Title: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: DIKUL on December 16, 2018, 08:01:20 AM On the forum is some kind of struggle with the dominance of bots?
In the Russian local Board "messed up" the entire section Beginners! Bots write one-line posts from accounts registered in one day: crudcentesracelcau suppguiriaagcludri trepincelfavedi tuomillitlisgibdi exsucuieratgul irinimdigsabo https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156337 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156362 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156369 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156377 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156393 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2156399 Screenshot taken yesterday: https://b.radikal.ru/b01/1812/21/6c96dab1d8ba.png (https://radikal.ru) Posts all the same type written on a template: I Agree, I think... Have you reported this to the mods? I think they'll take action immediately, and this thread could draw more attention to this particular menace in the Russian section. I pray a time comes when user will try to earn by doing the right thing Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: DIKUL on December 16, 2018, 08:25:13 AM This is a major issue the forum has been having for long now, people posting simply cos of incentives, and not going about it the right way, most of this are simply paid bumpers/bots trying to promote a thread(mostly an ann thread) Have you reported this to the mods? The messages they write are not offtopic or spam. What to complain about when sending reports? Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: jademaxxiss012 on December 16, 2018, 03:23:26 PM Spammers probably because I am thinking that bot is not possible herr in the forum. Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: Bitcoin_Arena on December 16, 2018, 03:38:56 PM There is a i saw a few days ago where in the local boards category Russia had a very high posting percentage compared to other boards
I have made a little calculation by looking at the most posts in the 'Local' category. The most posts were made in Russian, Indo, afterwards Turkish Chinese and German. 1# Russian (47.80%) 2# Indonesian (11.86%) 3# Turkish (9.44%) 4# Chinese (8.62%) 5# German (5.29%) Arab 30079 0,36% Indo 1001490 11,86% Espa 243968 2,89% Chin 728003 8,62% Croa 33134 0,39% Germ 446244 5,29% Gree 37389 0,44% Hebr 2426 0,03% Fran 207827 2,46% Indi 70259 0,83% Ital 253306 3,00% Japa 39528 0,47% Dutc 46003 0,54% Kore 14786 0,18% Phil 214354 2,54% Pols 24439 0,29% Port 123779 1,47% Russ 4036182 47,80% Roma 43094 0,51% Skan 8053 0,10% Turk 797039 9,44% Other 42005 0,50% 8443387 100,00% So this really doesn't come as a surprise to me if it's about bots. Something really has to be done. I have been thinking about new implementations like; - Create some sort of word or Code challenge for every post brand new and newbie accounts make. This could be just before posting a question would just pop up asking like; What is the ticker for Bitcoin or What is Nakamoto's other name? or When was the Bitcoin White paper published? This would even push some genuine newbies to learn more about bitcoin - Some sort of Jail/ban for newbie accounts that make burst posts/Spam... If they are caught or detected. they get banned for 48 hours or a week without being able to post. Those are my suggestions, someone could have suggested them already... but i also just decided to share what i think. What to complain about when sending reports? I’m not certain they are bots, but certainly look like a related farm of accounts: all were created on the 26/05/2018, they all started posting on the 30/11/2018, they all post during the same time interval, and posts are often a couple of minutes apart. Nevertheless, you say they are on topic. I’ve taken a look (using google translate) to get an idea, and the answers are rather generic, but a few I’ve seen bare context related to the quoted text in the posts. Frankly, it could be a group of people sitting around a table making quick contextual one-liners, or bots – it doesn’t matter. They do seem to be producing a reiterative and prolonged set of low quality posts, and can be reported just for that alone as per rule number one: 1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. The experiment failed. Half the reports are BAD. Apparently the moderators has a different opinion about these posts. Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: hugeblack on December 17, 2018, 11:58:36 AM Local boards are supposed to be the least spammers because there is a mod/or more for most of it, so I think that such cases do not require a change in rules, reporting is enough.
- Create some sort of word or Code challenge for every post brand new and newbie accounts make. This could be just before posting a question would just pop up asking like; What is the ticker for Bitcoin or What is Nakamoto's other name? or When was the Bitcoin White paper published? This would even push some genuine newbies to learn more about bitcoin You can skip the challenge and go back to SPAM again. - Some sort of Jail/ban for newbie accounts that make burst posts/Spam... If they are caught or detected. they get banned for 48 hours or a week without being able to post. I do not think we're going to go back to newbie Jail. The spam is limited to low ranks that will be solved over time. "If profit is impossible, everyone will stop." + Most of the posts appear as spam, especially in the first days. Posts evolve over time Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: TrezorMade on December 17, 2018, 07:50:50 PM There is a i saw a few days ago where in the local boards category Russia had a very high posting percentage compared to other boards I have made a little calculation by looking at the most posts in the 'Local' category. It is indeed weird that Russia almost has 50% of total posts in Local. This bot activity certainly explains why there are so many Russian posts, but what would their purpose be? I really cannot think of any reason behind the bot activity on Russian thread. Maybe they just want Russia to be the majority. Or do they have malicious reasons? ??? But if morons like Lauda and TMAN control the forum who have no clue about marketing/spam tools its no wonder they are unable to fight it. That bot in action is clearly Xrumer. Once you know how to stop Xrumer you will block majority of bot action on this forum........ But hey keep listenting to the adults like Lauda is always claiming. They will teach you how people fought back in the stone age Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: DIKUL on January 29, 2019, 06:01:09 PM Would be easy to stop these bots. If with bots it's easy to fight - why not do it at the level of the engine of this forum. What is the fault of Lauda? If with bots it's easy to fight - why not do it at the level of the engine of this forum. What is the fault of Lauda? What the fault is ?Its an admin not knowing what to do and listening to a bunch of old school idiots who have no clue how to run a forum successfull but have clear vision how to benefit from it. Xrumer could be stopped easily but for that they would first need to know that these so called bots is in majority of cases Xrumer a high professional russian bot (what a coincident that its being used in russian forum?) But like i said they know nothing and pretend to fight spam with their stone age methods which they are going to lose anyways. If a spammer really wanted to fuck this forum he could do it quickly spamming the forum to death with massiv amounts of spam posts which mods wouldn't be able to go after anymore due to the amount. But like i said the top is being controled by a bunch of idiots who focus on milking the community in the name of protection and quality. Title: Re: Bots occupied section Beginners in Russian local board Post by: DIKUL on February 02, 2019, 06:52:36 PM Today I created a new topic - Reputation in The Russian local board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5105163.0)
Up to this point, we had neither a topic nor a section dedicated to reputation. The participants of the trust list DT1 and DT2 are invited sometimes to look into this topic :) |
