If there's a year of celebration, definitely there's also one for despair. But if we took some actions like getting profits when the market was good, then it's not a problem even if this year was a great sanitary landfill burning like hell.  ;D

I think that the best description of what has happened on the cryptocurrency market over the last year is a chart of each coin. You don't need expert knowledge to see that all prices have been burning to the ground from month to month.

Okay, we ought to know all about that, but I guess a lot of people doesn't still get all about inside the financial investment system that there are times with downs and highs.

Very true for 2018, very big dump. I hope many of us hoped for a bigger things as many hands came on board for bitcoin but things turn upside down. Just some few days to the end of the year and I actually can not say there will be drastic increase in price but rather the fact is that 2018 has been a dump. And as we know even as humans we are not bound to smile always, sometimes we mourn so let face it and embrace ourselves for better 2019 for bitcoin

And why do you think that? Just because the prices crashed? Which, pretty much happens every few years based on past data? Seriously. Take a few mins to look at the ups and downs of the prices in the past years.

Last year we've encountered countless higher high that led the market to be oversold. So it's natural to think that the market will undergo a correction that's why its important not to buy in an uptrend or bullrun, this year was cashing out of the whales and correcting to make a healthy market. This should be a good chance to buy while you still have time.

Not only was it a dumpster fire it was a roller coaster for some markets. There were a lot of people that lost money me included. But also some that made a lot. From some of the swings in values by playing the high risk investments or buying and selling on volatility.

Dumpster burning will always be there. It was there during 2017 (less in numbers), it was there in 2018 (higher in number) and it will remain as a constant truth in 2019 and the years to come as well. This is due to the mindset of the people who are just investing in bitcoin to get profit. While speculators and investors are an integral part of the crypto ecosystem because they are the volume churners, we also need a class of people who wish to spend bitcoins in their daily life.

I am sure we have a lot of like minded people in this community who are willing to spend bitcoins for their daily purchases, but due to the legal blockades in their respective country, they are not able to do so. So if you think that there will be no dumpster burning in 2019, that's not gonna happen! Instead we just need to keep up the ray of hope amidst all these chaos to see a better tomorrow!

Bitcoin is not special or immune to market speculation and price correction, this happens with all commodities and stocks on the Stock market too. Yes, 2018 was a bad year for Bitcoin investors and most of the speculators got burnt, but for the long-term hodlers this was just a temporary correction in the market price.

Most long-term hoarders did not feel the impact of this, because they did not sell a single coin during this period. The speculators that were looking for quick profits panicked and they probably lost a lot of money.  :P  :(

This year had the best stability we have experienced in bitcoin and the average support over the course of the year was much higher than previous year. Just coming after a huge pump, people had high expectations for bitcoin in 2018 which were not fulfilled.
A lot of progress was made this year, in fronts of adoption, and government acceptance. A lot of emphasis has also been put on the blockchain

Well if you just a newbie that start to know crypto when the price on its peak then, 2018 will looks like dumpster on fire, it extremely hard broken to see the price fall down so hard, but if you an early adopter then you will see that the price still good, compare to the old days, 2018 the price got a huge correction, maybe 2019 will be more friendly
