This prices will defo kill many shitcoins, only the strong ones will persevere and we get them at sale prices!!

That's to an extent correct,and it'll be a good one for the network to see majority of the shitcoins with no future fizzle away.

But the fact still remains that the price of the bitcoin affects us all, whether you're a bitcoiner or you invest in other coins..

I only hope when the market does return back to normal,only good ALTs would survive,that would rid us off scams a bit

That is truth and so many of them are already losing out.  Bitcoin,  ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash and so many other strong coins are going to remain in some years to come after this heavy hit.  I believe that we should buy those coins that has strong foundation and technology and not those one that has been abandoned by the developers.

Indeed, there's a good chance that many weak projects will die off.
Probably many new projects / ICOs are waiting for better times before launching.

However, as soon as the money will flow in again, the ICOs will flourish again (good or bad), shitcoins will be created again, so on the long term the current state doesn't really change anything...

Yes, this crypto bloodbath is like a purging the system and weeding out those shitcoins who has no value to offer in the crypto sphere. We have seen some of them dying or being de-listed on some top exchanges. Others just die a natural death because the devs suddenly disappear.

Yes, its somewhat scary but I guess this bear market has really teach us some good lessons and those coins who are standing either needed lots of developments to stay in the market otherwise they will be gone as well or continue to pump-and-dump, but its not going to be sustainable in the long run.

Yeah, OP thinks right. This long bear season will really sift the genuine coins/tokens from the shitcoins. It's like survival of the fittest and polishing of the diamond, and only the real ones will be left. This prevents us from being scammed and from investing in hyped coins that cause only huge losses. This is also a good opportunity to buy more of the truly valuable coins/tokens at a great sale price before they skyrocket.

Definitely, this one year bearish market and still going down started to filter the list of coins by taking away those non-sense coins. This will surely resulted to trim down the list to only few. People will be more aware of the market making investors think a lot of times before investing.

Bitcoin enthusiasts are little worried about shit altcoins, they are likely going to die regardless of the market situation. A project without a product can't survive long.

The useful and practical altcoins which are taking a fair share of the cryptocurrency market capitalization (which has pushed BTC to as low as 54% of the market) would likely survive the current onslaught.

Who knows. What happened between last year and this year was an eye opener for all of us inside crypto and those that are looking to get in. We're seeing first hand how volatile this market is an probably people will be more intelligent when they enter the market.

right. Even so, its price is lower than we expected. Now all new altcoins are on the trading floor divided by 30. So this is a good time to collect as many tokens as possible and wait until the market grows, we will be rich.

Current price will surely kill shitcoins as nobody will be investing any of such coin. Its time to identify good coins for investment as everything is so cheap, invest money today and forget it for next few years, this investment may grow many folds but risk factor should also be calculated with all your investment.

Not only shitcoins weak coins are also dying. But also think about the newly created ICOs. Some are frozen others do not reach the soft cap. Who reach the soft cap are traded 100 times cheaper in the exchange (although this is the project's own decision). It is not the end of the shitcoins as a matter of fact new ones will be created in the future.

Yeah, to be honest for now I'll be adding sats to my stack. Probably will get some cheap ETH as well. As for other coins, I'm not planing on investing yet, as there's a possibility you could choose one that will die.I think it is a safer play to accumulate as much btc as you can and when the correction is finally over decide where to invest.

I think what's been tested in the cryptosphere is exactly this. In the end the markets go with what people believe that will work in the future meanwhile big players are getting their pockets full of btc.. and it will still be pushed down. Not long from now we'll be starting to go up and alts wll follow, thing is from that mid term push up to the last push down to finish btc correction, all this pumped alts will fuck some people up, cause probably will die. My point being is that the blood bad ain't over and before being over for sure there will be calls of the bull market starting as we've had since may.

The price doesn't kill anything, the lack of funds and motivation does. I have talked with many small coin founders and I mean like really less than $10k in trading volume type of really small ones and they all say the same thing, they are planning on making so much innovation and so much furthering of the technology however they lack the funds severely.

They own their own coin and prefer not to sell it but even if they wanted to sell it the volume is so low that they wouldn't be capable of selling it by a whole lot since that would ruin the prices. Some of them even tried to buy the coins back to make the price go higher and put in some faith but instead he got back a bigger sale response from people who wanted to get out higher because of the price uptick. Hence the lack of funding is the biggest reason the small coins stop mattering and go die in some crypto corner.

If the idea is a good one, it will survive until either they learn to manage their funds better or someone else comes along and is able to make it a reality with the funds they have available.

I feel no love lost for the coins that are folding, ETC, STEEM, others are coming.


I have no doubt that it happens, but that's worse than breaking the law, that's breaking the law and failing anyway...

No doubt a current accumulation of assets can lead to a future big assets which indirectly means a higher profit in case there is a rise in the market value of the coins, the worth rise as well and so does the profit.

This bears is one of the good things that has happened to the crypto sphere. It will result in the death of so many shit projects and only the ones with good fundamentals will survive. I have been copping some good coins by staggering my buys. This I'll do until the market gets back on track, because I know the gains will be massive soon enough.

This is the longest bear market and the biggest dumped since crypto market launched because all altcoin been going down more than 90% from ATH. But a lot of upcoming positive news which bring institutional investor in to crypto market that make more demand.  So bull market can be start soon. 

Not totally, there are still shitcoins that might pump in the future, they can die but after they pump and devs knows that so they
will make some good headlines once the market is bullish, and without knowing this is a trap for investors which they will be left a bag holders of coins
that are useless. Bad devs knows how to play the market, they'll spend a little for marketing to hype up, take the money when people
are into FOMO then leave the market.

That's right, the decline in length caused a lot of coins to die, especially new coins, which lacked support from investors and did not have strong team members. I think they are the winners who can survive in this bear market.

The shitcoins aren't killed by the prices.They are killed by their own lack of usefulness.They are pumped and dumped,their devs and some traders made some easy money and they are leaving all the shitcoins behind.
That's doesn't mean that other shitcoins might not appear soon.

@OP it will be better if you describe what is shit coin and strong one.

The shit coins which don't have any real purpose to compete with the available cryptos will eventually fail in the long term si it maybe good to make uick profits but better to stay away from them inlong term.

Well at least people have learned to be a little more critical when it comes to new coins because of what happened in the past. Sadly it also took away trust and confidence from the entire market. But i think eventually those will return even if it takes time. Shitcoins will always resurface but they won't be as rampant as before. And if you're planning on long term investing, well this is a good accumulation time for you.

Shitcoins will find it difficult to survive this long bear market,and the continuing fall of the bitcoin would pull more of the shitcoins down even further.
If you take a look at the cryptocurrency market you'll notice that it's a difficult time at the moment,only the bitcoin and other good coins will survive.
Investors should be wise and take note of projects they put their money into

There were shitcoins before, now the only difference is that there is much more shitcoins! There will always be some shitcoins, projects without perspective, wrong ideas, wrong realization, many things can go wrong. I agree with op about one thing, this downtrend market will cut many coins very hard, and many will not be able to recover from that fall, some will get out even stronger, on us is to choose coins. I must agree with you about bitcoin, bitcoin will survive, like many others, market will definitely grow, just top 100 coins in 5 years will look different from now.
