope people at least understand how a newbie account has nothing to lose, and trusting to use any service of theirs is most of the time going to be a shot in the foot.

I would like to add that whoever uses online wallets, then installs an unverified chrome extension, and logins to their online wallet using that extension.... was a disaster waiting to happen in the first place. Please increase your security, if you HAVE TO use online wallets or exchanges, only use ones that use 2FA or at least send you an e-mail whenever you want to do an action. It might be frustrating but it will save your money in case of anything like this. And don't ever install anything you're not confident of what it does, and of its source..

I feel sad for you and @Get-paid.com, but I can't feel sorry for you though. The naïveness involved to make such a mistake is not one of a crypto-holder.

Just click on "Report Abuse" and report it to Google - the more reports the faster this scam file would get off Google's website.

I'm not sure this is something new on the forum, but only this time it has a bit bigger proportions than before. Victims of such scams are usually inexperienced persons and probably 90% of them never even report that they are scamed. This time you fell into the trap, and it is easy to say now that you should know how old is this trick.

I can say it is much older then BTC, works on same scheme as Nigerian scam (https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/types-of-scams/unexpected-money/nigerian-scams). To get promised prize you only need to deposit some money as proof of identity, and when you done that it is game over. Scamed users sometimes ask why they can not get their money and get scamed again because they are asked for one more deposit, because first one is stuck.

I agree with you that we should prohibit link posting for Brand New&Newbie accounts, forum would have more benefit than harm from such rule.

I tried that crypton-exchange.net,i saw it in another forum. They gave .1 btc and .5 eth for free which is FISHY af! But out of curiosity i tried the roulette. I won .4 btc and tried to withdraw. Unfortunately you have to deposit .01 btc before you can withdraw all your funds. That is a modus for sure! Don't fall for it or you'll regret it forever.

thank you for posting this
but you should not trust an unknown site that offers you a freebie and then asks you to pay for:verification, transfer costs, "upgrades"
or, basically anything that requires you to transfer money first
rule of thumb: any pretext to get  your money so you are able to receive the payment = scam

I've reported his posts on many boards, guess Mods are all off.

"seoincorporation", you might want to include the following link to "OP": SCAM ALERT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038504.msg48050848#msg48050848)

Hello SFR10
Why haven't you leave a redtrust to this user (fake boob messaging)?

I was waiting for this user (BARADED (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954325)) to be permanently banned for "plagiarism" but since nothing has happened yet (and he/she continues to post fake stuff (https://archive.fo/I13a8#selection-4631.0-4739.41)), even though I reported the initial post, I'm posting the following now:
- Everyone refer to this post (DON'T TRUST THIS USER) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2855895.msg33154634#msg33154634)

1. Why would you pretend to be "Boobsgram" while all of the content (apart from the boobsgram image itself, that belongs to the actual boobsgram [not you]) that you used, belongs to Tittygram (https://tittygram.com/)?
2. Why you're charging more than them (they charge $19.95 for express and $39.95 for premium)?

I didn't check your other threads, but most likely I'll end up with similar results...

crypton-wallet.com

I believe this is the same scammer, account cryptonwallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2512230) advertised crypton-exchange http://archive.li/kCuWL, 4 threads have been removed by mod but I am pretty sure link to crypton-wallet was hidden under crypton-exchange in one of threads, unfortunately, I didn't archive correct one..

Witha hardware wallet should be hard to get hacked, unless if you have a copy of the private keys on an online wallet, that would be the vuln.

The scam continues with cryptoxbnbSCAMMERS.com, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5105848.0.

So, at the end all of these sites have something in common, and that's the chat as we can see in the images:

Title: Re: New scam schema on the forum
Post by: cryptofrka on February 04, 2019, 10:17:41 PM
I got contacted as well, have to admit that this scam is on a decent level.
First the cheater sends the money (he cant withdraw his winnings due to withdrawal limit), then the site doesnt let you withdraw without paying deposit fee (0.015 BTC). It also does not let you transfer it back to the cheater, therefore he starts attacking you for stealing his money. Then he comes with a 'solution' with a chrome addon which connects to your exchange wallet. When you reject, the attacks continue.
The cryptoxbnb site is crappy but support chat is working, there is money deposited on the deposit addresses that are generated - overall, it is something I see myself maybe falling for a year ago.

Ofc, there is no txID in your profile for receiving the scammer's BTC - it is just a fake number on screen.

The scammer's Telegram is @tuangard - I know they probably have multiple accounts and that they will probably replace them soon but just putting it out here.

So sad... I signed up, but didn't win! :(

So, I signed up again (mailinator email addresses FTW!)... and now apparently I need to deposit 0.02 to claim my "free" 0.0045... ROFL ::) :P Obvious scam is obvious... but sadly, there are a LOT of desperate people on these forums (and the internet in general) for whom 0.0045BTC is a LOT of money and very tempting :-\

Great work on keeping tabs on these scams team!

Users create an account and make a post offering $17 to test their casino as we can see in the image:
~
Then they told you, to withdraw you only have to place a bet, your bet will win, and after that, they will ask you for a depo to verify your account and that way you will be able to withdraw.
if you need to deposit money before you can withdraw your winnings, that means it's not free money, right?
people are too naive and short-minded when offered free money on the internet :P

Lol, This stupid scammers don't give up, do they?
it turns out there are more people more stupid ;) than those scammers who fall into this kind of scam
they are blinded by the opportunity to get free big money in a short time,
and willing to take risks with their money without thinking

new one https://tentatrade.com

Hello.

This website https://tentatrade.com/ provides a bonus of 0.0035 btc ($18)

How to get a bonus of 0.0035 btc (18$)?

Enter this code: YJBOPE in settings https://tentatrade.com/profile

What can I do with this bonus? You can instantly withdraw your bonus balance or play against other players and win more!

Attention!  When you withdrawing, you must enter the amount in bitcoins using a dot. Example "0.001". Do not use commas.

Withdrawal time usually takes no more than 1 hour. Documents and deposits are not needed.

What is the reason for the site to give me a free bonus? This is a lie? - not. This website is absolutely unique and has no analogues. Players playing against other players, not versus website, and the website will to receives a commission of 10% for each game and each withdrawal, 5% of this commission is invested by the website to invite new players.

They really don't want to stop, this is the third time I've seen this kind of scam, people are now aware of this scheme, once they let you win the prize and ask you to deposit, it is 100% scam, there will always new victims because people are not researching or asking people here, their greed gets the best of them.

i knew something wasn't right when i won close to $1500 on the first spin, and they requested approximately $85 to verify and withdraw.  I immediately shut it down and cleared my cache. my only regret is i used my fav to go to password, so now i have to go change the password on everything.

I won .55 btc on the roulette and got all the way to the page to download the extension. Then I searched around after seeing the extension Only had 14 downloads. I honestly could not find a single report related to the site or extension though. Still decided to back away.

I'm glad someone made this thread and I hope it saves someone before they fall for these tricks.

They also attempt to use telegram to lure in unknowning people. That's where I saw drepwallet.

Damn! i'm glad to know this thread save an ass. It's the same modus operandi i get some months ago, the rush that we feel after winning that half bitcoin makes us blind. At least you decide to google about the topic and avoid getting scammed, but i wasn't that lucky. Be careful because if you installed the addon is like a keyloger, so, you better change your private keys.

I just add the site to the list, thanks for share it.

I played that game and won it making my balance 0.05. Now when i went to withdraw it says to prevent abuse you should first deposit 0.015 BTC.

Thanks for the information Bitcoin_Arena and LoyceV, i just update the main post with the new site, do you think i should make a list of the users involved on the schema? I'm not sore about it because most of them get nuked, but if you say it, i will do it.

There's no need to list nuked users. But the bump spammers get away with it, it might be worth keeping track of those.

It's been deleted but I just saw, one posted in Bitcoin discussion, they keep going they just take a vacation for one month then create another one again, no domain same script same methods, they only need three deposits to make a profit, run away and come back after a month again.

Yeah bitmover he is the same guy, he basically changes websites and does the same shit over and over.

Once I did a deeper investigation and the owner of a related address was accused of scamming 10 BTC on 2017.

This never ends just saw one the other day, new name new design same deception, if newbies do not know this and he is greedy he will definitely fall on this I almost fall for this, maybe they are making a profit here for every round, because they will buy a new domain, pay for their host it will cost them $50 to $100.

A domain cost close to $7, and they can get free hosting in 000webhost, so, this is a cheap schema who really works, this is sad, hope we could find a way to stop them, but at the end there is nothing we can do, our only option is to inform the users about this schema and wait until the scammer get pwned.

A new wave of spam bot

Hello

This website: https://timecrypto.net/ provides a unique opportunity to get free 18$ 0.0018 BTC

How do I get this bonus? Use this code: WRFAU in your personal profile ( https://timecrypto.net/profile )

What can I do with this bonus? You can play a roulette game against other users of the site and win more, or you can instantly withdraw this bonus.

To withdraw do not need deposits and documents. On average, withdrawal takes no more than 1 hour.
What is the reason for the site to give me this bonus? This website is absolutely unique and has no analogues. This is not a casino. Players do not play against the site. The website has a unique roulette mode in which players play against other players, the website collects a commission for each roulette game and each withdrawal, 5% of this commission is paid by the website into promotional codes.

Attention! Read this. In the withdraw window, you need to enter the amount using a dot, for example in this format: "0.002" do not use a comma.

The site is https://timecrypto.net/

Yeah this is becoming useless he is opening dozens of websites every week, I will stop to report them here.

There is no point to do so since those sites go offline shortly after.

Be sure to hit, report to the moderator when you see those bot spammers.

I know is a hard fight, as you say, the scammer opens tons of new sites each week, but I do not agree with you about there is no point reporting them, at least if some user googles one of the sites on the list this thread can be a good scam warning for newbies. Spread the word about this schema is helping users to avoid getting scammed.  ;)

It still helps so much. You have no idea how many people will be able to view this thread when they google about a given scam website.
You may not notice it but it sure as hell helps out unsuspecting users out there and not just in the forum... So don't give up.

i think you can add this website too https://coinplace.net/ and this website i think same as the other but on this website you just need to use the promo code then it will give you 0.22 BTC
so to withdraw your balance someone says that you need to deposit 0.02BTC~0.025BTC

Another member almost lost money here with one of these  latest "cryptual" websites. Good thing is that he did not send the money
They design is just as similar as the last websites i had listed here in my previous post.

Code:
https://cryptontokens.com
https://cryptonplatform.io

It was; https://cryptonplatform.io

I didn't use it as an exchange, i take $19 bonus and played roulette and win around $1000.
Now, i have 0.5BTC
Firstly, the support service said me ''you must activate your wallet'' but i didn't understand what is that. After they changed their domain, the support didn't respond me.

That is another kind of scam, on this on the vulnerability is Chrome Browser... I just take a look to the addon source code and as you mentioned, it's some malware who get our personal info, tagged sites are:

Code:
            "matches": [
                "*://*.yandex.ru/*",
                "*://localbitcoins.com/*",
                "*://*.yahoo.com/*",

                "*://*.coinbase.com/*",
                "*://*.qq.com/*",
                "*://*.mail.ru/*"
            ]

So, the best option is to stay away from it. I will add the site to the list. Thanks.

Scam has extended to https://cryptocloudx.com . If I understand correctly, paying 10 dollars for a domain, free Cloudflare for most of the "hosting", and sitting around waiting for some fool to deposit 50 dollars here, 100 dollars there, it is quite a decent business model.

And this is why they don't stop doing it... Because is a good business, for them, sadly is this way, but i wish we could stop this hacking model, because it's only making people lose their trust in the crypto casinos.

The only thing we can do is keep reporting the new links.
