Apparently, since December 2017 (WavesNG) - I would have thought Waves would be top 3 platform.

I can attest to that I have some waves transfer from one wallet to another and they are fast and really cheap but what traders and holders wants is a new interface to make it easy for traders to navigate, sometimes there are lags in their exchange, but over all it is indeed very fast.

I do not know why I havent got Waves in my altcoins portfolio. I have almost every altcoins from top 20, but Waves doesnt have. Maybe it was not interesting for me at the first sight, I will take a look on it again.

I can vouch for that. Being involved in the Testnet stress tests at the time.

Mind you, Waves Platform is a LOT, LOT more than the fastest blockchain.

I don't know if this is true, but regardless if it is true or not, Waves platform is very promising in terms of blockchain technology and investment for long term. The usefuless, security and accessibility of wave platform made blockchain technology easy to use. In terms of investment, a bigger percent profit is most likely due to low current price.

In my opinion, it can be true or not. in knowledge I don't understand if waves are the fastest bockchain in the world. because until now I don't have waves yet and haven't tried it yet.

It's not. Basically it doesn't have a high accuracy. We don't need the fastest blockchain or something like that. If waves can still be considered as security and what's the differences?

XLM isn't decentralised so you are comparing chalk with cheese. The masternode's can't be considered 'public' either.

Waves can sustain 10K TPS with bulk transfers. So Waves clearly is the fastest.

It's no good having 'utility' as you say, when the network is slow and congested.

Fast transfers, payments and airdrops etc are a big factor in selecting which platform to use for a utility token.

From personal experience, I think Waves is the fastest in processing my transactions. Well done to the Waves team.

and mind to tell me, where did you see that waves can sustain 10k TPS? obviously, it'll be the fastest blockchain in our world if it is true, but until now.
I have yet to figure this out on the internet? not even on their social media mention it.

The 10K TPS figure is for mass transfers - 100TPS X 100 (MAX) mass transfer = 10K TPS.
The mass transfer really is very useful for airdrops and other transfer types where lots of payments need to be made.

I am not sure if Waves is the fastest blockchain in the world, but I don't know why this is generating huge noise, being fast does mean it is safe, I have seen many ICO in the space promising fast speed but they are not secured. Security of the platfrom is the most important thing to me and other things like speed follows

Moreover, fast transactions/speed is not a criteria for a good cryptocurrency/platform. In some perspective, bitcoin transactions are instant only confirmations need up to 10 minutes of time. At the same time I'm not doubting about the security of waves platform as they are keep updating their questions more frequently.

Waves is always my favorite coins and platform and I always thinking about why it is not as big as successful how ethereum is doing. I guess this time waves may knock out its competitors as it is having limited supply and many other attractive features which are good for convincing any level of investors.

Are you joking? The Waves is the fastest blockchain in the whole world among lots of others very strong and really fast blockchains? So I do not consider it to be the fastest. And it should be done a lot first in order it becomes the fastest.

I am wondering why Wave is so fast but Ethereum is still used in most projects. And projects on Wave seem to be ineffective, at least their token prices. So, fast is not most feature of a blockchain technology. All are just "they claim", their is no evidence from a third-party.

There are many coins with fast speed. If the coins are concentrated, the speed is usually very fast. I don’t think that speed is the pursuit now. Otherwise, the price of Ethereum has already been surpassed. The speed is not scarce. The first-mover advantage is important, not speed.

Maybe because it makes the investor confidence level so high that the waves rise faster than other altcoins. Waves can keep the price above the average of other altcoins

I have seen a lot of articles about Waves recently. They also raised the advantages of Waves. I also recognize them very much, but I am very disappointed in the bear market, even if a good project is difficult to get attention.

News on Waves has recently increased rapidly. I think they're trying to raise the Waves price. And they are doing it.

Don't be disappointed because this is just part of the game. We have already waited for about a year now so we are getting closer to the tail end of the bear season and we might see 2019 as the start of a bull run. As far as Waves though, it's debatable, you will hear the XRP or even LTC is faster so as they say. But if you see this kind of article, I have doubts though, maybe they just wanted to give it a headline or maybe a paid advertisement.

I don't really understand technically, waves are one of those who have advanced technology, but the problem is the waves don't have smart contracts like eth. and I admit that waves are crypto that have enough opportunities to grow in the next few years.

I know they have their advantages but i still don't like it, last time i invest in it because they were giving Airdrops for its holders but soon i bought them, the price of waves started dropping, it was as if they lured the investors to hold waves for Airdrop and then started selling their own coins

The word 'public' is very important here, there might be faster blockchains that doesn't fit to the definition of 'public'. Anyways, Waves is a great platform with wide potential for public and private application.

I thought there are so much projects that have already crossed the bar of 100k transactions per second. Look at Traxion project, they are promising the fastest blockchain in the crypto currencies history.

Even though I dont not hold this coin and technically, I am not an expert, I think what the author claimed in the article is reasonable (with a specific intention), one of them for the project itself. It would be nice if the author attaches data related to claims as the fastest public blockchain platform in the world.

I'm not too sure about that, the article does not mention exactly how fast the confirmation times are.
Frankly, the article reads more like an advertisement, since there's almost no editorial input.

The only thing we're getting are claims made by people who are involved with the project itself.

Steem and EOS both have confirmation times of just a couple of seconds.

Not very favorably. With Waves you see transaction in less than 1 second.

In any case EOS is more like Ripple with it's private master nodes - it's not proper decentralised blockchain.

I think the lack of marketing and more platform are the reasons why Waves' potential is not materializing, we know here that Waves is very fast but how about the people who are not here but looking for a fast payment method, the majority of topics here are all about Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Now waves are in position 21 in the coinmarketcap. Waves have to beat 18 on it to be the top 3 platform. The fastest public blockchain is not enough to be a top 3 platform, it has to be seen as well as other features so that it can be a top 3 platform.

Well yes. I am happy with the fees on Waves platform. They are orders of magnitude cheaper than Bitcoin. That's why I use Waves to store & move around all my other crypto. The trading fees on the Waves Distributed Exchange (WAVES DEX) are also cheap and I like having the same interface on my desktop & phone.

Waves is a potential coin and deserves to be a top 10 coins but it is  a long way to go to outperform ETH, I will definitely grab some more Wawes to my portfolio while it is relatively cheap.

This is a very promising cryptocurrency and I am sure that in the future it will be able to become one of the top in the market.

It already outperform ETH in terms of speed and performance and DAPPS based on Waves Platform RIDE standard will see a huge boost in usefullness in the next week or two.

Waves is a really great project. I met it's founder Alex Ivanov in Russia, he told about plans and amitions of Waves. As for me, I hold a lot of tokens and don't plan selling them in the nearest years. Their blockchain is fast.

Waves were in development in their own blockchain from last one year or so now their implementation of blockchain has really worked out well many projects are going to be developed in waves platform

Waves tech is at least as good as EOS but has much more history and is mature. Obviously it's much more decentralised as well and the community/support is second to none. I keep 40% BTC, 40% Waves, 10% EOS and 10% trading fund in my portfolio.
