I was angered at a post I saw earlier, which I had just replied to before coming here. Someone on WAVES ANN thread said that WAVES is dead. This is soooo far from the truth. Let me tell you why!

1. Waves is literally a newborn on the scene, look how long it took bitcoin to get to where it's at.

2. There are over 21k tokens issued on WAVES blockchain. Ok sure most tokens are childs play, and not serious. But, there are some developers who will issue a token on WAVES platform (like myself) who will go all out to acquire press, influence marketing, etc... to make their token at least as successful as WAVES is. Once this happens WAVES will skyrocket!

3. WAVES really solved problems Bitcoin haven't solved, and even is solving problems Ethereum isn't. Waves has legit made crypto easy as using Paypal. This alone is major.

WAVES is highly undervalued, and I am a a custom WAVES token issuer who is SERIOUS about the success of my token. I support the WAVES revolution. It's only a matter of time before other devs get as serious as I am, and have some successful tokens on WAVES platform.

My advice is to get WAVES while it's cheap! It's a baby, that will grow and become as expensive as ETH. Heed my words, a lot of you missed out on BTC in 08-09, a lot of you missed getting Ripple when it was just $0.16 then went to $3. People were saying scam, not people have headaches as they could have been rich! I didn't catch BTC in the beginning, but XRP, and XLM i bought in at $0.16, and $0.08 respectively and sold at $3 and $0.75 respectively. I invested when everyone was yelling SCAM and I reaped the benefits. Don't miss out on WAVES. Even a week ago WAVES was at $1, now at $1.50. Just right there a serious investor could have made some serious money.

But surely, Waves is like a sleeping giant in cryptocurrency. With the continuous dwindling fortunes of Ethereum, some people may start turning to waves as alternative.

Waves is gradually coming up and in near future, it will be among the foremost coins that will be sort after. It's performance recently, despite the bear market, really astonished me and this is a great sign that it will do well in future.

I'm glad you see that, this is a very good sign. The guy who upset me said that WAVES was dead, but was alive in the end of 2017 to early 2018. This is when BTC went to 20k, and everything went up! Now, look at BTC and everything else dropping but WAVES shows resilience to the down market on its OWN, totally INDEPENDENT from BTC! Again this is an extremely good sign! Waves can easily reach $100, and naysayers are going to be soooo depressed.

The issue I have with the project is the main definition of what the project is all about, the main selling point is unclear, we know what Ethereum is and also Binance but how do we classify the platform, a smart contract or an Exchange, for me the team need to focus on main selling point and pursue this instead of trying to be the next best thing in vogue

The main selling point is it being a "Token Economy". It's to accelerate startups, it's only a matter of time before more investors shift to WAVES. It's also a matter of time before there are some very successful custom WAVES tokens which will also make WAVES skyrocket even more. Waves is very similar to ETH. When tokens are successful on ETH blockchain it helps ETH. Waves would already be as pricey as ETH if it had some successful projects on its Blockchain like ETH has. Waves projects are rising, it's only a matter of time. There will be a big shift to WAVES just wait for it.

I am considering WAVES as one of the best investment for the future.

Exactly, it will cause a chain reaction. Once the WAVES shift happens, some WAVES projects will also rise and all the success of those projects will also raise WAVES up even more. WAVES is a bet that you just can't lose. WAVES is already faster than ETH, its better than ETH. People just don't know it yet, but they will soon enough.

Faster doesn't mean better if this one meet SEC and then it will be crackdown by SEC. Don't get over rated with the platform if you can't even do anything with it. So many people are shilling using over rated words.

I know that WAVES is also a good cryptocurrency but why it's WAVES? Not only WAVES, I can see BTC, ETH, XRP and all other good cryptocurrencies' price are very low at the moment. Although WAVES is a good one but it's not good enough for me so I'll choose BTC, ETH or XRP instead of WAVES.

The SEC has suspended trading of ETH before, is ETH trading again? Yes. WAVES doesn't have a problem. The SEC has probably silently ruled WAVES out as not being a security. WAVES will not have a problem.

What's funny is if you choose ETH, you can choose also WAVES. They are very very similar overall. They both accelerator startups, and can be used for the exact same things. What's crazy is everyone wants all this innovation, but at the end of the day no matter what product is behind a cryptocurrency they all have the same REAL purpose. They are just mere payment systems. Wouldn't you hate it if WAVES reach $100? It's highly possible, and most certainly likely. It will happen, I tell you one thing, when it does happen I will be a happy man. My head won't be hurting  :D

Like what i am thinking now, the market is low and waves project is great and it is too low to have the price now.
The demand is good but the market keeps the token undervalue.

Good choice my friend! I got more just last week, and already have 50-60% gains on that. While everything else is crashing WAVES is showing signs or resilience. This shows that even though WAVES rallied like hell in late 2017 to early 2018 like everything did because of bitcoin hitting 20k, that WAVES is independent and it's success does not rely on BTC. ETH and everything else heavily rely on BTC that's why they haven't rebounded yet. We will all be happy with WAVES. Don't forget that if you see some interesting projects built on WAVES support those as well, this also helps WAVES just like successful tokens on ETH blockchain helps ETH. The only thing stopping WAVES from being $100 is that WAVES doesn't have many successful custom tokens on it's blockchain yet, while ETH does. This will all change, even some people in the ETH community are speaking of a shift from ETH to WAVES. 2019 will be a great year, and again WAVES is just a baby on the scene and already reached parity with the USD way faster than even BTC, and LTC.

I heard about the rumor that this is the final pamp before the developers sell out all their assets in the form of wave tokens, after which the project is waiting for a complete collapse. I hope that the rumors will remain only rumors.

Maybe it's just a rumor. But sometimes, if there's a smoke, then, there's a fire.. Just invest what you can afford to lose if you decide to invest. Everyone can give a good piece of advice but they can never return your investments.

As for me, I hold waves tokens since summer 2017.  Waves has updated their wallet recently. Also I like thier blockchain, it's convenient in usage. I think that Waves will grow in next year!

To the OP: i can see why you are so enthusiastic on the one hand..on the other why can't you see the apparent weakness of the management team and especially the marketing & strategy activities? WAVES, has missed many many intermediate rallies when the circumstances were much favorable (series of bad management decisions) and there is no reason to cheer as of it growing currently. (to me this odd increase seems fishy).

Also your basic argumentation (e.g. " it is just a matter of time for people to see what WAVES is") gives me the sense of a belief/hope rather than a conslusion backed with some evidence. Have you done any research on the adoption of WAVES (in reaL life projects) as this is what utterly will lead a sustainable price.?

I think that it is not necessary to expect a lot from the Waves. There are more interesting projects in the market. Waves have long been in the shadows and for this, many people do not know what to expect from this coin.

Waves is one of my favorite projects and have very high potential for long-term investment.

I would not count on this project to develop and grow. So I wouldn't take their coins either. Yes, they had a moment of take-off, but this is likely all over.

Ripple can do the exact same thing, another crypto everyone was yelling scam but I bought at $0.16 and sold at $3 lol. Just like bitcoin, people will regret waiting, and wish they did invest what they an lose. Also, WAVES has LPOS mining, so your so inaccurate there.

For me just by looking on the track record of the waves coins, During 2017 and until the middle of 2018, i can see that Waves has taken so much improvement before it drop on its price just as what we all can see on many other altcoins.
In the future, it should be able to increase again on it's price when the market getting better.

Waves have a pretty good market capitalization, because current developments are beginning to appear on this coin even though the market situation is bad. even some of them choose to invest in this coin for the long term. I have also invested some of these coins and while waiting for the time to arrive.

Waves is one of the altcoins that is currently developing quite well, so it doesn't hurt if you buy waves and invest in the future, I think this coin is profitable and has good prospects.

WAVES  is good for daily trading, it's easy to catch WAVES  price movements.
I don't think WAVES  is good for buying now, this project seems death because there was a long time it had no new updates.
However, i believe in WAVES, it can be a big competitor to Ethereum next year and show positive in price movements, watch out.

I don't know if you can call investors who buy and sell at 100% profit serious investors. I'm a long term Waves guy, bought at $4 and below so yes, always adding a bit now and then and just keeping it all on lease. Keep getting all these random tokens too from god knows where, but I'm not worried about Waves at all. These Russians are slow but they are doing things according to the market emotions, so when we get another recovery long term, Waves will be right up there with the rest.

I bought my first Waves a long time ago. Unfortunately, it is hard to say that it has risen so fast as to create the expected effect.

Very excited about this platform. Blockchain works fast enough. Team and community are always active. And the coin has good demand, good volumes on the exchanges. It will be a good investment for the future.

People think like peons, it's not about a pump. It's about being a REAL investor. This thread is obviously to engage in conversation with serious investors, not some little pump and dump bandits.

If for long investment waves deserve it but as a platform token I dont think so. A lot of project that uses waves as a platform payment but mostly the value is too small. Maybe it is too early to ask for more but hopefully in the future could be more better from now because of all the people in crypto are definitely also thinking of value from time to time.

The recent wave price movements are very good, up 10% in just one day when the movements of the other bitcoin and altcoin prices decline. However, I am not sure this time is the right time to buy waves because the price has increased, the characteristics of the altcoin price are hard to guess, sometimes the price increases and not long after the price drops back. So my advice, do not rush to buy waves, you can wait for further developments.

As we all know here in crypto world, people involved in cryptocurrency are more focused with ethereum and the most popular coin bitcoin. And most of the investors also are panicking because of the value downtrend for quite sometime already, they don't see the opportunity given to everyone in times like this where it is the perfect timing to go shopping and accumulate coins and tokens while the market is down. I do believed in waves and of course I will hold even a little for the future.

WAVES is a good investment as a NEW project. I always buy in early, and low. I hodl, and sell high. I don't wait for developments to increase the price. That's backwards. Why wait for developments and buy higher, instead of buying before them and buying lower?

You are right. The key is to do a good market analysis because the market moves dynamically. So we can find coins that are potentially traded. Incidentally, yesterday waves had a good movement, I took advantage of that timing and thank you for getting a profit of around 10%. Timing is everything for trading.

Waves is one of the most coins good to invest. Right now or this moment is best time you do not mis this opporunity to have a lot of waves and just hold it and you will see price of waves after few years from now become hundreds of dollars each.

I am not sure about WAVES so I won't recommend it to anyone. I have a few coins using WAVES but there are only a few buyers on the given format. It results to low demand and I don't think they will be that competitive and they are so far from Ethereum. It is so hard to sell a coin that was using a WAVES platform. I will never join a bounty using WAVES. It's not worth our time guys.

Waves is a solid platform it just hasn't had the same exposure as the better known brands like Ethereum and EOS yet it still has good potential long term however, its just experienced a moderate appreciation so it's probably not an ideal time to invest now considering market volatility

Well since the first time i've got my waves coins, i already believe that it's a good coins.
I really wish to be able to make an investment on waves again soon, before it rise so much that i've got left behind.

Up until today, waves is still a good coins i think, even though the price is dropping just like any other cryptocurrency. But as today it look like it starting to increase again on it's price. So purchasing right now is the best time to have more chance of increase.

Whatever coin we want to buy this is now the best time due to price drop and in terms of Waves it is a good coin for me but not my coin of choice. You are correct we have to get all the stuff we need while it is cheap. There are actually tons of tokens out there but the problem is that how long they will recover from plummet as not all coins or tokens can bounce back when the market becomes stable or green.

The first time i know Waves, i don't really think it's a good coin, but after the time passed the i see that the growth of Waves is really good that i should be good to make an investment on. That makes me decide to make Waves as one of my favorite coin to invest.

I am not really focusing on bitcoin because even though it is red in the last months, I still consider it as expensive and not cheap enough for me. I think if I have enough money, I would also consider buying waves but as we can see now if you have a pretty decent job, you can look forward in investing in Ethereum. But if you want to do a long-term hold, cheaper coins will do since you can buy a lot.

For this rise to be sustainable you will need to see people building interesting projects on the Waves blockchain. So far i have not seen any. Which is not to say there are none out there. Just that I have not seen any. If you know of any I would be happy to hear about them.

I am sure waves is a good crypto but there are others too that are good too in the crypto market. If you only want to join a good crypto then you should look hard for it. I know some crypto that are worth buying now but because I do not have a good resources then I will just going to leave other to buy for it.

Let's me guess, you're stucking in WAVES and trying to find out the way to cut your loss with this cryptocurrency, right? LOL. I agree that the waves have potential and you can buy Them, but not now, as their price will fall during the drawdown of the cryptocurrency market. Wait until that, and after some time they can be bought.

All what you write here is absolutely right. Waves is an awesome platform, and I am going to hold its altcoins for a year at least. I know that finally, the price of this alt will fly to the sky. So, I am waiting patiently for it.

I don't think it's a good time to buy waves right now . Seems like a pump is comes to the end and those who enter the market are now at risk of incurring serious losses . A week ago, it was a good time to buy waves, but now this time is gone.

I think phishing or scam occurred when people bought into them. Think about why a coin can exist and not decrease in many coin drops. I think simply, waves are fake or in other words do not believe and buy waves if you do not want to be fooled :o

How is it not working good? The Platforms have no problems, ETH is having a hard time scaling right now. WAVES won't ever have that problem.

Well, Waves may be good but I don't know why I don't really go along with it.
 I have tried registering wave but I was not enjoying it like ethereum. Ethereum is quite standard,higher in value and quicker to operate than so many others.
As for me,I don't condemn it but when wave is better I don't mind using it.

I'm happy I bought in at $1! WAVES is promising. It's extremely similar to ETH but is faster than ETH. It will be $100 someday for sure. It's a very young token. It hasn't been around long at all. It's just starting.

Current wave developments are good, and this gives a positive response to its value in the market, volume increases and provides benefits. The development team is indeed good at taking steps and every time a value increase always occurs. Even if you buy waves now, you have nothing to lose.

Although WAVES has very good blockchain technology, its sales are limited. Most investors only care about whether it can be profitable, and don't care how much WAVES technology brings us.

They are going to release WAVES 2.0, I'm really not sure what is new to it but seem like this team is certainly leading this  crypto market to recovery.  The self-regulatory body is really a big advantage for investors of this token but this isn't going to uplift the price a huge as what ETH had achieved though, WAVES will still need to have a huge  family of developers who will tokenize their companies.

Waves is an awesome coin and has a great potential. They have got 140 million USD for the blockchain development and this caused such a great coin pump. Hope this trend will continue and we will see waves by 10 USD within the next several months.

Waves could be a good platform but this is not yet establish and this might be a temporary pump that will create hype to attract more investors while ETH is in dumps. Although waves is much cheaper than ETH this coin can perform a higher run compared to ETH but not to the point that will beat ETH in the ranking.

Waves was somehow out of the scope of my radar and I have discovered it recently. Waves deserves to
be on our watchlist as it is a potential coin. It is already in the top but I think it will become a top 10 coin

In my opinion Waves is slowly becoming a victim of it's intial success perhaps, it was just a hype and nothing more, no new development in a long time. I'd literally stay clear of waves for now until there's some real improvement from the project that could have it compete with its rivals in the market.

There were lots of new development about waves like the NG and the smart contract. They do have a regulatory body, it hasn't pull the  price up to much but its realistic enough with its current price. Waves right now is like when ETH started to  climb during 2016.
