I am very interested in the words at the close of this thread "PUMP not only buy BUYING YOUR THE BEST"
I feel very strange with those who say that bitcoin will be pumped but they continue to buy it at cheap prices

Bitcoin is not broken, so what needs to be fixed? The only thing that needs fixing is the people's attitude towards the technology when the price is down. A lot of people starts to bash Bitcoin when the price goes down and they start looking for ways to fix something that are not broken.

Prices of all stocks and commodities goes up and down, so people should not look for problems, when there is none. Just let the technology evolve like and other young currency/commodity.  ::) 

from the system and bitcoin technology it is reliable, there is no shortage of bitcoin, I just think why many people are starting to leave bitcoin even though there is no system better than bitcoin out there

I agree that it might be a good time to buy (not sure about the 'greatest'), especially if your are shorting bitcoins and already sold at a much higher price. But it's surely not a good time to sell, as you would likely be selling at a loss.

If you are going to panic sale, you have to do it before everyone else is panic selling as well. As that way you can get out before the crash.

I really don't understand and don't like people who leave BTC just because its price has dropped.BTC is in a more difficult period from some months now but that doesn't mean that it will not recover.Everytime the price was this low has returned to normal or even higher, we just have to wiait for the big comeback of the Bitcoin.

in fact this may not be the best time to buy considering the small risk but it definitely is not a good time to sell! simply because the drops are over for now and price has dropped 80% already. selling now means you waited this long for a HUGE drop and waited for all the other sells to finish before you start selling!!!


there is no "account" in bitcoin and you can not measure the number of bitcoin users! the number of accounts on some exchange is not the best way of measuring it either.

In reality investors and hodlers do not always sell of their holdings and count their losses whenever the market drops. There might be a drop in the traffic on social platforms and a general dismay about the down market, but true holders, hodl.
They have an understanding of the market and it's potential to grow.

Most people already know about crypto because when people see the uptrend on Nov 2017, they are amaze and unexpected that it can reach almost $ 20.000

For the next year 2019, become the new year of crypto because it will show it's identity , show it's momentum.
Let say if it keep downtrend, I'm sure it won't be reach bitcoin value on year 2014

As the saying goes, buy when there's blood on the street so I say that this is a good opportunity to purchased while they're cheap. Yes, we can't predict the future but if you look at its early data, the market works in a cycle, so we just have to wait till the bears are exhausted and expect a reversal next year.

We are all the time is in danger if we are crypto users and bitcoin is the new currency so something is coming with it so if we invest with care then bitcoin is profitable for us and with this we can go ahead and for now the patience and market analysis is best.

Everyone has a psychological limit, unfortunately. Bitcoin price has fallen so far again, yes. But although it is similar in terms of "percentage", the USD has scared the people. It lost its value about 17K USD. It is not easy to trust it again. I can understand that people.

you could have said this the first couple of times but after 10 years of having the same trend of a big rise then a big drop but not to previous low which still leaves some rise and then a stable phase and then the next big rise.
so i don't get why some people are so surprised when the same exact thing that has happened multiple times before is happening again.

Absolutely Bitcoin is still the leading cryptocurrency coin in the market. It is also true that the market is bleeding red now as the market outlook has been bearish most part of the year 2018. This situation in the market will not persist as there will soon be a reversal and the market price will change from being bearish to bullish and the market will be alive again.

Bitcoin is going nowhere. A wave has amplitude. A high and low point. Severally, we have described bitcoin and the technology as a wave so we should not be expecting a one way movement. It is a pattern. Just check up the pattern of the bitcoin wave and you will not be swayed.

The only reason why they leave bitcoin because of the down price is they do not want to lose money anymore. All of use do not want to lose money and even me I do not want to lose money but I will never leave it because I know somewhere in the future it will recover and become more expensive.

Every cycle, a huge number of non-believers are flushed away from the market, and this time around, a similar thing happened, causing further drops in bitcoin as was expected. Even then, businesses and people who are genuinely interested are still coming to bitcoin in waves, and are not deterred by the gloomy market conditions. Needless to say, price alone isn't the deciding factor of how good a crypto can be, and if people would choose it or not. In fact, every downturn just opens up an opportunity for people to be a part of the market, hence the growing number of users amid the reds.

2019 would be explosive, but could not be as explosive as 2017 where an ATH occurred.

I think most of this antagonism against the bitcoin,is all cos it rose to an unprecedented 20000 last year,thus people are expecting so much from the bitcoin today,and they seem to have forgotten how low the bitcoin was previously and the very steady part it took to attain it's present level
 You can't always expect the bitcoin to maintain it's high level price,rise and fall is synonymous with the network,the more reason why patience is key

Bitcoin truly will be entering a new are after the almost never-ending bearish market that has persisted till date. I think the bottom has been reached and there is the tendency that the price will soon reverse and the bulls will take over and then the price correction starts. I believe that before the first quarter of next year the bitcoin market would have recovered.

You don't need to be hasty about this things, we should be really patient.

Bitcoin pumps and dump, that is normal as it is a volatile cryptocurrency. No one knows what will happen to its price in the past, all we know is that it only has 2 paths to take. Its either the price pumps at new heights or either dump to lower price. The demand of it will tell in the upcoming months.

I also saw it, including there are still many investors who still feel hesitant to enter the market today. Maybe they are still waiting for the best time, and if that happens the boom I'm sure this red will turn green.

I did not understand.

1 year ago the price reached $ 20,000 and today the price is at  $3500, that's a scary fall. if you had invested 100 million dollars when the price was $ 20,000, then today you would have reason to celebrate nothing. unfortunately we can not forget that the price is very low if we compare with $ 20,000

we are in 2018 and we have only seen a very small number of governments accepting bitcoin, we have not yet seen a considerable number legalize bitcoin and use bitcoin as a means of payment.

So why are we going to say: " The new era of BITCOIN is here "?

On the day we use bitcoin as a means of payment in all countries then on that day you can say:

" The new era of BITCOIN is here "

I'm glad if bitcoin users are still in the top rank, it seems like it's not in doubt anymore, because at the moment it's a bitcoin if I think personally, especially if the current bitcoin price like last year would be possible to add bitcoin users keep increasing every month or year.

I think this bitcoin system if we expect to be able to use it in the future it cannot meet the requirements due to the lack of stability. That is what is still a disadvantage of bitcoin. So even though some people consider bitcoin and blockchain to be the best system, but the massive application still can't prove the same thing

This indeed is interesting that  user amount seems to be growing, it could be explained that some people are wiling to risk realtively small amounts of money on the possibility that this is the bottom or close to it.

That's right, despite its long debacle, it's clear that bitcoin is still the favorite currency of most users, it's important to know that since many may lose hope when it comes to investing in the market, thinking that it will not recover, something that will definitely happen.

I pretty much agree with this even though the market wrnt down alot, price of Bitcoin was so much down. But still, there were some other achievements when we look beyond price levels. We saw some adoption, more people getting in and some institutions beaming green light to Blockchain. It's the beginning of a new era, whether good or bad, we'll know im the long run.

Bitcoin is still at it developmental stage and at that so many things can affect it price and activities the big players always fine ways to manipulate the market to they own advantage, but I know when the price of bitcoin is down its a great opportunity to buy more bitcoin and hodle.

I wouldn't say that there is a new era of bitcoin at all.

Bitcoin hasn't changed one single bit in terms of how it operates fundamentally and the benefits that it offers both technically and economically. All that has changed is the price, and that is due to market cycles and psychology that doesn't necessarily affect the bitcoin network.

Thus, the most important thing out of all about bitcoin isn't really its value, but rather adoption figures.

And right now it seems like there is still an increasing amount of adopters, which is somewhat surprising in this bear market, but still shows promise for the future. After all, adoption is what sparks demand in the long term anyways.

As at now,  there is nothing new about the era of this bitcoin even with the situation the market. New era will come when we have more adoption, acceptance , and usage. And also when we more improvement on the network,  transaction size and speed,  confirmation time and transaction fee.  This will take bitcoin to a far height. 

the electability and credibility of bitcoin are undoubted, everyone believes that BTC is the best of all investment places, BTC does not compete with fiat, because fiat will disappear, but BTC will compete with gold in the future.

The stability of bitcoin will take it in fhe long term. We just need to have a position right now. Meanwhile, I quit to look at the exchange. Watchin in the price of whole market gets me annoying. I become disgust because all of my investment turns to a shit. Goodbye cryptocurrency right now, but I will urge once the market recovers again. I hope bitcoin will capable to return its peak again.

Yes ERA probably isnt the right term to use, I would pit forward the word 'Phase'.
With the coming of the new year we will be entering a new phase. I guess the
OP is eluding to it as is Franky1 and I think a lit of people are on the right track
but its difficult to pinpoint exactly what will be involved.

We can be confident of more adoption, enough people know about bitcoin so
that when the next positive uptrend starts it will hopefully bring even more users.

right now is the era of bitcoin, why? we cans ee that right now the bitcoin volume is very high and i think the bitcoin demand is increasing more and more again, so in this time we will see that the price of bitcoin is increasing more and more again.

Bitcoin future is determine by the people, so if everyone want bitcoin to be the best then it could happen, we need to see the potential of bitcoin not just the current price, if we can make more stores accepting bitcoin then the price will automatically increase, bitcoin create a new way of doing transaction, from the potential I can see bitcoin will have a good future

While the future of bitcoin is going to be affected in a very important way by the adoption of the people, there are still other factors like how banks and governments are going to react to bitcoin becoming that powerful, are they just going to accept it or they are going to try stop it, whatever decision they take is going to deeply affect how bitcoin is perceived by the rest of the people.

I am sure more and more people will come into Bitcoin due to hedge funds and other funds coming in to buy much Bitcoin over the counter to resell and re package in funds to their rich clients. I think this will mainly happen in 2019 and 2020, then Bitcoin will be a household name and maybe worth over 20k USD again but not go down like it did before. I think we might get a new all time high next year or end of next year going into 2020 when Bitcoin blocks halve, then reach a new low floor of around 12-15k USD.

Only bitcoin can control the entire market flow. Whether we accept it or not, the trend seems like that. This could be the normal scenario of bitcoin and the cryptos. Less demands of bitcoin can affect the price the result decline to the low level base on how much the demands. More demands the more the price increase most specially if there will have a person who buy bitcoin in slowly step by step progress of high price. Bitcoin won't be dead and cannot be denied as strong and meaningful coin in crypto.

I don't know the reason but a lot of these "wise investors" you are saying is already saying that Bitcoin is done. We all knew that it is not true since the price is still making a movement that can still generate a profit but some investors are being scared of what might happen. The price pumps again yesterday and then it dumps just after some hour. We dont know what might happen but as long as it keeps on giving me a profit, I will keep on holding unto it.

This is the utterly the sad truth, BTC is not broke, so I don't know why people are looking at Bitcoin like its broken and they think that it will die soon, well guess what? the price is going up and it looks like it gonna go up at a continuous manner, we don't have anything to fix with BITCOIN, what we have to fix is the community's outrageous comments when the market is red.

well, it will get better when the end of this year the price of bitcoin managed to pass the price of $ 4k. well, even though it has a high probability, however, I think a real development will occur within 10 days.

Many people have predicted the price of bitcoin in the future and they predict smoothly, I have read that this year's bitcoin price will reach the lowest price of $2500 and a bull run will occur at the beginning of 2010 that will cost $333,000, a little inconclusive but with a move the fast predictive price of bitcoin can happen. Maybe a prediction will not give you satisfaction, but it will be better if someone keeps looking for the lowest price of bitcoin and buy it then holds it until he gets a big profit or at least he gets a profit.

There are two possibilities of why they are saying that, maybe that is what they believe and in that case there is nothing to do but accept that they have lost faith in the market if they ever had it, but it is also possible that they are trying to make more people sell and they are trying to make it seem as if they have lost confidence in the market and they are using that tactic to buy coins for an even cheaper price.

My point of view almost the same as like you! This is the new start of a new journey, not the end! Some people feel peace by calling bitcoin dead but they always will prove a FUDDER! At this moment, the Bitcoin price is increasing gradually and the market trend is very well! We can hope a prospering new Era of crypto in 2019! 

OP nor bitcoin was first crypto currency too so I have no idea why did you put fb's and google's examples. What do you call new era of bitcoin? It's price rise? I can't think so but bitcoin itself is a new era with it's functions, possibilities and blockchain technologies which means crypto is a new era, a new type of currency.
Bitcoin is very unpredictable and thinking with data is still very hard.

I see more and more people are getting into the bitcoins network causing for the increase in the demand of bitcoins which naturally causes for the rise in the price of bitcoins, anyways before the next halving of bitcoins the difficulty of mining bitcoins will be increased and due to high demand for bitcoins the price of bitcoins will shoot up and there are possibility for the price of bitcoins to hit 1 million US dollar and the game of bitcoins will start as all there will be mass adoption of bitcoins which will increase the price of units of bitcoins which is the price of satoshis.

The thread was created by the last month of the year 2018. By those days the market was reddish, later it has begun to grow little by little. In the recent days the market was experiencing strong fluctuation, and after a long now the market has been recovering slowly. In this way the red market has turned green. Maybe this present market situation get to be a new bitcoin era.

Haven experienced a long deep bearish market for over months, the new era of Bitcoin has just gradually be setting in; as the market now appreciate in team of price. Lol never did i become alarmed whenever bitcoin price dumped because i took every chance as opportunity to purchase more(if i had a capital to buy since i have limited budget as family man)and i only laught those people that panicked when the market falls down,for they are so afraid of losing but don’t wanna risk the investments

Anytime is a good time to buy bitcoin and this time to me is the best time the price are reduces as compared to what it was in 2017 and also bitcoin is gaining a very good deal of acceptance globally and I predict soon the price of one bitcoin might to high to purchase

For long term investors who don't mind the current situations, buying and keep storing each time you've got the chance to get cheap value of bitcoin,
take the advantage and accumulate, there's always a reversal and for sure in the long run the last peak will be reached or might be more than the
last high, mass adoptions will be the game changer so better to make sure to have an slice of investment.

I think that if in 10 years still did not produce any worthy competitor, then that says a lot. Bitcoin remains the king of the market and it is very cool that people's involvement in crypto is growing every year.

There is a lot of Bullish analysis recently from Crypto analysts and I don't know why they are doing this all in a sudden maybe and they are talking about the pattern that happened in the Bitcoin's movement in the past. If we consolidated at the $4,000 US dollars consolidation period of Bitcoin just like what is happening right now there is a chance that we will hit the new all-time high in the following months or years, but still, it is unpredictable and no one really knows what is going to happen. 8)

So what you want is people here will buy at higher prices?why not buy your own on those value you wanted to be bought?
We are waiting for lower value as this is the only way to gain better and because it is not affordable to purchase in such prices.
Specially people like me who's willing to wait even for years before harvesting my income from my investments,so respect our position as we are respecting yours

i knew why they are doing it . they are doing it because they want to encourage people to buy . they want the price of bitcoin to increase because they are also investors that wants to earn big profit  . i actually like thier advocacy even if most of them are not accurate enough  .  @op what do you mean when you say new era ?  you mean the trend ? well the trend seems to be a little bullish and definetly will continue but bitcoin is still bitcoin , what we experience is just a normal phenomenon  .

Yeah, we can say that it is new era of Bitcoin, after a big pump now bitcoin has come in dump. However it is new time to buy bitcoin again and hold it and wait for a time, But it is good only for newly bitcoin investors. And if we are old investors then we have only one way to hold it and see the rising price, because we know past history of bitcoin. 

Price of bitcoin not inceease. And the whole crypro was affected and because of that we cant find a good investors.

If you see the existence of bitcoin at this time you really have to be really patient because the price is weak but it is very unfortunate for the people who left it but actually this must be understood and its existence will recover quickly and I am sure it will happen soon.
