Title: Multi Coin Pool CoinFu.io in Beta
Post by: thesmith on March 10, 2014, 06:53:23 AM
http://coinfu.io (http://coinfu.io)

How to Get Setup
CGMiner Command Line Example:

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://uswest.coinfu.io:3333 -u myrig1_17b2Yu4jmErkcBQrL39QxCXc15WZYokzKQ -p youremail@gmail.com

Set the username of your miner to WORKERNAME_BITCOINADDRESS and set the password to your email address. If a worker stops submitting shares for over 15 minutes, an email will be sent to alert you. You will also receive an email letting you know when your worker comes back online. The worker name and email are optional, but both are required to get email alerts. Do not use "--no-submit-stale" for cgminer as this would prevent cgminer from submitting shares that you would otherwise get credit for.

Giving this pool a shot today.  Looks interesting and the reported profitability seems excellent.

Looks solid so far - reasonable reject ratio, interesting coin choices, switching seems quite smart.  Coins have been exchanging quite quickly - most of my balance after a few hours is exchanged/ready to pay and there is a smaller chunk of immature.  Profit looks excellent so far, for a much-too-short sample window.

What's the fee going to be once it's out of beta? Will it stay at 1% like wafflepool?

Waffle has moved up to 2% per recent announcements in poolWaffle's thread.

I'm trying this pool out too... webbson's PoolPicker graph for this caught my eye... we'll see how it really performs.

Profits are looking great so far - 24 hour average is above 0.0061BTC/day per MH/s right now, and my earnings match this (reported hashrate is very stable/accurate on the site too).

My rigs are getting kicked over to their failover pool.  Something going on - possibly someone is attacking the pool.

Thats what the news on the website says. I been trying to mine there since yesterday and i lost most of the hashing i tried to send there.

Always have Failovers set in your mining software (if it supports it)... I have almost every multipool and a single LTC pool on my failover pool list just in case.

There have been DDOS attacks across various pools for the last week... Wafflepool, Clevermining, and now CoinFu.

We've been under attack since yesterday afternoon PDT. We are finding and fixing holes as fast as possible. As long as you can connect to the pool mining, it is still good to go. Our main goal is to provide the miners with the best service and profitability possible. Keeping a failover server will keep losses to a minimum while we get through these growing pains.

If any of the other crypto currency services want to team up to share techniques and ideas to prevent attacks on the community we would love to hear from you.

I do, cgwatcher kept changing from coinfu to backup pool to coinfu to backup pool 2, 1 switch every minute on the clock almost all night, i got about 25% of what i should have spreaded on 3 different multi-pool, cgwatcher seem a bit silly to have went all the way to 5th url on the list (pool #2) regularly just because it was first pool to offer work and then switch again after 1 minute, seemingly without finishing its share. (Or so i assume, i dont see why else)

Tldr *shrug* ima wait till coinfu is stabilized. :3

You guys really REALLY need to start reading before you post... the pool is STILL under DDOS attack.  Hence, pool is down/don't work/fubar/etc....

Jeez, it's even in the posts right above yours, it's not like you even have to scroll, much less go back to a previous page... after all, it IS only a 2 page thread so far... so even then it wouldn't be so bad.

Lovely UI BTW. It just needs a little bit correcting here and there, nothing critical tough. Looking forward to test the pool.

We took the pool down temporarily to solidify the performance and provide better service to the miners. Twitter or the twitter feed on our website http://coinfu.io (http://coinfu.io) will have the most up to date info. If you want to help us test you can keep your miner pointed at the pool and when we come back online you will start mining again. If you do that just make sure you have a backup. Also the 0.018... profitability is wrong and related to turning the pool off.

I was paid handsomely for hashing power I directed to CoinFu while the frontend was down (looks like a bit over 0.0065BTC/day per MH/s for yesterday).

---

Looking forward to seeing the pool back online.  Hope the dev/admin can get everything running stable - and continue to provide feedback and updates in this thread.

I have a feeling profitability will only stay as awesome so long as the pool hashrate stays below ~1GH/s tho.

Unfortunately I was probably late to this party... I only got 0.002somethingminiscule for my trouble yesterday (at about 3MHs)... I still have this pool as my primary on my GPU miners so I'm also eagerly awaiting it's return from DDOSville. :)

I have hopes for this pool just yet, if stability become solid :)

So while we wait for coin.fu to get back up.... What's everybody else using as failover?

I was on waffle the last two days as failover, but just jumped to Coinshift now that they hit 0.00580 BTC/MH: http://coinshift.com/stats/ (they've actual been bouncing between 0.00578 and. 0.00590 this morning). Clever was my usual goto, but has been down lately.

Title: Re: Multi Coin Pool CoinFu.io in Beta
Post by: dragonmike on April 03, 2014, 03:05:58 PM
My failover is called "shut down mining rig".
At these levels I am at the limit of profitability.

But tbh I'll turn it back on again because imo that's just our chance to snap up a few cheap BTC which will be good in the long run.

The real reason my rig is off is because my box fans broke down and I need to fix them ;-)

Title: Re: Multi Coin Pool CoinFu.io in Beta
Post by: 110110101 on April 03, 2014, 04:05:27 PM
Switching between Coinshift and Clevermining after seeing that the profitability on Wemineall fell below 0.004. Currently using coinshift while coinfu is offline. Dragonmike has a point though, the overall profit for alts right now is low, barely worth the effort to keep my small rig going.

You probably laugh but I'm still sitting on Ghash.io as my failover LTC pool... I must admit I was one of those suckers who jumped from Clever during 2 x LTC promo at ghash and ended up staying. I certainly can not wait to try coinfu but I have this strange feeling coinfu PO may be over his head here unlike star PO from Clever... No offense.

I just switched back to CoinFu a couple hours ago and my stats page seems to be functioning normally.  I really wish they would add graph trending like Wafflestats uses.
http://waffles.wilschrader.com

I stopped mining at Wafflepool a few weeks ago, but I loved this stats page.  It is extremely customizable and user friendly.  I don't have any current data showing on the site, so I'll share a random persons.  Make sure to check out the details and charts tabs.

I´m seeing very low profitability. I have 6.1 MH/s (steady, with a 0.5 to 1% reject rate) pointed at coinfu, and yesterday´s payment was 0.02017, or 0.00331 BTC per MH/d. that is very short from the latest profitability numbers posted (0.004621 btc/mh/day) Any idea what could be the issue?

Cryptsy didn't show any of our transfered blocks so we weren't able to trade them until they got that sorted out. The profitability is back to normal now.

I'm back on the 'Fu after a slight redirect to another pool! I'm wondering though if anyone here knows if there are any flags that would help get more results out of my mining? I know for starters that you shouldn't use the --no-submit-stale flag but are there any other less known flags that people would benefit from?

Yes, the email function is down at this time. We are working on it and should have it back up this week.

If you provide your address, I'd be happy to look into the discrepancy with the reported profitability versus what you have been paid. If you don't mine continuously with us profitability can vary greatly depending on how lucky we get with larger coins. This will even out over the long run and as the pool hash rate increases. My personal accounts are very similar to the overall pool profitability.

We did a final payout right after we turned the server off.
