Title: Displaying coins and collectibles
Post by: BTCcollector19 on December 13, 2018, 05:13:10 AM
Hello fellow crypto collectibles addicts  ;D

I want to make a wall-mounted display for a variety of my collectibles.  Some low-value coins, Kialaras, paper notes, stickers, etc. I'd like to show the breadth of creativity in this space. (The really valuable stuff like Cas coins will of course stay in a bank vault.). I'm curious if anyone here has any suggestions or even photos of how you've done something similar?

I'm thinking of roughly 3' x 3'.  (That's roughly 1 meter square for our friends who live outside the US 😀)

Thanks in advance!

I've thought a bit about the best way to display coins will be announcing something soonTM that is related to this.

The problem with framing coins is that half of the coin can't be seen.

The problem with framing coins is that half of the coin can't be seen.

To solve that problem for my Bitbills I created my own frame with the ability to display front and back  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3334918.msg43852076#msg43852076 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3334918.msg43852076#msg43852076)

I cut the velvet so the back can be seen and then added a piece of plexiglass in the back.

If bored with the front and you want to see the back then all you have to do is flip the frame over.

Wow that's really interesting how they use a silicone membrane to hold the items

here's one that could work well for coins: https://www.amazon.com/Challenge-Casino-Display-Holder-Shadowbox/dp/B00VVSOSRG
