Guys, this infographic shows that there were a lot of falls in the history of Bitcoin, replaced by growth. What do you think where Bitcoin will skyrocket this time?

Ill just get out my crystal ball for you. I am seeing... A volatile situation. People are volatile, crypto is volatile. I am then seeing black. I cannot see further.

If bitcoin was to skyrocket again, no one knows what percentage increase we would have. Not to mention bitcoin isn't guaranteed to skyrocket in the first place. Not because it happened in the past, while definitely not impossible, it doesn't automatically mean that it will happen again. Who knows? We might have a very slow increase for a decade this time, or even a decade of price stagnation?

Nice presentation on the market history of Bitcoin price on the market. No one can predict on what to become of Bitcoin yet we can only speculate that it is most likely to remain in the crypto market. a lot of investors are coming back after the huge drops ftom the previous week of down trend or the Crazy drops as posted in the market. The future of Bitcoin dependent on the consumers investment for Bitcoin either on short term or a long term. the crypto market with Bitcoin on it will be here and once it is adopted globally into main stream market by the government and the financial community, then the digital currency transaction will be a future market...

It's time we understand the reality of the market and the network. Bitcoin is not a commodity which bubbles up every now and then and corrects soon afterwards.
As an investor grow on your knowledge of bitcoin and it's practical uses.
Promote it in your local community.
Prepare for the digital age that bitcoin heralds.
There is no certainty, and no one can say when the price would skyrocket

No one can truly know. Without breakthroughs in adoption it's hard to see bitcoin pushing towards 100k or higher. Alternatively if there are major breakthroughs with adoption then we could see bitcoin easily moving to 6 digits.

This image is putting it all nicely, so thanks for sharing it. Nevertheless, I have to agree with others about unpredictability of the situation. Yes, we see that bitcoin has been in tough spot before and got over it again and again. And yet hope is all it can give us. We can hope that this will be the case again, but cannot really rely on that. What's sad about the current situation is that most of poeple probably don't know that such things have already happened before. They think that bitcoin was always successful and then finally hit the point where the bubble bursted. It's important to show them that it's not new and that there can still be a happy ending. I don't care what the new Ath is going to be. I would be really happy to see something like $15k that will become a stable point with small fluctuations. This would allow to profit as well as start taking things seriously. Retailers cannot deal with a supervolatile coin.

Quite correctly Bitcoin has always bounced back after most downfall so it's hoped the same faiths meets the present situations and really fast at that

That is the problem of many bitcoin users. They always think of bitcoins going to the moon and skyrocketing without thinking that bitcoins is basically meant for peer to peer transfer and not as investment vehicle to give much profit.

There is a target, and set goal and then there's the reality. The reality of bitcoin now is that it's volatility makes it unsuitable for daily payments. And also makes it perfect for trading and price speculation.
Anyone who bought purchase it at a certain value and if you bought anytime this year, you are currently at a potential loss.

It is difficult to say exactly when growth can begin. I can only assume that the current situation will be different from previous ones. The crowd is usually wrong. Many people are now waiting for Bitcoin to be rapidly restored the same way it was the last time, but I doubt it. For some reason, it seems to me that growth will begin only after a long consolidation phase and it will not be fast. Perhaps it will even have a positive impact on the entire crypto market, because rapid growth usually follows a rapid fall. The bubble always bursts. I hope that an awesome crypto future awaits us all.

I think the market is waiting for something, some kind of major event, that can trigger a new btc rally. We have Bakkt coming up next year in january, i'm certain that it'll be enough to at least see some much needed buying pressure to start a recovery phase, however, I don't think it'll make the price skyrocket. We'll see something like that during a bull run, and I think the trigger will be the adoption phase that hopefully will kick in either in 2019 or 2020.

This kinda makes sense, but we cannot really predict the market or use this statistics as a basis because the market is emotion driven and does not depend solely on historical data. There's just one thing I am sure of, that Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies will never die, the price of those coins is not converging to 0$, but rather correcting. The number of people using cryptocurrencies is sufficiently low at this point, looking at the number of existing Bitcoin wallets. If every people use cryptocurrencies, mainly Bitcoin, the price will be stronger and much higher compared to the current price.

On what grounds do you make such claim,and what facts do you have to back up what you've spilled out right now.
Hodling isn't and cannot be the cause of the drastic fall in price

That is an unknown territory for now, and we're better off focusing on fundamentals rather than another unstable push of price to greater heights only for it to crumble too fast. We might need another hype train that's so massive and another drive of VC funding coming in to bitcoin before seeing a new ATH. Right now, only a few things are happening Q1 of 2019, and that's still not sure that we're gonna see some price action should these gets into materialization (primarily the Bakkt launch that most people seem to be talking about.)

It will take a while for it to hit any extremely high amount. It is more likely for us to witness a steady and slow growth with a lot of stagnation in between. I think that 2019 will not be great as well. Everyone is talking about 2020 as the year of BTC, so we will see what will it bring.

Great insight, well this is a question that no one can answer. Hopefully it will not take longer, the photo actually gives hope for those who are suffering right now. This only means that we will reach the top again in the right time. We must keep on holding because no one can say when the next bull to happen. 2019 might be the recovery stage and soon we will finally hit another peak again, let’s keep on supporting bitcoin.

Yeap pretty much. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong in investing or speculating on an asset that you actually think will go up in price in the long term, especially if you're actually confident on the future success of bitcoin. The problem here is some people are investing in bitcoin just because it's hot, and they're expecting it to rise quick. But anyway, it's them that's going to likely end up losing money in the end anyway, if they're really that impatient.

Hope in the near future because as being one of the bitcoin user I need to convert my bitcoin to real money to support my basic needs that is why I`m hoping this January bitcoin price will back on its normal place.

We cannot predict where bitcoin will skyrocket this time, but I guess it will skyrocket in the next years ;D We have many years to see bitcoin price will increase, and this is only for the people who can be patient, and perhaps the bitcoin price will increase tomorrow, next day, or next week. We need to be patient and use your time to enjoy your life, enjoy the rollercoaster, don't panic especially if the market is down as now. Once bitcoin price skyrocket, that is the time for you to take your profit and don't miss it.

It will happen when it happens, if I knew when bitcoin will skyrocket I will not be as nervous as I am and the rest of the community will be a lot calmer as well, I predict that it will not happen until the end of 2020 which means that we will have to deal with a market that does not move much for two years which is going to make even more people disappointed with bitcoin and they will quit as a result of that.

Even though this year Bitcoin ended in disappointment because of the falling prices, but bitcoin will be able to rise again, and in 2019 the price of 7k is likely to be achieved by bitcoin.

If i were to know for sure i will broadcast this right away for you not to ask same question again,but the problem is no one knows when this will happen,and if you cant afford to wait for this to come badk again,then better not to invest or sell all of your holdings

You are right, no one knows when bitcoin will skyrocket this time. The current value of BTC is frustrating the investors so most probably the price will pump by next year also there are chances of bull run next year, Guys I strongly believe crypto has a bright future ahead.

Some have predicted accurately when bitcoin is going to skyrocket but that had to do mostly with their luck than with their skill because the majority of the people have been unable to predict the movements of the price of bitcoin and they had lost money as a result of the mistaken decisions they took thanks to their predictions, so the only thing we can do is to wait for the market to skyrocket and be in the market while that happens.

I strongly believe that before we can see another significant price movement it might take another two to three years to come.  Judging by the way market has been behaving.  I could remember that in 2013 when I was following bitcoin especially in the mining area bitcoin was unprofitable to mine until around 2015 that we began to see significant growth in bitcoin pricing.  Today the market is down for another reason and I think we would see recovery from the end of next year and in 2022 bitcoin might be trading above $100,000. If there is away it is better we hold what we are having now in other to be among the rich in future.

I can see bullish tendencies on the market today. That's nice moment we waited for a long time, from the beginning of this year. And I don't want to lose the opportunity to earn good money.

It's strictly luck indeed. I wonder how many of those who "accurately" predicted the bull run have put their money where their mouth is. I'm afraid only a very few, and if so, very likely a tiny amount. Richard Heart is exactly like that. He brags about how he predicted the $20,000 peak but yet ended almost in tears when thinking about how much him being a Bitcoin maximalist made him "lose out" on altcoin gains.

If you are so sure of yourself that Bitcoin will pump to $20,000, you can safely assume that altcoins will pump even harder. The funniest part is that he gets all emotional about some gains he could have scooped up, while he claims to be a billionaire. :D

I think what ever will be the price by the end of this year is will be good because even lot of people are lose their investment because they buy in higher price and now they hodl it I know next year the price will much better than now. So keep calm and more patience.

No one can say with absolute certainty which way bitcoins prices will go, past peaks are no indication that prices will end up high or low like in the past. I believe the key here is adoption of bitcoins, more people who adopt it will help it grow. I also believe that quarter one of 2019 events will have an important role in deciding bitcoins prices, in my opinion they should propel bitcoins prices upwards at least till 10k levels.

Many of those that talk the most about how the market moves and when it is the best time to invest in it are not really investors or traders but people that sell trading and investing advice, so when they finally get one right they lament not being in the market at the time they made their predictions, but if they were in the market they will be unable to do even half of the things they recommend other people to do.

I don't think we will see a skyrocket anytime soon or maybe ever again. I doubt there would be a 20x increase in price in the span of a month for a long time, probably never again. The increases will probably happen slowly and the increase will be a bit slow as well but we will get back to those prices again. Instead of increasing x6 in one month the price will probably get there in 2 years until the 2020 halving.

Around those times price will be restored to what it was once upon a time (last year) however slow increases are better since there won't be a hype of people getting in and getting out constantly. This way we can create a solid foundation to our increase and instead of having a building that has a risk of crumbling on first earthquake we will have japanese type of building that stands the biggest earthquakes.

In the future the market will be able to get out of the current bad conditions, and still have a chance for a bull run, in 2019 it looks like bitcoin will be able to recover at 10k.

we are in the $4000 and last year we were able to reach the $20,000, which was very incredible and was a very profitable year, but this year the price dropped from $20,000 to $4000 so what I can say is that with the fall $20,000 to $4000 should have scared a lot of people and these people will not be back so soon for the crypto world, we have some great players like BAKKT and others who can create a price increase, but being honest I doubt if we see the price again of $20,000 next year, then it is likely that we will only see $ 20,000 in two years from now.

With stock markets crashing, looks like fund managers may be looking for some place to park cash for a return.  Seems some must be throwing it into crypto.

I believe bitcoin will skyrocket, but I think in the next year will happen so let's just wait we can see the skyrocket soon.

I think the nearest stop would be $12, with that happening anytime in 2019 I can see the next stop as $20k again, the last time bitcoin increased in price was last year and we stopped a bit at $12k, even when falling back from $20k we have dropped a bit back to $12k and stayed there a bit (I wish I sold back than :D ) however if we someone passed the $12k and move towards $20k afterwards is still unknown to us, its a land of no man and we have never been there so we can't really know what could happen.

The best case scenario it will keep going up and we will profit however maybe that's the max we can reach for now and it will go back down once again. Nobody knows what happens after 20 thousand dollars so far.

Two years may not even be enough dude. Though that is clearly possible, the circumstances have changed from 2017 onwards. As you've said, any investor would have hesitations to invest big in a market that pumped from less than 1k to 20k in a year, and then dropped from 20k to 4k is less than a year. Too many considerations that's why i don't count too much on a skyrocketing btc the scale of 2017 again.

Those that were smart got out of bitcoin when the price was still high and they got some small losses or some small profits but most of those that invested during the all time high lost most of their capital in a matter of months, so I doubt they have any desire to comeback to the market especially when it is still struggling to find some stability.

It's either going to skyrocket soon after the halving like previous halvings or it's going to die a certain death. With bitcoin there really is no in between, as Satoshi said it's going to either become worth a hell of a lot or nothing. Barring some unforseen disaster, I think the odds of it dieing are sliim to none.

bitcoin and crypto are already developing enough and there are many public utilities that they have built and are running, they have started something new and just how sweet they will create. I am optimistic that bitcoin and crypto will give a crazy percentage in the future and if we don't want to miss the train then go up and invest now

In 2019 bitcoin will recover and market conditions will be healthier and maybe 6k -7k will be achieved. I don't think that in 2019 bitcoin will be able to skyrocket as it did in 2017.

BTC was the hot topic across the world last year but now the same instance is happening but the unexpected way, it was like a life for entire world and now it has become a scary topic. People always come with diplomatic topics but I am still sure it will skyrocket again all I can say is hodl and wait for your day.

Nobody knows and can only make estimates, I think in 2019 there will be a recovery and bitcoin will have the chance to reach 7k.

Charts aren't future predictors of bitcoin, well that's like that for me because a lot of thing affects it's price, miners play a huge role too, regulations on exchangers and etc. Currently it's hard to say to be fair but I have thoughts on 2020's price because there will be halving which I highly believe will cause massive rise in price and 20K will become new standard like 6K was lately and 15K will cause as much panic as current price causes.

in my opinion the next bull will occur at the end of 2019 or early 2020, if I see this data the bull happens every 2 years. on the next bull the price of bitcoin can reach $ 50k or even more.

I see how the patterns move but I'm still unsure what will be the right price for that, it just looks like a mathematics equation where you need the formula to solve all of that. lol

Not always price always follows the chart, because over time it must have different problems and different situations that cause it difficult to predict. This depends on where we see the problem and how confident we are to survive. That way I just believe bitcoin will definitely skyrocket again in the future without having to have the right time predictions for bitcoin will skyrocket.

It's an interesting pattern but people need to aware that the history is not always repeated,we do hope that Bitcoin can go up as high as possible but within the unsure market conditions, my expectations are really low, if crypto could stabilize in 6000$ next year then I will be happy

So probably it might hit 100K if the history repeats but for that we need to wait patiently for the prices to increase since it may take upto two years from the last bear market.

Most of us don't know when bitcoin will increase because no right prediction can be able to know with precision. We could only predict, and we know that in out there, many predictions about when bitcoin will increase. It is difficult to search the right time for bitcoin to increase because it depends on what people's want in the market and if the situations are like what we saw in 2017, then bitcoin price can jump to the higher price and it will not only reach $20k but even more.

it's hard to guess or predict when bitcoin will skyrocket again, even though there is written history that has been analyzed by experts, but the same event will not be repeated in the future.

History may not repeat exact levels but it is repeating the same pattern. If you go for analyzing the period of previous ATH and the last ATH then you will come to know about many interesting coincidence. From that we may approximately predict what will happen in the near future.

With short-term rally bitcoin prices may get back to its previous strongest support zones which is around $6300 levels. If anything holding above those support levels, will be launching bitcoin into $10k to $12k levels. But in short-term we need to break $5k levels so that we can think about having five digit figures. Most probably within the first week of 2019 we may get around $5k levels for sure. Prices are sustaining around $3.8k levels which is good sign for another bull rally.

We will find out after the bakkt happens. The skyrocket will take it to $10k to begin with and then the all time high like it did before. Once that has been breached the next level is going to be sky high

Well, the bullish state or strength of the bitcoin market cant be decide by the Bakkt. Although, it was backed by the Intercontinental Exchange’s proven financial market infrastructure and technology but it just an innovation platform which will create the ease of crypto currencies trading and investment globally.
