Me too HODLING.

I spent half of my hundreds of bitcoin and (free) bitcoin cash for a fortune.  I shall keep the remaining half until it is worth ten times or more what it was worth a year ago.

My crypto estimated as "New Jeep" (1 year ago) has become bicycle (now)  ;D
After some time it will be again Jeep, later Lambo with HODL strategy.
I AM HODLING

Hodling is only valid for as long as it is profitable. Bitcoin is a very dynamic market and also very unpredictable.
With the understanding of the foundamentals, if you predict the price would rise above the value at the time you bought, then by all means hodl.
Bear in mind there are other ways to profit from the bitcoin market, without having to diversify.

I am hodling until the next bitcoin halving event. I'm sure it will be even bigger than the last one so we're looking at $30k at least around 2021. Just need to stock up enough before that happens

Today, a good strategy is hodling, or trading carefully. buying is not the right time, I see that a good time to buy is January 2019.

We are all HODLing and all hoping that the price goes up at this point, but if you'd look at the charts right now, you won't believe what you are about to see, the price goes up at a sudden moment and it is continuously going up, the pump started at December 17 and we are all hoping that the price would continue to go up even further, goodluck HODLERS!

Had a chance to sell at 20k but i didnt (as a lot of you guys) now constantly adding fiat money into crypto, hope i wont be broke in a year

Holding for me is the best way to not lose, as low as any bitcoin falls but bitcoin will not die, bitcoin will always have a chance to rise.

Of course, yes, my philosophy is hodl to use!, so I do not get affected by the market price, because I trust so much in bitcoin that I think it will be the currency of the future, of course everything has a process and I know that it is not easy to replace the traditional system, but hopefully, we will already be achieving it in the coming years

Most of people who are hodling just don't have other choice - nobody wants to exit with a big loss. If someone entered into Bitcoin at $20k, it would be unbeleavable stupid to lesve now. Maybe it will took long time to get profit, but if you already invested to cryptocurrencies, you had to be ready for it. Main thing for hodlers is patience now.
Personally, I got most of my Bitcoins when it was under $3500, so I don't see reasons to panic now. I entered into this world when Bitcoin was worth only $200 :)

Yes! of course hodling is the best option now! Matter of fact accumulation in my opinion is a great idea too. Imagine being able to stack up while BTC is in great discount. For all we know it will just grow and grow. Plus we owe it to bitcoin that this technology is now greatly known.
As a trader i think it is of great time to buy as much as we can.

Who would want to sell at this point in time? Taking advantage of the discounted price is the best move. I'm pretty sure that holding your coins till the next bitcoin halving would really give you decent profits.

It's not just all about hodling. You should set some goals on where to stop at some point of profit. Sometimes greed can make us lose everything we have. Don't let greed cloud your judgement for there's no such thing as forever.  ;D

I am also holding my Bitcoin. As a decentralized coin, Bitcoin has a big opportunity to prove itself that it is the future of money. It will help the people to reduce the time and money on transaction. For hitting a big price, we should strong hold our Bitcoin.

"HODLING" is the best thing we can do to show to others how much we trust Bitcoin or the whole crypto currency, only the strong one's will stay.

As you can see, you can still see many people who prefer to hold their bitcoin than sell it now simply because they are the people who believe in the great potential. No one can stop people to do holding especially in this bearish market. Just make plan before you buy more bitcoin.

Now maximum bitcoin investors, traders holding Bitcoin due to cheap markets. Because they invested when prices high, but low prices they defused to sell.

I have seen many traders those who have lost their funds when trading. And I also saw some people made good profit by holding, they buy more in the bear market to hold for long-term. Which the way to be a rich guy in the crypto market? Traders or holders?

I am really glad that there are still many cryptocurrency users who hodl bitcoin just like me. Bitcoin is the first digital currency I learned to use, hodl and earn from. some of us wanted to hodl, some of us hodling because we lost most of our money this year.i couldnt move until 2 months ago and there are still more than %50 of money inside.all i can do is wait the bull season.

Holding is a good way to earn profit especially if you hold good and potential cryptocurrecies. Aside from holding bitcoinctry to hold other cryptocurrencies that have great potential. Its hard to predict the price of one cryptocurrency.

I also prefer to hold and believe crypto technology will be more advanced in the future, because crypto can provide benefits for those who believe it.

Holding doesn't really do much for the general market though. There has to be movement in a healthy market. That means that btc should be used, moving through transactions. Holding is mainly for individual goals.

Happy 5th HODLING anniversary! I'm into the future of bitcoin so whether it goes back to $1,000 again, I don't care as well but there's some bit of pain of not selling when I see it.

But to remove that pain, I'm moving forward for a better future and position of bitcoin few years from now. Those who make fun of those holders, I don't know what to say with you guys so don't worry with our losses.  :)

Yes the market is improving now and slowly moving up, I guess small investors will get a small relief at least now and I hope the market will go in the green track for few days. It's better to hodl until the market goes up to a constant value.

I still hold half of my bitcoin because I sell the half of bitcoin last year where the price hit the $20000. I'm still waiting for the bull and green market so I can sell out the rest of my bitcoin and I will by new altcoin and I will hold it again.

Historical cycles will repeat itself for sure. I never invest the amount which i cant handle to lose it. Let the matket cycle repeat itself and everyone will know who was hodler :)  There are 2 type of market activity in trading: Buy and sell. Expecting the best with not selling is not definition of hodl..

What you mean with 'buy new altcoin and hold it again'? That you're aiming to buy into a coin that hasn't proven itself in the hope it becomes the next Bitcoin or Ethereum? I doubt you'll succeed by following that direction.

99.9% of the altcoins won't ever manage to blow up like that. In the short term some of them might do x100-x1000 but you can't possibly know which coin it will be. If you think utility matters here you're wrong.

Coins will pump regardless of the utility they rock. All that needs to happen is Bitcoin to start bubbling up, and the rest will follow. At the end of the day, it's your money so you decide what to do with it, but at least use common sense.

What will repeat is the bulls/bears cycle but we can't predict when it's going happened. I guess there's nothing wrong with HODL strategy specially if you don't like to do short day trading. And we have seen how holders did make a lot of money at the end of 2017 so it's a win-win situation for them. The only drawback is you have to be mentally tough and should know when to book that profits to buy that "Lambo".

I am also into holding these time since price has not recover yet. Good thing you sell half of your btc when it was 20k. So hoping btc price were cross a higher price again so still I am holding also my btc.

Im also hodl Eth, Ripl, 3dc and some ICO tokens for the future, becouse i dont's understand people who sell it now.

I held back my assets for 1 year and finally became worthless, I was very sorry I did not sell everything at that time.I can only pray that the price of bitcoin will rise

iam holding my bitcoin in Lending Operations since around 4 years XD
its small amount not much under 10 bitcoins but they growing slow and i dont need them so its a funny gambling money.
Also iam using it to found my faucets.

People actually don't care about the value or bitcoin, they are worried about losing out their asset while bitcoin goes downfall.
I like your words that Holding is better than selling when the price drops, let keep holding for long term than making daily profit. Long term is more profitable than daily profit.

patience, you are not alone I also feel what you feel. I suggest keeping hold is the best course of action, a few days the price starts going up let's wait and sell when prices start high.

Well we really need to hold, only stupid person will sell thier asset for nothing or for lose. If we are going to look at the market I believe that we can all see that the best thing to do is to buy more coin and hold due to the huge dip tgat we are experiencing, we can maybe earn a lot in the near future if we buy and stock more crypto coin today. Specially the eth and btc they are now on a very cheap status which lead us to have a big advantage on buying because we can only spend a minimal amount and we can expect great return when bull market occur, but I think we really need to have a very big patience in here because the market today has no sigh of bull market maybe it will take a long time before bull market appear.

Holding is the best way when the market decreases, but it doesn't have to hold long, because you also have to determine the right time to sell it.

Holding tokens ,coins and altcoins are not really good for a long period of time ,but for this moment that the cryptocurrency market is on continue of price value falldown then it is better to keep and hodl your coins in your wallet foe a while until the time the market will draw a sudden up and rise of price value.

that doesn't mean we can't do anything other than holding, there are many ways to reduce the losses suffered in this bear market.
if only holding can make you comfortable, your choice is not the choice of all those who are here.

It may have taken a lot of time but it will come. Somehow I could see a lot of regretful people afterwards.

The thought of being a part of the people who holds bitcoin when it grows being used by merchants and other businesses is the key. When all of it happens it will be pride that will enter.

bitcoin has always been a game of big ups and downs and only a handful of wiser people who accumulate during the dips while enjoying the big rises that come afterwards. the holding is only true and working if you are among those who accumulate during the times when every idiot on the internet is talking about how bitcoin is dead and then sell a small portion of the coins you acquired cheap back to them at a higher price when they beg it from you!

Same goes for me we've seen huge gains in 2017 so it's normal for bitcoin and altcoin price to decline this year as some of the people are cashing out of their investment when they've invested in the dips. So when you see crypto price, crashing dont panic instead do some cost averaging and put little money on crypto's to invest at a lower price.

you should only invest in things that have potential during their drops not everything. so when you say "crypto" you are misleading people into thinking that every crash of every altcoin is also a good time to buy that coin which obviously is not. many of them will never go back up from their crashes in 2018 specially the ICO tokens.

The people who bought when the price was $ 20,000 care a lot because up to now they are having very big losses and we can not think that this is nothing because this is something that we should worry about.

In my experience in cryptocurrency trading and investing there are some times that we need to sell our coins and eat our pride in order to avoid further damage or loss in our investment and start a new investment again with a new strategy and coins.

But just like HODL that kind of strategy won't work all of the time too so it's really up to us whether we're going to accept and cut our losses and start with the new investment or we're going to HODL and wait for the certain cryptocurrency to recover without assurance.

When someone bought @20K they were expecting 50k or more. When people bought at @1$ they never thought bitcoin will reach 20K. Bitcoin needed a correction after reaching 20K. If you are taking bitcoin as an investment to make money then you have problems. If bitcoin is a future currency for you then fiat value does not matter.

As long as I don't need any urgency to use them.

I am also a crypto holder. I also holding my all bitcoin. I am not hold only bitcoin I hold altcoin also. Holding bitcoin is better than sell. If you hold your bitcoin for a long time then you will get a better benefit. It is sure that bitcoin holding is more profitable. Alt coin holding is also profitable. So thats why I hold my altcoin like LTC, ETH, Doge etc. If you wish then you can also hold altcoin. Some times I do trade with my bitcoin. I never cares about bitcoin price. Bitcoin holding is my passion. I like to hold for long time. I never sell my bitcoin.

We all should hold bitcoin. Because one day bitcoin price will very high. So it is the time to hold your bitcoin. You can buy some bitcoin and hold it for long time.

Yes, this condition is not so good for crypto currency. For bitcoin, it is not right time for selling. We should hold our bitcoin with strong mind. We will be able to gain much profit soon if we hold it now.

I wish I had Bitcoin to hodl right now, for now everything is going to feed the family and take care of the home, because of the bad market conditions, I am not in a leveraged position to be able to hold Bitcoin. I do hope that one day the market conditions will improve some what and we will be able to start saving and collecting Bitcoin again. If I could save 2k USD worth of Bitcoin I would get a Nexo loan to survive another month or so before we can try to bring in more funds for survival.

Well to hodl looks like the last resort for now, probably maybe except one is still yet in profit,thats the current price is less that what the user purchased for,that will be the old boys who bought bitcoins a long time ago

Holding is pretty risky when the market value is going so down and am really scared if actually it will be dumped.
I think people are switching off to other platforms, and in many places government is forcing them to .
First they are banning transactions from banks related to any crypto currencies and then they are getting completely banned so i don't think it's going on the right way.
The countries are getting hostile towards cryptos and I think it might result in a bad thing , soon enough it may die or may plunge higher than ever.
I think instead of buying you should hold onto the ones you have already, if everything goes bad I think you won't go in that much loss.

I also hold the coins but I always put aside some of the money I do not hide it ($2300) to buy cryptocurrency at a low price. If not, I'll buy my kids toys.

Life is all about risk,and you may not make a meaningful progress  if you have not concluded to take a calculated risks.The truth still remains,one has small percentage of making huge amount of money in crypto if he is not a hardcore holder. However,this is the bitter truth people don't want to hear,but that is the fact.I know that people ate afraid of holding because of the bear market that befall crypto market at present,but that is how the market has been from on set.
In other words,people that made huge amount of money in crypto are the ones that bought and hold bitcoin at the time its market capitalization has not reached $10 million.At that time,bitcoin price go down to almost -94%,but they never sold because they are focus,dogged and determined. They don't follow their own rules not minding the wave hitting the market.Some of them sold in December, 2017  at the time their target has  reached.
So,if you want to make it huge in crypto market  follow the principle that would place you at the top,and one of the basic  principles is to hold valuable coin like bitcoin.I said this because,from history,bitcoin price  goes down to come to skyrocket at the time people are expecting .

Until now I keep on holding my bitcoin and I'm willing to wait for another bull run even it takes couple of year to wait. All of us are now holding our bitcoin and I know the time will come where the price of all cryptocurrencies will rise and we can see another bull run of market.

For me, from $20k to $3k++ is not too unreal because in crypto, everything about the price can happening any time.
Buying more in this price is not a bad action, it is still cheaper from the price of most peoples bought.

I am holding too and may the God of bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies grant us more profits in some days to come. We are hoping that our patience will be rewarded by the market as it has been happening in other years . I remember when bitcoin when in 2013, many holders were latter rewarded and even over rewards.  I could remember that some of us were happy last year and the way the market was moving then but now cryptocurrencies market is down and now give that same opportunities for the new investors to also come in.

It is the good option and good decision to hold as of now. The value is getting lower nowadays so better we can can hold for few weeks so that the value rises again and will be able to see the changes in the market to gain some good profit by holding. Hope for the good days to come soon..

If you invested in the past years of buying bitcoin, it is better to hodl and patiently wait for the right time to trade or sell your bitcoin with earning a profit. But if you invested now or within just this past month, i think its good for you also to hodl, but if you trade or sell and earn atleat few profit, its also a choice.

Well, some people spending their money/crypto on cloth and families need is a yearly thing and this is what cause some slight decrease in the price of the market during Christmas. With that been said, I will advice to be more careful with the act of packing altcoins due to it been highly manipulated and it will be better if you're much busy packing BTC with little altcoins.

I'm fairly new to this game but at least I can say that I bought before the 2017 bull market and did not sell all of it. I sold most of the coins that I earned in signature campaigns but I kept the original Bitcoins bought 2 years ago. Congratulations to all the strong hands!

Yes, bitcoin is a good coin to HODL. It shows good results in the long run. So I'm also using HODL. I think there is very little time left and we will see a market reversal. I think it's time to buy some more.

Holding is one of the best and safest way to do in order to earn income in cryptocurrency or in bitcoins.
In holsing your patience will be tested because it will take a longer period of time.

If you lose no more than 5% I sell and buy it again at the lowest price, because holding requires strong patience, but if it's 10% I choose to hold until the highest price

Unfortunately, we have no choice but to keep our investments. Price went down very low and sell the bitcoin at a value it's foolhardy, so whether we like it or not, but we hodling.

It looks like we don't have other alternatives than holding coins which decrease every single day. There always will be opportunities to grab but this year was horrible for those who addicted to cryptocurrency trading. I hope one day in future i will remember this days as joke.

To be honest, I prefer not even watching the price of bitcoin. Of course, I am constantly aware of its cost, but not paying much attention to it. I understand that bitcoin will fluctuate in price for a long time, but I immediately counted on it as a long-term investment. So now the price for me does not matter much.

Long-term investing, or as it is often called hodl, is my initial strategy of earning with bitcoin. I think this is the way you can really make something in cryptocurrency. Therefore, I advise everyone to keep their bitcoins and not to sell them, especially in such a difficult period for its value.
