Post by: BTCgrinders.com on December 26, 2018, 10:08:36 AM
Hello, I'm on an electrum-ltc wallet and trying to send a few litecoins to a litecoin address that starts with 3L.... and I get a message saying "invalid line...."

Thanks for the help!

are you sure the address you are pasting in your wallet send text box is a correct address? also try posting the whole error message it helps identifying the problem easier. "invalid line..." can be anything. my guess is that there is a problem in your address. try searching the address on some LTC blockexplorer like blockcypher.com and see if you get a similar error

It's a valid address on litecoin block explorer.

It's a valid address on litecoin block explorer.

i don't use Electrum-LTC to be sure but maybe it is rejecting the old format addresses which were starting with 3. try converting it to the new format starting with M and try again:

make sure you understand what is happening and the address is correct before sending a big amount to it though.
