Title: Reputable service selling gas cards for Bitcoin?
Post by: squatter on December 26, 2018, 10:45:53 AM
Are there any reputable sites that sell gas station gift cards for BTC? Things like Shell or ExxonMobil gift cards. I don't see anything listed on eGifter or Gyft and I'm trying to avoid P2P trading due to the fraud risk.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you tried to check the Purse.io? I tried checking the term "gas card" and it shows some gas card on their list I don't know if it is what you are looking for. You can check it from the link below.

Here is the link https://purse.io/search/gas%20card

You can also check this site https://www.bitrefill.com/buy Put your country and it will show all gift card list. I don't know if they have a gas card or ExxonMobil cards just check it and maybe you can find some.

it's getting harder and harder to find stuff like this. a couple years ago there was a site called coinfuel.io and they sold gas station cards. the site is down now and it looks like they may have ended up scamming people.

until recently, i used to buy walmart gift cards with bitcoin. then i'd buy prepaid visa/mastercard gift cards with those gift cards which could be used at any gas station. as of a couple months ago, you can no longer use walmart gift cards to buy third party gift cards. >:(

there's another possibility if you're located in a state with murphy USA gas stations---they partner with walmart and accept their gift cards for gas. you can get walmart gift cards on bitrefill.

Bitrefill don't have any as far as I know and Purse.io only sell physical cards and I couldn't find any gas card either.

I've searched most of the other services and I couldn't find any. I think you'll have to go with peer to peer trading.

Indeed, nothing on Bitrefill.

Visa gift cards would work too but those are prohibited on Purse. You can find some listings if you search but when you click through, the page is either removed or there's a message saying you can't buy the item. Purse also seems like a big fraud risk anyway.

No Walmart gas stations around here, either.

I think you'll have to go with peer to peer trading.

Seems like it. I'm thinking my best bet might be to find a trusted trader on this forum and swap for Paypal. You can buy Visa gift cards on Paypal.

If there are major gas card or similar businesses you know that support voucher codes, let us know which and we can add them to our list of products to add. We are adding products constantly and want to make sure we carry what users want most!
